Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. @Moocher90 eeeek exciting!! That is next week! I'll wait until I'm officially late. My AF is due Wednesday 11th. I'm off work on Friday 13th (and 13 is my lucky number, so Friday 13th whilst unlucky for most is usually a lucky day for me) so probably then. But given it is my first proper cycle - second cycle off the pill - I'll be amazed if I get that far!

Here’s hoping to the both of us. Fingers crossed. Likewise first proper cycle post pill and been off pill since 24th August. Yes I prob won’t test earlier then date of expected period as surely my bbt and RHR will reflect if AF is coming! If it doesn’t happen this month there’s always next month to try again.

@Moocher90 @AMS19 If I have indeed ovulated then FF suggests I test next Sunday 8th... but I don't have a good feeling about this cycle, haha! I feel like it has been a bit of a car crash, so i'm hoping that gives me the incentive not to test early.

@Kay00 interestingly I'm the same - I hate being too hot and can feel quite irritable when I do get too hot, which is a hyper thing rather than hypo. If I were you I would perhaps call the GP and explain you are TTC and ask to see the results from your last blood test as you're a little concerned about your thyroid?

Thanks @AMS19 I go through so many ups and downs of feeling more positive and then feeling rubbish again, sometimes I question why we are even bothering with DTD every other day as feels pointless. Just having a bit of a 'meh' day x

But @MintGreenLife on of the worst feelings in life is regret. So by DTD you are covering all bases and that is great. Keep doing everything you're doing and it will pay dividends im sure of it ❤

Sorry your feeling abit fed up of it all @MintGreenLife I felt abit like that last cycle, the whole TTC is abit of an emotional rollercoaster!

I’m 7DPO today, had a couple of twinges/cramps this morning and a tiny fleck of light pink in some CM just now. I mean it was tiny like I would not of even noticed it if I wasn’t inspecting the tissue everytime I wiped 🙄 hoping it isn’t a sign of a super early AF!

@ChinChilly I know absolutely nothing about it but could it be implantation bleeding? I thought that happened around the 7DPO mark?

Okay so I woke up this morning with a proper flow and really bad AF cramps. Thing is I'd associate this with CD1 and not CD3 so now I'm wondering if my last two days of light period actually would have counted as spotting... It was definitely a bit too much for me to have dared go without a tampon but I if it wasn't for hygiene reasons it was definitely light enough for me to have been able to wear just one tampon all day.

Now that I look at my chart I think even it is telling me that today is CD1 🙊. Thoughts?

@ChinChilly fingers crossed that's implantation spotting!

@AMS19 @Juno231 I did wonder about implantation but thought it may be a little early, trying not to look into things too much and get my hopes up...although my RHR is on its way back up!

@juno231 my last cycle was similar, the first day or two was really light same thing with the tampon, day three was the only real day I would class as normal flow, I just marked CD1 as the first day I had any bleeding.

@Juno231 Yes, I would mark today as CD1. Is spotting normal for you?

Thanks @ChinChilly I feel a bit better today. I did decide yesterday I would call the GP about my TSH level, but think I'll leave it a bit longer, although the more I look into it the more it seems to be bad news as it increases risk of miscarriage when over 2.5, so maybe worth pushing with the GP?!

@Juno231 hmm it's tricky as depends on what is normal for you really. My AF tends to be pretty light (apart from on that really long cycle) so I may have one day where I would genuinely need to use 3-4 tampons, and then maybe 2 days where I would get away with one if like you say it weren't for hygiene reasons. If the very light flow wasn't normal for you then I'd say mark today as CD1 x

@Juno231 definitely sounds like CD1 to me!

Anyone who has been in a tww got hot flashes? I’m 5 DPO and for the first time ever I haven’t been able to sleep, felt like I was having heart palpitations and my RHR has shot up from 68 to 70 overnight. I got into work and I felt like I was on fire. My cheeks are rosy. I’m assuming it’s the progesterone as my temp rose higher today.

It’s all very confusing as not felt this way before.

@Moocher90 that is very exciting! Im 3DPO and nothing for me except weird twinges now and again

@AMS19 I’m hoping it’s a good sign! I feel awful though as I’ve got a cold and I’m congested but not sure if I can take anything during my tww

@Moocher90 from the research I've done (which is a lot) the only thing you shouldn't take in TWW is anything anti-inflammatory. Everything else should be fine

@Moocher90 yes, you can take paracetamol. I took some last night as my kidneys are playing up again ... meh. Good thing i'm on my TWW as I am certainly not in the mood to DTD! And to top it all off I have run out of milk (for tea) (woah me lol)

I’m giving up hope on OPKs - mine are still low and have actually gone lower than they were 2 days ago. I need patience I know 😣. My cervix is now high soft and open though so maybe it’s thinking about it.

@Juno231 how do I add my rhr to fertility friend please?! I guess I’ll rely on that more than my temp this month as I was ill. Although my temp has gone down the past 2 days so if I ovulate later than I may see the rise

@sperr I think you can only do that if you have the paid subscription - you add it to the custom data section and something else (I can look it up if you do have the subscription). It's equally affected by illness though so would be no more use than your temp this cycle!

@Kay00 exciting. What DPO are you classing today as?
