@ComebackQueen I started TTC/doing IVF 3 years ago and I didn't know that either 😂😂 have always worried about DPs sperm coming straight out again.

@Makingnumber2 I love damp January too!! Am going to be sharing that. Sounds like he's done really well on all the lifestyle changes. My DP is miserable without the booze!

Also @eloiseislost your comment a while back about a side effect of the vaccine being to constantly tell people about it also made me properly laugh!

Love this group xxx

hi all,

so lovely to see some new members and this thread being alive and well. After my 3rd Mc in late October I needed a bit of a break from TTC. I had a very heavy period after my MC with lots of clots (scary) and decided not to try around Christmas time as I wanted to enjoy Christmas and not worry about TWW and not drinking etc.

A few days after Christmas my DB told me his DW was expecting their 2nd (and my DB didn;t want a 2nd child). It was very unexpected news as this baby was not planned and to be honest I spent two days crying after this news. I felt awful being so unhappy about their happy news.

We SI twice in early Jan and now I am 14DPO. I had my BFP tonight (will post a photo shortly, test done with evening urine). We are not excited and not talking about the pregnancy (I did a few tests in the last days and had faint lines), as we don't want to get our hopes up too early again. As I had 3 MC I now get a 6 week scan. Please have your fingers crossed for me that this one sticks. I really can't deal with another MC.

I also wanted to share this though to encourage you all: the method works! I track my ovulation with Clearblue sticks, inseminate in the evenings and don't get up afterwards. We only manage 2-3 inseminations per cycle. I also take folic acid, multivitamins (Seven Seas), low dose aspirin (recommended by consultant), vitamin B. Yes I probably went OTT with vitamins but can't hurt right!!

lots of hugs and baby dust to you all.

AdriannaP · 18/01/2021 22:12

oh and one final tip: I have changed syringes to 1ml ones, less air bubbles and they are longer and go deeper.

AdriannaP · 18/01/2021 22:15

My test tonight

These tests were from 2 and 3 days ago so the line progression is giving me hope.

Ahhh @AdriannaP omg 🥰 that's a huge bfp. I'll be crossing everything for you! Such good news, praying for a sticky baby. Thank you for sharing. ❤️ I can understand you being hesitant to be excited. I hope everything goes okay and will want to see your happy update in a few weeks 🤞🤞

AdriannaP · 18/01/2021 22:32

Thank you @MrsKin90! I have not forgotten your kind words when I had my MC. I so hope you will have your BFP soon too.

primrosechill · 18/01/2021 23:03

Hi all! 🙋🏻‍♀️ just to say that I’m still here lurking about and so so excited to see so many BFPs on here recently - maybe it’s because there’s more of us here now but I’d like to think it’s because our luck has turned and 2021 will be a good one! On that note, fingers crossed to @Cathie102 @Birchybirch @bigsweetpotato @AdriannaP and anyone whom I migh have missed (sorry!) for a sticky bean and happy pregnancy. And to all of you still TTCing, thank you for giving me this forum and making me feel normal ❤️ Oh and making me laugh daily.

I’m 8DPO today so officially entered second week of TWW. Period due on Sat - we’ll see! 🤞🏼 xxx

bigsweetpotato · 18/01/2021 23:17

Congrats @AdriannaP that's a strong line!! and also congrats @Cathie102 your post was lovely and I feel exactly the same about this group. So much advice and support, and helped me feel 'normal'.
Fingers crossed for everyone x

eloiseislost · 19/01/2021 06:37

Congratulations @AdriannaP 💕
You'll be in my prayers, I hope this is your rainbow! 🌈 🤞🏼

MrsKin90 · 19/01/2021 07:47

It's nice to have some good news about on this thread! 😊
@Cathie102 that's really lovely, congratulations ❤️
@primrosechill I'm jealous you're so far into your tww! 🤞🤞 Glad you're still lurking. Hope you're feeling ok!

We haven't heard from Oilyoily in ages, I hope she's okay. She'll have 800 posts to read when she comes back!

I had a very emotional 'woe is me' break down day yesterday with a bit of random crying but already feel more positive today. I THINK maybe I ovulated yesterday or Sunday. My BBT is on the way back up as is my RHR but mostly judging this by EWCM, suddenly feeling sick with acid reflux yesterday and my boobs/nipples being really sore. On Sunday after SI, I noticed some blood on the bed 😳 (from me) and then had some blood later on in the cup when I took it out. It's the most blood I've had from possible ovulation spotting and freaked me out slightly. I'm CD 22 today so I better have already ovulated 🤨😒

MrsKin90 · 19/01/2021 07:52

I've come back a page to refresh what everyone was up to yesterday! Happy to see people have ovulated and gotten peaks and are officially in their twws! 🤞🤞🤞
LOL at the biology lesson. Nobody knows these things to start with, they definitely didn't cover it in sexual education at school (aka how not to get pregnant lessons - I could have done with the opposite!). 😁
Also re. Names. We've got a little list for a boy and list for a girl as we needed something to do whilst waiting forever for a bfp. Since writing this list we've lost four of the names to other people's babies, including my absolute favourite for a girl. 🙄 I'm sure I won't care at all when we finally have a baby lol so that's what I'm holding onto! 😊

Sydney1986x · 19/01/2021 08:12

Congratulations @AdriannaP and Kathie 💕

I am now 3 days late AF.. I look a test yesterday morning (clear blue) and BFN. This is really unlike me to have such a late period. What’s wrong with me 🙈 it feels like torture waiting!

Have any of you been in this situation before? Do I wait a couple more days & then test again? Xx

eloiseislost · 19/01/2021 08:27

@Sydney1986x How frustrating!! Do you know when you ovulated? Are you temping and/or using OPKs?

Sydney1986x · 19/01/2021 08:31

I know right! I ovulated on 2nd Jan (pretty sure), I don’t do temping as I dive around the bed all night/ have lucid dreams but do OPKs x

AdriannaP · 19/01/2021 08:45

@eloiseislost @bigsweetpotatol @primrosechill
Thank you all so much. I have cried so many tears over my MC and I really hope this long and painful journey is ending now and we will have our long awaited 🌈

I will keep you all posted and continue following this thread and your journeys. Wishing lots of babydust to everyone waiting for their BFP.
❤️❤️❤️

AdriannaP · 19/01/2021 08:46

@Sydney1986x thank you!
Which test did you use? Maybe try again with a cheapie tomorrow morning, they are very sensitive.

AdriannaP · 19/01/2021 08:48

Sorry i missed you said Clearblue. For compulsive testers like me I recommend cheapies from Amazon. 15 or 20 in a pack and they are very sensitive.

Sydney1986x · 19/01/2021 08:50

@AdriannaP I used 2x clear blues and a similar one from b&m but not the cheapies.. I don’t have any of those. Where can I get some from or will they only be available online?

I didn’t realise the cheap ones might be better! I’m about £30 down in preg tests 😂

Over the moon for you @AdriannaP 🌈

We have so much positivity in this group and I have a great feeling about 2021 💫 xx

Bluey18 · 19/01/2021 09:00

@AdriannaP So happy to hear about your BFP, I will have everything crossed for you for your scan at 6 weeks X

@Sydney1986x From experience clear blue are actually pretty rubbish, I got BFNs from them when I was a week late when expecting my daughter. A first response is probably your best bet (available in pharmacies but v expensive) but I agree the internet cheapies are also good if you can get your hands on them. Good luck 🤞Smile

AdriannaP · 19/01/2021 09:04

@Sydney1986x I buy them on Amazon, these for example www.amazon.co.uk/50-Ultra-Early-Pregnancy-earlier/dp/B0026RKBWM/ref=mp_s_a_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=pregnancy+tests&sprefix=preg&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1611046950&sr=8-18

I don’t want to know how much I have sent on tests in the last years. At least £150 so far on Clearblue ovulation kits 🤯😭

Birchybirch · 19/01/2021 09:09

Ah congratulations @AdriannaP I'm really hoping this will be your rainbow baby 🌈 Got everything crossed for you for a healthy and happy 9 months x

Sydney1986x · 19/01/2021 09:18

Thank you @AdriannaP & @Bluey18 just ordered the cheapies with my partners Amazon prime! Need to know for sure by Friday as have my covid vaccine booked in for Saturday morning! Xx

ComebackQueen · 19/01/2021 09:54

Haha @Janefx40 I’m glad I wasn’t the only one, I’m much more knowledgeable thanks to the wonderful people on this thread.

Massive congratulations to @Cathie102 @Birchybirch @bigsweetpotato @AdriannaP - hoping it sticks and everyone goes on to have a healthy, peaceful and successful pregnancy.

So glad to see this method has been successful for many of you.
