Hmm because I spent SO LONG typing my response I missed @primrosechill and @eloiseislost responses!

Primrose hooray for being in your tww! Try not to worry about the spotting, probably just a bit of ovulation spotting which should stop for the rest of the tww? Try to stay positive if you can 😊 I think it helps the tww go faster! 🤞

My BBT is crazy this cycle. It's usually on the lower side of "normal" anyway, at around 35.9/36.10. It was 35.80 yesterday and 35.58 today!! Hopefully a huge ovulation dip and it'll go up up up tomorrow 🤞 genuinely googled hypothermia temperature 😂Cd16 for me today so I hope I ovulate soon.

@Labrat3 hope you got a positive result on your test if you did one this morning😊

eloiseislost · 13/01/2021 11:53

@MrsKin90 I thought I would ovulate today (CD14) but the OPKs are still nowhere near positive. 😖 I thought we were getting somewhere yesterday but nope! It's unlike me not to have a positive OPK by now, but it is the first full cycle post MC so I'm assuming things are not totally back to normal. At least I have EWCM so I should ovulate at some point soon! 🤞🏼 We chose the wrong cycle to do SMEP! 🤣
My BBT has been steadily going down so I hope that's another sign of ovulation approaching.
Your temps sound very low, but I think it's also down to what time you are taking them. Anything above 35 should be fine though, don't add the worry of hypothermia to TTC! Fingers crossed you ovulate soon! Who would've thought we would long to be in the 2WW hell? 😆

Birchybirch · 13/01/2021 11:58

Hi @Labrat3 and welcome to the group. Yes please keep us posted on the outcome of your test! I agree that SI-ing definitely takes pressure away from trying the traditional way during the tww x

Bluey18 · 13/01/2021 12:42

@eloiseislost I'm in the exact same boat as you, thought last night's OPK was looking slightly darker but back to barely visible at 11am today.

@Labrat3 Welcome! Love the name 😂. Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust

@Birchybirch Tentatively excited for you over here, I think you were last on the thread before I joined but it is just lovely to hear some possible good news on this thread Smile

ComebackQueen · 13/01/2021 12:54

Good luck for everyone in the two week wait.

I have a UTI that’s turned into a kidney infection and on some yucky clarithromycin antibiotics which makes me feel worse than the infection.

My day of ovulation is apparently Friday so might have to count myself out of the SI this month as when I’m unwell I know I won’t be brave enough to insert.

I’m going to try invest in this vagi-wave trainer for three weeks to see if that helps.

Good luck to all on their SI this month.

I hope to finally join in February now.

eloiseislost · 13/01/2021 18:17

@Birchybirch How rude of me, I didn't communicate my excitement about your news!! I proper did a small victory dance when I read your post but somehow I forgot to reply! 🙈 It'a such hopeful news and I can't wait to see your Big VERY Fat Positive soon! ❤️

@Bluey18 It's so frustrating! I think my last OPK was darker but I had drunk lots and my pee was almost white (TMI) so I'm trying to hold for another 3 hours and see what happens. Now that's a challenge, because in those 3 hours we will also SI! The things we have to go through… 🤣

@ComebackQueen I'm sorry to hear about your UTI, I've been there and I get exactly what you mean, antibiotics never agree with me either. Give your body time to heal and next cycle you'll be able to better focus on insemination! Take care of yourself first and foremost! 😘

Labrat3 · 13/01/2021 20:12

Not even kidding this happened this morning.....it hasn’t sunk in yet one bit it’s just surreal!
3 whole years to date.....I just can’t believe it we are both still in shock Shock

eloiseislost · 13/01/2021 21:30

Congratulations @Labrat3 ❤️ Wishing you a happy, healthy 9 months ahead!

Sydney1986x · 13/01/2021 21:34

Thank you @eloiseislost for your information re the vaccine! That’s really interesting- my partner is really keen for me to get the vaccine as he’s concerned should I catch covid and impact in pregnancy and on baby.. will do some more reading and make a final decision next week. I am patient facing in my role too (mental health community) so I also feel a responsibility to help beat this pandemic and keep everyone safe!

@Birchybirch any news? So excited for you!

@ComebackQueen I really hope you feel better soon, UTI’s are awful. Take care of yourself!

@Labrat3 CONGRATS!!! Amazing news and thanks for sharing. Are there any tips or pearls of wisdom- anything done differently this time or since November with the SI?

Janefx40 · 13/01/2021 22:04

@Labrat3 congrats! After 3 years this must feel amazing. Lovely for the group to hear a success story too x

@ComebackQueen I feel for you! I've had loads of UTIs since my miscarriage - basically every time we have sex - partly what led us to SI. Hope you feel better soon

@eloiseislost hope you managed to not pee and SI and it was all bearable!!! The things we do!

eloiseislost · 13/01/2021 22:21

@Janefx40 Thanks, I managed SI with a soft cup and a 4-hour hold, yay me!
But after all that... still no positive OPK!! Line was actually darker with the diluted pee! What's going on?? I could cry, not from sadness, but from utter frustration! 😠
Deep breaths, rant over! 🧘🏻‍♀️

Birchybirch · 13/01/2021 22:39

Ah @ComebackQueen sorry to hear about your infection! Hopefully the meds work to clear it up quickly!

@eloiseislost ah please don't worry! 🙂 Ooh yeah opks can be a bit of a pain. See what the next few days brings, as there's probably loads of variables that could muddle the results.

@Labrat3 that's fantastic news! Congratulations! So happy for you. Here's to a happy 9 months.

@Sydney1986x ah no, not took a test since. It says best to go off 1st wee, so decided I'd wait a couple of days then try again. I think tomorrow morning I'll test again.

We got waaaay ahead of ourselves today, and had a convo about how we'd tell people, and in what order. Far too early for any of that I know! X

eloiseislost · 13/01/2021 22:54

@Birchybirch I'm using a different brand of OPKs this month (Femometer) and I'm starting to suspect there's something wrong with them. Just went through Amazon reviews and there are a lot of 1-star reviews with photos comparing different brand of OPKs showing peak and Femometer showing a faint line. At least I take my BBT so if I ovulate, I will know. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I admire your self restraint and sensibility with testing! 😁 It's normal to think about the future, you are not thaaaaat far ahead! If you were buying a pram, that would be premature! But the time to announce will be here before you know it. 🙂

primrosechill · 13/01/2021 22:59

@eloiseislost I use femometer OPKs and they work fine for me for picking up peak so it’s not always bad I think but of course we’re all different! Like you said, it might be that your cycle is a bit out of whack after MC but if you dont get peak in the next few days then deffo worth checking out a different brand!

@Labrat3 welcome to the group and congrats! Love to see so much good news on here

Birchybirch · 13/01/2021 23:58

@primrosechill @eloiseislost ah yeah I also use fenometer. I've found them so so... The 1st month, by CB picked up a peak 2 days before they did, and this 2nd month, they picked up the peak when my CB didn't, so I have mixed feelings about them I guess. Ooh, also, the 1st month, the "intelligent" recognition falsely read a different line, so said I'd peaked, when it was a week away. See how you go, hopefully they will get better! 🤞

Labrat3 · 14/01/2021 07:38

I don’t know about pearls of wisdom but I can tell you what we did?
I think doing SI took A LOT of the pressure off of both of us and we could have a sex life again without thinking ‘we have to make a human out of this’. I did the usual thing of putting my legs and hips up after SI for half an hour whilst leaving the syringe in and I always tried to orgasm too (oh the glamour)
I started trying to follow my cervical mucus in November (didn’t think of doing this before as I still thought it might just “happen”) rather than relying on apps as my cycle can be all over the place anyway. I waited til I had ewcm and we SI but a week later I seen I had the same ewcm AGAIN? So we did SI again for a few more days whilst having sex in between.
The only supplements I have been taking for the last 3 years is Folic Acid and vitamin D which are both cheap from Wilkinson’s lol (The doctor said both of these are fine and you don’t need to take the expensive stuff)
I just want you guys to bear in mind that I also suffer from anxiety and depression.....last month I hit a reeeeeeeally bad low I found out one of my best friends was pregnant and the pain hit me like a tonne of bricks....I was sure that it wasn’t guna happen for us ever.
Beginning of this year I tried to stay as calm and patient as I could and try to repeat the words ‘what will be will be’.
So you can imagine our shock yesterday!
Trying to be as chilled out as possible as we are still in the very early days Grin
I still can’t believe it just yet...

eloiseislost · 14/01/2021 09:03

@Birchybirch @primrosechill What is really odd is that they give me pretty much the exact same line regardless of day, time of day and hold. So I decided to test with water last night and lo and behold, the same line appeared! I'll be really pissed if my bathroom sink gets pregnant before me!! 🤣

Lori23TTC · 14/01/2021 09:42

@Labrat3 congratulations this is fantastic news 🥰 I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months xxx

Birchybirch · 14/01/2021 12:22

Haha, that made me chuckle @eloiseislost It is bad though that even normal water is testing with a low peak. Maybe you have a dodgy batch. Might be worth seeing if you can message them, or amazon to see if they have had any other issues with that batch.

I did another test today, and the line is a little darker, but still faint, so I'm going to blow my boots points on a clearblue one soon, and see it that will tell me for def, and if so, how many weeks (guessing only one if its so faint) x

primrosechill · 14/01/2021 12:37

how strange @eloiseislost! I wonder if you have a deflective batch or something! hope you get pregnant faster than your toilet sink, too, hahaha

Makingnumber2 · 14/01/2021 15:47

Gosh lots to catch up on- and how brilliant to hear some great news!
Congratulations @Labrat3 and @Birchybirch! I am thrilled for both of you- so exciting and I will keep my fingers crossed for you both to have a happy and healthy pregnancy Smile

Nothing of interest to report currently from me- just waiting for FW to hit (starts sunday) so DH and I can get cracking. Am trying to feel really positive but the weather is making it hard!

Hope your UTI clears up soon @ComebackQueen they are the absolute worst! And @eloiseislost hope that peak shows up asap- it's really keeping you waiting this cycle!

eloiseislost · 14/01/2021 19:59

@Birchybirch A line is a line! 🙂 Let us know how you get on with the CB!

@primrosechill I got some Tesco ovulation sticks and the line is almost as dark as the control, while the Femometer ones still show the same faint line with the same urine! Must be a bad batch, thankfully I can return the rest of them and get all my money back from Amazon -I love Prime 😄

@Makingnumber2 I thought the 2WW was bad, but waiting for ovulation is no party either! Glad you feel positive, don't let the weather get you down! My mum calls this type of weather "snuggle weather". 💞

I think I got my dates wrong due to the first period after the MC being a bit odd. I had spotting and passed some dark brown clots for 3 days and I thought the start of this was CD1. But then on CD4 I got my normal period cramps and usual red blood and flow, which lasted 4 more days. I suspect I passed leftover tissue before my actual period so I'm further behind than I thought. It's just a theory but it makes sense! Sorry for the TMI, I have no filter! 😆

Got my COVID vaccine today, I was so happy it was the Pfizer they gave me, as it's a much "cleaner" mechanism of delivery, there's no virus components in it whatsoever. So far, side effects are soreness at the injection site and not being able to shut up about getting the vaccine! 😅

bigsweetpotato · 14/01/2021 21:30

Big congrats @Labrat3 and @Birchybirch xxx

bigsweetpotato · 14/01/2021 21:38

@eloiseislost I switched to wondfo OPKs and did them at the same time as my Femometer ones and found that they weren't as 'sensitive' as the wondfo ones i.e didn't show as dark a line when testing with the same sample. Maybe you do have a bad batch though?

Ps hope you guys don't mind me staying and lurking on this thread. I really like you guys and don't wanna jump ship Bear

eloiseislost · 14/01/2021 21:46

@bigsweetpotato I think it was definitely a defective batch, these things happen!
Anyway, with the Tesco sticks, I finally got my peak this evening, I'm so relieved! We did a SI and we plan another one tomorrow.

Of course you can stay, we want people to have a reason to leave but not actually leave! ❤️
