@notalwaysalondoner congratulations. Everything crossed for you x

Furbsies · 20/11/2020 10:13

@msg92 how are you doing now?
I'm just finished with AF so have a scan particularly to check for the polyp they saw 6 months ago.. They kept giving me appointments at the wrong time and couldn't fully visualise it. So hoping that is gone even if the cyst is still there for now.

But new cycle. New effort. How are you doing.
@notalwaysalondoner congrats. That is exciting news!!!

MSG92 · 20/11/2020 10:33

Hey @Furbsies stomach is a little better now, still odd but better. Just trying to organise funeral, death certificates, wills etc it's endless! That's good news, hopefully the timing is right, what happens after that?

Furbsies · 20/11/2020 11:49

@msg92 I am so sorry. This is all so difficult, I really hope you and your family are taking care of yourselves.

This time if they find a polyp they can measure it with confidence and actually decide what to do. Past 4 scans have been "yes there's a polyp. It's likely to be a polyp, it looks like not that big but we can't be sure until you have the scan on day 7 to 10. And then promptly sending me another scan to confirm also at the wrong time in my cycle... I would call them up and they'd say there's nothing in your notes to say day 7 to 10, so just come in. This time I refused to go in and said I won't be wasting NHS money anymore. I need to be brought in at the correct time. They are checking for the polyp and cyst. If either has gone down in size they won't do anything, if they're bigger then I think they said they'll remove the polyp. Unsure about the cyst though..

Apparently polyps haven't been directly linked with fertility or MCs but for women going for IVF some studies have shown polyp removal results in better outcomes..

Hi ladies
Anyone had negative opk but a temp dip? Mine temps have been 36.1 - 36.2 but this am 35.8. I am definately due to ovulate in next few days. Im on a bit of a downer today because someone else at work is pregnant- i now work with 3 pregnant women and its sooooo tough 😔 xxx

susiebluebell · 20/11/2020 13:13

Oh wonderful @notalwaysalondoner! Congratulations - but yes, not getting carried away yet! Everything crossed for you! Xx

Furbsies · 20/11/2020 16:33

Hey ladies. Just an update from my scan. Got told polyp seems to not be there but both ovaries looked like they were polycystic. That's not the thing that worries me. I knew that. But they said there is no dominant follicle.. Does anyone know what this means

Bellabubble · 20/11/2020 16:42

@notalwaysalondoner congratulations! I know how you feel, I have a D&C on Monday for my 2nd mc this year - so I feel your anxiety! I have everything crossed for you!

Currently waiting out the weekend panicking about going under on Monday! If anyone had a D&C - how did you find the recovery afterwards? My first mmc ended up happening naturally and whilst I had a few cramps, it was very manageable and bleeding was about 4days. This mc is an anembryonic pregnancy (used to be called blighted ovum) but even that stopped progressing at 6 weeks. I’m hoping it is just bad luck and not a chromosome abnormality my oh or I keep passing on (we wouldn’t be tested for that until 3 in a row!)

MSG92 · 20/11/2020 17:19

Hi @Furbsies I remember reading about someone that was having this checked on another site, I'll attach a photo. But I think it is to do with ovulation, a follicle holds the egg and then releases an egg at ovulation, if there are no dominant follicles, then an egg won't be released. There are some medical professionals on here so they can confirm/correct or explain it better. What did they say after the scan?

@Bellabubble I had a d&c although it was a week after medical management for retained products so slightly different circumstances . I was very nervous but need not have been they took
Great care of me and all went very well was over in no time and I felt that I recovered very quickly . I was back on my feet and up and about around an hour after leaving recovery had something to Eat and was then allowed to head home around an hour after that . Was a little Groggy and mildly u comfortable for the rest of the day but nothing that painkillers didn’t keep on top of and my bleeding was only very light for a few days . I hope your experience is as positive as possible and wish you a speedy recovery x

Pugprincess · 20/11/2020 18:27

Congratulations @notalwaysalondoner 💖

All the best for Monday @Bellabubble xxx

notalwaysalondoner · 20/11/2020 19:35

@Bellabubble I had one for my first miscarriage - they call it manual vacuum aspiration now though, it's a slightly different process. Mine was also anembryonic, had the surgery around 10 weeks. Are you having local or general anaesthetic? When I had it, it was peak Covid so they weren't doing any unnecessary general anaesthetics so I had to have local, which to be honest, was pretty uncomfortable. On the plus side, the procedure itself only took 5 minutes tops and the nurses were amazing, and while it was painful, it was definitely a manageable amount.

HappyVibes · 20/11/2020 21:50

Hi ladies,

I am currently in my FW, likely to ovulate Sunday I think. I’ve just had some pink CM and wondered if anyone has any sight into this at all? I’m wondering if it’s perhaps just residue from my chemical a couple of weeks ago?

Thank you in advance xxx

susiebluebell · 21/11/2020 07:32

Morning ladies. I've been hit with a feeling of dread that af is due tomorrow. I so desperately want to be pregnant and if I'm again not then I think I will be devastated 😔

@HappyVibes Good to see you. I've not experienced pink cm in FW but perhaps others have? I'm so happy for you that you're in FW again! ☺

Ra1nb0w85 · 21/11/2020 08:46

@susiebluebell I totally feel your pain. Convinced that this month would be 'the one' but with Af due Monday and BFN and cramps I know it's not our time :( Sending you positive thoughts from a fellow ttc'er who's currently eating her way through a pack of custard creams to make me feel better!! X

Furbsies · 21/11/2020 09:43

@msg92 thank you for that. Hopefully my cycle is long and that's why there wasn't a dominant one but knowing my body it's probably another thing going wrong

MSG92 · 21/11/2020 09:49

Hi @susiebluebell fingers crossed she doesn't arrive, try and relax as much as you can.

@Furbsies I could be wrong so don't quote on it, and yes if it was done at the wrong time then they might not see a dominant one. Do you track bbt as well? I never did but apparently that's the only way to tell if you have ovulated.

I am very skeptical about my pregnancy so far, so my stomach pains have been present since Wednesday night then last night they have moved to my lower back, there all night and this morning still. Waiting for my covid test results back as well but I feel SHOCKING, like I have flu

susiebluebell · 21/11/2020 10:06

@Ra1nb0w85 It means so much to know there are others who feel the same! I was munching on pringles and chocolate yesterday and then thinking 'Oh no, this means af is definitely coming' and it just hit me..

Thank you as well @MSG92 I'm doing my best but today it just feels so gloomy! Hope you are getting on better now xx

SS123456 · 21/11/2020 10:41

@susiebluebell I feel the same this month. I mc'd at 5 weeks last month (first time I've fallen pregnant in 15 months of trying). I ovulated 2-3 weeks later and af has just arrived. I was pinning my hopes on falling again straight away to 'heal' the pain of the loss 😔. I'm now feeling sorry for myself on the sofa with stomach cramps and a headache counting down the hours until OHs kids stop running riot around my house and go home 😩

RichmondLady1981 · 21/11/2020 15:53

@susiebluebell

Totally feeling you. Thought i was preggers this month as I had two insular symptoms (burning nipples and rising BBT after 10 DPO). The like clockwork AF came on Monday. Yesterday my NCT buddy sent me a message to say she was pregnant. Been a tough week.

I have everything crossed for you. Sending you heaps of baby dust 💕

Furbsies · 21/11/2020 16:37

@msg92 have you called up your gp to see if you can get a blood test? Is it just pain or bleeding accompanied?

I do track bbt but with pcos it's very very hard... Its a zigzag.. I do believe I had a drop in my bbt just before my opk peak. But I will continue doing that if that seems more reliable.

Personally I'd hoped it was a polyp because I'd have an answer. Instead it's just more questions in left with.

nchristie · 21/11/2020 17:38

Hi everyone, I had mmc and erpc in August at 16 wks. Waiting for period and then will ttc in next cycle.

MSG92 · 21/11/2020 18:12

Hey @Furbsies no, I can't go out the house until Thursday anyway due to isolation. I'm feeling more nauseas today so I guess that's good, took some paracetamol and my back is OK now, I might have to take some more before bed to make sure I sleep.

I guess you need to discuss your results with your gp, and then maybe a referral to fertility specialist?

Welcome @nchristie, sorry you are joining.

susiebluebell · 21/11/2020 20:30

@SS123456 and @RichmondLady1981 Thank you both for your kind words. And I'm sorry you're both having a tough time. Sending hugs!

And hoping af doesn't come...
