No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

Oh... I think @juno231 you might have been right... I don't think I did ovulate on CD22... my body and FF have been pranking me! 😁 my cervix is currently very high and soft again and I seriously have the horn 😂 ill test again tonight with OPK but no + yet. At least this would explain why my temperatures haven't reached the dizzy heights of 36.3 yet 😂

Juno231 · 18/10/2020 21:30

@kay00 oops I'm sorry - get on that 🍆!

Kay00 · 18/10/2020 21:39

Haha 🤣 but we dtd earlier today about 11am... but my cervix was low and hard at that time (I know, I know, I need to stop poking myself... but I just had this niggling feeling lol). Do we dtd tonight whilst my cervix is high, soft and open... but risk less sperms. Or wait until the morning when there will be more sperm but we might miss the window ?? 😆🍆

ChinChilly · 18/10/2020 22:28

Thanks @Flowerbudd premom is predicting OV on CD16 so I guess that would make sense, I’ve warned OH to prepare him self 😂😂 DTD yesterday so I’ve given him tonight off in preparation for the next few days 😂

@Kay00 @Juno231 I have to say I don’t get the whole cervix thing if it has to be high, soft and low for the spermies to get in how do they live up there for 5 days which could be before OV so in theory it would low, hard and closed how do the little feckers get it 😂😂 maybe I’m just being abit dense 🤔

Kay00 · 18/10/2020 23:13

@chinchilly 😆😆 I don't know either... its a complete mystery! And very little information about it online x

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 07:29

Morning :) @ChinChilly Haha brilliant! ☺️ lots of luck 💛

Ive been testing for a few days and seen faints but today on 11DPO I have this! Im in shock tbh and a lovely shock at that. My period is due Wednesday so still early so keeping fingers crossed its a sticky bean. The progression is good so far, from holding a torch on 9DPO to this today ☺️

Our second month off trying properly and 4ish months off Mycrogynon after 9 years on the pill.

I hope you don't mind but i'll list the biggest signs for me as it does help :)

  • cramping on the side i ovulated from 3-5DPO
  • thirsty and funny metallic taste in my mouth from 6DPO
  • shortness of breath when walking (I run 10 miles a week so this really got me thinking)
  • HR has gone up
  • backache

Still soooo early days and keeping it all crossed but Im staying here for a bit. Not ready to move over (Im a worrier so Im just not moving quickly lol)
Happy to just be involved in your convos as I really like it here and @MintGreenLife and @Juno231 Ive literally spoken to you from when this thread opened. This is such a lovely thread and sending loads of baby dust to everyone 💛 xxx

Glad I’m not the only one!

Yayyy congratulations @Flowerbudd thats a good line you’ve got there! So pleased for you ☺️ And please so stick around xx

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 07:43

@Flowerbudd aah congratulation!! So glad you finally got your BFP. Interesting that you got short of breath actually! And do please stick around ❤️

@kay00 FF says to check your cervix around the same time each day as it moves around during the day so it gives it some consistency. Just as a heads up! What did your temp do today?

TheHotelCalifornia · 19/10/2020 08:11

Ahhh @Flowerbudd that’s so so exciting, congratulations!! Looks like a great line to me!! You must be so happy, congratulations 😊 Amazing news! Thank you for sharing your symptoms; any chance you can share your FF chart too so we can see? If you have one, that is! So chuffed for you and yes please do stick around!! 😊

TheHotelCalifornia · 19/10/2020 08:18

How is everyone else doing today? I literally have no idea what's going on with my body today. Last night about 10pm I had tiny pinhead sized dots of bright red blood when I wiped. Like 3, and then they were gone. Never ever seen this before, so confusing. DPO 6 or 7. And then this morning when I woke up FF has changed my Ovulation date and now my chart doesn't look as good as when I thought it was the day before as we DTD day before and day of, but now they've moved it :( I'm still pretty sure I ovulated on CD30 as that's when I had ovulation pain (I think!) in the morning, and my peak OPK was the day before and I only had the one, about midday. All this week I've been feeling odd, shivery, going to the loo lots, a bit breathless, not able to suck my tummy in if that makes sense like quite bloated. Any thoughts? Feeling really bummed about it as I fear we may not have DTD enough now. As my first cycle was so long this is my first real post-pill cycle and I'm just obsessing so much.

@ChinChilly @Juno231 Aw thank you both. Yes the shortness of breath was weird, crazy how it changes everything.

@TheHotelCalifornia aw thank you SmileI didn't actually use FF, i just used OPKs. I don't think temping would work for me, i wake up to often 🙈

If you had pain and a positive OPK that sounds like a good sign, has the chart moved O day by a day to 31?
Fingers crossed for you ☺️ xx

mrsmacmc · 19/10/2020 08:30

@Flowerbudd lovely news to wake up too this morning ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kay00 · 19/10/2020 08:50

@flowerbudd wooop!!! Congratulations!! Such exciting news 😁 thats a lovely strong line too xx

@thehotelcalifornia I wouldn't worry as you certainly had sex enough, in fact on your two most fertile days (0-1 and 0-2) if you ovulated on CD31. Your spotting and other symptoms are pointing in the right direction too xx fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

@juno231 my temp went down to 36.05 this morning which is still above the dotted cover line but not very high for post ovulation. If I put in 3 x high temps (36.4... which is a more normal post ovulation temperature for me) over the next few days then FF moves my ovulation date to today and gives me solid cross hairs... so we shall see!

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 08:57

@mrsmacmc @Kay00 Thank you 💛 you are all so lovely xx

Tatty1987 · 19/10/2020 09:10

Many congratulations @Flowerbudd, such amazing news. Since I last wrote on here I’ve had very similar symptoms including back pain and cramping but the most noticeable has to be bloating and gassy. I’ve also just booked a 7 week private reassurance scan which I’m counting down to 🤞🏻 It’s also strange that once you find out you’re pregnant you’re already at 4 weeks - I never knew that!

MintGreenLife · 19/10/2020 09:11

@Flowerkm awwwh huge congrats! Such lovely lovely news xxx

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 09:19

@kay00 with that dip it sounds like today could be the day!

@TheHotelCalifornia cd31 looks about right temp wise. Also it still means you've had great DTD timing and o-1 and o-2 are your most fertile days!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/10/2020 09:19

Congratulations @flowerbudd!!! @Tatty1987 - burpy/gassy was definitely my weeks 4-6 symptom, then week 7 was big boobs. Now week 8 and symptomless but still testing positive so... just waiting on my scan I guess! The anxiety sadly definitely doesnt stop after BFP

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 09:49

I think I’m going to take a leaf out of your book @Flowerbudd and step back from the tracking!

@MintGreenLife how are you? How are things going with the house? xx

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 09:50

@Tatty1987 Aww, hope the scan goes ok for you, the reassurance ones i do like the idea off :) Im 4 weeks Wednesday, does feel odd that the first 2 weeks is just nothing.

@MintGreenLife thank you Smile

@TheDaydreamBelievers ooh exciting! I agree with the anxiety! Xx

MintGreenLife · 19/10/2020 09:57

@ChinChilly hey :) not great to be honest. We came up to my sister-in-laws this weekend (close to where we are moving to) and went to look at three houses. We've now also found out the house we were buying is also in a high flood risk area, so it just keeps going from bad to worse. I think we are probably going to have to pull out and put an offer in on another property. Luckily we have found something else we like, but it's further out of where we wanted to be, smaller garden etc, so not quite the same, although still lovely. I keep going back and forth with what we should do though as don't want to make the wrong decision and screw ourselves over! Feeling a bit blue about it all to be honest.

How are you getting on? I'm only CD6 today I believe, so not much happening xx

AMS19 · 19/10/2020 10:11

@Flowerbudd yay huge congratulations!!! Wow I cannot believe how many BFPs we have had in the last week or so. Incredibly exciting.

@MintGreenLife sorry to hear about the house stuff. I guess the one positive to take away from it is that it is a distraction from baby making. Work is so busy for me that is helping. As you know I'm the same as you, CD6. I think I'm gonna start OPK testing from Wednesday, given this is my first proper cycle I dont know when I ovulate (if at all yet) and all the apps are predicting this Sunday or Monday...

@TheHotelCalifornia I'm no expert but I would say your DTD looks great for where ovulation is! I would be chuffed with that if it was me.

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 10:13

@MintGreenLife oh gosh, I think you are right to pull out, it sounds like that house may be too risky especially with all the flooding we seem to have had in recent years across the country. Ahh that is really difficult, if this house purchase is going to be your forever home I would wait until you find something you love, some things such as the garden you can never change, if you want a big garden that is. If it’s not your forever home then you could compromise on stuff like that. Our house doesn’t have a very big garden but it was never our forever home so I would like our next house to have a bigger garden. House buying is really difficult, you just have to look at the things you can’t change and see if you’re happy with it, if you are then go for it!

CD13 so in my FW, OH has been pre-warned to reserve his energy 😂😂

Kay00 · 19/10/2020 10:20

@mintgreenlife I'm sorry to hear about the house you wanted to buy. If the flood risk is great then you may struggle to get insurance and you may be waiting a long while for them to remove the knott weed before your mortgage company allows you to proceed. If you still want to go for it then make sure you drive a hard bargin! Its good that you have found other houses you like xx

MintGreenLife · 19/10/2020 10:24

Thanks @AMS19 well that's true, although it's all a bit stressful to be honest. I'm going to make some phone calls today and hopefully get all the facts in a line and then will be able to make a decision. That's a good idea re OPKs. Think I'll start around CD10, although easiest I've ovulated is CD25 so far, but am using Agnus Castus this cycle, so you never know. Hope you ovulate in a nice normal time :) x

@ChinChilly we feel like we have to purchase onwards and also asap, as we don't want to lose our buyer, and as they are are first time buyer and we're already two months down the line, we don't want to slow things down, so also looking for somewhere without a chain. We've come to the decision that this next house will be a 5-10 year house, think the only reason why the whole 'forever home' thing came about is because the one we were buying was so perfect, but we didn't set out to buy out forever home from the offset. I think we are both in agreement to jump ship and go for this other one instead, think I'm just worried about something else going wrong and being right back at square one again!

Haha that's good. I never know when my FW is to be honest as I always ovulate late and at different times. Really hope it happens earlier this cycle! x
