Hey @ButterscotchBabe! Continuing our chat here 😁

I loooove that your temps did exactly what mine did too. So good that AF hasn't arrived at CD26!! Happy for you! When your temps increased last month, was it is to a gradual high or did it jump up again and then AF started? Because if this pattern is new, it could mean good news!

Ours definitely look like the beginning of a triphasic chart. My temps last month started dropping at 7DPO, so it still being high at 9DPO is such an achievement for me and no sign of AF either although my vulva feels AF'y in a weird way. My pulse and breathing rate have also continued to shoot up!! If temps don't tell you AF is coming, pulse rate defo will because it always starts falling a few days before AF for me.

I do suspect chemical but no BFP so can't confirm and nothing else changed that cycle so I can't explain it. Hormones were defo the reason I never took the pill, it plays such a big part in changing your reproductive cycle that of course it would have an affect on cycles after you come off them! 45 day cycles sound like a nightmare - especially when TTC too.

I do have a FRER! I'm always so scared to use it though. I always use rubbish ICs which probably aren't the best thing but I will use my FRER with you!

I like predicting what my temps will do with DH. What do you think will happen tomorrow? I think both our temps will go up again 😆

Hey how did your appointment go? Did you manage to ask everything you wanted? I hope it went well and you're happy with the consultant's suggestions.

My interview went well, I'm really pleased and think I answered everything okay! I'll find out early next week 🤞🤞. Ovulation pain has been much better today, thank god!

Before I went on the pill my cycles were 27-29 days and I do remember some boob pain. I had terrible period pain and heavy flow but don't remember having ovulation pain.

Oooh I wonder if you getting boob pain earlier means higher progesterone levels? That will be really interesting to do the test again, hopefully it will be higher! I don't really know what impact vitamins can have but lots of people have reported cycle changes after taking vitamins. How long were you taking the Agnus Castus for? I think it was only 1 cycle?

Wow that's surprising that lady got pregnant after just cutting out a food item! There are tests you can order that test for allergies or intolerances, my Dad did one but it came back with loads of stuff so I don't know how accurate they are. Could be worth trying though?! Love snickers 😋

I don't know when my af is gonna show because I haven't ovulated this late before, so if my LP is 8 days then it would be next Saturday 6th March, appointment is on 3rd March so I'll still be in my TWW. Haha I also like to be in control, so I've planned out what I want to happen, if the consultant doesn't agree then it might get awkward 😂.

Yeh my role has peaks where it's really busy (generally every quarter) and then quiet periods, we're currently at the end of a busy period! Wow that's amazing you were given a day off in recognition of your work! Is the app something your work will sell or is it something they can use to help the business?

Gosh that story is shocking, I'm surprised they kept him until he was 17, I think if I had a child like that I would have given them up for adoption a long time ago. I think evil people probably recognise they are different to others but their thoughts and actions are natural to them and so they probably don't consider themselves evil.

ButterscotchBabe · 26/02/2021 18:01

Ahh didn't see you'd sent another message!

Yay congratulations on the completion date! Oooh a chair body massager sounds amazing! Least you don't have to do it then 😂😂.

Okay so he doesn't want to check your fallopian tubes yet? That's good to know the spotting during ovulation is not a concern. Yay that's great you've got some progesterone coming! Will it arrive in time for you to take this cycle?

unCliche · 26/02/2021 20:57

Ah that's great! I knew you'd do well. Next week will definitely be a good week for both of us! Hopefully they don't keep you waiting too long🤞 glad you feel better too - you sounded like you were really unwell!

So the pill has really messed up your cycle. 27 - 29 days is literally the perfect cycle, especially if you ovulated at a good time. Even having PMS symptoms showed your hormones were doing what they were supposed to. Can't believe how much the pill has affected your cycles. So annoying!

I was thinking about testing this cycle but I think I might wait until I start taking the progesterone pessaries to see if they're working. Yeah. I took the agnus castus for just a cycle. Apparently it's a very slow working herb so it may not have made a massive impact of my cycle. I think the B vitamins would have had the bigger affect. You've stopped taking the B vitamins right?

I think I'm mildly allergic to nuts anyway. Sometimes my throat feels tight after I've eaten nuts but I still like nuts! 😁 Do you have any allergies?

AF is due 7th for me so looks like our next cycles will start at similar times. We'll be cycle buddies again! Haha your consultant will be confused as to who is meant to be consulting with who 😂😂 hopefully you get everything you want!

Let's hope things calm down for you at work, but with the new job, will you be even busier? No, there are currently no plans to commercialise the app, plus it was just meant to be a proof of concept, that's all.

I didn't ask about my tubes but if we do get to easter and we haven't conceived we'll probably go ahead and do the additional checks. I'm planning on buying and taking the progesterone next cycle. They'll send me the prescription then I guess I'll have to buy/order the pessaries myself.

You're 1dpo. Any symptoms yet?? 😂

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 28/02/2021 09:18

Yeh Thursday was pretty awful with ovulation pain but since then it's been much better 🙂. No other symptoms at the moment 😂 how about you? You're 5DPO so almost in implantation territory!

Yeh the pill is a nightmare, health professionals should be more honest about how it affects your cycle. Whereas all they tell you is you can get pregnant after missing one pill!!

After thinking about it more, I'm a bit surprised your consultant prescribed progesterone and not clomid or something else to help ovulation because wasn't it him who explained that low progesterone is caused by a weak ovulation? So surely the idea would be to fix the cause of the problem, not the symptoms?

I hope the progesterone works for you, if you can get hold of it before your temp starts dropping, it could be worth taking this cycle?

I haven't taken any B vitamins yet this cycle but I was thinking about taking them. Last cycle I took them in my LP and I wonder if they are what's caused a later ovulation, maybe they took a while to kick in 🤔. However you also took them last cycle and your ovulation has come earlier?

Can you be mildly allergic to something? Maybe it's an intolerance? I like nuts with chocolate, not so keen on their own 😂. That reminds me, I need to coat some more Brazil nuts in chocolate! I don't have any allergies thankfully.

I can already anticipate there's gonna be some tension because DP's view is to let the professionals do their job and decide what's best for us, but I've done lots of research and read lots of other people's experiences, so I already know how I want it to go 😂. I can just see the consultant and DP ganging up on me!

If I get the role my job won't change, it just means the job has turned from temporary to permanent. So the busy/quiet peaks will remain the same. I'm not sure what you mean by proof of concept? Is it just to prove that it can be done?

Have you still managed to stay away from any monitoring? My temp was looking really good Fri and Sat but has come down a little this morning ☹️.

9DPO Symptom Spotting
unCliche · 28/02/2021 16:28

My cycle is going ok. Boobs are still sore and nipple soreness has been coming and going. More PMS symptoms can only be a good thing right? My cousin messaged me today asking if I was pregnant because her friend had a dream that I was. How random?? She's not even someone I'm that acquainted with. Do you know anyone whose dreams generally come true?

I think women should have better information about what goes inside their body. But until men choose to take responsibility for pregnancy prevention, that's just never going to happen. If you had to choose contraception again, what would you go for? I used to have the coil, but got it removed after a few weeks because it had dislodge itself.

I guess he thinks my ovulation is fine, since I ovulate regularly and my follicles look big and healthy enough. Maybe progesterone will do the job. Who knows...? Anyway, I'm leaving it to the experts because clearly anything I try never works. I haven't received the prescription yet, I'll probably get it tomorrow. If I can get to a pharmacy quickly then I'll be able to potentially start using it this cycle.

On the B-Vitamins, I always ovulated on day 14 or 15. When I came off them, this cycle, it was day 13 so they probably had zero impact on my cycle but could still potentially have an impact on yours. But I think it's hard to pinpoint reasons why things happen. It could just be that this month, your hormones wanted to relax a little before getting to work 😁 Since it's just one cycle, it might not mean anything yet. But still bring it up during your appointment.

I can definitely see a battle of wills happening during your appointment! 😂 It's going to be interesting to see what they say, especially if it's completely different to what you want. Do you plan on telling them what you want or will you ask them if you can have what you want? Might be worth having some research papers with you so you can quote the experts 😂😂 Then they'll really think you're crazy. I know my consultant already thinks I am 😁

Ah! Ok, it's the same job role! That's good then. Nothing changes for you. Yeah, a proof of concept basically shows that it can be done.

Yup! Still haven't monitored this cycle. I haven't even checked CM for a few days now. I already know I've ovulated so there's nothing else monitoring will tell me. Your temps look ok so far. I think one temp doesn't matter. If it keeps going down, then I'll start getting concerned but hopefully tomorrow, it jumps up!

I've had quite a busy weekend. On Friday, I had a boozy zoom call with old school friends. Then I went for a four hour walk yesterday with DH and our friends. Then I had to dismantle the rabbit enclosure as I had found a buyer on Facebook. I was just planning on throwing it away but glad I sold it as I got £150 for it. I guess that'll go towards DH's bday present. I'll have to spend most of today packing too. How has your weekend been? One more week until our week off!! 💃💃💃

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 01/03/2021 18:11

Yes definitely a good thing to be getting earlier/more PMS symptoms, that can only mean higher progesterone! Oooh that's interesting about your cousin's friend's dream! I've heard that in early pregnancy women sometimes have pregnancy dreams before they find out but it's odd that someone you're not close to would dream that. Let's hope it's true!!

Lol yeh you're right, anything to do with women's health just doesn't get taken that seriously. Oh no, was that painful when the coil dislodged itself? I'm not sure if I'd take any contraception again, I don't mind if our children are close in age, so I'd probably only consider it if we have 3 children. I might try the natural way of avoiding DTD during fertile period, although it's a bit risky! At the moment I can't imagine a time in my life when I wouldn't want to get pregnant 😂.

Yeh I think it's quite common for the follicular phase to vary a bit but the luteal phase normally stays the same. Funny how ours both decided to do different things on this cycle!

😂😂 I think I'll wait and see what they say first and then if I don't like it, I'll step in and say what I think should happen! Not sure I can quote Mumsnet as a reliable research paper 😂😂.

So I was partly successful with the job, it's a complicated situation but basically 3 jobs were advertised, however only 2 are confirmed, the 3rd post is waiting on next year's budget announcement. So I've been offered the 3rd post, my Manager is confident it will be fine but can't confirm until the budget is known. I should find out in the next couple of weeks.

Haha a boozy zoom call sounds fun! Wow a four hour walk, you must have been tired afterwards! That's great news you managed to get some money for the rabbit enclosure 😊, have you decided what date you're gonna move in? Or are you still awaiting confirmation? My weekend was very uneventful, I was surprisingly tired on Saturday and slept most of the day. I think the busy days and interview prep wore me out!

Did you manage to stop your DH getting a treadmill? Or is he planning on getting it for the new place?

Yes! Can't wait for a week off 😀😀

unCliche · 02/03/2021 15:15

How are your temps now? Have they gone back up again? Anything different in your chart apart from that dip? Yesterday, I was thinking about what my chart would be doing at 6DPO and I think it would be at about 36.64. I did decide to check CM and I have loads of creamy CM but creamy is normal for me at this point in my cycle so not much has changed there. I just can't remember what the amount in past cycles were like.

Do you sometimes go back and read through our chat to remember what your body was doing on a specific date? This is like our own private shared diary 😄😄

7 DPO and I feel nothing 😫 Sore boobs. Sore nipples. But nothing new. How about you?

No, I felt no pain from my dislodge coil. The nurse was very surprised when I told her I didn't feel anything. Maybe it broke my uterus. I don't think I'd ever use contraception either. Once we're finally done with the baby-making, DH is getting the snip ✂️ Would your DP do the same?

Hahahaa!! I would laaaaugh if you jumped in and said "well, actually, user unCliche from mumsnet said that when..." 😂😂😂 Your DP would probably ask you to stay away from mumsnet forever.

Yaaay! Congrats on getting the job. 💃🎊🎉 They got back to you very quickly! Have hope that they'll have the budget! But for them to advertise 3 roles means that they're confident that they will. If they don't what will happen? Will you look for another job?

Our move in date will be whenever we can book movers for. Hopefully it'll be some time early next week. We're still in the process of packing but I feel like it's going to take ages!
It's good to sometimes do nothing on the weekends, and at least you were able to get some rest. Are you feeling less tired now? I feel so sleepy everyday. My head touches the pillow and I'm gone 😴😂

He's planning on getting a rowing machine now. But only after we've moved into the new place. We came to a compromise, that he's only allowed one machine and a weight bench. I'm thinking about getting a boxing bag to release pent up frustration 😁 Then once we've built our outdoor gym, he can have as many equipment as he wants.

My prescription came today. It's for 15 pills so I guess it's not smart to start taking them midway through my cycle, especially if I'll need all 15 next cycle. Maybe I'll test with an FRER at 10DPO depending on what my CM is doing and if it's a BFP (which I highly doubt) then I'll speak to the consultant about whether I should take the pessaries to help with the pregnancy.

I wouldn't mind a November baby - it would be my own special birthday present 💕 And hopefully a BFP could be DH's present too.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 02/03/2021 20:24

Had a good rise this morning 😀 although my pre ovulation temps were higher this cycle, so in comparison I don't know if it is a high temp 🤔. Nothing else to report, had some creamy CM but I've had this on previous cycles so I don't think it means anything.

Haha I did look back through a while ago as I wanted to check something, I felt sorry for our old selves, as at the time we were thinking we could be pregnant! I wonder if anyone else reads this thread, it's like an ongoing story!

Do you think you'd be more concerned if you didn't have sore boobs? I'd love to have sore boobs as that would be something new and could be a sign! Although I've stopped looking out for symptoms now and am just focused on getting some treatment. It will be amazing if the progesterone pessaries do it for you, that would be a lovely easy fix 😊.

Haha does your DH know he's getting the snip? 😂😂 I don't think we'd do that, I think I'd always want the option to be there, just in case we wanted more children.

😂😂 I think Mumsnet is so useful, you can learn a lot from people's experiences, rather than reading what the human body should do in a textbook. If only we could prescribe our own treatments 😂.

If I don't get a permanent position, my assignment lasts until July so I'll have until then to find another job. Fingers crossed the budget works out okay! Have you taken your free day off you were awarded?

Yes it is surprising how long packing takes, I think most people (inc myself) don't realise how much they've accumulated 😂. Are you leaving anything for the removal men to pack?

Yes I have felt less tired today 🙂, ah that's lucky you can fall asleep as soon as your head touches the pillow, it often takes me ages, my mind starts wondering! How has your sleep been lately? Have you been able to sleep through the night?

That's good you came to a compromise, do you think you'll use the rowing machine? Oooh a boxing bag would be cool, my brother has one and at Christmas we had a go. He has two sets of boxing gloves so we also had a little boxing match 😂.

Ah I'm surprised he only gave you 15, were they expensive? So you'll be 10DPO on Friday? That's not far away! I plan on testing on Sunday if I make it to then without af!

Aww hopefully you'll get to give him a BFP, that would be so sweet 😊. It's a busy month for you with your anniversary, your DH's birthday and moving house! You'll have to go out, treat yourselves and celebrate when restrictions allow 🍹🍸🎉

Woooo! Your temps look great!! Did you make it past 36.8 today? Maybe having higher FP temps balances out the rise but what you're looking for is a rise of 0.5 between FP and LP and I think you have that (although I don't know if it's from the lowest temp or the average temp). Also, your appointment is today!! Tell me everything! How did it go? What did you say? What did they say? I'm looking forward to this!!

I feel sorry for us all the time. Like I'll read something from previous entries like, "I have this new symptom, I wonder if it means anything" and in my head I'll be screaming, it means NOTHING! 😂 Poor us! I wish we could see if people are watching this thread. We might have to be more dramatic with our storytelling just to add some pazzazz to this thread.

Girl, you do not want sore boobs. Trust me! This cycle, they have been horrid. I'm not entirely sure what to do with them but I'm seriously wishing AF to come round quickly. Usually every cycle, they ache deeply and get really heavy and hurt when I move. Now they feel sore. Not achy. Sore. Like my breasts have been on fire. And my nipples!! My God!! My nipples 🤢 The feeling has been disgusting. It's like a sensitivity that when touched, it reverberates all the way through me. Yeah... No thanks. The fact that you can confirm ovulation every cycle is enough. You don't need this extra progesterone fuelled drama (and this is with me having low progesterone!)

Welcome to the implantation zone! Have you been feeling anything yet? Last night, I felt like I was getting stabbed by a million needles under my skin in my pelvic area. It did hurt but I was in loads of pain last cycle and that meant F all! 😂😂 So just AF gearing up ⚙️

Looool we've spoken about it and he seems to be onboard with it ✂️ The good thing is that a vasectomy is reversible but I can't imagine wanting more kids after we've had three so it'll probably stay snipped forever. What if you're 45, still fertile but you don't want anymore kids, would you use condoms?

Definitely much better hearing real life experiences. Doctors can be very insular. If it's not in a textbook somewhere, it can't be real. And how are we supposed to trust males doctors with our bodies. They may know the theory but they will never know what it feels like to menstruate or carry a child within you. Are we just supposed to take their word for it?

I'm taking my day off next Friday, so I'll be off from Friday this week to Friday next week. 🤞🤞 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully they won't keep you waiting too long before you hear back about the position. July isn't too far away so I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Nah, I think we'll pack everything ourselves. We've booked in 9th March with the movers, so this time next week, we'll be in our new home! I've packed all our clothes into bin bags and I'll probably start moving things over once we get the keys on Friday. Do you do a wardrobe clear out when you move? I'm looking to donate stuff to charity.

My sleep has been great! I'm only ever anxious during the end of my cycle when I'm apprehensive about AF starting. So I'm probably getting closer to insomnia territory again. I had a nightmare two nights ago 😱 It was full of murder and violence. I woke up to my heart racing and it took me a while to settle down. Horrible stuff! Have you still been having your weird dreams?

I'm ok with rowing machines. I'd use them over a treadmill, that's for sure. Those boxing punch bags are so hard to hit right?? I was going to represent my company in a charity boxing event and when I went for training, I tried punching the bags and they're so heavy and barely move when I hit them! Aw that sounds really fun! I'd love a boxing match! Mine got cancelled because of covid.

I'm not sure where to order the pessaries from. I wonder if I can just go into Boots pharmacy. The consultant said they were cheap, so I can't imagine them being overly expensive. Looks like it's about £1 a pessasrie. So inexpensive enough.

March definitely is shaping out to be a good month. Do you have anything exciting happening for you this month? Apart from your appointment today, which I'm looking forward to hearing about!!!

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 03/03/2021 14:33

Temp went down this morning so unfortunately not hit 36.8 yet! I woke up in the middle of the night and had some mild central cramping but probably means nothing!

So had the appointment this morning, the Doctor was really lovely, she was very calm and sweet natured. Although I did struggle to hear her sometimes because the connection was poor! So she wants to do a sperm analysis, pelvic ultrasound and a few blood tests to work out what my hormones are doing. So between CD1-CD5 I need to get a blood test for FSH and LH levels, then I need to do a 21 day progesterone test but that's difficult with my cycle so I might have to do 3, on CD17, CD19 and CD21 but it will depend when I ovulate.

She's happy to prescribe me Clomid but wants to wait until the tests have all come back so they've got a picture of what's going on. Also there's no point me taking ovulation medication if DP's sperm aren't working! I asked about Gonadotropins and she said they normally only prescribe them for IUI or IVF and they're a lot more expensive. I was hoping she'd prescribe me something to start taking in my next cycle but it makes sense to do the tests first.

So overall I'm happy with the appointment, we're gonna receive a pot in the post which DP needs to fill and then take to the hospital within an hour! Luckily we only live 20 mins away. I think DP is relieved he can do it at home and not in the hospital 😂.

Oh gosh that sounds awful, I'm surprised your boob and nipple pain is so bad with low progesterone, I wonder what it will be like when you take the progesterone pessaries 😕.

That's a strange symptom feeling like you're being stabbed by needles 😣. It's crazy what our bodies can do! I hope you're in less pain today? When is your af due?

Hmmm I'm really not sure what I'd do about contraception in 10-15 years, I guess we'll cross that bridge when it comes!

Ah cool so only 1 day left of work for you after today 😊. Yay you've got a move in date! So is everything confirmed now with the sale? Yeh I've moved loads of times and always use the opportunity to chuck out clothes I'm not wearing anymore. Although it's gonna be hard doing that now because you probably haven't worn many of your clothes because of lockdowns, not because you don't like them!

Gosh that nightmare sounds horrible, it's crazy because in the dream (nightmare) it feels so real! I haven't had anymore rememberable dreams since that one, so maybe my emotions have sorted themselves out for now 😂. Do you think you might be able to sleep better this time as af approaches? You've got progesterone to try for the next cycle and if that doesn't work then it will be almost Easter, so you'll be going back to the consultant for next steps. Hopefully it will relax you more knowing you've got a plan and are actively doing things to make a difference 🙂.

Haha I guess they've got to be fairly heavy as they need to represent a person. I'm thinking of joining a martial arts class when restrictions allow, it's good for fitness and would be good to learn self defense.

Yeh I'd try Boots or a supermarket pharmacy might be cheaper. So you've saved your other progesterone test to do next cycle?

Nothing else exciting happening really, just the job and fertility tests!

unCliche · 03/03/2021 17:25

Yaaaaaaaaaay!!! Your lucky DP! I read you have to keep the semen at body temperature while you go to deliver it, so you might need to hold it between your thighs (or boobs??) on your drive there if your DP is driving. Glad they're jumping right in with all the tests. You won't have to wait too long for your day 3 bloods. Day 21 bloods is a bit tricky. Even if you wait 7 days after you ovulate, that might not be when your progesterone peaks. Will you have to pay for each blood test you have?

Good news about the clomid too! Did you ask about IVF? Sounds like that's the only way you'd get the medication you want. But at least you're now two cycles away from potentially starting on clomid! Hopefully your DPs SA comes back ok so you have less to deal with. How is your DP feeling about the conversation. Is he hopeful? Did the doctor say anything about your short LP? Did you talk about your BBT charts? Did she say how much the clomid would cost? Is it pricey?

Sucks your temp went down slightly. Isn't it 5dpo where you usually get a dip? Interesting that you got a jump this time. Oh did the cramping wake you up? Was it painful? Are you still cramping?

(Sorry, I have so many questions today!)

I have loads of creamy CM today. I feel leaky and it feels like someone emptied a whole tube of thick hand cream inside me. By now CM would be sticky but my vagina feels like it's coated in cream 🥴 I think I'm going to go back through this thread to check what my CM has been like in previous cycles. Maybe it's normal.

😱😱😱 PMS on progesterone. I don't think I want to know either 😭 I hope it's the complete opposite and I have no PMS. I actually feel a bit better today. Nipples don't feel as terrible. Phew! The needle-like stabbing hasn't returned either so I'm feeling pretty normal!

Yeah, looks like everything is confirmed with the sale (or at least I hope so.) We checked our online bank account and they've added our mortgage account to it! So our mortgage deed must have been sent off and everything completed!

I've somehow managed to convince myself that I'm still going to wear clothes that I haven't worn in years so I'm keeping lots of stuff 😂😂 and you're right, lockdown hasn't helped at all! Do you find yourself living in the same clothes? Did you manage to finish your jacket project?

Aww I liked interpreting your dream! But it's good that your subconscious is at peace 😂 Maybe because you've gotten the job now! I'm not sure how I'll sleep if I'm honest. It does get easier to sleep the longer it takes for me to conceive so with that and the excitement of trying progesterone next cycle maybe that'll make me sleep easier. And yeah, I've saved my progesterone test for next cycle so hopefully the results will show the pessaries are working.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 03/03/2021 20:42

I can just imagine holding the sample and then DP slams on the breaks or goes round a corner quickly and I get covered in it 😂😂. Yes I'll be able to do the FSH and LH tests next week and for the ultrasound I'll receive an appointment by letter, so hopefully that won't be too far away. Yeh the progesterone is tricky, I'll make a decision on that next cycle when I'm closer to ovulation! Each blood test is £45, the SA is £105 and ultrasound £160, so it's quickly adding up!

I didn't ask about IVF but she mentioned it as an option further down the line but is hopeful that medication will be enough. DP hasn't really said much, whenever I mention the SA he doesn't want to talk about it, I think he's feeling a bit uncomfortable but he's gonna have to suck it up, I'll be going through a lot worse! I mentioned the OPKs and BBT monitoring, she didn't say too much but advised that short LP can indicate that I'm not ovulating. Although it's strange because the OPKs show that I am 🤷. I didn't ask about the cost of Clomid but just did a quick Google search and looks like it's around £15 for 30 pills so fairly cheap.

Yes 5DPO is when I normally get a dip but it seems my body wants to do something different this cycle 😂. The cramping was very mild, I think I only noticed it because I happened to be awake, no more cramping today.

Oooh lots of creamy cm, that's a positive sign, do you think it's more than you would usually have? I recall you mentioning creamy cm before but it sounds like it's a lot more this time! You still planning on testing on Friday? I'll probably do an IC on Saturday and a FRER on Sunday if I make it that far.

Glad you're feeling better/normal today, sometimes that's easier, it's a love/hate relationship with TWW symptoms 😂.

Yay that's great news on the mortgage! In a week's time you'll be in your new home 😀🎉🎉. How will you move the bunnies? Do you have carriers for them?

Yeh I've pretty much worn the same few clothes for the past year (most being pyjamas 😂). Nope still working on the jacket, although I haven't done for a couple of weeks, I'll try and finish it next week when I'm off. Did you manage to get some pics in the new dress you made?

Wishing you happy dreams and a peaceful night's sleep!🌜😴😴✨

Haha that'd be a story for the grandkids 😂 Kidding! But it will definitely be a good story for mumsnet. Have you ever started a post on anything non-TTC related? Seeing private healthcare prices makes you appreciate the NHS. I haven't had to use it much, but if I needed serious medical help, it could easily be in the tens of thousands. Just googled how much a colposcopy with cervical biopsy costs and it's about £800 😱😱😱 and I literally got that done a few months back on the NHS!!

I'm pretty hopeful that medication will be enough for you guys too. I guess SA analysis can be a bit awkward to talk about. No one really wants to discuss their masturbation with someone else 😂 But you're right, you'll be doing a lot more than what he has to. Hopefully your scan will show a good follicle count and size but my consultant said it doesn't tell you anything about the quality of the eggs, so while we both definitely ovulate, our eggs could just be shit. Clomid should fix that for you so you're definitely in a good place to be!

Have you had anymore cramping? I haven't, but even if I did, it wouldn't mean anything. My boobs and nipples are still sore but my theory is that the vitamins I was taking suppressed quite a bit of my PMS but now that I'm off them, my body has gone full PMS-monster. CM doesn't seem to be creamy anymore but I still feel leaky. It's still white but more watery so I'm guessing AF will be starting soon 🤷‍♀️ Not sure if it's even worth testing tomorrow. I hope you can make it to Sunday though. Maybe your good news is right around the corner!

We've exchange contracts today and we'll complete tomorrow! All our funds are in so tomorrow we'll officially be homeowners!! We're moving the rabbits in tomorrow too to give them some time to adjust to the new house. They have a carrier so we'll transport them in that. I'm so excited!!

Yeaah definitely find some time to do some sewing. It's so hard finding things to do on your time off during lockdown but luckily we both have things to focus on. I never did manage to take pics of the dress 🙈

How's your DP getting on with the house chores 😂 Is he looking forward to starting his new job? My DH has decided to get himself another job to do on the weekend - working as an executive at a start up. I don't know why it's necessary and I worry he won't have time for me (and the kids) anymore 😔

Temp has come down again ☹️ so expecting af in the next couple of days. How are you feeling today?

No I haven't posted anything non TTC related, I was tempted to make a post about Mumsnet etiquette, one of my pet hates is people jumping on someone else's post and asking questions about themselves!

Yes we are very lucky to have the NHS but we do pay for it with our taxes, so definitely use it if you need to. Our consultant said we would be eligible for NHS funded IVF so if it gets to that, we could easily swap over. However if there's a long waiting list we may have to pay for it.

I guess we'd only know our egg quality if we couldn't get pregnant and had to do IVF, then they'd know if the sperm and egg struggled to make an embryo. That would be devastating to have poor egg quality because I don't think there's anything you can do to improve that.

No more cramping for me and no other symptoms at all! PMS-monster 😂😂 oh dear! Well very soon you'll either have a BFP or af so the PMS symptoms won't last much longer. Of course if you get a BFP then I'm sure you won't mind symptoms! Do you have an IC you could use tomorrow? That way if you don't see a line then you don't need to waste a FRER but if you see something then you can confirm it with a FRER?

Yay how exciting! Aww the rabbits will be living in the house before you will!

That's a shame about the dress, can you take a pic before you leave? Or maybe you can find a nice spot in your new home?

DP's got a bit slack with the chores, I keep reminding him there's jobs to do 😂😂. Oh no why's he done that? That's a shame because he won't have any down time and you won't get to spend much time together. Is he a workaholic?

Oh no, it looks like it's dropping quite early. I hate that we know our bodies enough to predict if AF is coming. I'm sorry in advance 😔 But I am really curious to see how clomid will affect your chart. We'll have to celebrate when you have your first 12+ day LP and your first 36.8+ temp. Are you still going to DTD lots next cycle or take a break and wait for the clomid?

I'm feeling quite disappointed today. My nipples are less sore so my progesterone must be dropping which means AF is right around the corner for me too. I don't want to be sad because we were taking a break this cycle but it sucks that it still didn't happen, even when we relaxed. I don't think I'm going to test this cycle unfortunately. There's no point. How did you feel when you passed your 6 month mark TTC? I feel like a statistic. And not a good one 😔

I wonder how much we've contributed to the NHS. We'd have to get our monies worth. If you can get IVF on the NHS then you'd definitely be using up as much as you've put in. When we've reached a year TTC maybe we'll go for it too. Let's hope that we meet the criteria and the waiting list isn't too long.

The consultant said DH and I are highly likely to conceive but it just doesn't feel like it. There could be hidden things wrong with us. I just don't believe low sperm count and low progesterone are the only things we're battling with. I just feel so hopeless! I don't even think the pessaries will work! 😫 I'm not usually a negative person but I just don't think it'll happen for me 😭

Hehe, I'll have to train the rabbits to not chew things and poop everywhere. Rabbits apparently don't like perfume, so I'll spray things I want to protect in some cheap perfume and hopefully they won't chew on them. I can't wait to live with them though!

Haha you should punish your DP 😈 What does he currently do all day? Yeah, I would say DH does get too consumed in work. It can be annoying when I want his attention. BTW, I sent you a message on LinkedIn for a role DH is recruiting in. If your DP is still looking, maybe he'd be interested in it.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 05/03/2021 10:25

Temp went back up a little this morning so there's still hope! How are you today? Did you decide not to test?

Yeh we'll still keep trying whilst waiting for the Clomid, I wouldn't want to waste a cycle but it definitely helps having low expectations 😂. Although even with low expectations it still hurts everytime af arrives. I didn't think much of the 6 month mark because supposedly it takes a year for 80% of couples to get pregnant and 2 years for 90%.

You've still got a really good chance each cycle and especially now you've got progesterone to help. How many cycles do you think you will try progesterone for before going back to the consultant? I'm planning on trying Clomid for 2 cycles and then I'll seek IVF.

It's a postcode lottery for how long a waiting list your local NHS trust has, you can speed things up by paying for the tests and appointments and apparently it's easy to then be swapped over to NHS funding for IVF.

I'm not sure you can train rabbits 😕. Haha your DH will love you spraying everything in purfume 😂😂. Also it might not be good for the rabbits to breathe in, for furniture I'd recommend covering it in blankets when the rabbits are out, or keep them in a room where you don't mind if things get chewed.

He's not doing a lot at the moment, he keeps wanting to do garden jobs but I want him to do house jobs 😂. When DP was working if I wanted his attention I would steal his phone, put it down my pants and run and hide. Then he'd have to come and find me and get it off me 😂😂. The perks of home working!

Thanks for sending that role, I showed DP and the job looks really interesting and he liked the company your DH works for. The experience required is bit above DP's ability at the moment and getting to London on a regular basis would be costly. However it's definitely something he'd be interested in, in the future, thank you for thinking of him 😊.

Phew! What a day! I had a little cry when I went to check my CM and saw it was really, really watery. And there was a lot there! So another unsuccessful cycle. I was in the middle of being sad when we got the call that we could collect the keys to the new house, so I wasn't in the mood to be excited. I did cheer up eventually, especially as we've now moved the rabbits in. They're a bit nervous so they've stayed in one spot all day, just snuggled up together sleeping.

Yaaay! For your temp rise! Sounds like something positive to celebrate today 😊 You're pretty deep into implantation zone, have you been feeling anything? I've worn a bra all day so I'm not sure what my boobs and nipples are doing but I know they'll somehow be doing something that shows AF is coming. The 6 month mark is kind of depressing though. The majority of people TTC would have been successful by now, so we're in the minority, which sucks. Plus if we were over 35, we'd be expected to see our GPs 😔

Well, the consultant is keen on having DH doing another SA and he pretty much thinks that I'm fine and DH is the one to worry about. Maybe after this cycle of progesterone, we'll have DH do another SA and maybe I'll get my tubes checked too. After two cycles on clomid, will you be eligible for IVF on the NHS then?

Rabbits can definitely be trained! They're very intelligent. Just stubborn 😅😂 They can understand their name and simple words, like NO! Today I checked my rabbits and my grey one had poop all over his bottom and caked into his fur. Poor baby. I wonder if he's the one who had diarrhoea. We cleaned him up with some wipes and he was surprisingly very calm and didn't make a fuss. Maybe he knew we were helping him. We'll definitely be covering our furniture as they're currently set up in the living room! Kitchen/Dining room wouldn't be appropriate with fur flying everywhere!

Garden jobs?? In this weather? The grass would be too wet to be mowed unless he wants to do some weeding? Haha you're silly! I love it! That's definitely something I'd do to DH 🤣🤣🤣 I love attention seeking 😁

Ah annoying! Ok, I'll get DH to update me on roles that come up that require a little less experience. DH said the salary for the role is 90k, so it's definitely a very senior role and a lot of work too.

How was your last day before your time off?

Temp has gone up again today but when I wiped this morning there was a slight brown tinge to the creamy cm, so I think af will arrive tomorrow. Oh that sucks about the watery cm, probably a sign of estrogen? Anymore symptoms for you or has af arrived?

Yay you're in, you're officially homeowners! 🎉🎉 That's so cute the bunnies snuggling up together, they'll be wondering what's going on! Do they ever hump each other?? I used to have a male rabbit and he would hump anything he could get on 😂😂.

No more symptoms for me, I only had that very light brief cramping a few days ago, nothing since. Is your af predicted to arrive tomorrow? I think your LP is normally 11 days? Yeh it does suck to hit the 6 month mark but I try and view it as each month it doesn't happen, you're getting closer to it happening! When af arrives I'll be on my 9th cycle but I think because I was warned I might have trouble conceiving because of the peritonitis, I've always expected it not to be easy. It's probably harder for you because there's no known reason why it's not happening 🤔.

Lol your DH was probably hoping he could get away with not doing another SA 😂. If you've never had an infection or surgery in that area, then it's unlikely your tubes would be blocked but worth checking. I don't think you need to have clomid to be eligible for IVF but it's normally their first thing to try. However I'm considering getting them to investigate adhesions on my ovarys or womb because there's no point me taking clomid if there's scarring causing a blockage.

Oh no! I wonder if he was nervous of the move and maybe that caused the diarrhea? That's lucky he was calm and let you get the poo off him, that must of been quite difficult being caked into the fur! Haha yeh hairy food isn't the best 😂😂

We've had quite a few sunny days lately, I'm guessing it's been raining where you are? Haha yeh it's fun to act childish and seek attention 😊😂😂. Not much else to do at the moment anyway!

Have you seen the new Banksy painting?

Wowsers that salary is tasty! But yeh something less senior would probably be more appropriate. When we get to meet up in Bristol they can have a good chat about data!

Last day was good thanks, just finishing off some work, it was quite chilled. I'm gonna carry on working on the jacket today, try and make some more progress! Will you be spending the weekend packing?

How was your DH birthday? What did you end up getting him?

Nothing says AF like a blood-covered vagina. I started yesterday evening. But I knew it was coming because there was blood when I wiped in the morning. I was kind of depressed yesterday. I just didn't have the headspace to message you back. I'm just a little bit tired now. I feel stuck. DH's weight won't change over night and nor will his sperm count. I just don't think it'll happen naturally. And now with the house and all the work we need to do to it, I can't see us having money for fertility treatment any time soon. I might as well cut out my uterus and throw it in the river. It'll probably have a better chance in there than in me. Six cycles and not even a hint of a line. At least a chemical pregnancy would show sperm is meeting egg. But who knows what the fuck is happening in there. I can't imagine the next six months being any different either. I didn't even bother taking a HPT this cycle. Not even an IC because what's the fucking point?? It only gets harder the longer we try and now we have a house, the questions will start about kids and I have no idea how I'm going to face them when they come. How am I meant to say we're practically infertile? Sitting in this fucking house with rooms that'll never get filled. DH and I prattling around like two fucking pensioners with only rabbits to call our babies. Fuck this! Fuck it all. I'm fucking tired. Fuck DH. Fuck his fucking sperm. Fuck my fucking ovaries. Fuck everything!

Hi @unCliche I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if I’m off the mark but I tried for 12 cycles before I got pregnant and I remember feeling exactly the same, this will never happen etc. I just wanted to wish you good luck as I remember so clearly feeling the way you are now x

ButterscotchBabe · 07/03/2021 12:27

Oh babe I'm sorry ☹️, I wish I could give you a big hug. I've got spotting today and cramps so af will probably start later today.

You've got the progesterone now to try this cycle and if that doesn't work, why don't you approach your GP, tell them you've been trying for a year and let them do some investigations or refer you to a fertility consultant. That way if you go through the NHS, you can keep progressing without having to pay.

I completely understand how difficult it is, this is my 8th cycle but I've had many years with previous long term partners and never got pregnant. All I can do is keep positive and think of practical solutions. Try and do the same otherwise you'll drive yourself mad or become very depressed.

Worse case scenario you'll need IVF but know that the option is there and you'll be entitled to NHS funding. How many rounds you get will depend on your local NHS trust, some offer 3, some only offer 1. It most likely won't come to that but if you accept that IVF is an option, at least you'll know whatever happens, you will end up with a baby.

Have a pyjama day, get DH to give you a massage, watch some movies, have a drink and order a takeaway. This pain will pass, it's worse when af first arrives. You're strong I know you'll get through this, one day when you've got your child/children you'll be able to tell them how much they were wanted!

@Cinderellashoes thank you for your kind words to uncliche 😊, it does feel very unfair that for a minority of us it doesn't happen easily ☹️.

unCliche · 07/03/2021 19:12

@Cinderellashoes Thanks so much lovely. Just had a moment of weakness where I felt so hopeless and helpless. DH and I have started moving things into the new house and that has mostly kept me occupied so I'm pretty much over it and feeling better now! Thanks again for the encouragement. I'm glad you got your little one in the end, I'm sure they're very special 💕

@ButterscotchBabe Sending far away hugs 🤗 Haha I'm over it now. I'm thinking fried ovaries for dinner as I'm pretty close to ripping them out. Or maybe I should go for DH's balls first? 😂😂 My only saving grace is I've had no cramps! Woooot!! 🎉 Today has been busy, I've been so preoccupied! Now to go back and respond to your previous message!

Sorry to hear AF is on her way! Did she eventually start? Did your temps come down? Like usual, I hope it's not AF and it's implantation bleeding and cramps! I think some good news will definitely make up for my shitting morning. One of us needs to have some good luck!!!

We got some professional cleaners into the new house yesterday. I'm finally starting to feel comfortable in the house and I'm actually really looking forward to fully moving in. We have a plasterer coming tomorrow to sort out the walls and ceilings of a few rooms. Lots to do! 🤪

My white rabbit is so troublesome! He keeps dropping poop pellets everywhere (on purpose I'm sure). My grey one is still really ill. When we checked him today, it was even worse. There was more poop all over him and he stunk 😞 But luckily his medication arrived today so I hope that sorts things out, if not, off to the vets we go! I never knew you had a rabbit! My boys used to hump each other, it's a sign of dominance so when they came of age and the hormones started turning them crazy, there were lots of fights to become top rabbit. The grey one won because he's stronger but after they were snipped, he conceded leadership to the white one, who's now the boss. Getting them neutered pretty much fixed all that toxic masculinity and there was no more humping 😂

You're definitely a more positive person than me. I just always feel so down, but you're so optimistic. I wish I could be like you but it just hits me so hard - I'm not sure why 😢 I really hope your peritonitis hasn't caused any problems and whatever the issue is gets easily fixed. I really, really want good things for you! Being on your 8th cycle must suck 😞 My mental health would be in tatters. But you're right. There's always options. I'll speak with my GP and get the ball rolling. Let's see if anything will come of it 🙂🙂

We've had loads of sun here too. It's been cold, but sunny. I love it. The house looks really bright when the sun is shining. A little sunshine always makes me happy! Have you been out in the sun this weekend? Maybe gone for a little walk? Or have you been teasing your DP with more silliness? 😆😆 It's been a few days since I've bullied DH. I might try to get him really annoyed tonight for no reason 😂😂

Yeaaaah! We drove past the new Banksy painting yesterday. So cool!! I wonder who he is! Do you have any ideas? Some people think he's the guy from Art Attack. Neil whats-his-face.

I can't wait for our meet up to happen! It's so cool our other halves are in similar fields so it'll be easier to find things to talk about! And if it's during summer, we'll have to find an activity to do too.

How's your jacket coming along? Today, we moved all the kitchen stuff from the old place to the new place and unpacked them into cupboards. Tomorrow we'll probably get our clothes. Then furniture will join us on Tuesday. I'll defo send you a video once we're properly moved in and settled.

DH's birthday was busy 😂 doing more house stuff. Poor guy. Last year his birthday was overshadowed by our wedding. This year, it's the house. I haven't bought his gift yet but he said I should keep the money for the house, but I think I'll still get him the massager. It means I can use mostly for myself 😂

Are you and your DP planning to do anything together this week while you're home or will you do the chores yourself now? 😂😂

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 07/03/2021 21:33

Fried testicals and ovaries, would you like that with a side of chips? 😂😂

My temp came down to 36.65 and I've had brown spotting but no proper af yet, which means if it arrives tomorrow I will have gained an extra day on my LP 😊.

That's cool you got professional cleaners in and a plasterer coming. Will the plastering be all done before the furniture arrives?

Lol the white rabbit is probably marking his territory in the new surroundings 😂. Oh no, was the grey one ill before you moved him? I'm just thinking the diarrhea might be due to him being scared from the move?

You are a positive person and you're stronger than you think. If you do get to the 8th cycle your mental health won't be in tatters, you'll be learning more about your cycle, either through the progesterone or further investigations. Definitely good to get the ball rolling with your GP 🙂.

Yes the sun definitely does lift your mood! I was out in the garden today on a yoga mat doing some squats and exercises with resistance bands. My legs felt like jelly afterwards and they still feel weak, I think I'm gonna be hurting for a few days! Still able to tease DP though and steal his phone 😂. Haha I often act quite childish and annoy DP 😂😂.

That's cool you got to see the painting in real life, I wonder if Banksy will ever do one near us 🤔. Ah DP mentioned the Art Attack guy, I have no idea lol.

Haha yeh it definitely helps our partners have roles in similar fields, I guarantee they're not gonna be talking about TTC! Also if it's in the summer we can wear a dress we've made!

Jacket is coming along slowly, I'm finding it difficult making something that someone else wants me to make. So far when making clothes I've been quite excited and it's helped me make things quite quickly. However I don't have the interest with the jacket, I think because it's quite difficult to make, that it takes the fun out of it. Will you start sewing again once your all set up in your new home?

Hahaha! Good idea to get the massager 😉. Are you doing anything to celebrate your anniversary?

Haven't really got any plans for the week ahead, I'm sure it will involve some chores and more nagging of DP 😂.

Made some lovely peanut butter brownies this evening 😋. What's your favourite thing to bake?

unCliche · 08/03/2021 13:41

Haha yes please! 🍟😍

Yay that's good news! So that'll be a 10 day LP? So awesome! I think mine was 10 days this cycle too. How are your temps today?

Yeah, the plasterers came today and filled in the holes and cracks and removed some of the built in furniture. The room looks more spacious. It just needs painting now.

DH and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the house this morning and poop wasn't dropped all over the place. He's finally learning the right place to do his business. Although I'm still sweeping up stray poop. Yeaaah! Grey rabbit has been ill for a while. A few months back, we started seeing diarrhoea but we didn't know which rabbit it was coming from. We took them both to the vets and the vets said they were both fine, but clearly not. Anyway he's much better now. I think the medication is working. They're both asleep next to me. White rabbit is snoring. It's so cute 😂

I don't feel very strong, but thank you 💕 It's just always the day before and the day of AF that I get really upset. After that, I think I'll be fine! Do you ever get upset?

Hahaha!! I love a leg workout. I bet you can't walk today 😂

Considering Banksy is from Bristol and Reading isn't anywhere near Bristol, there's a good chance he'll do one in your area. I wonder what he'd do in Devon. Are there any famous places he'd likely graffiti on?

Yeah, making something you don't want is hard. Having no motivation to get it done. But I think you should keep at it. You'll learn a lot in the process! I might start sewing again. I'll have to decide where to set up my sewing table. Not sure which room will be best for that. You're currently sewing in your kitchen right?

DH and I actually haven't discussed what we'll do on our anniversary. We probably won't be able to go to a restaurant but maybe a nice home cooked meal and lots of romance. Perhaps we'll watch our wedding video too.

Oh yum! I'm not the biggest fan of peanut butter snacks but I really like a making cakes. Just plain and simple cakes, nothing fancy. Well, I've never attempted anything fancy 😅 Will you be baking for the whole week? Make sure you don't negate the calories burned from all that squatting! 😂😂

Af arrived yesterday and has been heavier and more painful than the last few cycles, I think because my luteal phase was longer my endometrial lining was thicker this cycle, which is a good sign. Temp has come right down to 36.37 this morning.

I'm gonna get my first bloods done tomorrow, the FSH and LH as they need to be done between CD1-CD5. I won't find out the results for a while though as I'll have to wait until the next appointment with the consultant.

Will you be doing the painting yourself or getting a professional in? It will be difficult to paint once the furniture is in?

Aww I hope the medication cures the upset tummy for the grey bunny! They must feel quite comfortable to sleep next to you 😊.

I don't really get upset about af arriving, I kinda expect it, it's still gutting though. I know I've got 10 years of fertility left and I'm seeking help so things are moving forward. If I get to 35 and we still haven't conceived, then I'll be worried!

Omg my quads are so painful, I was limping around yesterday, definitely lost a lot of muscle this past year! I need to engage the glutes and hamstrings more, it's annoying because the quads often take over. Do you find that when doing leg exercises?

Hmmm I can't think of any famous places he might graffiti on, I'm sure there are, I just can't think of any 😂.

Yeh I've taken over the kitchen table with my sewing 😂 luckily we eat on the sofa in the living room, so it hasn't made too much difference. Does your new place have 3 bedrooms? If so, you could use one of them until babies arrive!

I'm definitely not doing anymore baking this week, I ate 3 brownies yesterday 🤦 so basically my workout was for nothing 😂😭.

Move in day!! Woohoo! Let me know how it goes, I'm excited for you 😊🎉. Have you got anything planned for the rest of the week or just mainly unpacking and setting up?
