Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. This our 4th thread (I think!) and we've had a few ladies get their BFP recently which is so exciting! Join us, won’t you?

Welcome back:

@crabette Yeah I just use OPKs, I tend to test once a day from around CD10 then once I see a line start to appear, I test 2-3 times a day normally lunch time, late afternoon and then evening! Mine comes and goes so quickly but for some the get positive OPKs for a couple of days.

crabette · 04/11/2020 11:08

Ah yeah I think I'd need to do 2-3 times a day over the expected dates too. I've only caught mine once, it was a strong positive, but day before and day after both absolutely nothing! So obviously comes on quick and then disappears again. Might try that next cycle to supplement my woeful temping skills 😂🙈

crabette · 04/11/2020 11:08

Sorry @ChinChilly forgot to tag you!

AMS19 · 04/11/2020 11:11

@crabette this cycle mine came and went within 24 hours! I also did once a day from CD8 then started doing twice a day where the second line appeared (i have 0% generally so usually nothing there most of the time!)

LauraT94 · 04/11/2020 11:16

Thanks @ChinChilly :)

After 6% on my LH test last night, I've tested again this morning and got 27% which sounds promising... Though I'm CD16 today so I'm not sure if that's early or late or what!

Will test again after work tonight!

Ripping through my pack of OPKs at the mo 😂 really excited to get my thermometer now as I'm intrigued to see how it correlates with the LH tests. Finding this all so fascinating!

ChinChilly · 04/11/2020 11:42

@crabette mine are similar, it is really diffult to pinpoint, forgot to mention the only other thing I keep an eye on is my RHR, I’ve attached my chart from my last cycle, it tends to behave in a similar way to temping, goes up around ovulation then drops when AF arrives!

@AMS19 I’m glad you said yours are 0% most of the time, mine are like that too!

@LauraT94 CD16 sounds about right, I got my peak at CD14 last cycle and CD18 the cycle before, so definitely test again later...I go through some packs of OPKs too, I normally get the cheapies from savers, may order them from amazon this time seen as we are having another lockdown!

@ChinChilly that's good they are regular!

All good here booked a private scan in 2 Sunday's time when I will be between 8-9 weeks plus a few days and still waiting on contact from midwives for booking appt which I'm not expecting until around 25th November... after all the focus on getting a BFP it's then very odd that no one seems to care about it until 12 weeks 🤷‍♀️😂

ChinChilly · 04/11/2020 12:12

How exciting @CharWils bet you can’t wait! I know I still find it so odd that the doctors don’t confirm the pregnancy with a blood test or anything!

crabette · 04/11/2020 12:48

@AMS19 Good to kno yours are the American! I don't use the percentage ones? Well actually I think I do, but I'm using natural cycles app so it doesn't read them 🙄 So I just eyeball it!

@ChinChilly That's really interesting about your RHR?! I'll maybe look at doing that too!

@LauraT94 I was like that a couple of months ago too - like totally intrigued by how it all actually works! It seems really bizarre to not have considered it before but there's literally a million things your body is just doing in the background every month. My mind was blown with the temperature thing... low BB temperature first half of the month, then dip just before ovulation, then high BB temperature post ovulation, before slowly coming back down for AF. Who knew?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@CharWils Congratulations!! 🥰 Must be so weird just to be ignoring it til 12 weeks lol 😂 I hadn't thought of this at all - what do you do once you do get a BFP?! Go to GP? Or do they even want to see you?

crabette · 04/11/2020 12:49

@AMS19 That's supposed to say good to know yours are the same 😂😂😂😂 What a politically current autocorrect!

ChinChilly · 04/11/2020 13:11

@crabette the RHR is interessting, apparently if it stays high it’s a good sign of a BFP, the good thing with the RHR, if you have a fitbit and you wear it to bed it literally does it all for you and puts it in a nice little chart 😂

crabette · 04/11/2020 13:29

@ChinChilly Oooh sounds like I should be all over that!! Seems like it basically correlates with BBT then? It's meant to be the same for that, if it stays high post ovulation it's a good sign of a BFP too - that's how a friend of mine predicted hers.Think I need to invest in an RHR fitbit... if only they recorded BBT too, then I could sleep through temping as well Grin

ChinChilly · 04/11/2020 13:33

It seems like it @crabette Mine has a faily clear pattern each month so I would personally say it is as reliable as BBT, I think the AVA braclet does both, not 100% sure on that though and I think the AVA is pricey

ChinChilly · 04/11/2020 13:35

@crabette Oh actually I think the new fitbit does do temperature, although it will be skin temp so not sure if that is the same as BBT, again it is pricey!

AMS19 · 04/11/2020 14:12

@ChinChilly @crabette premom numbers are %. I just use cheapies from amazon then scan into premom to get the %. Here are mine from this cycle if helpful

Kay00 · 04/11/2020 14:38

@AMS19 how are you feeling? At 9DPO do you have any symptoms? I have bloating and indigestion lol, but that might be all the pizza and cake I ate last night Grin. My temp went up again this morning though which was good Smile.

AMS19 · 04/11/2020 14:47

Ooo @Kay00 your chart is looking 👌 no nothing. Had constant nausea bit generally think it is in my head and not real. I'm put tonight for dinner and torn about drinking. Last weekend it made me feel awful, but given it is the lack night before lockdown, I really fancy a glass of wine! That is the only thing making me want to test...have you been tempted?!

Moocher90 · 04/11/2020 15:38

@Kay00 what does the luteal line in pink mean on your chart? Never seen that before. Still learning about FF and all the things it throws up

Kay00 · 04/11/2020 15:40

@AMS19 funnily enough I have no urge to test. In my first TWW I tested a few times, but in my gut I don't think its my month this time so that is putting me off testing. I had a shandy with some of my girl friends a couple of nights ago but on the whole I have been good... I don't think a glass of wine would do you any harm :)

I am feeling really bloated and I have bad indigestion though... and possible abdominal cramps, but as I said that could be the pizza I ate last night, or just my progesterone.

Kay00 · 04/11/2020 15:42

@Moocher90 Hmm... I'm not sure what it means, and i'm not entirely sure how I got it to appear on my chart Grin I think I ticked a box somewhere in the settings.

AMS19 · 04/11/2020 16:04

Yeah. I really dont think I am pregnant. In fact, I would go as far to say I'm pretty sure I'm not, so I'm just going to have a drink. I'll be more pissed off if I don't drink and get the inevitable BFN or AF. I'm pretty relaxed about it not happening this cycle, I'm just hoping AF stays away as long as possible so I have a decent LP, and I'll take this month as a win!

Trying4one · 04/11/2020 16:22

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all you ladies this month 🤞
Update from me - had my scan with EPAU and I am measuring at 7 weeks and saw a fetal pole with heartbeat ❤️ so happy that I could cry 🤣
I am hoping you ladies will be joining me soon

Juno231 · 04/11/2020 16:24

@kay00 @Moocher90 I think I mentioned the line in the last thread or maybe the start of this one? It's and option you can tick in the settings and basically gives you the cover line for your LP so it's easier to spot if your chart is going triphasic or not. At least that's what I think it's for 😂

AMS19 · 04/11/2020 16:24

Ahhh @Trying4one that is amazing ❤❤❤

Moocher90 · 04/11/2020 16:28

@Trying4one aww that’s such lovely news :) hopefully we all will be joining you in the coming months
