@jessi60 honestly don't feel too down. I'm on CD19 and every OPK has been a flat 0. Not even a hint of anything. I do have flashing smileys on the CB digital so we're DTD every other day and hoping some kind of LH surge appears at some point. It can literally come out of nowhere, a rapid surge, not everywhere gets a gradual onset.

@PowerOfFlowers the looks we get off our pups if we leave them downstairs to DTD... 🙈 I'm the same I can't look at them after 😂

The talk of pets is making me laugh 😂 we have two cats and one is slightly more inquisitive than the other and we were DTD a few months ago and we’re interrupted by the male cat having a quick sniff of my OHs bits from behind him 🤣 safe to say it killed the mood lol!

@DrS44 that’s helpful to see thank you! I found another random OPK this afternoon and took it and read the results within 5mins and it came back with a faint line! I know it’s not positive but I’ve done them in the past and had nothing show up at all so to see something is quite exciting. God help me when I do get a positive PG test you’ll hear me screaming with joy from Darlington 😂

Also had a bit more egg white/jelly like CM today which is a positive too!

@Dex1521 yay that's good! The other thing with the tests is you have to take it after not drinking anything and ideally after holding it for 2/3 hours! That's when you'll get a clearer line so you can miss your peak! That picture didn't show but I had loads of plain white OPKs and ones with tiny faint lines! So I feel ya 👏🏻 honestly when I got the peak I acted like it was a positive pregnancy test 🤣 totally understandable! Xx

@jessi60 don’t feel disheartened! I did 2 LH tests today, mid-morning and just now. Both came back low at like 0.19! 😂 but my CB test came back with flashing smiley this morning which means my oestrogen level has risen, so LH surge should hopefully follow (all going well) in next few days! 🤞🏼 I’m CD11 so you could be the same as me! 😊

That’s good to know! @DrS44 I didn’t know if would go up and down slightly until peak. I’ll make sure to not drink anything for 2/3hrs before testing too. Should be easy enough as I’m in the house all day working from home 😂

I’ve heard some people test twice a day morning and afternoon should I do this or is once in the afternoon enough?

@Dex1521 I only did it when I started to see more of an increase so yeah it's worth doing then 🥰

@positivitytree2020 and @CardioQueen hang on, did you say you got nothing on OPKs but then took the CB tests and got flashing smileys?? This is making me think I should get the CB ones now too.. I thought most people on here said they weren't worth the expense as they arent as sensitive as the cheapy strips 🤔

@Emmgrem stick with the cheapies. I have both but only because I bought the CB digitals again before I joined this forum.

In my Great Cycle of 57 Days I started getting flashing smileys from CD18 - a day or two before when it told me to start testing for a 37-day cycle (I was expecting a 37-day cycle, just to clarify). I ran out of sticks as only had 10-pack that time, then I royally f*cked it up and used the new monitor from the new pack so it had no baseline to compare to. I ended up with no static smiley and in fairness would have used up another 20 if I'd kept going til CD47 which is when I apparently did ovulate.

For anyone with a fairly normal cycle they are probably fab, but you're going to still get the super important part - the LH surge - from the cheapies. Keep DTD every other day from now and you'll cover your bases ☺️ and if you have money you don't know what to do with, buy the CB digital ones too 😂

@CardioQueen ahh thank you!! I'm terrible already! Did a £50 amazon shop last night consisting of more OPKs, some coq10 and DHA, some wellman and a few other bits 😂 Thinking about FRERs and pre seed next 🙈 You can spend so much money before the baby is even in your womb 😂 it's crazy!

@Emmgrem yes that’s right! 😂 I got a flashing smiley on the CB advanced digital test this morning, but cheapie OPK came back with nothing today!
The CB advanced digital one tests for 2 hormones, oestrogen and LH. From what I’ve read, oestrogen rises in the earlier part of cycle which will then trigger LH surge!
You get flashing smiley on it when it detects a spike in oestrogen levels and that means your in “high fertility”, and then you have to keep testing to identify your “peak fertility” when your LH surges, which is what the cheapie OPKs are looking for! 😊 when this happens you get a static smiley face rather than flashing!
So I guess the only benefit of CB tests is that you get some advance warning that LH surge might be coming in the next few days!

I wouldn’t be doing them every cycle they are way too expensive! I had bought them prior to ttc before I realised you get huge batch of cheapies for half the price! 😂
It’ll be interesting to compare the CB one though to the cheapies to see whether they both identify the same “peak fertility”!

@emmgrem definitely do what works for you, but I really dont think you need them! As long as you keep testing you won't miss the LH surge! I didnt bother with them and fell first cycle trying! I would say try with just the OPKs for now and see how you go.
And taking about expensive, HCG progression monitoring is also so expensive! I will by then end have used 6 FRERs, 2 CB digitals and 20 HCG strips jsut to making sure I'm staying pregnant 🙄

@positivitytree2020 Yeah I guess so. I’m CD 12 and still reading low. Although now that I’m thinking about it 15 days after my withdrawal bleed last month I went to the toilet and had jelly clear discharge but just a one off amount that I noticed. Which I’ve never had in my life before. Maybe that’s ewcm that people talk about it 🤣 so maybe I might see something at the weekend cause that’s the same amount of days in between but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m on two 13 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday so would probably be my luck haha Xx

@jessi60 talking about EWCM I’ve never had it (been on pill since 15 and no periods I’m now 23) been off the pill 3 weeks today and yesterday and today I’ve had clear jelly/EWCM and I got faint lines on some cheap OPKs I found which I know are still negatives but the excited I filled with was unreal seeing two lines 🤣 but in the past I’ve never had anything show up on OPKs for the short while I used them last year so I feel that the EWCM has something to do with that

@jessi60 I was the same last cycle noticed ewcm on CD13ish, and then didn’t see it again after that! 😂 Keep an eye out the next few days and keep going with the OPKs! 😊 that’s all we can do haha!

@Dex1521 Yeah I’m the same except I’m 27. And I’ve never seen it before in my life. But I’ve been on some form of hormonal contraception for 11 years aswell. Seen it once last one month and that was it. Thought something was wrong with me to be honest haha 🤣

@positivitytree2020 Yeah that’s all I can do. Drained off this and my house buying carry on, just want some good news. Even a darker line will do 😂 X

@jessi60 I remember when I’d just hit puberty seeing some in my knickers and googling “lady front bum jelly” and not knowing what it was I was so scared and couldn’t bring myself to tell my mum 😂 definitely should’ve paid more attention in science haha. It’s definitely a shock when first experienced lol

Morning ladies! Made it to 5 weeks and got another progression on an IC ❤ 23DPO and bean is going strong 🤞🤞🤞

@AMS19 that's a really great progression, amazing! 👏🏼👏🏼 how often do you have to do the ICs? Until you go for an early scan?

@AMS19 that progression looks fantastic! I'm also super impressed with your every 2 day testing, I imagine it's rather tempting to POAS a few times a day haha or it would be for me at least 😂

Thanks @cardioqueen I think I'll just do them until 6 weeks as I reckon they will probably then get as dark as they are going to. If you do them too long you risk the "hook effect" where they can go backwards which would freak me the hell out! Im going to do my other CB digital at the weekend and hopefully will get my 3+!

@AMS19 are so happy for you! Also what are ICs? Once you get your BFP do you keep doing those until a certain week? I never knew that I just thought I phoned the doctors after getting a BFP. There is so much to know about TTC it’s like studying for a test 😂

@Bells20 such will power 😂 I think because I know it only double every 2 days then it would be so deflating if you did it everyday as it wouldn't progress half the time!
