@Hanbanxx with my first MC, I ovulated on CD15 (counting day one as first day of MC)

@flyinghigh101 I've been pregnant 3 times, first time a successful pregnancy and I can't say the other 2 times when I MC were any different to the first 😊

RichmondLady1981 · 13/12/2020 22:20

@Hanbanxx. I didn’t check for ovulation in first cycle as wanted a break. But second cycle I ovulated on day 19. Confirmed by bbt temp rise.

@flyinghigh101 this is such a great question. I’ve been pregnant twice (one gorgeous little boy who is now 19 months and one mmc) and each time I feel a pulling/sharp pain in my side that always presumed is implantation. The problem is I’ve felt it in a couple of cycles and it made me think I was pregnant and ended in disappointment. When you want something so much I feel your mind can play tricks. I think it’s a good idea to note your feelings and any symptoms you notice every TWW so then you can discount them the next time. I’ve learnt my lesson and have stopped symptom spotting as a means to stop putting pressure on myself and my body. I’m just waiting for AF to show and/or for my BBT to drop and then we can try again next month. I figure that those two scientific factors are the ones you can count on to give you the indicators as to whether you’re truly pregnant- other than a pregnancy test but we take them and then question them don’t we! 😂 Every woman differs so much so it’s so difficult to compare each other’s symptoms.

Lots of baby dust to you. When is AF due?

Wishingfornumber2 · 13/12/2020 23:12

@susiebluebell long cycles are sooo annoying aren’t they! Sorry I can’t remember, have you had AF yet? I stupidly keep reading stories of women who don’t get a positive test until they are about 7weeks or so. Have had few more cramps tonight though like AF is coming.

Runnergirl1 · 14/12/2020 08:28

@RichmondLady1981 any news?? X

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 11:05

Hoping I can join in here too 😊 I’ve been looking for a nice, active group of people in the same boat as myself and this looks like a good one!
I had a MMC at 8 weeks, and had surgical management a week ago tomorrow. I’ve had on/off bleeding since then, which I know is going to probably last another while, but I wish it would stop as I hate the constant reminder it gives everytime I go to the bathroom. I’m glad to see someone on here mention pain in their bum area afterwards as I’ve had it a few times, including once that woke me up last night and it’s been worrying me as it’s the only pain I’m currently feeling! Mentally, today is the first day I feel like my mind is a bit clearer and I don’t feel just as sad as I have. Hoping this means that my hormones are starting to settle a bit. I’m going to do a PT tomorrow morning to see what it says, but have prepared myself that it will likely be positive since it’s only been a week.
Looking forward to DTD again, we never did the whole time I was pregnant as I was too scared 🙈 so it’s been almost 2.5 months... my poor husband 😂

susiebluebell · 14/12/2020 11:12

@Wishingfornumber2 Yes I did get AF, at 48 days and without ever getting a bfp. Really weird but apparently others have had random long cycles too. I'm on cd9 now x

@PumpkinEverything Hi! I love your screen name. Really sorry to read what you've been through but hopefully all good from now on. Will be nice to dtd again! X

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 11:16

Thank you @susiebluebell pumpkins are my favourite 😊 I was a bit sad putting them away to swap over to Christmas decor.

Quick question for everyone, do I count the day of surgery as CD1? I had irregular cycles before so feel like I want to at least be able to track what’s happening with my body, even if we don’t get pregnant.

RichmondLady1981 · 14/12/2020 11:24

Hi ladies. And 13dpo, period a day late and just did a test.. huge BFN. Actually could cry.

So grateful to have my son. Will keep trying though.

Best of luck to all the ladies who are testing soon!

Ladies who are recovering from Mc, hope you’re have a speedy recovery and that you get back into your cycles soon x

Mumsdaily · 14/12/2020 11:43

Hi, I was directed to this page by someone 😊

I had an MC in Nov and hubby and I decided to start trying straight away.

I haven't had a period since my MC, but tracked ovulation.

I'm about 8/9dpo right now (I think, my peak was 5th so based on ovulation 24/36 hours later)

I was sick at the weekend and I've had quite a bit of period pain. I was convinced I would get AF yesterday or even today.

I did an FRER yesterday and stark white BFN.

I did one today and I can see a tiny faint line. Someone mentioned indent line to me (I didn't know this was possible
With FRER ☹️) but hopeful it could be the start of something.

I'll test again tomorrow and see if there's any change.

If I am PG it means that I wouldn't have had a period since my last pregnancy. Doc prob won't be so pleased!

Hi @PumpkinEverything! Welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss. I also found the bleeding really difficult, and now I'm 3 weeks out from surgery and the bleeding has finally stopped (I think I bled for longer than usual though) I I feel like my mental state has really improved too.

Really sorry for your bfn @RichmondLady1981, and best of luck for next time. I definitely agree about symptom tracking being helpful for alleviating symptom spotting, it took me over a year to conceive my first pregnancy and it turned out I had strange symptoms and nausea every month (just conveniently forgot each time). Although I will say both times I've been actually pregnant it's been clear before I took the test, because I started getting terrible travel sickness.

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 12:02

I really didn’t think I’d find it such an issue @vitaminb33 but it’s actually so annoying! Even though it’s barely anything, it’s still there. I think because I was constantly checking everytime I used the bathroom whilst pregnant to see if there was anything, it feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve used the bathroom without inspecting 🤦‍♀️

@Mumsdaily can I ask when you started tracking from? I did OPKS beforehand previously but haven’t been sure when to start them again.

Garman · 14/12/2020 12:04

@Mumsdaily it doesn't really matter if you conceive straight away, doctors won't really care longterm, it's just a dating issue for them but sure you'd know a rough window based on MC and a scan would confirm within weeks anyway.

I tried ovulation and pg tests again, faint lines on both again. Clear as mud so 😂

Mumsdaily · 14/12/2020 13:28

@PumpkinEverything

Firstly I kept doing pg tests, you won't ov until you get a neg (I'm pretty sure that's the case anyway!) then I actually felt twinges on my ovaries. So started the OPK's. Got a surge about three weeks after my MC.

elsimo · 14/12/2020 14:06

I got my surge just over 2 weeks after my surgical managment. Now in the dreaded tww but who knows how long it will be until my periods shows up xx

Hopefulmummie · 14/12/2020 14:15

@PumpkinEverything hi I'm sorry for you loss. Your experience sounds similar to mine. I stopped bleeding a few days ago and me and my husband dtd for the 1st time since before I was pregnant too.. around 2 and half months aswell lol

I'm still getting the slightest faint line on pregnancy test. I'm around 12 dpo based on bleeding on day 1 and I normally ovulate around day 14 so not sure if I will if still getting faint line. I'm going to take a clear blue digital tomorrow and see what that says.
I got positive lines on ovulation tests yesterday but that could be due to pregnancy hormones. It's all so confusing

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 14:20

Thanks for sharing @Hopefulmummie I felt so bad, but I was so worried something would happen if we DTD, I think I always had a weird feeling something was going to go wrong so didn’t want to do anything that I felt would be the reason, even though I know that’s not one of them 🤦‍♀️

Did you count the day of your surgery as day one of your cycle?

Hopefulmummie · 14/12/2020 14:25

@PumpkinEverything I know I felt guilty too but didn't want to chance anything even though it's completely safe

Sorry I should've said I didn't have surgery just miscarried naturally so the day of miscarriage I counted as day 1.
Do you normally have regular cycles?
I wish I would just ovulate as normal this week so I know things are back on track

Mumsdaily · 14/12/2020 14:47

@Hopefulmummie so day 1 of your cycle is the first day of MC? I've been trying to work out when my period is due. I guessed I'd just work out my leutal phase?

I'm going to test again tomorrow too. I've never had an evap or anything with an FRER. So keen to see if I've caught early signs of HCG or not!

susiebluebell · 14/12/2020 15:30

Yes that's right I believe @Mumsdaily with a miscarriage, the first day of full-flow bleeding or the day of surgery is cd1. Welcome btw! X

bez91 · 14/12/2020 15:30

Hey @PumpkinEverything good to see you here 👋 I was counting surgery as day 1 of my cycle, whether that's right or wrong who knows but I'm going with it. So being 13 days post surgical management I'm counting this as CD13. I've felt loads of twinges today so I might be ovulating but I haven't had a negative test yet 🤦🏼‍♀️

susiebluebell · 14/12/2020 15:31

@RichmondLady1981 I'm so sorry about af, my heart goes out to you. I know that feeling so well xx

@Hopefulmummie It's rubbish to say but all you can do is keep waiting and see what happens with the tests xxx

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 15:34

Good to see you @bez91 😊 I’ve been struggling to figure that out so we’ll go with last Tuesday as CD1 then. I really don’t feel pregnant whatsoever so I’m so hoping my test is negative tomorrow 😩 how often are you checking?

Hopefulmummie · 14/12/2020 15:40

@mumsdaily yeah cd1 as day of miscarriage. Not sure if that's right but I've seen a few websites say that's what it should be. So my period would be due in 2 weeks. Feels like I've only stopped bleeding yesterday and going to have my period in no time

bez91 · 14/12/2020 15:53

@Hopefulmummie thanks for clarifying I suspected this but good to hear re CD1 post MC
@PumpkinEverything I tested last week 7 days post procedure, will do again tomorrow (13 days) I'm not holding out much hope as last weeks was so strong but fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏼

PumpkinEverything · 14/12/2020 15:56

@bez91 it’s so ridiculous that we’re praying for a negative test instead of a positive for once 😂 and I’ll still be looking to know for sure if it’s not a strong line and a bit of a squinter
