No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@MintGreenLife I know, my husband just said something similar, but I just think I’d feel guilty. I’m not even a big drinker, it’s just because we went out for dinner last night and I really wanted some then but said no 🙈

@Trying4one that sounds like a really good idea! And very tasty too actually.
Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that! Hopefully he does find something soon 🤞🏻 It’s just such a hard year with everything. I’m really glad you got your own positive news to at least bring something good to this year ❤️
I hate hormones so much! I sat and cried to my husband and I feel like I’m putting myself under too much pressure with everything like work, and making use of our time off etc. He said I’m giving myself FOMO with myself 🙈 I think I’m just frustrated because we were supposed to be on a proper holiday now for our anniversary, and we then decided to go over the border to Ireland, and now they’re in lockdown by county, so we’re moving to a third plan 🤦‍♀️

Trying4one · 11/10/2020 19:02

@PumpkinEverything I completely feel you. I had two holidays abroad cancelled this year and we have two vouchers ( from the cancellations to use). We are thinking of booking a baby moon but realistically we don't know whether that would just get cancelled and thetefore do I want to get my hopes up.
I have said to my husband I am going to miss alcohol. I don't get drunk but it is just the taste of the drinks so I shall be making my own mocktails to feel like I am not missing out. My husband said he will give up alcohol too as he thinks it isn't fair if he drinks, bless him.
You need to give yourself a rest. Whether that is a bath, spa day or mediate. Don't be too harsh on yourself x

Flowerbudd · 11/10/2020 19:04

@ChinChilly You've made me question my username now so changed the ending of mine (Flowerkm) 😂

Hope you're ok and managed to find something that picked you up. You're not being silly, it is stressful and you do put pressure on yourself but try and relax 💕

@Lovebug06 fingers crossed for you! DTD over those days sounds good! Im in my TWW now, only 3DPO.

@Puffin85 I remember have creamy discharge as well actually, especially towards the end of my LP but used to get it throughout, and it would then turn to EWCM :)

Hope everyones well, been catching up this evening with everyones post xx

Puffin85 · 11/10/2020 19:27

Thanks @Flowerbudd I was thinking it's probably not as simple as the neat CM charts on Google would suggest 🙂they're all like, first you will be dry, and then for 2 days you will be sticky etc etc...

@PumpkinEverything is the third plan also a holiday? It's so weird isn't it not being sure plans will work out. Had to cancel a holiday earlier in the year and we're just sitting tight for now.

Are people expecting more lockdown restrictions where they live from tomorrow? I'm in the NW, but away from any major hotspots, but a lot of my family are under local restrictions already.

ChinChilly · 11/10/2020 19:27

Thanks @Flowerkm but to be honest I’ve felt crappy all weekend, I was in bed yesterday afternoon with a terrible headache, I’ve felt sick all weekend, just nearly threw up walking my dog! My AF has been all over the shop, so not sure whats gone on there! I probably am abit stressed with work and this bloody course I really wish I hadn’t started ARGHHH 😂😂

And my friend announced she’s pregnant, wasn’t planned and they didn’t want any children! I’m really happy for her but also abit like WTF!

I think I’ll feel better once I’m back in my FW but for now even that feels so far away, OH has booked his night shifts off as these would of fell over FW and his shifts are 12hr so we are abit like passing ships when he’s on nights.

Oh god, rant over 😂

Flowerbudd · 11/10/2020 19:44

@Puffin85 Never as simple as google suggests.
Im in the South East and hoping we'll be ok, but really not that sure now :( sorry to hear some of your family are under local lockdowns, really sucks right now.

@ChinChilly Oh bless you, you really are going through it. That doesn't sound fun, hope it all settles for you soon.
Thats really sweet your OH has your FW week off. Plenty of time for BD 😃

Aw, its always hard hearing that sort of news from people close to you, i don't get how it 'just happens' for some 😂 xx

ChinChilly · 11/10/2020 19:50

@Flowerbudd I know, I think I may need to book some time off work by the sounds of it 😂😂 atleast I think the COVID marshalling I got roped into is coming to an end, it isn’t helping rates are still through the roof here!

I know! And as for those who get pregnant on the pill...REALLY? 😂😂

AMS19 · 11/10/2020 20:06

Evening ladies!!
So many in their TWW, so exciting. Hoping for lots of new graduates in the next couple of weeks.

I'm wondering what Boris update will bring tomorrow. I'm in London which is on a watchlist so expecting we might move to his new Level 2 and ban mixing households. I saw my best friends, mum and dad last week just in case. When I sai bye to my mum I said ""see you around Christmas." So odd isnt it!

My "good" news today was premom for the first time ever didn't give me an error message from my OPk. It was only 0.08% but you gotta take these small wins where you can havent you 😂😂

CD24 for me!

Puffin85 · 11/10/2020 20:17

@AMS19 I wonder if we'll be allowed to mix at Christmas... 😰I hope so. Fingers crossed lockdowns now help with that. Haha Boris will be worried, imagine having to be the prime minister who cancelled Christmas.

Yaay! You got some LH in your wee! That's great. Hooray for not getting an error message 👍

Kay00 · 11/10/2020 22:18

@ams19 ooh, exciting, hopefully something is starting to stir!!

@puffin85... nope, its never that simple! My CM is pretty much dry all month with a little creamy then in FW wet and if I'm very lucky I get EWCM.

And this week I have been lucky!! I have had EWCM today!! Woop! And my temp has dropped the last couple of mornings so I'm hoping ovulation is happening 😁 i haven't detected any positive OPKs but I was unable to test most of yesterday and today all have been negative... maybe I misses my positive again? I suppose a jump in temperature will tell me if I have ovulated or not... fingers crossed 🤞

Puffin85 · 12/10/2020 08:19

@Kay00 ohh does temp drop before ovulation? As well as rise after? Just started tempting today. Lots to learn! Hopefully you'll see a rise in your temps. Hooray for the EWCM too

Kay00 · 12/10/2020 08:26

@Puffin85 yes it can, although it doesn't have to. My temperature dipped a little further today, so I haven't ovulated yet. I'll keep testing OPKs today and see if I get a peak. Hoping I get a temperature rise tomorrow. We did the deed on Sat, twice yesterday and i'll try and drag DH into bed this afternoon too Grin!

Puffin85 · 12/10/2020 08:52

@Kay00 well done with all the baby dancing! Hope you get your peak today - sounds like you would have a good chance this month if you did

AnonymousXXIX · 12/10/2020 09:09

10dpo today and getting to that bit where it's... af coming, or not? (My luteal phase is 10-14 days.) Currently no symptoms of anything at all but could change any moment.

Juno231 · 12/10/2020 09:22

Hi girls, just checking in! Sorry to hear about the house @MintGreenLife - fingers crossed the sellers give in and drop the price! I'm terrified the house we bought has big issues that we just didn't understand were big issues at the survey point lol. But the bank agreed to the valuation after seeing the survey report so hopefully it's not too bad.

CD11 here and had EWCM yesterday so I'm def in FW. Blank OPKs so far though. Feels like the least stressful FW so far though, like I'm finally confident that it'll happen and I won't miss it and DTD 1-2 times just before OD will be fine. Just looking forward to it instead!

MintGreenLife · 12/10/2020 09:38

Morning @Juno231 thanks :) we've fully accepted we may have to walk away, I mean we will walk away if they don't agree to sort out the knot weed and come down in price. We're going to start negotiations today, but are also going to book in to go and see a few houses this weekend just in case. It's pretty sucky, but what can you do.

Yay for being in the FW, really hope this month is your month! I'm 8DPO now, my temp dropped a little at 7DPO and again today, but still well above the cover line. Hoping it goes back up tomorrow x

Kay00 · 12/10/2020 09:40

@Juno231 That's good :) Its nice that you are feeling more relaxed about it. I'm feeling quite excited again as DH seems to have got over his little wobble and is happy to be trying for a baby again. Its particularly good that it has coincided with my FW. I do worry that we DTD twice yesterday and once the day before - will his sperm be mature enough for the egg? Its all so complicated - haha!

@MintGreenLife Also i'm sorry to hear about the house. It would be good if they could move quickly to eliminate the knotweed and drop the price (its sounds like they don't have much choice) but I highly recommend you view these other properties asap just in case you fall in love with one and can move faster towards completion.

@juno231 I feel (having been in this house for 2.5 years now) that pretty much every issue on a house is resolvable... although not always cheap!

PumpkinEverything · 12/10/2020 11:59

@Trying4one thank you for listening to my rants! 😂🙈 I got a pizza for dinner last night and sat and watched a Disney Halloween film. I barely slept last night for some reason, but woke up feeling a good bit more positive today. Think maybe I just needed a little cry 😳😂

@Puffin85 not really a holiday as such, our plan B was only a 2 hour drive away from us to stay for 2 nights. So I think we may try to do something similar as our third plan, but within the border lines this time 😂 we never really pick ‘Nice’ hotels as we usually go away for a few weeks and just see it as somewhere to sleep, but for our anniversary we wanted to treat ourselves to somewhere a bit fancier, just because it’s our first anniversary and this year has been so bad. I think we have new rules in place from today, but to be honest, it’s all stuff I thought already was a rule, and also all very confusing and contradictory 🤦‍♀️ We’re already not allowed to mix households indoors at the moment for another few weeks, only in public places or outdoors.

@AnonymousXXIX same as me! I woke up this morning with that feeling down there as if AF was starting where I was a bit scared to move and had to rush to the toilet. Nothing appeared tho and all good so far! I’ve been an irritated, emotional mess this last week, which I would say is not normal to me, I’m never usually just as bad as I have been. Woke up feeling more positive today though, so I’m hoping I’m done. I also wonder if my hormones are becoming a bit more normal after the pill now and I’m actually starting to get PMS which might explain the craziness 😂

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 12:10

@PumpkinEverything we all need to rant so don't worry 😊 a good cry always helps bring my stress levels down.
I never got PMS on or off the pill so if I was irritated it was for a reason. I was pretty irritable for no real reason last monday. i blamed my hormones and wondered if I was pregnant and I was 😂

Puffin85 · 12/10/2020 14:15

@PumpkinEverything I think it can be stressful and tiring in itself focusing on what your body is doing and wondering what's going on. I used to have bad anxiety, which meant I spent a lot of time worrying about how I felt emotionally and how my body felt - does my stomach feel tense? What's my heart rate like? Which obviously only made me feel more anxious. Haven't done a 2ww yet, but I've already found I've been quite preoccupied, such as when watching something funny on TV with my partner, he'll be laughing at all the jokes whereas I'm not paying that much attention to the screen because I'm thinking about TTC (he is totally chill about the whole thing). Can't remember if I've said this somewhere already, but I've decided that I am going to try see the process as an opportunity to take care of myself too, like if it takes a year to get a BFP then at least I will be super healthy at the end of it because of all the vitamins, cutting down on alcohol and caffeine, doing exercise etc? Haha no idea how long my resolve will hold on this, but it does seem like it could be a helpful way to think about it? That said, I do hope it's a lucky month for you 🙂but I wouldn't worry about feeling down or having to have a bit of a cry, it's a bit of a killer mixture isn't it... hormones, not knowing what's happening with your body, work being annoying, lockdowns.

Btw I know what you mean about confusing lockdown rules. When the rule of 6 came in here it seemed like suddenly more households were allowed to meet indoors than before 🤔interested to see what BJ has to say later.

PumpkinEverything · 12/10/2020 14:32

@Trying4one all my fingers are crossed that that is the reason I’ve been feeling like this, at least then I’ll have an excuse 😳 I’ve been feeling a bit guilty about it and I think even my husband is wondering what’s wrong with me. He made the dinner most days last week when normally he is the one who’s late so it’s me that makes it, or we take it in turns 😂

@Puffin85 I know exactly what you mean. It really does take up so much of your brain thinking about it all. It would be nice to watch tv properly without being distracted 🙈 you’re very right though about using this time to take care of yourself. If it does take a year (which hopefully it doesn’t), at least you should hopefully be in a good place physically and mentally 😊

Sperr · 12/10/2020 20:00

Anyone in the TWW got any symptoms?

xoriea · 12/10/2020 20:29

Hi everyone, came off the

xoriea · 12/10/2020 20:40

Hi everyone, new here! I came off the pill 27th September and it's my very first time TTC so very excited! I've already been feeling very tired, going to the loo a lot and have weird twinges in belly. Is this just my body sorting itself out after coming off or do we think its really early signs?

AnonymousXXIX · 12/10/2020 20:43

@sperr nothing in any direction really. Some twinges now, but could be implantation, could be the suspected cysts, could be AF coming.
