Fingers crossed for @Newbie0818 I think a few of us popped on here this morning hoping to see good news! She might not even have decided to test today 😂

lucyrp · 21/10/2020 10:09

@Franklydear thanks you guys are the best, yeah if the spotting was CD1 that would make me CD26 and only 11dpo today
@Katao otherwise thag spotting makes no sense but it was literally the smallest and brown bit ever only when I went to the loo and brown cm 🤷🏼‍♀️
@Minster2012 my watch came this morning so been setting it up. Love it 😁
@lilacflower12 so weird isn't it !! That's what I'm thinking although my other voice in my head is like you're just thinking that because you're hoping to be normal again but if I class the spotting as CD1 thag makes ovulation CD15 and me now CD26 and 11dpo
@Vil10 yes 34 is still good! I'd do anything for 34 days 🤣

@Chlo2701 it arrived this morning so been setting it up since, love it! Yesterday my rhr dipped so I'm not too sure haven't got one for today yet takes quite a few hours for me by the looks
@Missgoldilocks ive just had 4 days off with OH and I'm 4 pounds heavier on the scales than I was before but my body looks not feels any different. I'm so done with scales I really need to start taking measurements. I found a pic oj Instagram and this girl had lost only 2 pounds but the difference in her waist was unreal!

AmesK · 21/10/2020 10:13

Thanks @Minster2012 and @Vil10! I’ll give those ones a try then. Tbh I’m pretty fed up with the entire thing and another close friend has just announced an accidental pregnancy so feeling pretty green :(

blodyn91 · 21/10/2020 10:16

@Minster2012 got another auction next Friday 😅 but this welsh lockdown buggering it up, really hope we can bid over the phone. Its a 1930s 3 bedroom detached with an orchard and a 2 acre field. So much smaller than what we have looked ta previously land wise. But think we are going to have to start small and possibly rent land 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll keep you update! Definitely getting a teal velvet sofa if we get it @Juno231 🙊🙊

@lucyrp definitely keep temping, its all really interesting. Almost like your body might be trying to ovulate again!Just keep dtd! And don't let your cycle length stress you if thats the case.

lucyrp · 21/10/2020 10:20

@blodyn91 were thinking I may have ovulated on the 10th according to my rhr but my bbt doesn't really match up il attach below. What do you think 😬 were not really having regular sex at the moment we both seem to have lost our sex drive as nothings working 🤦🏼‍♀️

Morning ladies!

I can't keep up with the amount of posts so I'm not even going to try and reply to everyone individually!!

The weather is a huge miserable mood downer isn't it, so dark and eugh!! We all need wine and chocolate and huge jumpers!

Got my positive OPK this morning Smile on CD 26-my cycles are so long post coil! I've had 42 days, 36 days and this one will likely be 41 if I O tomorrow.

Big love to all you ladies who need a little extra today

Newbie0818 · 21/10/2020 10:25

@Katao @Minster2012 @2020mission sorry to leave you hanging 😂
I just quite simply woke up an hour before my alarm bursting for the loo, forgot that I was going to test and then it just didn't happen! Still no af, but I've had a bit of a temp drop this morning and feeling a bit periody now, so I'll give it til the weekend and see what happens 😒

lucyrp · 21/10/2020 10:40

@LaceyMermaid sorry I completely missed your post! That is horrendous! As if she actually told you that!
@AmesK I use the fermometer ones when I bother and link them to the fermometer app!

lucyrp · 21/10/2020 10:54

@Chlo2701 oooo thee who asked shall receive! Rhr for today 🤪

Morning ladies

Bloody horrible weather isn't it!
That real coughs and colds sort of time, great in this current climate 🥴

Just at the hospital now waiting for my repeat HCG bloods, they weren't going to review me but I've asked to be as I want to know answers to questions such as when can I try again? AIBU!? Feel like they aren't going to give me any answers. Really hoping the HCG level has dropped enough 😩

I've got a big course the next two days so doing lots of revision for that this afternoon!

How is everybody else doing?

Ladybird345 · 21/10/2020 11:17

Hi ladies, I can't keep up with this thread 😂 Have I missed any good news stories?

I'm back onto a new cycle, temps have finally dropped slightly on cycle day 6 so back to opks.

Started a diet here, I weighed myself a couple of days ago and was shocked so onto calorie counting now! Already missing biscuits 😒

Hope you're all okay!

Franklydear · 21/10/2020 11:18

@blackcurrantqueen hmmm, hard to tell, my asthma is playing up, so not feeling great, and I have a bit of nausea, apart from that, pretty normal, which is weird for af due date, might even get to test at the weekend

LaceyMermaid · 21/10/2020 11:27

@Vil10 @Kirky658 I haven’t had any bleeding yet but I just know it’s over. Temps gone from 36.77 to way below cover line to 36.41! And I’ve been cramping for days. But I did have a little moment where I thought maybe it’s implantation... ridiculous!!
Have any of you ladies found it better not tracking your cycle?
I’m thinking I should stop as I only started to get an idea that I’m ovulating etc after the coil was removed. Now it’s all settled into a routine (soy isoflavones really helped my cycle settle @Missgoldilocks so weird how they can mess some people up and not others).
But then I’m worried like @Katao said that I’ll then stress I don’t know where I am in my cycle.
Any thoughts?

Katao · 21/10/2020 11:43

@LaceyMermaid I looked into soy isoflavones after you suggested them to me and I think I will try them, nothing to lose really because cycles are already all over the place. Left it too lateto order for this cycle though 😥 . On the no tracking side I'm finding it great at the minute. I got quite stressed ladt cycle and really disappointed with the bfn so really needed some headspace. Anyway opks aren't giving me much solid info most months. It probably will get frustrating later in my cycle when I have the urge to poas and don't know how ridiculously too early it is. Ive just sort of set a test date and am aiming at that.

Vil10 · 21/10/2020 11:43

@Kirky658 sorry I thought you said you'd come on!! If af hasn't shown her face properly you're not out yet!!

@lucyrp I feel like as a teenager it was always drilled in a 28-30 day cycle was normal!! I think teenage girls should be taught genuine facts and told things they might face and go through when they get to this age because we were never told any of this about TTC and periods and our fuck boy bodies!

@AmesK that's kinda how I felt the other day, surrounded by pregnancies and some that were accidental, my friend who is pregnant now has pcos and only took her 5 months to conceive so now I'm thinking well I'm on month 6 could I possibly have something wrong with me and I know you shouldn't compare your journeys with others but these things always fly round my head!

@LaceyMermaid it could be implantation!! Keep positive hun! I don't think I'm going to track this cycle, last cycle I didn't do anything other than opks, so this cycle I don't think I'm even going to do them, we DTD regularly so we'll be covered without using opks, I just think I'm going to try the really relaxed approach and see how that is for us!

I haven't had a period this heavy for a long time!! I know I'm day 1 so it's bound to be heavy but I've only had my tampon in just over 3 hours and it's leaked onto my thin pad that I put in because I knew I'd be heavy! I feel horrible!!

LaceyMermaid · 21/10/2020 11:50

@Vil10 I think I’m going to take the relaxed approach too and do nothing. I haven’t been trying that long but I’m 38 and I’m very much in the if it happens it happens camp as I have children already that I’m very grateful for.
Ugh hate heavy periods they’re the worst! Hopefully this is the worst day for you! I’ll know by tonight as AF always arrives in the evening for me!
@Katao yep I think it’s a good idea and am going to copy you! No tracking. Work is making me stressed at the mo so I don’t need more pressure on me by constantly seeing if my temp has gone up or down or if I have a peak opk!

Katao · 21/10/2020 12:09

@LaceyMermaid well ya because if you are fairly regular youhave a good idea anyway and ifnotitsjust morestress isnt it!

AmesK · 21/10/2020 12:10

@Vil10 Yeah I know how you feel! And yes we are not supposed to compare our journeys but it is very difficult and I’m glad to have found you lot because I feel less terrible moaning on here, as I just feel you all get it 😂
Sorry about the heavy period! Not great! Had AF trickling down my leg at work on my last cycle so that was horrific! Hope you’re doing ok :) xx

Kirky658 · 21/10/2020 12:11

@laceymermaid I haven't been charting my cycle or tracking it, was told by gp just to have regular intercourse and see how it goes! I had pain in my side cd14 so think I ovulated then but idk as it appears my period has arrived today.. So maybe best tracking?! I'm not convinced but I know my DH is against me tracking as he knows it will cause me to stress and be more anxious bless him. Let's hope its implantation for us both 👍

Update - flow no heavier than this morning and incredibly light. Either a super light period or..... Trying not to think about it!!

2alreadywantanother · 21/10/2020 12:18

@laceymermaid I was saying to my friend the other day, I'm was 40 in sept, and started ttc in june. Pregnant by aug but had the mindset that if it happens it happens but at least I tried. Could have accepted it not happening but because it happened so quickly I want it more than ever now 😥

Missgoldilocks · 21/10/2020 12:38

@LaceyMermaid I know its so annoying! I can't believe it's done that to my cycles it's just mad them longer :(. Do you think if I take soy again and take them earlier it will make me ovulate earlier and get me back on track to my normal 29 day cycle?? That's what I've been thinking about x

Joanna1009 · 21/10/2020 13:15

@Newbie0818 Hey did you decide to test?

I decided I'll see this cycle through then leave it all alone for a couple of months like you guys suggested (or that's the aim). My OPK showed that my LH peak was yesterday so apparently ovulating today (a day earlier than expected) although my CM isn't suggestive of ovulation Hmm good job we been dancing a couple of times this past 24 hours Grin

Katao · 21/10/2020 13:15

@LaceyMermaid do you have any links to info on isoflavones? I get a lot of menopause info when I search!

2alreadywantanother · 21/10/2020 13:30

@joanna1009 the peak can mean anywhere up to 48hr after so u could have ovulated yesterday, today or tomorrow. When I get peak I dtd daily just to be sure.

LaceyMermaid · 21/10/2020 13:37

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3896355-Anyone-tried-Soy-Isoflavones

I just searched mumsnet really and read threads like this @Katao
I was worried about delaying ovulation as I was ovulating on about cd20 so I took low dose of 80mg on days 3-7 first month then this month took 80 80 160 160 160 days 3-7. I ovulated cd 15 then cd14 so helped my cycle definitely. I would recommend them although obviously they haven’t bought me my BFP! I think they are good for menopause too but that’s lower dose and all through the Month!
@Missgoldilocks what dose did you take? Might be worth taking earlier on this time but if they messed up your cycle then I’m not sure
@Kirky658 yes I think it might make me more stressed and I don’t really need to track now I know my cycle again and it’s regular. I was initially worried I wasn’t ovulating so it’s put my mind at rest now.
