New thread just in case the old one gets full and we lose each other!

Hi all, would it be okay if I popped into the thread this late in the day?

I had my copper coil out in January, for the past 2 years my cycles have been all over the place! Ranging from 25 (very randomly last July!) to 59, but mostly 38-45 days...

I don't think I ovulate properly, last month I tried soy isoflavones for the first time and my body tried to ovulate around CD18 but then actually did on CD27 (same symptoms both times but with ovulation spotting the 2nd time which I don't normally get!).

No idea what will happen this month (using soy again) but its our first cycle actively TTC/doing SMEP... I have OPKs but will likely be using them for at least 2 weeks waiting and waiting for an OPK...!

I've loved reading all 3 of these threads over the past few weeks and feeling not alone in the confusion and stress of long cycles

I have a DS who is 6 but my cycles were regular back then, and I was younger and thinner...! This would be DH's first

My sister in law has just fallen pregnant accidentally, she told us today & is currently 12 weeks. I have a sore head from crying... I just wish it was me 😢

I'm currently CD9 and as of this morning having my usual ovulation symptoms... after soy didn't bring my ov date forward last cycle I'm very surprised! I took it days 2-6 instead of 3-7 this time. Will have to do an OPK when I get home from work...

DH seems a little worried about performing under pressure so if I am ovulating this coming week I'll let him keep thinking it's all practice runs

@katewitch this timing is shit because I've got af cramps now!!! 😓 gonna be a rough emotional weekend I'd say lol

Oh yay! That great - time to get busy 🙈 I know what got mean about OH, mine would be the same although we are going to try SMEP next month and see how we go :) I've also got my bloods booked! How long are your cycles?

They can be anything from 36 to 59 over the past year - last summer I had a couple that were 20-something days but that didn't last! Usually about 44

I doubt it will end in ov any time soon but you never know I guess

Hey @xoJellyBean sorry for the late reply been crazy busy with work. How you feeling today? Sorry to hear you had a tough day yesterday.
I had more bloods done yesterday for thyroid and progesterone, so hopefully get the results on Tuesday.

@xoJellyBean bless you, every announcement is so so difficult, I feel your heartbreak. It's horrible to feel so sad when others are so happy but it will be you one day I promise x

@Suki2020 that's good news on the bloods! I hope you get some answers. Are you still on clomid?

@Justanothercyster yeah on my third round of clomid now, have three more left. Also have another appointment with the gynaecologist end of may to say what happens next. How are you doing?

@xoJellyBean that’s good that your having blood done. I had my bloods done again last week and my thyroid has come down with is great and my progesterone level was good so I defiantly ovulated this cycle. I’m 11dpo now.

@Suki2020 omg that's brill!! Hope it's your month. Any symptoms?

@xoJellyBean just sore boobs but I get that every cycle so nothing different. Temp dropped quite a lot this morning to although still above the cover line I think my period will arrive tomorrow or sat.

@Suki2020 hope it doesn't 🤞🏻 we are gonna try SMEP this month & randomly my GP suggested morning sex during ov lol

@xoJellyBean AF arrived for me yesterday so on to the next cycle. Fingers crossed that works for you. What cd are you on now?

@xoJellyBean I was really low yesterday as I thought I might have had a chance that cycle as boobs were sore a lot more and lasted a lot longer but that could be just were I’m now on thyroxine and my hormones are levelling out. Work is keeping my busy so that helps. How you feeling about this cycle with doing SMEP?

@Suki2020 I'm sure :( are you feeling better now? I was the same when af arrived, I cried three days in a row and my hubby was starting to freak out lol think it's cause his sister is accidentally pregnant.

I'm just willing to try anything now - think we are starting the plan tonight, due to ov around day 18 🤞🏻 have you ever tried it?

@Justanothercyster congrats on the house move. Although stressful from what I remember 5yrs ago lol.
@xoJellyBean yeah we tried it for two cycles and no luck so just went back to every other day until around ovulation time and then did every day at ovulation. But it’s hard for me as I have no set pattern to my cycles so never ovulate same time. I gave in and had a few glasses of wine last night, I stopped drinking at Christmas but last night thought sod it, it hasn’t worked so why not. How you feeling?

@Suki2020 you're just right, sometimes just need a wee treat🍷. TTC has made me feel all sorts, I'm having a big of body dysmorphia right now and hating my body for all sorts of reasons including the fact I haven't been able to conceive🙄 think I need to take up running or something lol need a distraction. Maybe this month will be positive for us both xx

Hello ladies, how are you all doing? Hope those of you having a rough time of it at the moment are being kind to yourselves

I'm currently experiencing an oestrogen rise... I get very, um... sensitive? when this happens, usually around ovulation but OPKs are now resolutely blank. I'm hoping that it's the mid-luteal phase oestrogen rise that would be due exactly now if I'm right about ovulation, hopefully that's a good sign!

My subconscious has decided I'm 100% pregnant so managing expectations and symptom spotting is just a disaster area for me right now

For anyone doing the SMEP, I've always had irregular and/or long cycles and that's how I conceived my DS so I'll keep everything crossed that it's just as successful for you

@katewitch oooh let's hope your subconscious is on to something and you get your bfp this month 🤞🏻☺️ when is af due??

That's great to hear about the SMEP! We were supposed to start last night but I fell asleep🤣🙄 will start today and go from there 🤩 my OPKs are currently BLANK but I've got roughly 7 days until ov 🤣 please keep me sane!

@xoJellyBean if I'm right about ovulation it's due Monday! If I was wrong then this is my fertile week so still planning to DTD just in case I've been exhausted this week so far so haven't managed any yet... but back on it tonight.

It's a lot of effort doing SMEP but so so worth it if it works! Just make the most of the rest days when you're in the EOD stage

Well ladies my peak OPK has finally arrived 🤣 time to get busy & get my day 21 bloods booked for next week!
