No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@ChinChilly I feel like I'm getting so ahead of myself considering the last 10 months have been duds lol. I am being even sillier and already thinking to myself that if I have a BFP this cycle (testing on 26th) and am moving on the 30th that I would hold off telling OH until then. Picturing us in the new house, mood lighting in the crappy living room whilst sitting on bean bags and celebrating being house owners with a glass of bubbly only for me to tell him then. Why do I do this to myself when odds are it's another BFN lol.

Kay00 · 15/10/2020 11:14

@Juno231 that's sounds so perfect :) I really hope it is so! Maybe your body has been holding out for this one xx

ChinChilly · 15/10/2020 11:14

Sounds amazing though @Juno231 I am exactly the same 😂😂 I’ve been mentally planning how I’m going to do my Christmas announcement 😂 not even in my FW week yet, so I’m not sure why I am doing it to myself 😕

Juno231 · 15/10/2020 11:22

@ChinChilly ha do tell us more! I'm struggling with the idea of no matter how I do it, one set of parents will know before the other and I feel guilty about that. Especially as mine are overseas so ideally I'd like to send them a parcel that they'd open during Skype call with us but I know that whatever instructions I send not to open it beforehand they'll just forget or do it anyway lol.

AnonymousXXIX · 15/10/2020 11:27

The Christmas thing crossed my mind as well. Argh torturing myself really!

ChinChilly · 15/10/2020 11:32

@Juno231 my OHs parents live abroad and mine literally 5 minutes up the road, we would probably tell both set of parents as soon as we know we are all pretty close and speak most days. For the rest of the family fairly similar to you, I was thinking either a parcel or Christmas card with a strict instruction on the front not to open until 25th December then maybe a time so everybody would know at the same time, inside the card would be a copy of a scan picture with some kind of cheesy sickly message inside 😂😂 whether they notice the instructions or just open it anyway is another story! obviously if this month isn’t the one will have to rethink it!

Hi all,

I am in a bit of a state of shock this morning. 13 DPO and have been testing since Monday with the cheapies that came with my OPKs. Today I got a VERY faint positive on the cheapie so rushed to the shop and got the clear blue ones where you can test 6 days before period (Saturday coming due according to FF) and it is definitely a BFP! Wasn't expecting to see it at all this early on.

I know I have probably been more of a 'lurker' on here as I find it so hard to keep up, but I wanted to come on and say how truly helpful I have found this thread and special thanks to @MintGreenLife and @Juno231 who have been really helpful at anytime especially when I have been unable to understand my charts, terminology etc!

Congrats to @PumpkinEverything as I can see you got your BFP too!

I really hope you all get your BFPs soon and thanks again for all your help - pretty sure I would still be non the wiser without this group xx

Oh my goodness there is 100% something in the water this week!!
Congratulations @Tatty1987 and @CharWils !

I completely get how overwhelming this feels. I tested again this morning with my cheapie and it’s still so light, but it’s there. I still don’t feel like I can believe it. My FRER have arrived early today so I’m going to try to hold off until this afternoon when I can try not to pee and drink for 2 hours and then maybe give one to try. Only 13 DPO today, CD43. Last month AF arrived on CD42 if I want to compare things.

Does anyone know when you can stop worrying about a chemical happening? I never knew this was even a thing until I started researching, and now I can’t find a clear answer about it! 😩

MintGreenLife · 15/10/2020 11:55

@CharWils huge congrats!! Aww you're so welcome xx

Congratulations @CharWils 🎉

MintGreenLife · 15/10/2020 11:58

@Juno231 just reading what you're saying about thinking about how you'd tell OH if this month is your month. I did the same a few days ago - I was trying to work out when I would test as today would have been 12DPO and my parents are staying with us over night. Was thinking whether I should test in case it was a BFP and then I wouldn't be able to hold it in if my parents were here on the same day...then AF arrived three days early - crisis well and truly averted, urgh!

Omg congrats @CharWils!

Still no AF so although I keep getting bfns on the cheapies, so this is making me ridiculously hopeful. It is going to be a very disappointing one if AF does turn up this weekend!!

Juno231 · 15/10/2020 12:02

@PumpkinEverything I'm afraid there's no end date to worrying... Once you're past the CP stage miscarriages are still common in the first trimester so I guess you can start relaxing a bit after week 12?

AMS19 · 15/10/2020 12:14

Ahh anyone else in London and Essex? Can't believe we have another lockdown!! No is definitely the time to be pregnant!

And yes....a Christmas announcement would be lovely. I'm only on CD1 so I would only be about 10 weeks by Xmas if I fell this month, so probably a bit early for me to do a big announcement, but if I wasn't drinking I guess I would have to

CharWils · 15/10/2020 12:23

Thanks guys!

@PumpkinEverything looks like we are the same ovulation date then! Sure your first response will be BFP too.

Feel sooo overwhelmed with it all, excited but also scared/cautious at the time and about 90% not believing it as only second cycle!

@AnonymousXXIX my cheapies right up until this morning were stark white so fingers crossed! Impressed they showed anything this early tbh.

Moocher90 · 15/10/2020 12:23

@CharWils congratulations

@AMS19 yes work London and live in Essex x nature of my job means I go to work regardless! X

CharWils · 15/10/2020 12:30

Congratulations to you aswell @Tatty1987

Juno231 · 15/10/2020 12:39

@CharWils omg I nearly missed your message! Huge congrats and I'm so happy I could help! We're very fertile on here this week hey!

@AMS19 yup I'm London based. I wasn't really mixing with other households anyway but does this mean I have to wfh...? I don't want to!

Kay00 · 15/10/2020 12:40

Oh yey!! Congratulations @CharWils Some excellent lines there!

Flowerbudd · 15/10/2020 13:07

@CharWils oh wow!! Congratulations Grin something deffo in the water, this is a lucky month for some ☺️☺️ xxx

AMS19 · 15/10/2020 13:13

@CharWils sorry totally missed your news...yay!!!

@Juno231 I've been wfh since March so no idea. I know they have said avoid public transport which is London means going nowhere pretty much!

Tatty1987 · 15/10/2020 14:21

@CharWils many congrats to you too! I haven’t been able to concentrate on work today 😂

Thanks everyone, this group has been such a great place for information - better than any website I’ve looked at so thank you!

Planning to tell my fiancé tonight, I just don’t think I can keep it a secret until weekend 😬

Juno231 · 15/10/2020 14:43

@Tatty1987 got anything planned in terms of telling him or chucking the wee stick in his face? Grin

@AMS19 ha well this month I'm actually walking distance to the office so been getting my steps in!

AMS19 · 15/10/2020 14:45

@Juno231 chucking the wee stick in his face cracked me up! So lucky to be able to walk, do you live centrally or work on the outskirts?

AnonymousXXIX · 15/10/2020 14:48

Oh got his results and they're not good; like very low :( I feel so bad for him. But also what do we do now?
