@SarahMumof1DS aww what a shame. I was really hoping you would get you bfp this month!

I think that I must have ovulated as the levels have dropped since then. I think I ovulated during the night as I woke up to check on my son and felt really dizzy. Dizziness has become a new ovulation symptom since my miscarriage. I’m only 3dpo if I’m correct and getting some mild twinges and cramping. Just got to survive the 2WW now. I hate the 2WW!

Thank you for your reply.and welcoming me to the thread.
I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks earlier on this yr , I attended ( husband not allowed in!) my dating scan to find out the baby had died at 12 weeks 😔. We tried again last month for the 1st time and no joy but no fertile discharge or at least not a lot! So hence why I thought of using the pre- seed. Im 37 , we have 3 older children and when my youngest started school we decided to try again! I have just suffered 1 mc and feel anxious about trying again but now I have been pregnant , I am keen for it to happen again! My husband is ready when I am, he has been v. Supportive xx

Sorry for your loss @MgW1. I had a missed miscarriage in August. TTC after miscarriage is a rollercoaster isn’t it. Fingers crossed we get our rainbow babies.

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 22:25

Hello fellow Monicas @SparkyLauz, @Lemongrass9 and @redpeppersoup Grin Hope you are all doing ok? I cant wait for the next week or so to roll and AF is done and dusted! Xxx

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 22:31

@MgW1 Oh gosh, you have been through quite a journey, I am so sorry to hear that and can understand why you are anxious 😔 It sounds like you have a wonderful DH and I am glad he is very supportive. Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust for a speedy BFP 🤞. Are you taking any vitamins? Xxx

MgW1 · 21/10/2020 22:47

@ gracie2307
Im taking seven seas trying for a baby and my husband takes a vitabiotics vitamin supplement for men. I might switch to vitabiotics pre conception viatmins next month if no luck. I think the lack of fertile discharge is due to my hormones. I have had 3 proper periods following the mc and the 1st two I ovulated a week before my period. This time its mid cycle so its a good sign that my cycle is trying to regulate its self 🤞🏻
Have you been trying long?

Flittingaboutagain · 21/10/2020 22:56

Thanks.

We just have to carry on don't we. This time my partner was feeling a bit low about things not related to TTC and it was really difficult as he didn't fancy DTD and obviously I felt for him but also felt secretly gutted. What can we do though hey Confused

redpeppersoup · 21/10/2020 23:22

@gracie2307 I’m doing fine, thanks for checking in lovely! Still a little bit crampy today but looking forward to trying again this month - I have my OPKs ready 😂 what day of your cycle are you meant to start testing? How you feeling today? X

@SarahMumof1DS so sorry to hear about your DH, that must be really tough to deal with, here if you need to chat Flowers X

Does anyone else find it really hard not to share details about TTC? I’m a bit of an oversharer and quite a few of my friends have been subjected to me moaning about AF showing up so late 🙈 god knows how I’ll manage to keep my mouth shut for 12 weeks if I get a BFP!

MamaPheebz · 22/10/2020 07:57

@redpeppersoup you don’t have to keep it a secret if you don’t want. I won’t be. After my miscarriage I wanted everyone to know my baby existed and needed my friends to be there for me. Now I don’t see the point in not telling anyone. Your personal choice of course. Also the first 12 weeks can be pretty tough on your body. You might need some support lol. I hate the first trimester. Smile

MgW1 · 22/10/2020 08:24

@redpeppersoup
Morning! I am sure your friends wont mind you telling them stuff , its what friends are there for! I told a few people at work when i was going for my dating scan and then word got round that I was pregnant and then I had a miscarriage so my manager had to tell people , I felt anxious about returning ( had 8 weeks off) but glad they knew what had happened otherwise they would be wondering why I had been off sick.
My husband refers to the vitamins i got him to take as 'jizz pills' 🙈, I told my friend and she was mortified , shes a tad bit prude!! 🤣
I got some cheap opk's off the internet and thought yesterday I was positive but i have tested this morning ( 2nd wee) and it is stronger than control line - i assume its peaked?! Says on the sperm meets egg plan to dtd every night for 3 nights ? 🤯🤪🤪 ?? Xxx

Emc16x · 22/10/2020 08:55

Got my BFN this morning. I kind of knew it was coming as I didn’t get any positive opks this month but it’s still as ever as ever. Actually dreading telling my DH. He really gets upset.

January seems so far away for the fertility clinic.

Anybody else been to a fertility clinic? What’s the procedure? Xxxx

ValliBec · 22/10/2020 09:02

@redpeppersoup morning! I wouldn’t worry about keeping things to yourself, it helps to have a good vent and get these things off your chest! That’s what friends are there for, whether they like it or not 😛
@MgW1 I feel for you having to go through that scan alone 😒 I was also alone when I found out I had miscarried (started bleeding while DH was at work so went by myself to the hospital) and it’s so hard!! I was crying in the lift while old people were being wheeled in on beds wondering what was going on 🤦‍♀️ On a happier note, I love your husband’s name for his vitamins - you’ve got to inject a bit of fun into this whole darn thing! I might start calling my DH’s vitamin tablets the same 😂

MgW1 · 22/10/2020 09:39

@Emc16x
I do not know much about fertility clinics , its surely a step in the right direction if you have been trying a while. Has your G.P prescribed medication for hormones etc ? Or does that come after ? They will assess both you and your husband I guess.
An old colleague of mine tried for a long time , had IVF successfully and then went on to conceive naturally - she thought it was stress the first time round that effected her. Xxx

Sunflowers81 · 22/10/2020 09:48

@SarahMumof1DS I'm so sorry to hear that about DH, that must be so hard for you.
I really hope you guys get some answers soon and things can get back to normal. Take care of yourself in the meantime.
Bloating Is the worst! It's so uncomfortable! I hope it goes soon.

Hey @gracie2307 That's great news! oooh a facial will be amazing! Sorry to hear about the acne, my skin acts up around af time, like we need any extra hassle!
I won't quit coffee now either, gosh I need it too!

A/F has arrived properly now, very heavy as usual. I don't feel so bad about it as I have so much support here. It's wonderful to have this place, and to know that you guys are in this with me.

@MamaPheebz your lines look great! I hated the 2ww too! Do lots of lovely things for yourself to take your mind off it. Sending lots of baby dust your way.

@MgW1 welcome to the thread. I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. That's so sad.
How are you doing now?
I had a m/c in 2014 and again in march this year.
I love the name jizz pills! Your DH is brilliant! I asked my partner if he wanted to take vitamins last night, I'm going to call them jizz pills now, he will love that!

Ladies which is the best app to use please? I would like to do some kind of charting this month. And which vitamins (and jizz pills, haha!) should we be taking?

MgW1 · 22/10/2020 10:07

@Sunflowers81
Thank you for the message, I just take seven seas but will try vitobiotics pre conception when ( and if) I get AF. They have good reviews. Also the preceive and conceive plus have good reviews but a bit more expensive. My husband is on the good all rounder vitabiotics 'well man'. It has high levels of vit B12. He says it makes his urine bright yellow so dont know if it filled with more vitamins than necessary and its the body getting rid of it or what .... I am not sure.
Yes its been a really difficult time , I was off work for quite a few weeks because I felt so down. As soon as it happened I just felt that it must not have been quite right and there must have been an abnormality and then the hormones kicked in and I was an emotional mess! Its was also a very traumatic experience just to be sent home with a leaflet as I would have preferred a D&C so I could be assured that at 12 weeks everything had come away, but because of covid its wasnt possible. Anyway , I didnt get an infection and bleeding stopped after 2 weeks. I dont feel my cycle has properly regulated itself , I maybe rushing nature using pre-seed now for next few days but only time will tell if its too early. Xx

SarahMumof1DS · 22/10/2020 11:10

@ValliBec @Sunflowers81 @MamaPheebz @redpeppersoup. @Theawkwardblonde, thank you all for your kind words and support. It really makes a difference when each day is like a minefield. It's been so stressful with what's happened but we're getting through it despite the bad days that feel like a major setback. I don't get much time for myself but my little really keeps me going so that's a blessing.
Strangely though, It has been a nice break from TTC which has actually helped my outlook on how I want to ttc going forward, with my mindset (if we do get to that point).

I felt so bloated in the night and my belly looks big today. I reckon AF will be here soon. My temp went back up this morning a little so still might have a chance but usually around cd26 it starts to decline before AF.

Really appreciate the support on this forum. Sending baby dust to you all for your BFPs. ❤️xx

@MamaPheebz I'm glad you got your positive ov. I get my ov pains early morning lately in my sleep and wakes me up. Hope you have a sane TWW and got my fx for you x

Sunflowers81 · 22/10/2020 14:20

@MgW1 Thank you, that's really helpful.
Oh no, the hospital just sent you home? Two weeks is a long time to be bleeding, and going through it all, you poor thing. I'm sorry you felt so down, and I'm not surprised at all, a miscarriage is traumatic and it takes quite a while to feel even ok again. Lots of self care is needed, then and now. xx

@SarahMumof1DS Thank you, lots of baby dust to you too. xx

SarahMumof1DS · 22/10/2020 14:26

@MgW1 I'm very sorry for your loss, that's so sad and terrible for you to go through. I wish you all the luck for your BFP and sticky bean xx

OP posts:
MgW1 · 22/10/2020 18:26

@Sunflowers81
Yes they sent me home , you had to wait for a natural miscarriage and if nothing happened within 2 weeks they would prescribe medication and if still nothing then d&c. That is York hospital though , may be different in other parts of the country. Anyway, i have my off days still but positive for the future , hoping to catch on by February which would have been my due date 🤞🏻 I think it will make it much more bearable.
@SarahMumof1DS
Thank you , fingers crossed for you too 🤞🏻 xx

redpeppersoup · 22/10/2020 18:49

@MamaPheebz, @MgW1 and @ValliBec thanks, it’s good to know that it’s quite common not to keep it a secret! I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve all experienced losses, wishing you the best of luck TTC your rainbow babies Flowers

@Sunflowers81 I’ve just downloaded the premom app and I’m going to start tracking my temp and using OPKs - it lets you log it all in the same place so I think it’ll be quite a good one to use! Thought I was doing plenty just tracking my cycles but it seems that’s not the case 😂

@SarahMumof1DS fingers crossed that AF doesn’t show up Smile I was just talking to a friend the other day about mindset and how it can affect TTC, and I think it’s something I need to bear in mind as I can definitely see myself being one of those women that stress so much about it that it doesn’t happen! x

ACNass · 22/10/2020 20:04

Hi ladies, I did a test today bc the waiting got the best of me. I'm either 9 or 10 DPO. Does anyone see a super faint line here or are my eyes playing tricks? I put an arrow where I think I see it. I have a few more tests so will test again over the next few days
