@Franklydear omg I can totally imagine you doing that 😂😂😂 yeah I'm thinking thag might have been what's happened but who knows really ! Just guessing all the time

Franklydear · 20/10/2020 21:30

@lucyrp they were very careful what they wrote after that... it’s my son book, surely I am as qualified at least, as anybody else to write

I have also a very sweet moment, when he got diagnosed with autism, I went to the uni library to read proper medical books about it, with thesaurus and dictionary, cos they are hard as fuck, and a medical student came to see what my bizarre arrangement was about and what was my course, so I explained that I am just a mum trying to make sense of this, so he sit down with me for two hours to explain what he could.

Minster2012 · 20/10/2020 21:38

@Franklydear love both parts to that story. You are brill. 😘

lucyrp · 20/10/2020 21:42

@Franklydear aww that's so lovely!🥰🥰

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/10/2020 21:44

@Franklydear I agree with @Minster2012 awesome mum award for you 🥇

LaceyMermaid · 20/10/2020 21:44

@lucyrp that makes me so cross for you. Really annoys me when health professionals think they can talk down to you just because you’re young. As a young mum at 21 the health visitor told me it was my fault my baby was lactose intolerant because I didn’t BF him for long enough. The guilt I felt about that was unreal. Only found out after having DS2 and then DS3 that all my babies were lactose intolerant even after I BF them for much longer! Needless to say by the time I was more experienced I wasn’t taking any of that BS!

Franklydear · 20/10/2020 21:50

@Minster2012 @notyetamumbuttrying we all are, or will be, and do whatever is needed

Katao · 20/10/2020 22:07

@Minster2012 oh no not feeling preached at, preaching with you 😂 all of our family dogs have always been rescue dogs so feel strongly people shouldn't get a dog unless they can fully commit.

Skip86 · 20/10/2020 23:49

Morning ladies 🍍🍉

@Franklydear oh I love that story about the med student! Gorgeous 💗

@LaceyMermaid jaysus the nurse for your first baby was bang out of line with that comment 🙄

@lucyrp I don't know how the medical system works over there, but do you have the option of researching and choosing a doctor
/gynae who will be able to help you with care and compassion? I'm really sorry you're not being taken seriously, what rubbish x

@Newbie0818 @LaceyMermaid oh my god SO much respect for teachers, espesh in these times! 🙌🏼 I couldn't do it, hats off to you.

Took a pic of the roo section in my local supermarket yesterday for you all 😂🦘

Katao · 21/10/2020 00:02

@lucyrp I also had just spotting that turned out to be the start of the next cycle 🤷‍♀️ i wasn't counting it but then the doctor did 21 day bloods based on the spotting being cd1 and it added up as the results showed ovulation. Go figure!

Newbie0818 · 21/10/2020 06:36

@LaceyMermaid yuck! Don't think I can do it for that long haha.

@Skip86 thanks :) roo!! Can't get over that 🤣

lucyrp · 21/10/2020 06:58

@Katao if thay was the case thag would mean I only had a 20 day cycle and I'm now on CD26 with ovulation on CD15 if going by whag me and @Chlo2701 decided last night. I'm not sure what to think 🙈🤣

I've had another high temp on my bbt this morning 🤷🏼‍♀️sorry for those who are fed up of me posting chart pictures 😂

Franklydear · 21/10/2020 07:31

@Skip86 yes! Fantastic, I am hoping when he is a clinician will be one of his uni stories, when I was just a student, one day in the library... he is definitely going to be a great doctor
Maybe we can create a market for roo in the uk
@lucyrp nah, keep posting, we'll figure it out eventually, all for one, if the spotting was cd1, you are still in for a chance, right?
@LaceyMermaid I always have much respect for teachers, I teach a primary homework class, just 6, in a tutoring academy when in uni, and it put me off the profession, I never tried 30, in Spain classes are 40 and no t a

LaceyMermaid · 21/10/2020 07:39

@Newbie0818 no I don’t blame you, I’ve only got another 27 years until retirement! No way I’ll be able to do it at that age though!
@Skip86 @Franklydear thanks that’s really nice to hear. If it was only about the children it would be fine!
@Skip86 my brother loves in Australia and I visited him a few years ago. I don’t remember seeing any kangaroo! Such a beautiful place

LaceyMermaid · 21/10/2020 07:40

I’ve had a massive temp drop today 12dpo which is when AF seems to always come now so I’m out! At least my cycle has settled into a routine since having my coil removed now. Think I might stop temping etc this month and just go with the flow

Katao · 21/10/2020 07:43

@lucyrp could bethe case. Ive had some really short cycles lately so no idea what to expect anymore. Not even tracking this month which is fine now but I bet I'll be kicking myself soon wondering when to test 😂 and keep posting your chart, I can't help but plenty can and fresh eyes help. That's what the group is for 😉
@Newbie0818 did you decide not to test?

AmesK · 21/10/2020 07:54

Morning lovelies!

I’m feeling down today as AF is due tomorrow and I’m cramping with a vengeance but thought why don’t I rethink and try OPK’s again? They haven’t really worked for me before because of the PCOS but I do want to try again as I’m feeling out of control at the minute.
Any tips on which ones to use? Ideally with a good paired app if possible?

Thanks darlings xxx

Minster2012 · 21/10/2020 08:13

Morning!
Love the roo meat aisle @Skip86! Nutritious & delicious sounds good, I'll have me a roo burger please! How you feeling today? If you think O was 12th you pretty far into TWW right?

@Newbie0818 have you woken up to dreaded witch or she teasing you?

@AmesK I think a lot of ppl liked the easy@home ones if I remember right then used Femometer? Or fertility friend? I used the Femometer strips but I never got a peak anyway so I'm not good to know really. @Juno231 @blodyn91 can you help?

@blodyn91 any more houses/barns on the horizon?

@lucyrp did your watch come?

@LaceyMermaid don't write yourself off lovely 🤞🏻

I've woken up with a really sore throat this morning & now sneezing so def have a cold on the way & NO MOTIVATION to work, work out or do fuck all really. I've done nursery run, walking dogs now, then gotta get them home, drop a key at my friends, get back to work for a meeting then stupidly said I'd cook for couple of friends tonight in case of a lockdown. Really cannot be arsed 😩but I need to get back into exercise & eating well from stopping during TWW before not eating shit & drinking wine (which we will)
All I wanna do is curl up in a duvet on the sofa
Balls

Anyone else nearing end of TWW other than cool as f over there? @Franklydear

Kirky658 · 21/10/2020 08:30

Morning ladies... Not a fantastic start to the day for me. Headed for a run, got back and found pink spotting, as if AF is on her way... 2 days earlier than I thought. Looks like that's me out for another month 😭

Franklydear · 21/10/2020 09:02

@Minster2012 you made me chuckle 😆😁. Still cool, no witch so far but still early, DH is convinced that my nausea means af is coming, I don't think he dares to hope yet again

lilacflower12 · 21/10/2020 09:04

@lucyrp I'm thinking the same thing has happened to me, cd1 was on the 27th Sep bled for 3 days, all was fine until 6th October when I had 3 days of spotting and cramps which I thought was ovulation pains but my OPK's were very low. I'm ovulating today I think on CD 25 due to peak OPK's and then them dropping which I thought was just me having a long cycle due to first month off Birth control ( before BC I was having 33 days cycles) but if I only O'd today it would put my cycle as 39 days long. If I go back and take the first day of my spotting as CD1 it would mean I'd be CD 16 today and that would be a pretty normal length cycle... It's all so confusing! I'll have to wait and see when I O next month to work it all out

Vil10 · 21/10/2020 09:18

@AmesK I use the easy@home ones and downloaded premom app to log the results! I find them so easy because they're quite thick strips and always give a clear reading!

@Kirky658 @LaceyMermaid so sorry for af, you can join me now!

@Minster2012 urghhh hate the start of a cold!! I feel like I could get back into bed today too!! Trying to force myself to get to the gym!

Well af arrived properly this morning so I think I'm going to count today as first proper day, so this cycle has been 34 days, so still not back to my 30 day ones but 34 isn't too bad is it? I woke up with the worst pains and I feel like I have a weight in my uterus😩 why is it that cycles when you come off the pill are all different, my last cycle wasn't that heavy or painful yet the cycle before that and this one are horrible!! I need hot water bottle and chocolate😢

Kirky658 · 21/10/2020 09:27

@lilacflower12 I know how you feel, I came off mirena coil in June and my first cycle was 50 days!!! Didn't know what was going on. I also had endometriosis surgery at the same time so my body was totally screwed for a month or two!

@Vil10 it's crazy i am still tying to convince myself this could be my month, as its early and so light at the moment but I know I'm being mental... I'm sure we all have these moments, haha!

I was told by my consultant gynaecologist after my endo surgery in June that my tubes, ovaries etc were all completely healthy and there's no reason why I can't conceive. But I worry that I perhaps have a short luteal phase for some reason which could be why?! Gahhhhh so confusing x

Chlo2701 · 21/10/2020 09:43

@lucyrp I've got a series 5 hun & i love it! Your 6 will be the bollucks!
They do say there is are similarities between RHR & BBT. I've never tracked my temp because I'm such a shit sleeper.
Do you have your RHR for yesterday or today? If your temp gone up I'm intrigued to see your RHR!!! 👏🏼🤞🏻

Missgoldilocks · 21/10/2020 09:53

Good morning everyone :)

@Minster2012 ahhhh colds suck!!!! 😤Sorry you feel like that but f it listen to your body and chill for the day!! Hot Bath?? Hehe

I'm about to go gym after that hectic weekend I need to sort my life out lol so fasting today and gym! Need to get back to losing this "sad trying for a baby weight" 😬 but period pains are in full force today, no period yet though and no spotting but I have a pad on in case the bitch wants to surprise me at some point today, cd29! Man those isoflavones reaaaaaalllly fucked me up ☹️☹️☹️☹️ hope next cycle my periods go back to normal!!

@Skip86 I'd love to try kangaroo I've heard it's lovely and great protein source
