@SS123456

Do you think I should start opks straight away? I guess I won't know when I'll ovulate this month now (if at all) will I?
Your body may just slip straight back into its normal cycle or it may be a bit messed up. I think I would probably start testing when you usually do but there's obviously no harm in starting earlier if you want to.
kirinm · 23/10/2020 07:50

I haven't tested again. I feel too anxious about seeing a BFN. I don't feel pregnant and I don't trust that IC so I know if I do a FRER and it's negative I'm just going to feel like shit 🙈

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 08:18

@kirinm how about giving an IC a go?

kirinm · 23/10/2020 08:27

@SS123456 possibly if I'm able to do a 4-hour hold! I know I'm just going to be mega disappointed and am trying to put off what feels like the inevitable.

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 09:04

@kirinm I guess it depends what you personally find harder, the knowing or not knowing. If you find the anticipation of 'am I or aren't I' really hard, a test could at least give you closure even if it's not the result you want. If you find you cope better not knowing for sure either way maybe wait it out until AF. Personally I prefer to test as I always feel I would like to know if I have had a chemical (which may be missed if you don't test and then AF arrives)

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 09:07

I've just done an opk and femometer registered it as 'high' (albeit a low high). Is this just linked to the post mc hormones still in me as surely my body isn't gearing up to ovulate 4 days post mc? (I stopped bleeding yesterday). I also did a IC HGC test too at the same time and no HCG was detected as still being present

I'm normally keen to test because I hate the not knowing but I think because I've seen a sort of faint smidge on the IC, I have got my hopes up but am trying not to. My AF isn't actually due until Monday or Tuesday.

As for chemical pregnancies - I've had two over the last few months and I don't know that knowing did me any good. It isn't something I'm going to get any help with because of my age now so unsure if it is worth knowing.

MrsB2019x · 23/10/2020 09:21

@SS123456 I guess the only way you’re going to know is if you start doing two a day to see if they are getting fainter or stronger - I wouldn’t have thought you would be gearing up this early but I think MCs do strange things to your body!

@kirinm Personally I would take another because I hate the limbo, but only you know how you feel

kirinm · 23/10/2020 09:24

@MrsB2019x currently feeling quite anxious! I think this month will be harder for me because my antenatal group have had so many announcements. I know that might not make sense but I think I could deal with seeing them better, if I knew I was pregnant too.

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 09:31

@MrsB2019x Our bodies are a mine field aren't they!

@kirinm As @MrsB2019x said, I would personally test as I can then morn my loss if it's a bfn and start re-focusing my energy on next month again but everyone will be different. You could get a bfp and the anxiety has all been for nothing, you never know! I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way 😁. Let us know if you do test though. We are here to support you no matter what the outcome. And remember it's never over until AF arrives 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Rotagilla · 23/10/2020 09:49

@SS123456 are you trying this month?
Or just tracking what your body is doing?
We are going to wait a cycle but I'm keen to see how quickly things go back to normal ❤️

@kirinm fingers crossed for you lovely, do whatever will cause you less stress ❤️

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 09:55

@Rotagilla we are planning on trying again right away but I think you are doing the right thing waiting a month, I think I would do the same in your shoes too. I was actually thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing. I had a blood test to check my thyroid function yesterday and will have the results next week. If something flags up on that we have said we'll put things on hold but I think otherwise we will continue and hope for the best. Are you physically fully recovered now?

Rotagilla · 23/10/2020 10:48

@SS123456 I feel physically recovered and keen to get going again.
Just thinking we will wait a cycle to make sure everything is out and as it should be.
Mainly because il worry if I'm not 'reset' if that makes sense....but it's so hard to be impatient and I'd read you are more fertile straight after.

We've been offered some testing but one department said it wouldn't be until the new year...so not going to wait for that.
We know why I lost the baby so we aren't too concerned with genetic or blood testing.

Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻it looks very positive that your body is ready to ovulate so soon x

Sansa87 · 23/10/2020 11:05

I didn’t know whether I was appropriate but we had our 12 week scan today, & everything looks good ❤️

kirinm · 23/10/2020 11:07

Well, it has made me feel like utter shit as I thought it probably would. Did another IC and it was a BFN. Nothing there. God I hate this.

kirinm · 23/10/2020 11:08

Good to hear! That must be a relief for you.
SS123456 · 23/10/2020 11:13

@Sansa87 that is such great news, congratulations! I am so pleased for you! 😁. Never refrain from saying anything in here on my account, we are here for the good and the bad! While I have you, can I ask if you know how soon after your mc you ovulated?

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 11:15

I agree @Rotagilla . You know why the mc happened, and whilst it is devastating and frustrating, it does give some small amount of closure and reassurance for future pregnancies. Fingers crossed it happens quickly for you! How long did it take you to get your previous bfp?

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 11:16

I'm really sorry @kirinm 😔. How many dpo are you? I don't want to give you any false hope but my bfp was only a squinter at 12dpo

Sansa87 · 23/10/2020 11:16

@SS123456 absolutely.

I got my peak on cd20 so was 6 days later than usual. It really frustrated me at the time, but it made me feel better after realising my body had that week to reset than it was almost like that cycle started a week after the surgery.

SS123456 · 23/10/2020 11:19

@Sansa87 thank you that is good to know! I feel really disheartened to have mc'd after 13 months trying so I'm really hoping we don't have another 13 months ahead of us again. Did you do any early opk tests and get 'highs' like I have got today on what I guess is CD5? (I mc'd Monday)

Sansa87 · 23/10/2020 11:31

@SS123456 I got SO many highs, I was so disheartened thinking my body was working. I was almost ready to give up

The Pact - Who cares what month it is anymore..?
SS123456 · 23/10/2020 11:38

@Sansa87 I think I've likely got a month of that to come then! 🙈. The fact you fell so soon after gives me a glimmer of hope though

MrsB2019x · 23/10/2020 12:47

So glad your scan went well @Sansa87! Hopefully you can breathe a sigh of relief now and start enjoying your pregnancy ☺️

So sorry you got a BFN @kirinm, completely agree that all of this is shit! How many dpo are you? You’re not out until AF arrived lovely x

11dpo and not due on until Monday (or Tuesday). I did only hold for 2 hours but like I've said before, I just don't feel pregnant so don't think this is my month.

Really am getting tired of this process.
