Congrats to any bfp's I missed, and hugs to anyone with af.
DH dropped off his sperm sample yesterday and I'm really surprised that apparently we get the results tomorrow, I thought it would be weeks going by what others have said.

How's everyone getting on?

13DPO and my temp and rhr are still sort of plodding along. Not sure when to expect AF now tbh as I was convinced it would show today!

@amy2503 well on the bright side we can be cycle buddies 😂

@Ladybird345 that sounds odd but I'm afraid I dont have any words of wisdom. All I can think of is that bleeding isn't that unusual in the first trimester and that it's positive that your lines were darker after the bleed. As for the light /dark fluctuation in lines - sounds like varying wee concentration to me, esp as has gone back to darker after a fainter line!

@minster2012 omg hiit before bedtime sounds like torture. Just tell him you can't outrun a bad diet next time he suggests something that brutal 😬.

I'm on my second day of trying out 18:6 intermittent fasting as I find I've been struggling to stick to my calorie count whilst living with BIL 😅

@AmesK my OH sounds very much like yours, he is all for it'll happen when the time is right and won't entertain the idea of the assisted route, although it's perhaps because we have 1 dd already. Are you trying for your first? Sorry if I missed your original story.

@Runnergirl1 I feel your pain on the isolating front; we got back from the Lake District Saturday night and Sunday morning woke up to an alert from track and trace saying I have to self isolate for 12 days 😬😬😬...2 days down, 10 to go. With a 2.5yr old to entertain it's going to be a long 12 days 😂😂

@Skip86 so sorry to hear AF has arrived, and even more so about OH's decision 😢 I echo what others said about taking each day as it comes, letting the dust settle and then maybe broaching the counselling route. But on an emotional level I am so sad for you and know nothing anyone says can stop the hurt but just know we are there for you in any way we can be but also understand if you can't stay 😘😘😘

@Florence13 no advice but just wanted to echo that men are twats and I totally get why you're upset.

Am pausing the catch up to get on with some more fun isolation hours not staring at my phone, I'm up to yesterday morning so apologies if anything I've said so far is out of date lol.

@Ladybird345 I am thinking pretty much the same as Juno. Hopefully it's not a chemical. In early days time of day, strength of urine would make a difference to line strength. The fact you can see some darkening after the bleed sounds promising. Will be thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed x

@Runnergirl1 god I feel ya, I nearly had the same last night after we got an email from DS nursery saying "a member of staff is positive" ...but it's ok as they were on holiday so actually weren't in so are just isolating and no one else has to. Thank god. 😬🙄

@Minster2012 tried a hiit class once, mostly legs, couldn't walk right for days 😂 I've also been thinking of 16:8 diet. Or at least staying out of the god damn biscuit press!!!

@katao ha it's fine but it will probably drop off a cliff tomorrow. I'd say that LP temps are sadly not a good indicator of BFP/BFN as they can be totally unpredictable! I do like that the second half of my LP temps all seem to be above the luteal line though, if I squint I can pretend it's a little bit triphasic lol!

@Newbie0818 Actually OH just said he might get his results as early as today! If not then Thursday at the latest.

@Katao I usually do a mixture of HIIT and really good Pilates it's just ive been lazy and then winter has come & BFN so I got all blurghhhhhhh I've just been feeling down but I need to BUCK UP and get on it (ask me again in a week 😂)

I'm out walking in the rain with the dogs trying to get DS to move bit he won't. Can't say I blame him. I'm really frustrated as we had started booking our activities at our (hopeful) rearranged Center Parcs trip end end nov last night having spent an hour and a half on the phone to them to sort out a mess up with mine and best friends lodges which are on same booking cos that's how they were originally booked back in the day in feb before rearranging when closed in April to now means we can't book our swimming slots together or anything etc. So spent last night booking pantomime for us. Restaurant for each of us to have date night etc. Sorted it last night and good news is we got an extra £100 off. HOWEVER late last night the news came through that notts will go into tier 3, do lockdown, you have to pay like £5 deposit for each thing. So will likely all get cancelled again now, we are in low risk bit currently so don't want to travel to a high risk & obviously wanting to do IVF again after nov period which would be around then so prob for the best. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I hate wasted time & fucking Covid we are all so done with it aren't we 😩😔

@Minster2012 aaaah that sounds so frustrating about center parcs! I'm sorry :( I'm also super jealous you only have 1.4kg to lose though! I asked OH last night if he was nervous about it and he didn't understand my question and said that's not a feeling that is relevant to this situation... seriously I do sometimes wonder if he's mildly autistic as he does seem to struggle with how human emotions work. He's terrible at reading other people's faces and does an eye thing that apparently can be quite common in people with eg aspergers (he basically stares at you with eyes wide open and doesn't blink - creeps people out but the thinks he's just maintaining normal eye contact lol).

Thank you ladies but I honestly think whatever it is it isn't good news. If I'm still having lines when I speak to the doctor I'll mention it but I think they'll be BFNs by then. I did a FRER last week but haven't done another since as the strip tests have changed so much, I have tried a couple of different brands though so know that whatever was/is there was a positive at one point. Haven't done the weeks indicator as I was waiting for a true line progression so I think it will be a BFN now as the test was so light today. Feeling pretty crappy today about it but I should stop feeling sorry for myself. Trying to not take tests all the time too 😳

@Juno231 I only need to lose 1.4kg cos I lost the rest earlier on in the year after Xmas & BFP then lockdown /MMC when I basically ate nothing & got only calories from alcohol & went in a spiral/cycle of depression & massive "let's do shitloads of exercise" to try & focus on something after miscarriage but wasn't really eating much. Then after this BFN have basically done fuck all! My BIL is like your DH btw & DH's family & my SIL thinks he's mildly Austistic regarding emotions but he's super clever but can't read emotions or connect much emotionally.

@lucyrp that was basically my whole day yesterday. Having nothing to show for it. I kept saying to myself "what have you actually achieved today" and getting really frustrated 😂🤷‍♀️🤔

May have just spent a bit of Xmas money on DS on frugi clothes so in case anyone wants any and hadn't ever ordered here's my referral code so new ppl can get a free tote bag (and I can too)

@Juno231 I was doing 20:4 fasting before, I lost weight but I binged after because of the restriction 😩 I find I need a very organised day of food to stick to it and breakfast is definitely needed to make me feel fuller during the day! Good luck with it, losing weight is hard lol but we can do this!

@Minster2012 @Juno231 hiit classes destroyed my knee 😬 did loads in 2017, way too much and am now paying for it. My body was amazing then though hahaha, but now I can't even burpee and I actually loved burpees. Speaking of autism I have always said I think my OH is mildly autistic, he has no cue how to connect with people on an emotionally level and even in social situations is quite quiet. It's cute but when he isn't understanding my emotions or what I'm saying because I'm hurt, it's very frustrating and he literally does not it get it no matter how I explain it. Lol yay to the autistic ohs
Minster in regards to the sample he couldn't care less lol he used to work in a lab as a scientist so to him it's very much part of a process, and he loves processes hahah and yeah you're super lucky you just have 1.4kg to lose!!! Realistically I need to lose like 20kg but even with 10kg off im solid because of muscle mass. This week I lost 6 pounds so I'm doing well just have to stick to it and not fall off as I normally do 😅😁

@Missgoldilocks well I'm only on day 2 but so far I'm liking 18:6. I think having milky teas, coffees and snacking on fruit actually adds on a fair bit of cals for me that then make it difficult for me to maintain 1200 cals for a deficit. We'll see though, I always end up losing motivation. Well done for 6lbs down though!! That's super good Grin.

I've set myself a goal of 69 kg for xmas - can I please use you ladies to keep myself accountable? Let me know if it's triggering for any of though!

Oh god I started so well being healthy in sept but teaching stress has just turned my diet upside down again hah. I need the motivation, it's so annoying because DH seems to get hotter with age and I just turn into this spotty, flabby mass. You can do it!

@Minster2012 nope, he's all good, he can cum at the drop of a hat haha. Useful for ttc.

@Juno231 1200 calories is really really low and can be hard to maintain for a long period of time! Obviously I don't know your stats though. I wanted to do 1200 out of sheer desperation to lose quickly lol but I can't I'm doing 1800 and gym 5 days a week, we could do it together and hold each other accountable! I really want to stick to it and get down again at least then if I do get preggo I won't be as big after x

@Missgoldilocks yeah that's why i struggle with it tbh. Anything over and the scales stand still though! My total daily energy expenditure is 1750cals so to lose just 1lb/week I need a daily 500 cal deficit... takes me to 1250! The hardest part for me is dinners with OH. When it was just me it was much easier to have a light dinner or something random like beans on toast - with him it's always a proper meal.

@Newbie0818 yeah I guess it's just smoothed over atm? I sent him a link to read yesterday which he did and he was all lovey dovey and apologetic yday. He even came to my office to take me on a lunch time walk and went home early from work to do my dinner prep for me (he can't cook so never gets involved usually). He even held my hand all evening when watching TV!

Not tracking has actually been a lovely break mentally but I've had a metallic taste in my mouth all morning so here I ho now into symptom spotting phase 🙈 I assume I'm in the tww by noelw but as my cycles are so irregular I really don't know what point I'm at aside from cd20.

@Juno231 @lucyrp @Missgoldilocks I find it so hard to calorie count I'm stood here eating leftovers from last night which DS has refused today but gobbled you're last night, is vegan Mac n cheese (obs no cheese, butternut squash) & salad. No idea how many calories so I give up on that so easily. Meh. Toddler demanded bread 😂
I don't mind HIIT but will do Pilates tonight
