@bez91 Hey there, that was 10 days post procedure. I was like u bleeding etc stopped quickly.
Yeah ur right its an absolute guessing game! The midwife told me that waiting for one period makes it easier to date but I can try as soon as I get a negative test.
I have difficulty conceiving so I am hoping the fact I might be more fertile will help, plus I just feel better if i'm trying.
I'm gunna put trust in my body if its ready to conceive it will.
In all honestly I think there is so many possible factors that could cause miscarriage theres no solid evidence on what helps or doesn't xx

elsimo · 05/12/2020 09:24

Oh @bez91 when the midwife wad giving me all my options I asked her which one would mean I could try again as quickly as possible and she said natural, medical and surgical were all the same in terms of that! Xx

Bellabubble · 05/12/2020 10:32

@Simmy20 - you have a similar timeframe to me! I had a mmc end of feb (it started itself naturally, but I had a scan that showed I was only 5weeks when my dates put me at 8+2) and then on my 8th cycle in Sept we got a bfp, but that was an anembryonic pregnancy. I had surgical management 2 Monday’s ago. I’m in a weird state where I’m being positive and thinking, I’m sure it’s just really bad luck like the Dr’s say - but also so worried about a third bfp, but worried because there is even more fear now that it might happen again!

Simmy20 · 05/12/2020 10:41

@Bellabubble very similar times. I've spoken to my ob-gyn and he has given me the forms I need for blood tests for my dh and I to make sure everything is ok but he is confident they will be and it's just unfortunate luck. It's such a weird feeling wanting it so much but then also worried about getting the bfp and worrying about another mc

Bellabubble · 05/12/2020 11:00

@Simmy20 My Dr was really good and got me the fertility blood test (I was worried he’d say becuase we were pregnant once, and less than a year trying again that we’d have to wait) but I only got the first lot done before I fell pregnant the second time! The midwife at my scan said that low vitamin D and B12 have been linked to recurrent mc so I’m waiting for my negative pregnancy test to come, then am going to try the Dr again to see if he’ll do those. The obgyn I had was very sweet and said to call the hospital EPAC when I fall pregnant again so they can monitor me more closely, but I think most EPAC’s have stopped doing that now - from what I have heard they seem to mostly only see women woth bleeding or pain. I don’t knkw it that is because of covid though. I have a friend that now has an 8 week old (my first pg due date was about 2 weeks after hers) and the my friend in our little 3 some is due in 9 weeks, and I feel like I’m back at square 1! I’m still looking at the positives - but it’s just such an anxious time isn’t it!! I already feel like I won’t be able to relax next time!

CLSM · 05/12/2020 11:05

Hi everyone still no period and crampy feeling seems to have gone this morning. I will update you when I take a test. Thanks for your support x

Simmy20 · 05/12/2020 11:10

@Bellabubble yes my SIL is going to have her baby any day now and I feel like I should already have one. I know so many people having babies. This is going to be our first so it feels really hard. I hate hearing people having "accidents". It seems unfair when we want it so badly.
I'm actually in Australia so our hospital system is a little different to over in the UK. Thankfully in AU we basically don't have covid any longer so that isn't effecting anything.

Bellabubble · 05/12/2020 11:16

@Simmy20 That’s great news - hopefully thst means they can push forward with the test nice and quick for you! I think the UK still has a little resistance to giving extra support and stuff, they seem to tell everyone it’s just bad luck etc etc - you do get the occasional great person who seems to understand how you’re feeling a bit more, but their hands are still tied by all the guidelines they have to follow etc! We’re trying for our first too - tonadd extra pressure I’m 36! My husband is 30 though so I’m hoping that helps in a small way!

Simmy20 · 05/12/2020 11:23

@Bellabubble thankfully for my d&c my dh was able to come to the hospital with me and was able to attend all scans and things so our tests should be fine.
I'm 32 and dh is 31. I feel like I'm old but my obgyn assured me I wasn't and said it's not something to think about until at least 38 and that I'm still in my prime time. So with that info you are also still within your prime time so try not to worry about that (easier said than done i know)

CLSM · 05/12/2020 12:02

@MSG92 thinking of you. I’m sure everything will be perfect ❤️

Runnergirl1 · 05/12/2020 13:21

@MSG92 hope all has gone well x

MSG92 · 05/12/2020 15:30

Well, here is my bean! Measuring 7w5d so that's only 1 day off what the app predicted, heartbeat, everything looks normal!!! So relieved!!!

MoMof4xx · 05/12/2020 15:36

@MSG92 fantastic news. Very happy for u x

Mustkeepgoing2 · 05/12/2020 16:14

Thank you @susiebluebell. Yesterday was a bad day. I have had a good cry and spoken to a good friend and just let it all out and I feel a little better about it all.

I think the thing that I found difficult was that I actually got a faint but clear line on a FRER on Wednesday which would have been 7/8DPO and then on 8/9 DPO it was negative and completely blank and then came on AF on 10DPO. I have no idea what that means but it got my hopes up and my mind started rushing forward with excitement.

Due to having 3 consecutive losses I am fortunate (if you can call it that) to qualify for all the extra tests and investigative care so I have had all my bloods taken and am waiting for the results.

Back to CD1!!!! Let's hope this might be CD1 of a happy health my pregnancy for me. Here's hoping.

How are you getting on xxxx

Mustkeepgoing2 · 05/12/2020 16:17

@MSG92 congratulations what a lovely feeling that must have been and so nice to put your mind at rest. Hope you have a very happy healthy pregnancy xxx

MSG92 · 05/12/2020 16:43

Thanks @MoMof4xx and @Mustkeepgoing2 it has settled the nerves a bit! I'm still losing weight which is annoying, feeling sick all the time I just don't want to eat unfortunately...

I hope you get some good news with the bood tests, and this is the cycle it sticks for you!! The test thing is annoying, but maybe next time don't test early! Don't have them in the house then you won't be tempted.

susiebluebell · 05/12/2020 16:57

Ah wonderful @MSG92! I'm SO pleased for you! How are you feeling? Able to relax a bit now? 😉

susiebluebell · 05/12/2020 17:04

@Mustkeepgoing2 Good that you saw your friend and had a cry, it's what you need sometimes 💕

I'm pretty fed up with not knowing what my body is doing. CD48 today. The bloating and constipation seem to be getting better which is positive. My boobs are quite sore, which stupidly has put little ideas in my head that I 'might be pregnant after all'.. But I've got over most of the hope I had a week ago before we tested. I'm going to just keep busy, keep dtd whenever we want, and see what happens. I still feel a resistance to going to the GP which maybe is silly 😋 but I'm not 'ill' and there's nothing obviously wrong with my cycle. It's just long.

🤷🏻‍♀️

Runnergirl1 · 05/12/2020 17:45

@MSG92 that’s lovely news. So happy for you x

MSG92 · 05/12/2020 19:13

Thanks @Runnergirl1 and @susiebluebell.

I'm a bit relaxed but obviously it's still early days so a lot could happen. Honestly I just feel sick ALL THE TIME so I am forcing myself to eat. Eeer your cycle is really playing tricks this month, you seem to be coping well though, much better than I would.

elsimo · 05/12/2020 19:17

@MSG92 thats how I felt with my DD, honestly just gagged at everything. I couldn't go into shops because looking at food made me sick lol. It eased about 16 weeks!!
I reckon thats a good sign tho because I haven't be nearly as sick with my 2 mc's xx

MSG92 · 05/12/2020 19:29

Thanks @elsimo it's awkward isn't it, because I don't want to moan because I'm so lucky to be where I am, but my goodness I have never felt so ill for so long! I'm cramming all my fruit and veg down in a smoothie right now to shut DH up then that's it, I can eat no more!

elsimo · 05/12/2020 19:34

Aww @MSG92 you are totally allowed to moan! It was defo the hardest part of pregnancy for me, I sailed thru the rest after that.
Tell DH I lived on Cheese and onion hula hoops for the first 3 months and have a perfectly healthy 3 year old xx

susiebluebell · 05/12/2020 19:44

Cheese and onion hula hoops - that's made me giggle. My mum always tells how she lived on ritz crackers when first pregnant with me, and then later on in the pregnancy she craved McDonald's quarter pounders and could only have those! 😄

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/12/2020 19:45

Hello, I was hoping I could join for the coming months.

Brief Hx - had a NHS scan at 10 weeks exactly, all looked great. Then at 12 wk NHS scan there was no heartbeat. Baby estimated to have died at 10+5 and ruled a MMC. Had surgery 1.5 weeks later under general anaesthetic (5 days ago). Had near enough zero bleeding for 4 days then just an hour or so ago turned into v. heavy period-style Hmm.

I'd appreciate any info on how long people have bled after surgery, I wasnt anticipating it increasing!

My plan for what to do next - Eat well, sleep, some mild to moderate exercise. Keep taking folic acid and vitamin D. I'll check weekly to see if the pregnancy tests have gone negative. Then once they do get negative, we will start cycle tracking again. Then after first period, try again I guess!
