No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@Kay00 I think there's just too many issues. Part of me wants to pursue it, but I think it's too risky to invest more time and money into it. Urgh. Yeah it's positive we have found something else :) hopefully that'll work out instead.

How are you getting on? What are you doing with your b-vits this cycle? I'm thinking I'll take a high dose b-6 as well as my b-vit complex. Think I'm going to take the b-vits throughout, and maybe b-6 from today to CD14, pause to see if I can bring on ovulation, and then start again afterwards?! Can't really work out what the right thing to do is xx

@MintGreenLife Oh ofcourse I forgot about the buyer for your current home, Sounds like you have a good plan, I’m sure everything will be ok with the other house, fingers crossed for you! House buying is horrendous we brought our house from someone we knew but it was still so stressful, our house is a 5-10 year house, we’ve been here for 2 years and I would like to move, my OH not so much so I’ve put a 10 years limit on it and we are going to have a new bathroom and kitchen put in, in the next couple of years seen as we are staying long termish! It’s big enough to be a ‘forever home’ but I think I would like to move out of the city.

MintGreenLife · 19/10/2020 10:44

@ChinChilly that's what we are doing - moving out of the city to the countryside :) Hopefully a new kitchen and bathroom will help make you feel happier there for a little while longer, although we did both, but the location was just a sticking point for us, and for both of us, which is why we've decided the best bet is to move. You never know, your OH may come round after a few more years, and then you can meet in the middle :) I suppose the most important thing when starting a family is having enough space! x

@MintGreenLife sorry to hear about the house, although I think thats the best decision :) a lot to think about and it's nice to know you do have options, it's just the weighing it all up. Countryside sounds lovely, very relaxing xx

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 11:02

@MintGreenLife I think a new kitchen and bathroom will do the job for a while & we have already spent quite abit of money on it already, to be honest there is nothing wrong with the house or area, neighbours are lovely, close to all my family & friends (OH’s live abroad) it’s a fairly large victorian house so plenty of space, parking can be a nightmare but we are lucky as the only ones on the road who have a 2 car drive. We also live a 2 minute walk from the train station and with HS2 on the way it may be best to stick it out to see if we can maximise the profits out of it. I think I would just like a quieter life as city living is quite a hussle and bussle.

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 13:00

@MintGreenLife would it be worth just selling the current property and moving into temporary accommodation until you find what you like? In this climate I think i'm just scared of the thought of losing a buyer!

5DPO here and nothing to report atm! Did 23k steps yesterday though so am still basking in that glory - it felt so good to be outside!

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 13:10

Wow go you @Juno231 I racked up 20k steps yesterday! I’m trying to drop some weight, I’m not massively over weight but I don’t feel comfortable in my cloths at the moment so back on the diet today!

MintGreenLife · 19/10/2020 13:31

@Juno231 we may have to do that if push comes to shove, but we have a high early exit fee on our mortgage (we were porting it) and so think we could do that if our buyers weren't able to wait a bit, but we would want to be some of the way down the line with purchasing a property, as we can get our early exit fee back if we take out another mortgage with the same lender in the next three months. It's all very complex ha.

@ChinChilly I totally get you. Hopefully a few more years in the city will be enough for you to make a really good profit and move on to a quieter life :) x

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 13:35

@MintGreenLife if your buyers are first time buyers they might not mind waiting, when we were buying our house we didn’t mind waiting because it gave us a few more months to save to do the things we wanted to do once we moved in, the extra months saving were a godsend in the end

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 13:48

@MintGreenLife ah crap I forgot about what that would mean for a mortgage! I wonder if they'd let you freeze it maybe due to the circumstances.. if that's even a thing!

@ChinChilly I'd LOVE to lose a stone - I've just crept into size 12 territory but most of my clothes are size 10 so I'd love to be comfortable in those again. I'm finding it so hard to diet atm though with everything else going in my life.

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 13:54

@Juno231 I’m exactly the same just crept up to size 12 except most of my close are a size 8 😭😭 not convinced I’ll get back down into those but I need to loose about a stone, I’ve already lost 12 pounds, not been very good the last 2 weeks though, when AF turned up things went down hill, I feel like my head is back in the diet game now though so would love to get this stone off before christmas.

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 14:02

@ChinChilly haha I've given up on my size 8s - I'd need to lose 2 stone for that ! I lost 11lbs in apr/may and put it back on at the end of summer...

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 14:03

@Juno231 oh well done!! Thats brilliant. Ive said to myself to try and do 10,000 a day now as Im not running i want to still feel as if Im moving lol
Feels so good to be outside but tough with the wetter weather coming in.

@ChinChilly well done on losing the 12lbs thats amazingSmile don't worry about a few off weeks, thats expected, you should be proud of that xx

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 14:13

@Juno231 I think I probably need to give up on mine to be honest 😂 it’s so easy to put it back on.

@Flowerbudd Yeah I’m not massively over weight so I was suprised how quickly it came off, which was about 3-4 weeks, I haven’t put anything on in the last 2 weeks so that’s good just got to get back into the swing of it.

I don’t run I try and just get as many steps in as I can at the moment! I used to be at the gym 5-6 days a week at 5:30 in the morning, couldn’t think of anything worse now haha

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 14:31

@ChinChilly thats really good! Well done.

😂😂 honestly, same! Id be at the gym 3-4 times a week plus classes. I just phoned mine funnily enough to cancel. Ive not been since March so I can obvs live without lol
Im only 5ft 2, size 8-10 so any extra pounds is quite noticeable on me but with Covid it made me realise that theres other ways of working out like running outside or Joe Wicks videos xx

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 14:52

@Flowerbudd I feel like I literally do not even have time for the gym anymore, I thought about taking up running but I fear I run like Pheobe from friends 😂😂

Flowerbudd · 19/10/2020 15:01

@ChinChilly 😂😂 ahh brilliant! Im not a proper 'runner' i literally jog/run about and stick to 3 miles. Don't even worry what people think, you're out there doing something for you. Even if you did run like Phoebe, if anything you'll make people smile 🙂

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 15:05

You’re so right @Flowerbudd especially if I got up and did it first thing! I never want to get up and walk the dog first thing but I feel so much better for doing it afterwards! I could take the dog for a run, but he has sniff and pee up every tree!

CharWils · 19/10/2020 15:45

@Flowerbudd congratulations, great news!

There seems to be a lot of us hanging around and not wanting to leave which is testament to such a great group of people!

Kay00 · 19/10/2020 15:47

@chinchilly nicely done loosing 12 pounds already!! 👏👏 and that's a good amount of steps you and @juno231 racked up yesterday!

I really struggle with weight loss. Im a solid size 10 weighing 10 stone... ideally would like to loose half a stone but I just don't have the willpower 😆 I bake a lot of cakes and I cook big meals from scratch pretty much every night... and I don't really want to change that. But I'm happy enough. I used to be size 16/18 when I was 16 years old and I've manged not to go back up... yet! 😆😬😁😬

@mintgreenlife in answer to your question, im still waiting for my body to ovulate (...I think??) So I have stopped the B-Vits again. Once ovulation is confirmed I'll start taking the complex again.

Im interested to see how you get on with the angus castus... if I don't catch this cycle then I'm going to give it a go... clearly my body takes ages to ovulate and is a bit rubbish at it 🙄😂

CharWils · 19/10/2020 15:48

@MintGreenLife sorry to hear about the house situ but sounds like there will be other positives to come out of it! Xx

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 15:54

@ChinChilly actually yeah I kinda forgot about your BFP - I assume you'll put the diet on hold in that case?

Sperr · 19/10/2020 15:59

People who temp, how does this work? And do I need a special thermometer? My OH is super keen now so I’m thinking to go all guns blazing this month and try everything 😂

Maria1990 · 19/10/2020 16:06

Hi all,

I'm wondering how long it took you to get your period back after coming off the pill. I came off 26th Aug. Had a light bleed for 5 days two weeks later. A week ago I had v light spotting (clear discharge with brown flecks in it) for 28 hours or so and then nothing since or in between. We're not preventing pregnancy atm so I'm not sure if I should be periodically testing for pg or just wait until I get a 'proper' period (I used to have heavy ones for 7-9days pre pill 13 years ago). The ovulation tests say to wait until you have two full periods before using them so you know your rough cycle length and I don't want to go through £s of pregnancy/ovulation tests if I don't need to (not to mention the anxiety of waiting for the result each time 😅). Anyone got any tips/experience they could share?

ChinChilly · 19/10/2020 16:14

Thanks @Kay00 just gotta shift the next 12 😂😂

I didn’t have a BFP @Juno231 I made the best typo and put BFP instead of BFN 😂😂😂 I’m hoping when I do get a BFP my diet will improve as I’m hoping it will encourage me to eat better!
