What do you all think is the issue? I've been feeling worse as the day has gone on. I suppose I could really be pregnant and am just one of those people who don't get a positive till later. Or else it could be a missed period, pcos, etc etc 😩 I'm going down a hole now. Hope everyone else is doing better than this! Xx

HappyVibes · 29/11/2020 20:05

I’m not 100% sure of anything else that it could be other than the potential options that you’ve mentioned @susiebluebell It’s a very tough situation to be in, I do remember other women on here missing a period randomly in their cycles and it not being usual for them. Xxx

elsimo · 29/11/2020 20:46

@susiebluebell i'm really sorry, I really thought it was gunna be a bfp. Is ur GP helpful? U could maybe phone them for a chat tommorow xx

anon0704 · 29/11/2020 21:08

Anyone else on the TWW? Sanity please? 💜

RichmondLady1981 · 29/11/2020 21:50

@susiebluebell that’s so flipping cruel. I really hope you get your BFP. It doesn’t seem to make sense having such a long cycle for no reason. Have you temped throughout your cycle? its your temp still high?

@MoMof4xx what lovely news. HUGE congratulations to you. 💕

HappyVibes · 29/11/2020 22:06

@anon0704 how many DPO are you? I’m 4DPO today, with AF predicted to arrive between 9-12th December. Xx

anon0704 · 29/11/2020 22:08

@HappyVibes I'm 1dpo!

Mizzler · 29/11/2020 22:37

Hello, I was hoping to join in if that's ok.

I had a mmc in September. I thought that I was 10.5 weeks but the scan showed the baby had died at 8 weeks. I had surgical management under local anaesthetic, which I thought would be awful but was actually ok because it was so quick.

Anyway, we've had a couple of cycles off from ttc. I just wasn't quite ready to jump back in and needed a bit of time. But I'm in my fertile week at the moment and we've decided to go for it so I'm back to it now.

I'm not temping or using opks at the moment but might do that if it takes us a while to conceive again.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and wishing you all the best of luck with ttc and future pregnancies!

HappyVibes · 30/11/2020 08:13

Welcome @Mizzler sorry about your loss - it seems that you’ve been very healthy at the way you’ve managed and responded to it for yourself, that’s admirable.

Good luck for your FW. Having had a couple of cycle post MC, I guess you’ll have an idea at whether your cycles are similar or diff than pre MC which is helpful if you’re not OPKing or temping.

Good luck lovely 💓💫

susiebluebell · 30/11/2020 08:21

@RichmondLady1981 Thanks, yes it does feel cruel but I'm working hard not to take it personally. As with so much of TTC it's 'wait and see', although I'd give anything not to be so bloated, constipated and uncomfortable! 😒 I don't temp but maybe that's an option going forward.

Thanks for suggesting calling the GP @elsimo I want to, but I also don't want to be turned away and I feel a bit fragile atm.. NHS information seems to indicate needing 3 missed periods before they do anything.

@Mizzler welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss! Wishing you all the best for your fertile week! Xx

bez91 · 30/11/2020 08:28

Hi everyone, last day of November but could I join? Hope they'll be a December thread too. Sorry everyone finds them self here and for everyone's loss

Had a MC back in September at around 6 weeks and just been diagnosed as having a missed miscarriage. Having surgery on Wednesday to remove the pregnancy 😔

Not sure how I feel about trying again I think for this next cycle we'll just NTNP.

elsimo · 30/11/2020 08:29

@susiebluebell its seems so weird!! U have all the symptoms 🤷‍♀️ Did u test again today?

MSG92 · 30/11/2020 08:33

@Mizzler welcome, sorry for your loss. You seem on top of it all waiting until you are ready. Good luck!!

@susiebluebell this is very odd, considering you are regular, are you going to test again in a few days? I was so bloated as soon as got pregnant, it was ridiculous, for someone who normally has a flat stomach (my fat is my side muffin top, I assure you I'm not lucky in having no muffin top) I looked like I was pregnant but it was just bloating. Your go might offer a blood test to confirm you are or aren't pregnant... Best of luck x

HappyVibes · 30/11/2020 08:53

@bez91 bless you lovely. Sorry you’re going through the MC now. Sending you well wishes lovely for this week. Allow yourself to go through the emotions and treat yourself kindly with as much self care as possible. I’m not sure what NTNP is sorry?

@MSG92 that’s a great suggestion to call the GP and request a blood test to confirm the situation. @susiebluebell

Xxx

susiebluebell · 30/11/2020 09:24

I might well phone up the GP and see if a blood test might be possible. Need to gather my strength a bit first though as I feel completely drained from yesterday and I'm glad we only bought the 3 tests. If nothing changes (ie no AF) this week then I'll get some more. It's really not a great time to be confused about fertility as it's very busy at uni, but I will just throw myself into my work this week and let my body get on with it.

@HappyVibes I think NTNP is 'not trying, not preventing' which is what me and OH were doing for most of this year 😊 Welcome @bez91! Xx

smarty4 · 30/11/2020 10:12

@susiebluebell I know what you mean about preparing yourself to ring the GP. I find it incredibly stressful. I hope you have a nice receptionist and GP

Welcome @bez91

Wishingfornumber2 · 30/11/2020 12:51

@susiebluebell I really hope you get answers one way or another and have a kind gp. I have been in the same situation a few times and know all too well the feeling of hope and then seeing the negative test. I used to have 31/32 day cycles but recently have had a 40 and 41day cycle. So was allowing myself to get a little bit of hope but it wasn’t to be.

I tested myself this morning with a CB digital as I’m 36cd but saw those dreaded not pregnant words. It’s good you don’t have to second guess a line but just find it so blunt 😢.

Mizzler · 30/11/2020 13:30

Thanks for the welcomes.

@bez91 sorry to hear you're going through a missed miscarriage. I hope that the surgery goes as well as it can and you feel better soon.

@susiebluebell good luck if you do decide to call the GP. I understand about needing to gather strength first - it is very difficult to involve someone else in such an emotional issue, especially when you can't be sure that they will be helpful.

@HappyVibes luckily, my cycles seem to be much the same as they were before. Unfortunately, my periods are much more painful now. After I had DD, who is 4.5, my periods were less painful so I'm not sure what the MC has done.

Mizzler · 30/11/2020 13:31

@Wishingfornumber2 sorry you had a BFN. I agree - those words feel so brutal don't they?

MSG92 · 30/11/2020 13:53

@bez91 welcome, sorry to hear your news, that's terrible.

I really feel for all of you at the moment, it's such a testing time when TTC. As awful as I feel lately I try not to moan as I got my BFP that we all desperately want. I'm still very anxious and won't settle until I've had my 12 weeks scan and I know my baby is actually there and OK, I wish it was easier to pop somewhere and get scans for people like us who have a reason to be anxious.

Thinking of you all, don't let it defeat you, what will be will be and stressing isn't going to help, only hinder. (eat my own words!)

northerngal20 · 30/11/2020 14:14

hey everyone! i'm not sure if anyone remembers me but i was on the sept/oct threads - i've been checking back in to see how you're all doing, this is possibly the most supportive group on MN! so good to see so many bfps, welcome to everyone that's new but also so sorry to hear about everyone's losses :( also thinking of anyone who's TTC, stay strong - you're amazing! it's such a hard time.

anyway i just wanted to say hi and give an update - i'm now 11 weeks - waiting for my 12 week scan next week and utterly terrified, i've never made it this far before and these last 7 weeks since the bfp have been a really anxious time :( i had some bleeding at around 7 weeks and thought i was having another mmc, so i'm literally counting down the days now. but hopefully things will turn out okay!

sending all the luck to those who are in their tww atm!

Mizzler · 30/11/2020 14:24

Congratulations on your BFPs @MSG92 and @northerngal20. I can't really imagine how anxious it must feel to be in the early stages of pregnancy after a loss. Sending lots of good vibes for sticky ones for both of you!

MSG92 · 30/11/2020 14:28

@northerngal20 I remember you!! Ah 11 weeks! How exciting. I feel you, I had 1 pregnancy test left in the cupboard so did it yesterday at 7 weeks haha, luckily still positive but I will not let myself think everything is OK until the 12 week scan, I'm not sure when I will have mine as I'll be 12 weeks on 2nd January which is also a weekend...I'd love to have it before new years so I can tell family on NY day.

Thanks @Mizzler, can't wait for your BFP, it's coming

northerngal20 · 30/11/2020 14:38

thanks @Mizzler!! yes hopefully your bfp will come soon and the time afterwards won't be quite as stressful as i've found it! I think on a 0-10 of the worry scale i'm about a 15!

ahh @MSG92 congrats to you too!! i really hope they can squeeze your scan in just before new years - what a great new years day that would be if you can tell your family! i'm hoping to have good news so we can tell everyone just before christmas - and then get really festive!! and yes! i know how you feel with the tests - i must have taken about 7 in total!! i probs took my last one at around 7 weeks actually - just to be sure! really hoping all goes well for you now :)

bez91 · 30/11/2020 16:08

Congratulations @MSG92 and @northerngal20 fab news! Wishing you both a healthy pregnancy x
