No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@PumpkinEverything I just did my cheapie which shows from 20 Miu/ml and there is a faint line. Not sure if I should get a FRER to compare to the FRER I did at 10dpo. 🤦
@Sarahp2308 there is no way of us telling parents without having to tell siblings.
@MintGreenLife in a previous life I used to work in estate agency and I am sorry to hear about the Japanese knotweed. You would be best of getting the sellers to treat it

@MintGreenLife the seller is going to find the same problem with anyone who wants to buy thier house, they will want the knot weed treated and the price to reflect the work that needs doing so it would be in their interest to reduce the price so hopefully they look at it like that, it’s good that you have found some others you like, you never know you might see one of the others and fall in love with it.

@Trying4one I think my OH siblings would find out, to be honest I’m very much a talker about problems so if I was to have a MC I would have to talk to people about it anyway! My friend is the only other person who knows we are TTC so I would probably tell her, oh gosh the list is getting abit long now 🤣🤣

PumpkinEverything · 10/10/2020 20:36

I so feel for you @MintGreenLife that’s all the best things in line! I hope you’re able to find something that works for you that keeps you going, but even more so, I hope this is your month. Almost halfway through the wait Grin

@Trying4one oh I can definitely see it so that’s good Grin you could maybe do that if you’re wanting to do exact comparisons to see the progression, but I think that’s still a very good line. Especially since the camera sometimes doesn’t pick things up too clearly

MintGreenLife · 10/10/2020 22:04

Thanks @Trying4one that's the plan, will have to see what they say! If that's something they will do it'll need to be done within a set time frame so that we can hold them to it and if not move on so we can keep our buyer.

@Sarahp2308 hopefully they will think just as rationally, I'm not holding my breath though! Still hoping it works out, but have accepted there's a high chance it won't.

@PumpkinEverything thanks so much ☺️ It's a pain but if it makes me feel better it'll be worth it in the long run. Think the only silver lining to the property drama I'm having is that it is distracting me from the TWW, so I haven't been too bad for obsessing...yet 😂 X

@PumpkinEverything I really need to step away from the tests and accept that what will be will be. 🙈🤣
@MintGreenLife fingers crossed 🤞 mortgage companies are a bugger with Japanese knotweed. End of the day the seller with struggle to sell the property without treating it as everyone knows it is a no go. So they need to do it really

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 13:26

@MintGreenLife I think I need a distraction. It feels like this last week has went soooo slowly 🙈 when are you thinking about testing or are you waiting until you miss AF?

@Trying4one haha, I think I will be the same to be honest, the more involved I seem to get in this whole thing! When are you thinking about calling your GP? I think I remember you saying you wanted to wait a little bit to be sure it sticks

Trying4one · 11/10/2020 13:45

@PumpkinEverything I called them at the end of the week and they told me to call back when I get to 8 weeks 🤣🤦 so I have called the hospital so they can't get it sorted from their side as I believe I will have doctor lead care anyway.

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 14:23

@Trying4one wow really?! Do you not need to go in and get blood tests or anything done for them to confirm?

ChinChilly · 11/10/2020 14:25

I’ve had a username changed from (sarahp2308) realised it made me pretty identifiable 😂😂

Still having a strange AF this time, I felt really positive to begin with feeling abit down about it all now, this is only cycle 4 so I really need to pick myself up and stop being silly 😕

Keeping everything crossed for the house @MintGreenLife

Trying4one · 11/10/2020 14:33

@PumpkinEverything that's what I said to the receptionist and she was like nope. Call at 8 weeks and we will arrange a call with the doctor. Really shocked as It means you spend a lot of the first trimester on your own and having to Google stuff. What if you don't know how far along you are?! Hoping that I will at least hear from the hospital in the next week or so

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 14:39

@Trying4one that’s absolutely ridiculous! Is this because of covid that they’re doing this? I thought you always had to go in to confirm. (Not saying this about you) but what if someone isn’t even pregnant and goes 8 weeks thinking they are?! Or as you say, is further along than they thought meaning that they’re getting that first appointment far too late. I really hope you hear from the hospital soon so you can see someone

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 14:40

@ChinChilly was it still just the one day you believe was AF? Or has it come back again

Trying4one · 11/10/2020 14:52

@PumpkinEverything no idea but this appointment is only going to be a telephone appointment because of COVID and then they said I would book in for a ultrasound at 12 weeks. That's ok for people without issues but you would think they would at least check that you are actually pregnant. I feel like it means that if you have a miscarriage during this time you are on your own which just doesn't seem right. I am hoping this isn't just the standard now across the UK. I know we have a pandemic but come on we need support and shouldn't have to resort to Google. I am hoping that I will get an earlier scan due to being high risk but I suppose I will find out 🤷

AMS19 · 11/10/2020 15:02

@Trying4one I dont know where your based, but where I am in London there are loads of local private places, a few on Groupon, which are really reasonable for an early scan - about £50. So if you don't get what you need it might be an option. Appreciate not ideal but if it puts your mind at rest might be worth the money. Given partners can't go to scans that is what we will do at about 8 - 10 weeks so we are together for the first one at least!

Trying4one · 11/10/2020 15:08

@AMS19 I am based in Oxfordshire. I think we are planning on having a private scan for around 16 weeks so we could find out the gender together as I want my husband to be able to come to a least one scan. My consultant said at my last appointment that he would get my care transferred from endocrine to the big main hospital to be kept an eye on. The annoying thing is that I live a mile away from a hospital but the maternity was downgraded a few years to midwife only care so have to travel to Oxford for my doctor based care. That's going to be fun when I go Into labour 🤦 it is 40 minute drive with no traffic and around hour and a half on a bad day

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 15:08

@Trying4one this is so ridiculous! I actually can’t believe that. As you say, if anything was to happen and you’re completely on your own, and also, so many women who have never been pregnant before and don’t know what is and isn’t normal. All fingers crossed you’re able to get an earlier scan😔

MintGreenLife · 11/10/2020 15:25

@Trying4one yes totally, unless they sort that they will really struggle to sell, so would make no sense to say no and then just put it back on the market 🤷🏻‍♀️

@PumpkinEverything I haven't really thought about it to be honest! I think I'd like to wait until at least 12DPO, but I actually have no idea how long my luteal phase really is. How are you getting on? X

OP posts:
ChinChilly · 11/10/2020 16:10

@PumpkinEverything it was strange I had some brown spotting then the day after that what i would say a normal day 1 of AF fairly heavy, then the last 3 days have been on and off, when its on its really light! I would say it was AF as including the brown spotting the day before its been about 5 days which I think is too long for IB

Lovebug06 · 11/10/2020 17:17

Hi everyone,
Haven't messaged for a few days, hectic week.
I had a lot of EWCM yesterday morning. DH worked until evening. I had no more all day then a small amount not long after he got home. We dtd last night. No more today so I think it's all done. I had done it this week too but do you think last night was in with a chance or too late?
I don't do my temperature but it was high at work, but came down about three days before my EWCM?
I'm just going to read and catch up. Hope everyone is doing well. My TWW has begun Smile

PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 17:56

@MintGreenLife I’m the same boat as you and have no idea how long my LP is either. I’m trying to prepare myself for AF to show up any day now judging by the length of all my last cycles. Seems like there’s a possibility of it being a lot of day’s this week if I’m having any sort of pattern. Today’s been the first day I’ve felt even sort of tempted, not sure why. Think I’d like to hold off until at least 12 DPO if I last that long too without AF 🤞🏻

MintGreenLife · 11/10/2020 18:12

@PumpkinEverything how many DPO are you now? I do have some cheapie tests, so maybe I'll test at 12DPO if AF hasn't arrived by them. I'm very intrigued to see how long my lutesl phase is. Fingers crossed we both have 10+ days ☺️ Xx

OP posts:
PumpkinEverything · 11/10/2020 18:36

Currently 9 DPO @MintGreenLife so not much longer to go. I feel like I’m having terrible mood swings this week though and I just want it to stop! I’ve actually just had a cry at how fed up I am with everything and how much unknown there is right now with wondering could I be pregnant, so therefore can’t even enjoy a glass of wine, and what are we doing for our wedding anniversary (it’s in a week tomorrow), and what’s happening with covid. All a lot of things out of my control, which I hate on a normal day!

MintGreenLife · 11/10/2020 18:41

@PumpkinEverything that's good you haven't got long to go now ☺️ Fingers crossed. The general advice seems to be a glass or two of wine here and there in the TWW is fine, so if it'll make you feel a bit better I say have one x

OP posts:
Trying4one · 11/10/2020 18:42

@PumpkinEverything I went around Sainsbury's and bought soft drink that I wouldn't normally have on a day to day basis and using them as my alcohol substitute. I had a rhubarb and cardamom soda last night with ginger ale in to make it more like a rhubarb gin with ginger ale 😂
We have our 11 years together anniversary in 2 weeks and most likely doing nothing as my husband lost his job due to COVID and still not working 🤦
Hormones are a bugger for a female pregnant or not pregnant. Don't be too hard on yourself. Hopefully you will know in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed for your BFP 🤞 x

Puffin85 · 11/10/2020 18:50

Hello! Hope everyone is doing OK this evening. Question about CM and coming off the mini pill... (TMI warning)... So for the last 5 days I've been having creamy CM. It doesn't seem to be progressing onto wet/clear CM. I haven't been off the pill long, just into my second week off it now. Because there haven't been any CM changes over several days, I'm wondering if the CM is just due to my hormones being batty, rather than I'm progressing to EWCM and ovulation. Did anyone else have creamy CM for lots of days after coming off the pill/mini pill? Haha sorry if this is a weird question. I'm over analysing! Thanks everyone
