Sorry to read this @Mrsbear1122 I hope you're doing ok xx

@lucyrp just had a quick read of it too, it's nice getting other women's view points on it.

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 17:48

@notyetamumbuttrying it just says click here and when I try to click it there's no link. For some reason I cnst get on the actual mums net site either so I have to use the app

lucyrp · 22/10/2020 17:49

@notyetamumbuttrying although one of them wasn't "ttc" as such and the other two got pregnant in 2 and 5 months 🤣😫🙈

Franklydear · 22/10/2020 18:02

Hi all
I had a quiet day at work so my bestie boy spent the day making me laugh, he has no idea what was up anyway... I don't tell him these things, DH sent me with a yummy lunch, si not so bad, what a terrible day for so many of us, a loss? 😪
I like the new title, @Skip86
I am going to do the same this cycle, try to ignore until af due, 22 Nov for next testing date @Juno231

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 18:10

Yeah get on the app @Missgoldilocks it's all ever use! Far more handy.
@lucyrp yeah I did wonder about that lol! I was expecting 12+ months and perhaps something on male factor but nada. It all looked quite textbook really 😬

AmesK · 22/10/2020 18:11

@notyetamumbuttrying Thanks hun :) I’m waiting for them to refer me, apparently they’ll see me ‘after covid’! Whatever that means Confused

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 18:48

Jeez @AmesK I hope they don't cos when the hell will that end?! I'm still waiting on mine as well, I guess Covid is the hold up. Dh got his referral through for urology in no time, but no sign of the fertility clinic one yet.

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 18:50

@notyetamumbuttrying no I mean I'm on the app and it's not working so I tried the website version and for some reason I can't access the website let alone the link lol so I have no clue

lucyrp · 22/10/2020 18:53

@notyetamumbuttrying I do follow the carys that was speaking on there anyway and she's done a big ttc journey on YouTube and she said she'd been trying for a while and then she said it was 5 months the other day and I was like humph 🙄

Vil10 · 22/10/2020 19:05

Ahhh I'm so sorry for anyone who's af has shown today😩 seems like there's a few of us around the same point!!

Okay so, I'm hoping obviously I never get to the ivf point, but if you have been TTC for a year and no luck, and you get tests, what happens then? Do you pay for the treatment? Because when I've googled it it says you have to have been trying for 2 years..

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 19:10

@Missgoldilocks look into ABC on MN, the name rings a bell and I'm not too sure for good reasons tbh m. I'm totally in sync with you & your sister too then as well! Waiting on next AF to start again!

@AmesK keep pushing girl, keep pushing. Years of NHS treatment has taught me as the patient you have to keep fighting I'm afraid 😩😘

@Kirky658 that's great about your hubby tomorrow, perfect! And yeah @2alreadywantanother our dogs are the same with their crates, they take themselves to the crates if they want time or just to chill & my pointer will still whinge & cry if she's not in her crate whereas she is fine in her crate @Kirky658 we did a routine like walk, play, wee, crate time, train/play, wee, crate time etc

@Mrsbear1122 im so sorry. What a crap day all round. 😩sending massive hugs your way that's horrible after getting your letters through xxx

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 19:11

@Vil10 as far as I'm aware if under 35 for IVF it's still 2 years unless there's a bigger medical reason like my chemo

Vil10 · 22/10/2020 19:24

@Minster2012 oh god what😩 so 2 whole years, I always thought it was 1, well that's depressing!!

@Mrsbear1122 oh I'm so sorry!! We're here for you ❤️

Katao · 22/10/2020 19:26

@Mrsbear1122 I'm so sorry to hear about your loss x

AmesK · 22/10/2020 19:36

@notyetamumbuttrying Glad your hubby’s urology appointment has come through! At least that’s something! Yeah, when he told me they will wait for covid, I just thought ‘hang on mate, is there something you know that the rest of the world doesn’t, because when will this end?!?’ Grin

@Minster2012 Thanks for the support hun, I think I need to hear things like this and to keep being encouraged because I really have hit a new low today. Shall I ring them up again?

AmesK · 22/10/2020 19:37

@Mrsbear1122 Awww sorry to hear about your loss. Sending lots of love xxx

Newbie0818 · 22/10/2020 20:07

Omg I had THE WORST cramps with af last night, got up and had to take painkillers galore and hot water bottle back to bed, literally SO PAINFUL. I do wonder if I have endometriosis with my pcos as they're quite common together :( that would explain month after month of no bfp...
on a positive note I'm thrilled that my cycle was only 36 days long! I know that might seem long to others but for me it's super short 🤞🏼💕

What a shitty day for af, seems everyone is struggling! Thank goodness we have such an amazing group for support on here ❤️❤️❤️

@Juno231 thanks lovely, no wine for me as I'm not really a drinker, but lots of chocolate!

@Katao @blackcurrantqueen thanks lovelies x

@Franklydear sorry about af x

@Missgoldilocks I feel you girl! It's SO FUCKING ANNOYING. Like what else can we possibly do?!?! Makes you feel useless and hopeless and broken. Just have to believe it will happen one day 💕 I feel like I just want ivf too although experiences sound awful and painful :(

@AmesK sorry about af :( hugs x and that's a shorty response from the nhs, throw the NICE guidelines at them because after 24 months they HAVE TO HELP!

@Mrsbear1122 so sorry love :( x

@Kirky658 @Minster2012 @2alreadywantanother we crate trained too! I'd never done it with our family dogs and thought "ooh that's horrible". Honestly, best thing we could have done. Toilet trained super quick compared to others of his breed, sleeps perfect at night and feels safe.

@Vil10 1 year if you have a known fertility issue like me, at least that's a bonus 😂 2 years is awfully long though, totally feel everyone's pain.

2020mission · 22/10/2020 20:12

@Newbie0818 I feel your pain, I can't survive without co-codamol on day 1 of AF! My body is messing with my this cycle and has decided to spot at CD17. Usually only spot in the few days before AF or about CD13-14 around ovulation 😑

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 20:19

@AmesK I would go further than that and I would phone and ask for their email to follow a complaints procedure for a referral for fertility investigations & IVF as per NICE guidelines as there has been no action

lucyrp · 22/10/2020 20:33

@AmesK you totally need to complain as @Minster2012 said. She helped me compose a complaints email to my surgery as everything was really slow and I've now got my referral but they said it can take 6 weeks ish normally but with Covid might be longer so I'm ringing them at 6 weeks again to see what's going on xx

Kirky658 · 22/10/2020 20:33

@newbie0818 I have endometriosis so any questions just shout... Had my second surgery in June, stage 3/4 so pretty bad. Endo sucks!!!! Pain during sex was my main symptom and as a result my sex drive is at an all time low as I now associate it with pain...

Anyways had a nice eve, DH had to work late due to an open eve at school (who does that the night before half term?!?) so I popped to see my parents, they fed me chippy tea and wine so feeling a little tipsy for a Thursday but struggling to care 😁 both know we are TTC so mum there for hugs. Question - does anyone close to you know you're TTC? We told both sets of parents and my closest friends due to me having endo, we expect it to be a difficult road..

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 20:33

@Missgoldilocks oh I see! What a ball ache 😖
@lucyrp highly annoying then!
@Vil10 yeah it's two years on the nhs which is why I'm going private.

@AmesK yeah defo! Haha yeah exactly 😂
@Newbie0818 the pain is so bad isn't it! I double dose on day 2 to get through. I feel for you hun! X

Mrsbear1122 · 22/10/2020 20:54

Thanks girls ☺️ on a positive note, means DH swimmers are fine, and I have been ovulating...so we are optimistic if will happen for us soon, just gotta stick next time! Read that chemical pregnancies are common but unlikely to have 2 losses in a row...so keeping 🤞 next one is the lucky one!

AmesK · 22/10/2020 20:58

@Minster2012 and @lucyrp You’re so right! I knew about the NICE guidelines as I had just recently read them through a lockdown induced panic but wasn’t sure how much I should push. I shall email them and ask re:complaints because I feel so fobbed off. I understand that everything is difficult because of covid but this consultant really did act like he couldn’t care less :(

@Newbie0818 Thanks for being on my side Grin I shall follow up tomorrow and see what they say. Also I’m sorry your period is so painful :( Endo sucks and can be very debilitating so I’m hoping you don’t have to deal with that! Sending you lots of love 💓 (Also snap, our cycles seem to be the same length 😂) Have lots of chocolate (for me as well) xxx

AmesK · 22/10/2020 21:05

Also weird question that I hoping someone will be able to help with. Does anyone get bleeding in the follicular phase of their cycle? Or could know what it means?

I’ve found that without fail, like clockwork, on the fourth day after the last day of AF, I start bleeding. And I’ll have a good amount of blood, enough to stain a pad (TMI sorry bleurgh) and this will go on for a week- occasionally on alternate days and occasionally for the whole week. It doesn’t feel like proper AF blood, it’s brighter, thinner, less dark and heavy but it’s a bleed for sure. And the weird thing is that it happens like clockwork.

I asked my consultant what this could be and whether this was affecting my fertility and his exact words were ‘ I don’t know, maybe not, I’m not sure’ . How reassuring Hmm

Anyone have any idea what this is and whether I need to worry about it? Day 2 and 21 bloods are fine but I’m worried this is something that’s adding to my problems. (Internet search shows lots of people talking about luteal phase bleeding/spotting but none talking about follicular phase)

It would be great if anyone could help! Xxx
