@amesk feeling your pain hun, day 2 over here and I'm so heavy it's just bleurgh!

@minster2012 @juno231 I think our puppy is suffering from separation anxiety. He's great until we put him to bed in the day, then he cries for ten mins or so. He just will not settle down. Just took for a walk, put him back in bed as I need to get some work done and off he goes... I have zero motivation for work today but that's beside the point! It's weird because he's so good at night, goes to bed at 9:30pm and sleeps through and doesn't have any accidents so at 12 wks old think I should count my blessings!

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 13:52

@lucyrp ha are you really logging everything and using food scales? Be careful of things like how much oil/butter you put in the pan before frying stuff as that can add loads of cals to a dish. Oh and don't eat your calories back unless you're doing some hard core exercise!

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 13:54

@AmesK I'm so sorry! Remind me if you've gone down the medical route already if it's been 24 months?

OP posts:
lucyrp · 22/10/2020 13:56

@Juno231 yep doing similar to what I was in slimming world, I got to a standstill with slimming world and couldn't lose anymore no matter how much exercise I was doing and little syns I was eating. My fitness pal keeps telling me I will have lost so and so pounds in so many weeks and I haven't lost anything !

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 13:59

@lucyrp how many cals is it telling you to eat daily? I'm only on 1250 and I find if I go over at all my weight just doesn't budge. Up your water intake maybe?

OP posts:
lucyrp · 22/10/2020 14:01

@Juno231 I'm around 11.4 normally and it says 1500 to maintain or 1300 to lose 1 pound a week and I eat about 1250 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 14:35

@lucyrp what is going on with your body?!?!

OP posts:
lucyrp · 22/10/2020 14:41

@Juno231 I don't know 😫 weird isn't it ?!

Katao · 22/10/2020 14:47

@Missgoldilocks that's hard. Especially when there is no explanation. I hope looking into IVF gives you some power and control over things but mostly I hope you don't need it. Sorry about the slow reply x

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 14:49

@Kirky658 on the puppy that's so good for the night! For the day are you meaning in a crate for bed? I would try tiring it out a bit more with brain exercises by training like trying sit stay straight away with bits of cheese for rewards then going into crate/bed as it's more draining than just a walk

Sorry having to flit in and out

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 14:52

@AmesK sending so much love hun. It's such a hard hard thing. Can you get referred for IVF?

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 14:53

@Minster2012 oh maybe I need to look properly they are probably trying to sucker punch me by drawing my attention then when I have an appointment with them they'll be like no honey that was just an advertisement ploy cackle

Sorry everyone else is feeling like shit too looks like we have a load of cd1s today haha

@notyetamumbuttrying I can't see the link for some reason I'll go on the actual website version and see if it allows me to open it x

Kirky658 · 22/10/2020 14:58

@minster2012 in the day he's just in his bed area, we've basically put him a bit of the kitchen that's his blocked by a baby gate (who knows maybe that could be useful when I eventually get pg 😂).

He does seem to love training, he's learned to sit, come when called and wait so he's done quite well! I'll keep on with that I think.

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 14:58

@Missgoldilocks no it could be right, just ask for a full breakdown of what it includes & I can compare it and you will know from your sis too what's involved. I genuinely mean it could be really good! How's she getting on?

Minster2012 · 22/10/2020 15:01

That's brilliant for that age @Kirky658 and yes we got baby gates for the dogs way before a baby as I did dog sitting too! Sorry I just meant the last thing you do before he's meant to sleep each time is the brain stuff. Would you do crate training? I highly recommend a crate for any dog most prefer it and it helps with "settling" during the day for "it's quiet time now we are done playing/training/walking"

Kirky658 · 22/10/2020 15:08

@minster2012 ahh I see! I'll deffo give that a go tomorrow then. Thankfully DH is home in the day to help me tomorrow, he is a teacher and they have an inset day which they're doing from home! People keep telling me a baby is less work than a puppy, haha!

Katao · 22/10/2020 15:17

Sorry for all the afs. It's a bitch. At least there will be a nice group of you at a similar stage for this cycle so that's a little silver lining.

AmesK · 22/10/2020 16:24

@Kirky658 Thank you! I appreciate the support, feeling pretty blue :(

@Juno231 Thanks :) Yes have done, been found to have endo and PCOS so I know it’s going to be a struggle but I’m losing hope tbh :(

AmesK · 22/10/2020 16:25

@Minster2012 Thank you for the support hun, it means a lot. I’ve asked for the referral but have been told by Gynae that they will ‘see when covid is over’. Thoroughly fed up and losing hope :(

2alreadywantanother · 22/10/2020 16:29

I 2nd the crate training like @minster2012 mentioned. My puppy was crate trained when we got her so we went with that. That's her safe place. Shes not a fan of strange men and would go in there if we had visitors or if 2 many kids about and she wasnt bothered. The kids knowing shes in there leave her. I shout to the kids in the morning "right guys" and she goes in waiting on her treat. Theres many days she sits there rather than on sofa. But yes @kirky658 they are like having a child. If u get as a pup you have to have the time and patience to train. I dont. Not gonna lie. The rescue had her trained.

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 16:50

@Minster2012 this is what their page says abc ivf

Our mission is to change the world of IVF & offer simple, successful and affordable IVF treatment to as many people as possible. We offer the UK's lowest cost IVF treatment for £2,500 with no extras no add-ons just one simple all-inclusive price. Conventional IVF can be expensive as many clinics have long treatment protocols reliant on multiple appointments and intense doses of expensive fertility drugs, coupled with high laboratory costs. Our innovative new service is the result of over a decade of research & development. With the combination of simplified treatment protocols, technology and a streamlined patient journey we are able to offer successful IVF at the most affordable cost in the UK; without compromising our quality of care.'

My sis is having her period at the moment then I think next cycle they can try again? Anyway me and her are in sync again cycle day wise haha. How are you feeling?

@notyetamumbuttrying I can't access the link 😬

Mrsbear1122 · 22/10/2020 17:23

Hi ladies, well i thought I was getting up off the seat from the bus but I am now firmly back down on my seat. Bleeding started this morning, turned heavy with a huge clot (sorry tmi) think that's my bean saying bye bye 😢 i'm not as upset as I thought would be.. maybe because it was still early on, today is 22dpo. Tummy went calm for 2days, breast tenderness disappeared this morning, temp dropped slightly as well, altho still about coverline. Have self referred to midwifery dept in hospital last Friday, got appointment letter yesterday and this bad news came today so had to call to cancel ... Sighs...well onto next cycle!

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/10/2020 17:37

@AmesK can you get ivf on the nhs now that it's been two years? I'm so sorry it wasn't your month again. Hope you're doing ok.xX

@Missgoldilocks ah it might be because it's from Facebook. Let me try another way, hold on...
