@RBCoxie af is due next Sunday, so I don’t know what to think, don’t want to get my hopes up or down 😂

BellaBella84 · 25/10/2020 12:16

@HollowayL31 I'm glad he's feeling better. Sorry to keep banging on, but is it a confirmed case by your GP? Because measles is a notifiable disease with a long incubation period and is super infectious. How many people do you think he's come into contact with in the last 2 weeks?

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 12:19

@Marri1995 I've just been having a quick look on Ava Women (which has actually made me feel loads better about my cramping - it's normal when there are high levels of progesterone - yay!) and the average implantation day is 9DPO - it can happen earlier but it's rare, so I wouldn't be too disheartened yet so I would try to hold off until you're a few more days DPO. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 I'm praying our pre-seed technique has helped us! 😂x

Marri1995 · 25/10/2020 12:27

Yeah I’m going to try and hold of until middle of next week now, I get 5 pregnancy tests from home bargains for £1.00 so I just test for the sake of it.
How many days dpo are you @RBCoxie

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 12:32

@Marri1995 that's amazing value! Nothing wasted by testing early then! I'm only 6DPO today so way too early to test - even for me! 😂

tigertummy · 25/10/2020 12:42

Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday. My spotting is worse today so looks like AF has crept up on me early this cycle. Gutted

Supermathsdoc · 25/10/2020 13:09

@hollowayL31 oh no measles?? thats awful. Hope he doesn't have too bad a time of it and makes a fast recovery....

@Marri1995 8DPO is still very early, I know how you feel and it is gutting, but maybe test again in 2 days if no AF?

I feel very pre-menstrual today, which is so mad because yesterday i had totally convinced myself I was pregnant. I should be used to it by now but around this time every cycle my mind and body seem to gang up & give me hard time!

MummyToPrince · 25/10/2020 14:28

@Marri1995 don't be too disheartened it is still early I'm due af a day after you according to my Premom app :-)

@RBCoxie have your pains subsided a bit? How are you feeling?

@tigertummy I'm sorry af might be making an early entrance, could it be implantation?

@Supermathsdoc don't bee fooled with AF symptoms, with my son I was so adamant that af was coming as I had that feeling that I was about to bleed and I never did :-)

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 14:42

@MummyToPrince I haven't had the sharp pain for a while but I've got dull AF like cramps the majority of the time - not as bad as last night by a long way, but still definitely there. Frustrating 😔 how're you? x

tigertummy · 25/10/2020 14:51

@MummyToPrince it's been a few days now and it definitely getting heavier! Plus I'm an emotional wreck today so yeh I think it's on the way.

robodo · 25/10/2020 15:36

Oh guys I feel so bad I did the 13 hour night shift last night and had a few coffees and lucosade and I feel so guilty now, I feel like I'm failing already 😭

MummyToPrince · 25/10/2020 15:40

@RBCoxie I can imagine it is frustrating bless you, hopefully it's not af though as she would be really early, I have everything crossed for you x

@tigertummy I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok x

OP posts:
Supermathsdoc · 25/10/2020 15:42

@MummyToPrince oh wow. I really hope it’s the same for me!

@tigertummy oh no that’s so gutting, I hope it turns out not to be x

@RBCoxie interesting about the cramping and progesterone, I have the same! but I guess you get a progesterone rise either way, it’s just that if you’re pregnant it continues to rise rather than falling when you get AF? I think this is why literally anything can be a symptom of either. Which is just inconsiderate of our bodies frankly x

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 16:23

@MummyToPrince yeah it's really frustrating - I was feeling better when I read the progesterone thing as they had died down a bit but now they've come back again in full force. It's genuinely like I'm on day 1 of AF so every time I pee I'm expecting it to be there. I know it could be anything but it's really messing with my head!

@Supermathsdoc are yours the same sort of feeling?! Totally - a progesterone rise at this stage doesn't mean anything I don't think! 😩

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 16:27

@robodo sorry didn't see your message before! Much easier said that done but try not to worry - a lot of people don't even know they're pregnant at your stage and will do a lot worse 😊 x

MummyToPrince · 25/10/2020 16:50

@RBCoxie I honestly do hope she doesn't turn up! It's crap that your feeling this way :-(

@robodo you feel bad for having a few coffees babe there's people out there taking harsh drugs while pregnant, do not feel guilty over a coffee :-) x

Supermathsdoc · 25/10/2020 16:56

@rbcoxie It sounds pretty similar to what you are describing:

On sat (8DPO) I felt a sharp pain on the left side which I convinced myself was implantation obvs (was probably wind). Then not much else throughout the day but last night I had a strange heavy/crampy feeling lower down. I found it hard to sleep because of a combination of imaging how amazing it would be to be an actual mother, and then AF type cramps.

I don't think there's a single 9DPO symptom post I haven't read at this stage. Entertaining myself with the drama of MN posts circa 2011 as we speak. The absolute worst is when they have all your symptoms and then you get to the end of the thread and they never say whether they were pregnant or not!!

I suspectI need a night out.

Supermathsdoc · 25/10/2020 17:13

@robodo so sorry I also missed your message! Im reading this book by Emily Oster called 'expecting better' which i would totally recommend and it gives you all the real evidence behind the recommendations made to women around pregnancy.

Essentially in the book she explains that the evidence for stopping caffeine is really flawed and that there is no evidence of harm unless you have a sustained period of drinking serious amounts.

I think definitely be kind to yourself, you are amazing and you've got this!

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 18:04

@Supermathsdoc yeah that's exactly it! I know it's too early for me to be feeling anything pregnancy related, I just can't believe how similar the cramps are! Oh I love reading the really old MN posts 😂 wonder what they're all up to know with their 9/10 years olds!

Agreed on the night out. OH suggested a bottle of prosecco tonight as I'm feeling so crappy - I would but I end up feeling so guilty! Ridiculous I know. I'm the worlds worst overthinker and worrier...in case you hadn't got that already 😂😂

Supermathsdoc · 25/10/2020 18:13

@RBCoxie I was the same on Friday, my partner bought a bottle to celebrate me getting the job, but in the end we went to a fancy bar so we wouldn't end up drinking a whole bottle!

I am very much in the 'drink til its pink' camp, not least because the restrictions take their toll on me if there's repeatedly no BFP at the end. I totally get why people don't though as well - eliminating sources of worry is a legit strategy!

Is anyone testing tomorrow?

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 19:28

@Supermathsdoc sounds like a great way to celebrate! I have instead eaten my body weight in chocolate. Having stomach cramps for a whole new reason now 😂

BettyM90 · 25/10/2020 20:56

I think I may have hit my peak yesterday! Either that or my hormones are all over the place!

Eyes On The Fries 🤞
BellaBella84 · 25/10/2020 21:03

Argh! I've have completely lost count of how many times I've checked my phone today to see which CD I'm on. It's still CD25, it's been CD25 all day! Two more mornings of not testing then I can pee on a stick. It's not complicated! I think the only hope for me is to go completely off grid in a yurt, in a field, in the middle of nowhere! 🤣

RBCoxie · 25/10/2020 21:18

@BettyM90 that's great news!! Time to DTD!! Keeping everything crossed for you.

@BellaBella84 today has felt like the longest day! I've spent all day working out how I can make the time go quicker. Like when doing any form of exercise '20 minutes..that's two lots of 10 minutes...that's 4 lots of 5 minutes' - I've been doing the same thing with days 'if I can get to Friday then it's the weekend which goes quicker, so that's 5 days..so get through Monday then it's only 4 days...'. I feel like a psycho. 😂

BellaBella84 · 25/10/2020 21:30

@RBCoxie I walked across town to pick up some free vegetables, and it was a gorgeous day, and I felt serene and at one with the world. I stopped and had delicious organic locally roasted coffee in my keep cup in the park, and was (as my colleague would say) "f*cking Zen mate"! 2 and a half hours that took! Just 2 and a half hours before I was back to cleaning the fridge with a toothbrush 🙄
