No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@kay00 Ha!! My husband is currently sat eating an apple and I'm staring at him telling him to hurry up and finish so we can get it over and done with before I get too tired 😂😂

ChinChilly · 21/10/2020 20:55

@Kay00 @AMS19 hilarious, Wednesday night is football night for OH I’ve told him to conserve some energy 😂😂

Does anybody else get cramps throughout their cycle? I’ve only really noticed it this cycle but I feel like I’ve constantly got a dull ache, I’m not sure if I’m over thinking it and imagining, I fell down the Dr Google hole and am not thinking the worst! 😕

AMS19 · 21/10/2020 20:59

@ChinChilly in my first cycle off the pill i was in consistent aches. I havent had anything since my period until today which is more of a twinge. But I'm starting to think that is all psychological given the EWCM excitement 🙄

ChinChilly · 21/10/2020 21:04

@AMS19 I’ve got a feeling mine is psychological too, I haven’t noticed it until this cycle, but since AF it just hasn’t really gone away but I have turned into a TTC crazy lady! I find my mind drifting off into thinking about TTC even when I’m just watching telly! I think if this cycle doesn’t work I’m going to have to step back from everything and give my head a wobble! I’ve made that mistake of googling it and am now thinking OMG what if I’ve got PCOS or ENDO even though I have like 0 of the other symptoms! Why do I do it? 😂

AMS19 · 21/10/2020 21:18

@ChinChilly we all do the same! I've already Googled my due date if I'm ovulating in the next day or two 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

ChinChilly · 21/10/2020 21:23

@AMS19 Brilliant 😂😂 so glad I’m not the only one!!! I really need to stop over thinking I think it’s giving me a stomach knot I’m mistaking for cramps! OV was supposed to be today was hoping I’d calm down but I think the TWW will be worse 😬

Juno231 · 21/10/2020 21:27

@kay00 how much later than usual did you take your temp today? Fingers crossed your temp keeps going up!

@sperr when you start OPKs is dependent on how long your cycles are. The instructions should tell you when to start :) mine tell me cd8 I think.

Kay00 · 21/10/2020 21:59

@juno231 yesterday and today I took my temperature about 30 minutes after I normally do... I keep sleeping through the alarm so I think I need to change the sound. If my temperature rises again tomorrow (36.3 ish) then ill be satisfied that I ovulated today.

Kay00 · 21/10/2020 22:05

I have been feeling nauseous today which im hoping is due to rising progesterone levels post ovulation??

Flowerbudd · 22/10/2020 07:27

Morning Smile just catching up and reading everyone's posts and laughing away at DTD with the OH 😂 we're all the same and i totally calculated due dates each month!

Sending lots of baby dust to everyone ✨

Sperr · 22/10/2020 08:06

I did my first temp! It was quieter than I thought and OH is still snoring away so that’s a success 😂

AMS19 · 22/10/2020 08:24

Yay exciting stuff @Sperr

I know right @Flowerbudd - can you imagine if our OHs ever saw this! Not sure if they would laugh or cry....or even care, I mean, my husband is getting much for sex than usual!

Well I DTD last night just in case. For anyone who OPKs, do you only start doing twice a day when you see some progression? Mine is basically zero, and has been since I came off the pill, so I dont know how quickly I could peak (if at all clearly). Assuming it stays low should I stick with once a day or up to twice, maybe once later at night? I'm currently doing 5pm only

Flowerbudd · 22/10/2020 08:36

@AMS19 HA! Mine has asked before what we say and I simply said you don't want or need to know! 😂
I used to do an OPK once a day around 10ish then when I saw a peak i usually then done another one in the evening as well. You can easily miss peaks so do what works for you but i found mine would gradually show more progression and thats when I knew to test a little more

ChinChilly · 22/10/2020 08:49

@AMS19 I use them once a day until they get the start of a line then I do 3 times a day, my peak comes and goes really quick though, within a few hours so I would miss it if I didn’t check that often!

I’m assuming ovulation was at some point yesterday my RHR is the higgest it’s even been, we’ve DTD 4 days out of 5 so I’m hoping we’ve got it covered 🤞🏼

@Trying4one great news and amazing in just two weeks you’ll hear a heartbeat! ❤️

@PumpkinEverything I don’t know how you managed to keep it a secret until Monday but what a lovely anniversary surprise! My DP had no idea what was going on when I told him!

I’ve also self referred and contacted GP. They phoned me an hour after me self referring and already have my first appointment booked at 8 weeks. On the phone 20 mins going through loads of questions then at the appointment it’ll be blood test, urine sample, height and weight. Got an early private scan booked in a couple of weeks as was told on the phone that DP can’t go to the 12 week scan at the moment but will be able to attend the 20 week scan. Fingers crossed!

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 09:18

@ChinChilly looking good! remind me, are you using anything else to track OD with?

@PumpkinEverything so sweet that you could tell OH on your anniversary! I had all these grand plans of telling OH on his bday (March), then fathers day, then our anniversary (July) and you'd think I'd have given up on these fantasies yet here I am thinking I could tell him our first night in the new house lol. There's nothing going on in Nov but I'm sure I'll be fantasising about a xmas reveal when Dec rolls around!

8DPO here and I've never felt this not tempted to test! I've got hope I might make it to AF this time Grin

ChinChilly · 22/10/2020 09:38

@Juno231 just OPK’s and a few apps, got a peak reading on CD14, currently CD16 so I’m guessing that makes me 1DPO

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 09:48

@chinchilly Ah yes, brilliant - welcome to the TWW! That sounds like a really nice length cycle as well!

AMS19 · 22/10/2020 09:53

@Juno231 you know you'll end up pregnant the month when there is no occasion 😂😂 always the way!

I've agreed to take the test with my DH (well, look at the result not literally pee in front of him) so no big reveal for me. But my mum is absolutely desperate for her first grandchild and thinks we arent trying for another 2 years, so her reveal will be the best one! Im hoping for either Xmas day if I fall this cycle or mothers day if I fall in the next two...

@Tatty1987 that is great he cna go to the 20 week. We plan to do the same, go private for the first so we both see it and make sure all okay, then I'll assume im doing 12 week and 20 week on my own, but I guess it depends on the hospital rules as they seem to differ

ChinChilly · 22/10/2020 09:54

@Juno231 I think I ovulated late last cycle, so glad it was earlier/on time this cycle! Oh gosh I feel like this TWW is going to drag, we’ve DTD as much as possible over FW so fingers crossed!

SPENCER22 · 22/10/2020 09:56

Hi all! New to this forum but hoping you can help shed a little light on my situation...

I came off the mini pill end of August to TTC and had a withdrawal bleed just over 4 weeks later. As this is now my first natural cycle, I’ve been tracking my ovulation using OPKs but so far they’ve all come back negative - and I’m now on CD23! Has anyone had the same experience?

Worth noting that I did get a flashing smiley on the CB digital stick around CD12 but it never turned to static and all cheapie OPK sticks have come back negative...

Juno231 · 22/10/2020 10:01

@AMS19 haha my OH has yet to see me wee so would die if that's how the process to see a BFP worked. When would you test btw? I've had so many BFNs in the past that I can't imagine having OH with me for each and every one of them. Apart from anything he'd think I was crazy...

The mum reveal sounds super cute though! I imagine my mum might just smile and my dad will let out a small whoop but no more than that haha. My OHs parents are very stiff upper lip as well so I'm not expecting much of a reaction there either...

Flowerbudd · 22/10/2020 10:24

@ChinChilly Ah 🤞🏻 for the TWW xx

@Juno231 I never really thought about how Id tell my OH, i had all these ideas in my head but did not happen like that. I took a test early on my own Saturday, saw the faintest line, didn't say much to him, I got up Sunday morning (6am)..saw a line but thought he was still asleep so crawled back into bed and he said 'well?' Told him, got excited, had a cuddle and went back to sleep (i didn't sleep, i was too shocked) 😂 honestly not how i planned but it's how it worked out on the day :)

Its my mum and dad I cannot wait for 💕

Love hearing stories on how people plan to do it, its such a special time that you'll never forget

ChinChilly · 22/10/2020 10:31

@Flowerbudd 🤞🏼 I haven’t even really thought about how I will tell OH, probably will be something silimar to be honest! I think I will tell my mom and dad pretty soon after we find out, we are super close and see eachother most days so I don’t think I could keep my mouth shut 😂

Sperr · 22/10/2020 11:05

@Flowerbudd that’s so cute!
