Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. This our 4th thread (I think!) and we've had a few ladies get their BFP recently which is so exciting! Join us, won’t you?

@AMS19 yes very similar xx you can look at charts on FF of a similar nature! All is looking good I think x

AMS19 · 31/10/2020 09:57

Think that must be a premium option @Moocher90? Either way good to hear it isnt that I've missed ovulation and got it wrong! Xx

Moocher90 · 31/10/2020 10:09

@AMS19 I don’t pay for premium. Just go to FF website and there’s a tab on left hand side under charts it shows anovulatory, ovulatory pregnancy and miscarriage charts.

mrsmacmc · 31/10/2020 19:47

CD11 here today and nada on OPK test strips which is unusual as last 3 cycles I've had a light line getting darker 🤷‍♀️ who knows!!

Hope everyone is having as good a Halloween 🎃 they can have. Back to uni work, rocking Saturday night!

Kay00 · 31/10/2020 23:45

@mrsmacmc you might get a more sudden surge or perhaps ovulate a little later, either way you're still early on CD11 😊

AMS19 · 01/11/2020 06:49

Morning ladies. How do we all feel about the new national lockdown? Excluding the impact on the economy and businesses being in tier 2 already it doesn't really impact me. I saw my family yesterday in a beer garden - was absolutely freezing.

My body is definitely playing tricks on me, had one large and one small glass of red wine and felt so so sick. It was horrible. It is definitely psychological, I know that, but nonetheless I felt awful. So won't drink now until I have got AF/BFN and dont make myself feel sick for no reason 🙄

ChinChilly · 01/11/2020 07:57

Morning @AMS19 we are tier 2 aswell, lockdown doesn’t effect me personally but my heart breaks for all these buisness’s already struggling.

That’s strange about the wine, fingers crossed its a good sign!

I’m 11DPO BFN and my RHR dropped another 1BPM so just a waiting game for AF now... I’m really starting to think what is the point of all this tracking? You do everything right and it still doesn’t happen, I feel like I can’t be bothered witu it anymore...next cycle is going to be a shit show because OH is on night shifts for my entire FW. Sorry to be a Debbie down but arghhhh it’s so frustrating!

AMS19 · 01/11/2020 08:06

@ChinChilly how long have you been tracking for and how consistent are your cycles? If you've done it a few times and everything is pretty consistent you could always consider stopping as you will know the key dates anyway? That is my plan from Jan, assuming my next 2 cycles are the same as this one. I think it is so frustrating when you've done everything you can and it doesn't happen, but it will. And knowing your body will help it happen, if not this month then maybe the next or next after that x

Kay00 · 01/11/2020 08:10

Morning ladies! Im in Devon where instances of Covid 19 have been VERY low since the start so it seems unfair to have to go back into lockdown for a whole month... but the scientific advisor said cases were rising even here so perhaps the lockdown is a good idea. Im a bit sad I won't get to see my family until December... but hopefully when I do I'll have some exciting news (... now I'm dreaming haha! 😅)

ChinChilly · 01/11/2020 08:34

@AMS19 I’ve only been using OPKs for the last 2 cycles as I wasn’t sure if I was ovulating, I’m not sure why I’ve let it get me so down because in the grand scheme of things it hasn’t been that long at all, I only stopped taking my pill in June. My cycles have been consistent, 28-29 days since I stopped the pill and the last 2 cycles I have ovulated somewhere around the middle.

I think I had convinced myself I was pregnant this month, I had a tiny bit of pink im some creamy CM 2-3 days ago, same time as some mild cramping...painful nipples that look like they have a dark ring around them& my RHR has been so high, gosh my body has been cruel to me this cycle 😂😂

@Kay00 it is a shame for the areas that have low infection rates, but atleast a lockdown may stop it before it get higher, I just hope they stick to one month and don’t drag it on and on like last time

AMS19 · 01/11/2020 08:43

@ChinChilly 11DPO is still super early though to get a BFP so I wouldnt say you were totally out. I would definitely test again at 14DPO! 🤞🤞 I totally get you though. I am convinced I'm not pregnant this month but then my body plays tricks on me and gets my hope up!

ChinChilly · 01/11/2020 08:51

Thanks @AMS19 It is early, I was hoping for atleast a fait line, I didn’t even use a FRER it was a savers rip off so I’m not sure why I’m letting it get to me...AF is due Wednesday so I’m just going to wait until she either shows or doesn’t show! I have no tests left in the house so shouldn’t be too hard to resist.

Glad I’m not the only one who’s body plays tricks on them 😂

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 10:05

@ChinChilly we spend the majority of our lives trying to not fall pregnant and when we do and it don’t happen so we get upset and assume something is wrong. You are deffo not out and am sure if you wait a few more days and test again and in the mean time be good to yourself x Bodies can be cruel and give us all the positive signs that we are pregnant which is so unfair. Today my RHR is 68bpm I’m supposedly 8dpo and my temp has dipped but not below the cover line. I haven’t been sleeping very well though and usually I go to be around 10/11 the latest and sleep until my alarm at 6am. Still struggling with a cough and cold. I don’t know what’s going on...clearly psychological though because I’m in the tww.

MintGreenLife · 01/11/2020 10:08

Morning everyone :)

Hope you're all having a nice weekend?

I'm on CD19 now and not much is happening, which is disappointing. Am also thinking now we are in a national lockdown again I'd be unlikely to get my help with my thyroid from the GP anytime soon, so may just do the private test for now, which is annoying, but at least it'll give me a better picture of what's going on, and if it's worse than I thought then I most certainly will be approaching the gp! x

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 14:59

@MintGreenLife I really hope you ovulate soon! And hoping you get the answers you need regarding your thyroid.
Think your not wrong wanting answers quicker and maybe doing the test privately is a good idea then you can go back to the GO with it once this is all over. My sister had an overactive thyroid and ended up having to have hers out as she was so ill but she was a teenager at the time. She has to take levothyrozine daily but she did manage to have two children. My nan on my mums side had an underactive thyroid and had two children one being my mum so it if definitely possible.

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 14:59

GP* not GO 😂

ChinChilly · 01/11/2020 15:20

Thanks @Moocher90 it is really difficult, I think I had stupidly convinced my self this was the month, had a small bit of brown discharge this morning when I wiped (TMI sorry 😂) nothing since and not much cramping going on yet! Hopefully your temp stays up fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 16:04

@ChinChilly thanks fx for you too x

musicaljojo · 01/11/2020 17:22

Good afternoon everyone, well Mother Nature finally got her bum into gear and my period started today at a cycle of 52 days so at least I know where I am now! What a bloody long cycle that was!
@ChinChilly and @Moocher90 I hope she stays away for you and that this month is your month!!

musicaljojo · 01/11/2020 17:25

Also @MintGreenLife I know it’s not much consultation when it’s not you but a friend at work has thyroid problems, she’s been on medication since she was 16 and has two children, so fingers crossed that they can sort it all out! 😊

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 17:32

@musicaljojo 52 days is a long cycle :( here’s hoping your next one is much better!

Be lovely to see some BFPs on this thread

MintGreenLife · 01/11/2020 17:42

Thanks for the positive stories @Moocher90 how are you getting on?

@musicaljojo thanks :) issue is mine is mildly underactive - above the recommended levels for TTC and pregnancy, but below the levels which would require medication, so bit tricky and means I most likely wouldn't get medication to help, although that's just me assuming. I may still call the GP about it but expect now more than before I will be dismissed as they probably won't be keen to see anyone unless vital. I keep going back and forth between at least trying and seeing what they say, to just doing my own tests and going from there. I'll figure it out I'm sure. How are you getting on? x

MintGreenLife · 01/11/2020 17:43

@musicaljojo just saw you got AF, is that your first after stopping the pill? I think my third cycle post pill was 55 days, so feel your pain!

Moocher90 · 01/11/2020 17:57

@MintGreenLife I’m 8DPO today. Felt like I’ve had a heavy uterus and cramping. No spotting as of yet and period isn’t due until end of next week. Suffering with a cold and cough since 4DPO. Cold feels a lot better then what it was but cough is driving me mad! Temps are still higher then my cover line so far but still early days. Breasts are achy the sides and underneath and nipples are more sensitive. I’m trying to tell myself that these are all PMS symptoms too! We shall see at the end of next week either way.

ChinChilly · 01/11/2020 18:10

Thanks @musicaljojo & @Moocher90

I’m fairly certain she is on her way, what has really thrown me off though is my boobs, sooo veiny and a dark ring around my right nipple & I know I haven’t symptom spotted that as my OH pointed it out 😕

The private tests sound like a good idea @MintGreenLife although they are telling people to keep using th NHS so you may get some joy with your GP, good luck!
