@xoJellyBean argh how frustrating for you :( I too am awaiting confirmation of ov. It's so long isn't it :/ how are you feeling?

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 09/12/2020 11:44

@Newbie0818 this month is not a good one!! Lol I’m ok, feeling annoyed and frustrated... can’t shake it 😭 how are you? What CD are you now?

justlonelystars · 10/12/2020 09:53

Hope everyone is well! How’s it going @Neurotic90? Have been thinking of you!

Neurotic90 · 10/12/2020 11:47

I've not been getting notifications for this thread for some reason, sorry to see you're both having a hard time @Newbie0818 and @xoJellyBean. I think its a difficult time of year too.

I'm doing ok thanks @justlonelystars, been very sick but got some good advice from a hyperemesis thread on here that's helped to ease it a bit. How are you?

justlonelystars · 10/12/2020 12:03

@Neurotic90 I’m good thanks! Just had my 12 week scan so I’m feeling pretty happy today :)
Bless you with the sickness, it’s not much fun and I’m still being sick. Hope you feel better soon, take care of yourself!
Likewise @xoJellyBean and @Newbie0818, sorry to hear you’re both having tough times. I hope 2021 is your year Flowers

Neurotic90 · 10/12/2020 13:25

That's wonderful @justlonelystars, can't believe you're 12 weeks already! We had an early scan last weekend, got to see a heartbeat which was so lovely and reassuring. I hope the sickness passes soon for you now you're getting into the 2nd trimester, it's definitely not much fun but it will be worth it!

Thinking of you too @Suki2020, hope you all get a little Christmas miracle this year!

Newbie0818 · 10/12/2020 17:40

@xoJellyBean aww sorry it's been rubbish.
I'm ok, first fertility consultation tomorrow morning 🤞🏼

Thanks everyone x

Yay @xoJellyBean!

So we've just had the apt and it's looking positive. Basically, the GP didn't tell the full truth the first time around when explaining DH's SA results, and it turns out he has NO normally shaped sperm, so a pregnancy wouldn't happen.

He's been out on some supplements, and if no change in 3 months they will refer us straight to IVF.

Surprisingly my pcos didn't cause much concern as she said there's no point me going on any meds etc if the sperm is an issue. So if his sperm comes back ok, I'll be put on Clomid, and if that doesn't work after 3-6 months, they'll pop us through for ivf.

Ivf seems to be our route, and it was what I wanted so I'm happy. But here's hoping I get lucky before then anyway 🤞🏼✨👶🏽

Neurotic90 · 11/12/2020 12:59

I'm so glad you got some answers and a plan going forward @Newbie0818, it must be a weight off your shoulders to finally know what's going on. How frustrating the GP wasn't upfront with you both though!

Keeping everything crossed that the supplements work and you get lucky before having to go down the route of IVF.

Pol96 · 11/12/2020 13:57

@xoJellyBean yay for Ovulation! X

@Newbie0818 so glad you're finally getting some answers! I have everything crossed for you x

justlonelystars · 11/12/2020 14:24

@Newbie0818 must be such a relief to have answers and know that things are in motion now! Fingers crossed for you!!

Newbie0818 · 11/12/2020 16:01

Thank you ladies, to be honest I would just like to start the ivf ASAP as I really can't wait anymore 😭👶🏽 and I really don't want to be in clomid etc if it's futile. Hopefully things will fall into place :) x

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 13/12/2020 21:07

@Newbie0818 so really in about 6 months you could be starting your ivf journey!! How exciting. 🥰🥰

I'm 7dpo and not feeling positive yet again 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

@Pol96 how's you?

Newbie0818 · 14/12/2020 06:27

@xoJellyBean yes! Although she said if there's no improvement in 3 months she'll apply for the funding 🙌🏼
It's so hard to remain positive isn't it, you kindve train yourself up for disappointment as it's easier. Let's hope you get some happy news next week 🤞🏼✨

I think I may have ovulated yesterday but waiting on confirmation.

How's everyone else? X

Suki2020 · 14/12/2020 08:16

Morning ladies, sorry I’ve been quiet been crazy busy at work. I’m still waiting for ovulation on CD29 now.
@Newbie0818 that’s good news that something is now moving for you. Hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later for you. Can I ask you why you’re not keen to take clomid?
@xoJellyBean great news that you’ve ovulated fingers crossed this is your cycle. That would be the best news for Christmas

Pol96 · 14/12/2020 08:30

@xoJellyBean hopefully it's going to work and you'll have a lovely Christmas surprise!
I honestly didn't expect to be pregnant yet, let alone this pregnant after 2 years off the pill(not preventing anything for around a year of that to see what happened - how nieve I was 🙄)
I'm okay thank you. Waddling along now 😂 34+4 today and my next midwife appointment is tomorrow and then starting on the raspberry leaf tea to help with labour next week 👀.(hopefully it helps! It's supposed to make your uterus work better during labour) uncomfortable, excited and fed up.. And majorly impatient for him to be here now! 💙 X

@Newbie0818 so exciting! hopefully you'll be having a 2021/ 2022 baby!! X

lucyrp · 14/12/2020 11:19

@Pol96 raspberry leaf tea helps so much! I drank it from 36 weeks and DS was born at 38+5 that was combined with bouncing up and down on my fitness ball too! Good luck 🥰💓

lucyrp · 14/12/2020 11:22

I'm on a few threads which some of you are on too so may have seen but if not I got my BFP at 13dpo this cycle. Has been the shortest cycle I've had in 9 months and I started taking the seven seas ttc tablets this month to shorten and regulate my cycles. This cycle would have been 39 days and ovulation at 25. I also drank grapefruit juice from CD1 until ovulation along with taking EPO. This was month 16 ttc for me🥰

@lucyrp Congratulations!!! So happy for you!
How does the tea taste?? I've heard mixed reviews! I have my ball in the living room too 😁 really hoping I can encourage him to come early! X

lucyrp · 14/12/2020 11:57

@Pol96 thank you! Umm not very nice tbh 🤣 I used to wait for it to cool down and then neck it 😂🙉 although I didn't like herbal teas then and I do now so we'll see how it is this time round! When I had my ball I tried mot to sit on the sofa when watching tv and just sit on my ball instead! I'm sure you will get bouncing and doing those hip circles ! X

Pol96 · 14/12/2020 12:19

@lucyrp I like minty herbal teas and the raspberry leaf tea I've bought has mint in so 🤞I need to use the ball more but Spd sometimes makes it too uncomfortable.. My antenatal class is all about rotating to dilate! X

Neurotic90 · 14/12/2020 12:37

Congratulations @lucyrp!

Good luck for the coming weeks @Pol96, hopefully baby doesn't keep you waiting too long!

Newbie0818 · 14/12/2020 12:52

@Suki2020 just because of the side effects I've heard about. Also the doctor said there's no point if dh is the issue.

@Pol96 let's hope so 🤞🏼🤞🏼✨
