@SarahMumof1DS thanks hun 😘 AF due here on Monday! It is hard to keep positive, especially when symptoms start fading ☹️ One blessing is in travelling (no lockdown or anything where I live) to visit my sister & dad tomorrow with my two boys And will be away for 5 nights so that will help take my mind off everything, and will be great to have a few drinks with my sister! 💖 good luck, keep me posted with how you get on xx

Farfaraway1 · 21/10/2020 08:40

@Lemongrass9 I know what you mean! At least when AF arrives you know definitively what the result is and can move on and start planning for the next month, rather than being in limbo and the ‘what if’s’ xx

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 08:40

Morning ladies

@SunnydazeQ Hope you are all good. Hopefully your OPK should turn positive over the next few days - did you see any light second lines? Thank you, I am feeling better today, had a cheeky glass of wine last night, because it was Tuesday and thought why not Grin

SarahMumof1DS · 21/10/2020 08:59

@Theawkwardblonde yeah they say the supplements can affect people. I never noticed any side effects with Pregnacare but others did. It must go across all brands.
Well despite your symptoms I do hope you get a BFP and not AF. Though if she's gona arrive I hope it's on time and you're not waiting around again. Fx for you. I had spotting 4 days before period one month which isn't normal for me if that makes you feel better. I definitely think stress affects our cycles. It's just too much of a coincidence that many women's cycles change after starting ttc.

I'm feeling fine now thank you. I'm pretty sure it's a low chance for me this month and probably for the best. I'm due AF Sunday. Had left side pain in the night which was weird and been having a fullness feeling near bladder sometimes god knows what's going on. Am pretty sure AF will arrive bang on time as normal. Expecting my temps to keep falling tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll be on the November bus, I'll have a discussion with DH about if he wants to use protection next month as I don't want to be going through this again next month if I know he's not in the right place to be getting pregnant. It's been very hard to approach him since he came out of hospital so I just didn't mention anything TTC, but then he wanted to DTD and he didn't seem to want to use protection but I think it's best to just have a chat about it and know where we stand. Otherwise I'll be a wreck every month thinking there could be a chance and worrying in case I do get pregnant and it stresses him out. 🙃

Had been staying optimistic but then just had a 9 day period instead of my pre miscarriage usual 4. Guess my body still hasn't recovered from August. Onto next time.

SarahMumof1DS · 21/10/2020 09:07

@Farfaraway1 yeah definitely, I had a few might be symptoms but they've stopped. Yes that'll do you good being distracted while you're away and you can just relax and enjoy yourself with family 🥰. Thank you and good luck to you to and keep me updated too xx

@gracie2307

Hi *@Sunflowers81*

Thank you for your message! I am ok thank you, I think I just need some more sleep tonight and dose up on painkillers!

How are you? Xx

Hey @gracie2307 I'm glad you are feeling better!

@Lemongrass9 I'm so sorry to hear that, it seems so mean that AF hits us with a vengeance when we didn't want her at all. I hope you feel better soon. Feeling better when she comes does make a lot of sense, when AF comes at least you know what is what.

@Farfaraway1 there is still a chance! Sending baby dust!

@SarahMumof1DS Glad to hear you are feeling better. I hope your chat with DS goes well.

@Flittingaboutagain I'm sorry to hear that, take good care of yourself and I hope you feel better.

I'm in limbo at the moment, my last few cycles were 28 days, 21 days and then 26. I'm now on day 29, had the tiniest trace of spotting on Monday this week (thought I was out and af was coming), and strange stabbing / aching pains in my uterus the last week or so, plus cramps which I feel in my thighs. Weird I know but that's where I've always felt it. But no a/f and no positive test.
I'm getting anxious because when I had a miscarriage in march, a positive test took 2 weeks after af due date to show, and then the little egg sac never developed any further and I sadly had a miscarriage. Maybe af is late because I'm stressing?
I'm trying to keep busy, going to work, going to the gym, and will see what happens. So, so glad to have this place to talk to you all.

SarahMumof1DS · 21/10/2020 10:35

Thanks @Sunflowers81. Will keep you all updated on how it goes and if I'll be on November bus. I hate that our lives got turned upside down and all our plans put on hold but Ive just got the deal with the cards we've been dealt and hope that things improve over time. Feels bad enough not being able to conceive but then not being able to even keep trying feels even worse.

It's horrible not knowing where you stand or having some sort of stable guideline to go by when you're cycles are all over the place. I'm sorry for your recent loss and the confusion it's causing you now.
You're doing the right thing keeping busy and trying to keep your stress levels down. Keeping my fx for you x

PurplePops · 21/10/2020 13:11

Just had my first positive OPK and according to premom its peak! So relieved but I am on CD19, does this mean I'm likely to have a really long cycle?

Theawkwardblonde · 21/10/2020 13:53

@SarahMumof1DS I hope he's recovering okay. Just take it easy and do what's right for both of you. It sounds like you have a good relationship and will take the time to discuss what you both want.

My period still hasn't arrived so now I'm thinking I may be having a longer cycle like last month. Why on earth have they started being longer 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ either way can't POAS to check as Royal Mail lost my Amazon prime delivery today that had some tests to check. I'm not optimistic at all. More just concerned with the red spotting on Sunday and now no AF.

SunnydazeQ · 21/10/2020 14:03

Thank you @SarahMumof1DS xx

Sorry @Lemongrass9 and @Flittingaboutagain It is always so disheartening when AF arrives. Here's to November x

@Sunflowers81 sounds like you are still in the run and it's good you are keeping busy. Fingers crossed for you :)

@gracie2307 Hi Gracie! Happy to hear you are feeling better and you deserved that drink :) Hope you are having a lovely day.
Funny thing with my OPKs, I never test on the 1st day of my fertile window and decided to test early given what happened last month. Yesterday I got the solid O but today a Flashing Smiley. Will be interesting to see how long I get this for but yes should be ovulating on Sunday so positive on Sat would have thought. Also first signs of CM! Things are happening so in a very good mood today despite insomnia last night. BTW decided to ditch the tea Shock and for my caffeine hit, half a teaspoon of regular coffee mixed with decaff. So far no problems :) xx

ValliBec · 21/10/2020 14:43

@Sunflowers81 - fingers crossed for you! It’s so difficult when your cycle plays havoc with you and you’re not sure what’s going on. Sounds like you’re very much still in the running though Smile

@PurplePops - I normally have AF exactly 12 days after I ovulate so even when I ovulate on day 19/20 my cycle isn’t longer than 31/32 days. Hopefully the same is for you and your cycle isn’t
too long!

@Theawkwardblonde sorry to hear you’re in limbo 🥴 this whole TTC malarkey is a bit of a head - you know what!

I’m definitely on the Nov bus now. On CD 7 of cycle #7 so fingers crossed it’s a lucky month!! 🤞 x

Kg87 · 21/10/2020 14:51

@PurplePops According to my app I’ve ovulated around CD19/20 and I get AF 14 days later and my last 2 cycles have been quite long, my last one was 33 days x

Sunflowers81 · 21/10/2020 15:29

Thank you @SarahMumof1DS, You are doing so well, staying so positive. I hope your husband is ok, I don't know what happened other than him being in hospital.

Thank you @SunnydazeQ, I've had some more spotting today, so could be the start of af. I'm so bloated that if af came properly I think it would be a relief from being so uncomfortable! That's great news about the flashing smiley! I hope everything goes to plan!

Thank you @ValliBec :-) Fingers crossed for a lucky month of November. xx

sophiemelissa · 21/10/2020 16:38

Hello,
I’m new on here for this time around - TTC baby number three.

I have a 7 year old girl and a 2 year old girl too.

I took my last pill on the 1st October and had my period/withdrawal bleed from the 5-10th so I was unsure what my body would do after this! However, I think today is ovulation day based on EWCM today and we’ve done the deed a few times over the last week (and just to be sure, again tonight!)

I’ll be hopefully testing in 10-14 days!

It’ll be nice to get chatting to you all x

Theawkwardblonde · 21/10/2020 18:33

Definitely out and jumping on the November bus. AF arrived with a vengeance. Who knows what the red bleed was Sunday. I'm suspecting another chemical due to the other symptoms which would mark my 4th.
Here's to moving on to cycle 14 😞

SarahMumof1DS · 21/10/2020 19:26

Thank you @Theawkwardblonde. He's ok some days and others he's very low mood, anxious or stressed. It's all part of what has happened to him. We're still waiting for tests to be done but they don't seem to be prioritising him with Covid even tho they haven't fully ruled out stroke yet. I think they're convinced it was a seizure but whatever it was it has caused some damage to his brain. I'll wait for AF to come so I'm sure I'm not pregnant and then I'll have the talk with him. We do have a good relationship but since everything happened I've had to be very careful so he doesn't have any extra stress. I'm feeling bloated and like Af is getting ready to arrive now.

Regarding your cycles I have a feeling it's stress related. It's annoying your tests didn't arrive today, the last thing you needed.
Try to give yourself some time to step outside of it all get a clearer head. Easier said than done (I know it well) but the alternative is just spiralling into a worse state and more stress for your body. I read an article that when you're stressed your body produces stress hormones and that can negatively affect ovulation and fertility. I'm not sure how true it is scientifically but it's at least worth us considering so we can give ourselves the best chance. We're here for you whenever you need to talk xx

I'm sorry AF arrived @Theawkwardblonde. Sorry I wrote my message earlier but goer side tracked with my son so didn't see your update. Sending hugs and positivity your way. Get yourself comfortable with a hot water bottle, chocolate and a hot drink. ❤️

SarahMumof1DS · 21/10/2020 19:42

@Sunflowers81 thank you for your kind words. DH has a suspected stroke in September but didn't get a diagnosis. So we don't know what happened and he's awaiting more tests. It's been a tough time and he's really not the same person he was which has been really difficult. So all our plans are on hold and I don't know if or when things will go back to normal. I'm hoping things will improve and we can get back on track. I stayed on the October bus to keep in the loop with everyone but end up DTD just outside fertile window this month so wasn't sure if I would end up pregnant. Gona have a chat with DH after AF arrives about how we go forward regarding using protection.
I'm feeling really bloated too! Looks like we both might be getting a visit from the witch soon. I hope it's a BFP for you tho, fx for you x

@Theawkwardblonde aww I’m sorry to hear AF has arrived with a vengeance. It’s so disheartening when it arrives and you just think “urgh another month of trying” but fingers crossed it’s lucky number 14 for you ☺️ Definitely curl up on the sofa with a drink and a good film this evening x

ValliBec · 21/10/2020 20:20

@SarahMumof1DS That Sounds so incredibly tough for you. What a difficult thing for all of you to go through and to not have a firm diagnosis just makes it all worse. I think you’re being very strong about it all - it’s a big toll on you emotionally. I hope you’re being kind to yourself and fitting in some “me time” / pampering where you can!! Xx

MgW1 · 21/10/2020 20:40

Hi
Can i join?
I have just this month bought amazon cheapy OPK's. Tested 3 times today and all positive. When does the clock start for ovulation ? Is it from when I tested this a.m ? Is it 36 hours approx ?
Another question ... anyone tried pre - seed ? I have had no fertile discharge since I had a mc 3 months ago so thought Id give it a bash
Thank you 😊

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 21:39

Hi @Sunflowers81 how are you? Thanks for your message, definetley feel more me today! Just keeping busy with work although I have a bit of a pamper day on saturday, got a facial booked in to try and calm my skin down (I tend to suffer with really bad cystic acne, mainly around my jaw - bloody hormones!) so looking forward to that! How are you doing? Hows the testing going? Keeping everything crossed for you wishing you lots of luck xxx

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 21:44

Hey @SunnydazeQ! How are you? Congrats on the flashing smiley!! Thats great news the test has picked your estrogen rise 😊 glad you are feeling good, keep that positivity going! Ooh good tip about the coffee, Ive cut back to 1 cup of coffee a day then when AF buggers off, I will start the slow wean and see how I get on. I fear if I quit coffee now during AF I will end up climbing the walls like a rat in a cage 🤣🙈 xxx

gracie2307 · 21/10/2020 21:51

Welcome @MgW1 😊 how are you? Hows your TTC journey been?

Generally they say the darker the test line compared to the control line for OPKs means ovulation is indicated to happen within the next 24 to 48 hrs. Its a bit of a wide window but if you test aftewards, the visibility of the test line should decrease as your LH surge declines. I am using the Clearblue digital OPKs at present as knowing when my test line was at its darkest was getting a bit confusing!

I am using pre-seed - started about 2 months ago. Was a bit conservative with it at first as that stuff is not cheap lol, used more last month, no BFP as of yet, but for this cycle will try and use it more. Have heard very good things. Im sorry to hear about your MC 😔 xx
