Morning all. Sorry to see so many new ladies joining but you will get so much support from this great group.
Just got a bfn on a cb digital. I’m so confused as cd 46 and my longest ever cycle has been 41 days. I know a few other ladies have been in the same boat recently. It’s just so frustrating! I have had cramps on and off for the last few weeks. Oh well I guess I just got to wait for AF to show.
Has anyone got any stories of getting bfn’s for a while and then eventually a bfp really late? X

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 07:50

@Wishingfornumber2
Yes me, AF is 5 days late and just got my bfp today!! Had a V.faint line yesterday. I must have ovulated late in the end. I stopped doing the opks after 5 days of negatives. I fainted a week ago for 1st time in my life and have felt a bit light headed this week and boobs look bigger but nothing else. Cramps everyday for about 10 days but they eased off on Tues so thought AF was due x

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 08:16

AF 5 days late - must have ovulated later than expected , got my bfp today ( bottom test) at approx 14 dpo. Top test was a cheapy from yesterday. 🤞🏻 this is my rainbow 🌈🌈 xx

@MgW1 congratulations!!!! That’s amazing news! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. So up until yesterday you had been getting negatives?

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 08:40

@Wishingfornumber2
Yes top test yesterday , as you can see its barely visable. Have you tried the FRER tests ? X

HappyVibes · 10/12/2020 08:54

Aww @MgW1 this is lovely. Congratulations on your BFP. I hope you’re feeling magical feelings. Please can you remind us of your journey if you don’t mind, to give us all hope? I love this! Congratulations again 💓💫

Wishingfornumber2 · 10/12/2020 08:56

@MgW1 yes did a FRER on Sunday and Tuesday but was a bfn. I’m going to the shops tomorrow so might pick up some more tests to try over the weekend if still no AF.

bez91 · 10/12/2020 08:59

@MgW1 fantastic, congratulations 😊

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 09:34

Wonderful news @MgW1 💕

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 09:35

And thank you @Runnergirl1 and @RichmondLady1981 it does really reassure me that others have had random long cycles for no apparent reason. Still feeling a bit deflated but sooo ready for next ovulation!

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 09:40

Thank you 🥰
Last got pregnant in May and had a mc at 14 weeks in Aug. I have had 3 months following this of literally no ewcm so was worried it was hornonal , it possibly was due to that and stress post miscarriage. Anyway tried evening primrose oil this month for first 2 weeks. Unfortunately I didnt get a positive opk , stopped testing after 5 days! Rang doc and asked if i could be referred for a scan because I was convinced there maybe a prob but she said if your having regular periods ( i was ) then unlikely and just said to keep trying. So we dtd every other day for another week. My Af was due last saturday. It never showed up! So I started googling and read that although the evening primrose can be helpful it can delay ovulation. Neg test on monday , possibly faint evap line - my husband said my eyes are playing tricks! Tested yesterday and had a faint line and bought a FRER to try this morning because I wanted to know if I was out this month (got some bottles of prosecco from the in laws that i would have made a start on this weekend if test was neg! ) and there it was ! So i think ( based on possible ovulation pain ) im around 13 / 14 dpo today. Also i had some acupuncture this month too xxx

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 09:42

@Wishingfornumber2
You can get FRER from amazon , nearly got another box but decided not to. They are ( or were last night) £5.09 for 2 tests and next day delivery x

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 09:44

I've also decided that this month I'm going to focus on getting back into healthy habits, mainly for my mental health, because as a student I've now got four weeks at home and OH is only here part of the week.

I want to go into 2021 already feeling better. And maybe the healthy changes will be a benefit to future baby too 💕

I could definitely drink less coffee 😬 and get back into some kind of exercise every day. I eat pretty well; we do tend to have a lot of snacks when OH is here but I think that's fine in moderation. I realised I just want to feel more like myself again - not spending the whole month thinking about my cycle and what ifs. 🤞🏻 Xx

Wishingfornumber2 · 10/12/2020 09:54

@MgW1 thank you I will have a look. X

@susiebluebell that is a great attitude to have. I think I will try and follow as I do find the whole month(s) are taken up by me thinking about TTC. X

TheDaydreamBelievers · 10/12/2020 09:58

@susiebluebell this is the train of thought I'm on! Waiting for my PTs to go negative and period to come back after surgery, but may as well focus on health instead of all that in the meantime!

elsimo · 10/12/2020 10:10

I am trying to be more healthy 2. I have kinda gone off booze and try to limit coffee but with a non sleeping DD, thats not so easy.
I put on about half a stone when I was pregnant but getting there with loosing that xx

J785948 · 10/12/2020 10:57

@MgW1 Congratulations on your bfp!! It's great to see some happy news! I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

@RichmondLady1981 @HappyVibes @Wishingfornumber2 Best of luck to you all of you test over the weekend.

Is anyone else testing soon?? I am currently 6/7 DPO according to OPK and BBT.

@elsimo @TheDaydreamBelievers @susiebluebell

I am on the same mentality on the whole being healthy, I find it's the one thing you can control. Have switched to decaf and no drinking alcohol during the TWW. Excercise is hard when it's so cold and I am largely wfh too.

I have been healthy eating for 3 weeks now, pretty much from the 1st day of my miscarriage. I do find it really helps your mental state and feel good about yourself again. I am not sure about others, but I have been a victim of putting weight on after my first miscarriage and with lockdown too, I am a lot heavier than when we got married this time last year!

HappyVibes · 10/12/2020 11:03

Ahhh AF has just arrived here. A real shitter as always but I did have a feeling that this wasn’t our month. We have lots of plans for the rest of the month before next TWW so I will try and make the most of it.

Good luck to everyone testing soon 💓💫

Garman · 10/12/2020 11:32

I've been eating so much chocolate and not a lot of meals since my miscarriage last week, couple with the few pounds I'd put on in first trimester I'm definitely up weight but am going easy on myself about it. I've gone back to weight training this week which I hadn't been doing since I was 6 weeks pregnant because we were in lockdown and was supposed to start back last week but I was miscarrying obviously. Have made it to the gym twice this week and it feels great. Pretty much off alcohol but that's normal for me, won't deny myself a glass of mulled wine in the next few weeks!

bez91 · 10/12/2020 11:44

@Garman similar to you but we should be easy on ourselves! My eating habits aren't great atm but I'm 1 week post surgical miscarriage management for a MM so trying not to feel guilty and making up a little bit by doing a few workouts and walks 😊

Runnergirl1 · 10/12/2020 12:09

@MgW1 congratulations x

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 12:29

@Runnergirl1
Thank you 😊 x

Hanbanxx · 10/12/2020 12:56

@MgW1 congratulations, so happy for you!!!

MgW1 · 10/12/2020 13:14

@Hanbanxx
Thank you xx

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 13:41

@J785948 I feel you on the cold - I love dog walking and sea swimming in warmer weather! Have you tried doing short workouts at home following a YouTube video? There are thousands of fun ones out there. That's what I do when I don't want to go outside 😄
