@SPENCER22 hey :) I haven't ovulated any earlier than CD25 since I came off the pill, and latest was around CD40! Think late ovulation is quite normal for a while post pill. I've been off 7 months now and no sign of settling down yet unfortunately x

@MintGreenLife that's interesting about late ov after coming off pill, thank you for sharing! Making me feel less worried about all the stark white opks X

I’m 4 months off now and I’ve been lucky, I got straight back into a regular cycle, I’ve only tracked OV the last two cycles, OV CD17 & CD14 this time, unfortunately I think that is more unusual after reading most peoples experiences, I think it can take upto 12 months to settle

@MancMama39 how long have you been off the pill for? I think lots of women experience long and irregular cycles post pill, so that makes sense with late ovulation x

A little TTC update from me - it's been a while, I'm mostly blabbing about houses! So I've had EWCM on CD9!! I did notice my CM seemed watery yesterday, but didn't think much of it given how early I am in my cycle and how late I normally ovulate.

Now I'm worried as DH goes away today for a few nights, and I was thinking that wouldn't even matter as I'd be CD12 when he gets back, but now I'm worrying the AC and all the B vitamins have worked a little too well eeek. By my standards I'll have EWCM at least a week before I ovulate, but now thinking well maybe I won't if everything I've been taking has sorted my hormones out?! Not sure what to think now ha x

Any ideas why I had the flashing smiley face on the CB ovulation monitor if I didn’t ovulate this cycle? I know it indicates a surge in oestrogen but why would this happen if I’m not ovulating? So confusing

@Sperr In second cycle off the pill I used OPKs, and I had 3 LH surges in total across around 20 days until I finally did ovulate (I think!). Oestrogen rises and triggers LH, so it's possible your oestrogen was rising getting ready to ovulate, but you just didn't quite get there x

Hi I’m new here ttc last 2 months I’m hopeless with noticing ovulation and I’m currently usin ovia app i am late today no period

@MintGreenLife I think you will be ok, my EWCM started CD10/11 and I ovulated CD14, maybe just try pounce on him today before he goes 😂 sounds like your supplements are working though, so fingers crossed.

@SPENCER22 it sounds like your body tried to ovulate but didn’t quite make it, again very common when you’re not long off the pill.

@ChinChilly thanks, I'll do my best! We DTD yesterday, but will see if he's up for it again today :) I expect I'll have my usual drawn out EWCM, but don't think I've ever had it before CD16, so this is an interesting development!

@Danielle2012 do you have regular cycles? If you're just going by when the app says your due without much history to input it could easily be off - if you've ovulated a little later your period will arrive later x

Thanks so much to your replies they would be regular yes I thought I was last month as I didn’t get a full period it was more spotting and then a little clot but it was on the time I was due my period .. but I obviously wasn’t pregnant, did about 10 tests 😭 so I’m late again .. I have an 8 year old boy and a 15 month old boy with the last boy I used the same app and he happened in my 2nd cycle of getting my IUD REMOVED XX

@Juno231 yeah don't worry I'm gonna pee on my own but then we will look at the result together. Totally expecting negatives, but maybe after a few I might change my mind! Im not testing until I've missed my period or 14 DPO, which ever comes first!

@MintGreenLife that is super exciting!!! Same as me...we really are in sync this cycle!

@Tatty1987 oh so exciting! How many weeks will you be when you go for your private scan? I’m starting to think about maybe booking one as well to see if it calms me any as I’m so anxious!
I called the GP this morning when they opened, and the receptionist didn’t even put me on the list for my doctor to call me later today (she only does a half day). She got me booked in with the midwife for 3 weeks time instead. I think I’ll be around 7 weeks + 5 days when I have my appointment so I hope that’s okay; as I feel like the person on the phone wasn’t too sure what was going on!

Yesterday I got a big temperature dip at 8dpo and though AF was coming, managed to hold on another day but this morning temperature went down again and just been to the toilet and pretty sure AF is coming so that’s a 8 day luteal phase. Absolutely devastated. Last month was 10 days and I was hoping to extend on this.

Feeling so miserable. I have a long cycle and a short luteal phase. We were not planning on TTC till after one more cycle. I just don’t know what I can do to try and help things.

@MintGreenLife that does sound positive for an earlier ov! Really interested to see how the AC and B its effect LP.

I'm only in my first month off so no idea really - guess in my head it seemed like I'd snap back into 26/7 days cycles like before pretty quick. Realising it might not be so straightforward this time. Time will tell.

Great to hear everyone's experiences though and get lots of ideas.

@Elsie2021 sorry that's happened. Unfortunately I have no advice as I'm new to all this but hope things get better next cycle.

@ChinChilly @AMS19 glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks they might be imagining things!

I was convinced AF would start over the last couple of days (having felt like that two weeks ago) and still nothing. It would be easier to be zen about it if I didn't have this crampy/pre period feeling. Unfortunately I have not been tracking anything so no idea what might be going on.

@MintGreenLife have you checked when your EWCM has started in previous cycles? I could have sworn it was relatively early as well? Not to poop on your cake, just to reassure you that maybe OH being out of town won't be relevant just yet!

@curcurbita nope you’re not alone! I’ve had cramps (probably imaginary) since AF and I am now 1DPO! Last AF was strangley light so I kept thinking it must be coming back 😂

@Elsie2021 oh so sorry to hear this, but I wouldn't count it as an 8 day luteal phase until you actually start bleeding, although I did from my first day of spotting as my temp went below the cover line that day too. If I counted from full flow I would have had a 9 day luteal phase. It's obviously an after effect from the pill, as it can't be coincidence several of us have the same problem! How long have you been off the pill again for? I know how painful it is though, as I have late ovulation too, and got so excited last cycle, only to have AF arrive 9 days later, it's heart breaking xx

@Juno231 oh you might be right actually, I said CD16 was the earliest I've had it, but it's actually CD14. We DTD today anyway just in case!

In other news the original house we were purchasing has officially fallen through. They changed their minds about renegotiating on the price, and we can't afford to put all the problems right, so we've had to walk away. Back to the drawing board! Think we will have to go through with the sale here, so will end up staying with family temporarily which is fine, I just want to find somewhere and get the process going before we have to move out of here so I at least know we will eventually have somewhere to move in to.

@MintGreenLife well hopefully that means you've brought OD forward 5 days this time at least! Was the CD14 cycle the one where you ovulated on CD25?

Sorry about the house falling through but in a way it's probably a good thing as it saves you the headache of making an even more complicated decision down the line. Fingers crossed the house OH is looking at tomorrow is the one!

@Juno231 I cant believe how much your RHR follows your BBT!! Im tempted to charge my fitbit back up and wear it again. I took it off in March when I started to wfh as the lack of steps was just depressing....😂😂

@PumpkinEverything I’ll be 6 weeks and 6 days when I have the scan but now we are wondering whether to book another one nearer to the hospital 12 week scan as I’m not sure I want to go to that one on my own incase something shows up that shouldn’t and I would be alone. I’m anxious too but I think I’ll feel better after the 12 week mark. When are you planning to tell your/ his parents?
