@Theawkwardblonde so sorry to hear you're going through such a hard time. Especially during these Covid times which is making things so much harder. Sending a virtual hug your way and definitely try to take care of yourself. Do something relaxing for yourself. Its crazy how no one ever told us how difficult TTC could be. Maybe book yourself in for a spa or acupuncture session to help take your mind off things. I also find YouTube videos of people who've been through the same struggles incredibly helpful. Sending positivity your way xx

SunnydazeQ · 19/10/2020 12:13

@kimberley94 congratulations!! 🎉🎉🎉

SparkyLauz · 19/10/2020 13:10

AF back with a vengeance today so definitely off the October bus for me :( was so positive about this being the month, and wanted that cute Christmas day announcement too for my family as this would be the first grandchild.
Just read through all recent posts and it seems quite a few of us in the same boat this month. Gutted for us all! Onto cycle 8 now, let's get some more positives on the November bus, who's with me? Xx

SparkyLauz · 19/10/2020 13:11

@kimberley94 congratulations, lucky girl xx

SparkyLauz · 19/10/2020 13:20

@gracie2307

Glad to heard you're ok! Sorry to hear AF has also arrived for you too☹

Thanks for your kind words
@gracie2307 your OH sounds like a lovely guy and it's important to be positive. Onwards and upwards xx Which cycle is this for you?

I love thrillers, suspense and horrors (but not gore). We watched I See You, The Invitation, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Silence, Unfriended Dark Wed. Also watched I Was Thinking About Ending Things but don't recommend it.

It's my fertile week from tomorrow so really looking forward to next week so I can start counting down TWW LOL crazy how we wish the time away. I decided to give up coffee from today so only doing decaff, fingers cross I last 🙈
Hi @SunnydazeQ

Thanks for your message. This will be cycle #5 now. Im taking seven seas trying for a baby tablets, cut down on alcohol/coffee, exercising more and using pre-seed. I am going to start accupuncture next week and see if that makes a difference. I know I need to chill out more but I find it so difficult to switch off sometimes.

Ooh, we are kindred spirits, I love horror/thrillers! I binge watched Haunting of Bly Manor last week, I loved it! Not as good as Hill House but I enjoyed it. I watched The Nun also on Amazon Prime which I hadnt seen before. Am watching The Third Day on Sky Atlantic with Jude Law. If you like Twin Peaks-esque TV shows, its a good one to get into.

Good luck with the caffeine! I am such an addict its so hard for me to cut down 🙈 I am keeping everything crossed for you for next week and its good that youve taken the time to chill in preparation for it xx

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 13:47

Congratulations @kimberley94 🥳 lovely news! Xx

Emc16x · 19/10/2020 13:48

@Theawkwardblonde feel for you. I’m in the same boat. I stupidly took somebody else’s clomid this month to kick start ovulation, I’ve tested twice a day and nothing. I feel like giving up too. We have our 1st fertility clinic end of January. Can’t believe how long away that feels. I’m so sorry you feel this way. Where abouts in the north east are you. Maybe we can meet to vent!! Xxx

SparkyLauz · 19/10/2020 13:51

@gracie2307

I was the same as you! On my birthday in April I told myself that by the next birthday I would be a mummy. How wrong I was lol. Also went bridesmaid dress shopping last month for my cousin and in my head i was debating on what size I should order in case I was pregnant for her wedding. So I ordered the next size up just in case 😂 Its amazing how far ahead we think about these things. Its all so unknown, thats what's the hard part about it.

Thankyou I'm going to! Haha. Yeah I tend to refrain from drinking during my TWW just in case. But when the spotting came on Saturday I thought bugger it im opening the prosecco 😂 its the only consolation about AF, being able to have a guilt-free drink!

I saw that post earlier too and think you're right about that, men are wired much differently. DH cycles about 3 or 4 times a week, he does mountain biking and goes for hours at a time. I've not seen those wellman conception but I will have a look into it though thanks xx

Sunflowers81 · 19/10/2020 13:57

Congratulations @jessicalouise10!

Congratulations @kimberley94!

It's so lovely to hear good news!

@gracie2307 I'm sorry to hear that af arrived. It's so hard isn't it. I've started spotting, plus my temperature and my resting heart rate have all dropped, so af is on her way.
I cuddled up with my boyfriend last night and we watched the film "fighting with my family", it's on Netflix and a really good feel good movie. xx

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 14:16

@SparkyLauz I totally empathise and always think ahead when planning things. I wish I had more of a gung-ho attitude but I have been compared to Monica from Friends in terms of my obsession with planning/cleaning 😂🙈 so for me TTC was always going to be a challenge in trying to let go and leave something up to fate/biology. That's lovely that you are going to be a Bridesmaid, when is the wedding?

Yes definetley check out Wellman Conception for Men. Got then from Amazon, £7 for 30 days supply. Just good to supplement a healthy diet and ensure there arent any deficiancies. Xx

Hi @Sunflowers81!

How are you? Thank you for your lovely message. I am sorry that you have AF to visit too. Please can I ask, how are you measuring your temperature? Thats one thing I'm not doing atm but would like to for this cycle. I track OPKs, CM but not BBT yet.

Ahh I love that film 😊 so funny! Florence Pugh is really good in it. I recommend The Peanut Butter Falcon on Netflix if you liked FWMF, have you seen it? xx

Sunflowers81 · 19/10/2020 14:39

Hey @gracie2307 I haven't seen peanut butter falcon, it looks great though, I will check it out, thank you!
I only have a normal fever thermometer, I'm now looking in to a proper charting thermometer and am researching charting apps.
If anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear them! xx

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 14:50

No worries @Sunflowers81😊 always on hand with movie recommendations and support!

Thank you, I might buy a cheap thermometer first and see how I get on. In terms of apps, I use Fertility Friend which has great charts and Clearblue for my OPK tests. I did use to use Clue but it became so unreliable, was fine at first but then always said my fertile window started straight after my period, got my ovulation days really wrong even after several months of data entered xx

SarahMumof1DS · 19/10/2020 14:52

@Bmeggar I'm sorry to read your story, it's a lot to go through. Wishing you all the best and baby dust for your BFP this cycle. I hope you're in better spirits and know that we're all here to support each other when you feel alone or want to vent. x

@SarahMumof1DS thank you for your sweet message. Venting/sharing definitely helps! 💕 😘xx

SarahMumof1DS · 19/10/2020 15:00

Sorry to all those who have had AF lately and those who are at a point of despair. It's horrible we all know how each other feel and yet we all have to just ride it out and just keep giving each other hope. Mother Nature is a strange old girl x

@kimberley94 congratulations!

@Theawkwardblonde take care of yourself xx

SarahMumof1DS · 19/10/2020 15:08

🥰 @Bmeggar, I'm glad i joined this site as I was at the point of feeling so isolated and alone and having no one else to talk to only a couple of months ago. It's nice to feel like we're all helping each other when we all are on the same journey. ❤️ x

OP posts:
SarahMumof1DS · 19/10/2020 15:23

@MamaPheebz hopefully it's a good sign. Felt a little sick this morning but that didn't last too long. I'm not fully sure when ovulated but if I'm guessing by my previous months I'm probably about 9/10dpo. So I'll probably wait a few more days to test. I have a feeling I'm probably not this month but it's probably for the best as my DH is still not well and it's probably not the best time. I think he needs a few months to recover before we continue ttc. If I'm not pregnant this month I'm going to have a chat with him about using protection for a while until he feels better. x

@Theawkwardblonde I imagine it has hit hard as I remember last month you were feeling the same when AF arrived and now AF here again 😔. Sending you hugs x

SarahMumof1DS · 19/10/2020 15:25

@kimberley94 many congratulations! Always lovely to see another BFP! x

To those who got their BFPs this month all the best to you for a happy and healthy 9 months and beyond x

Hi everyone! I hope you don’t mind me joining!

I’m TTC my first after being given the all clear from a molar pregnancy Sad

I’m currently CD29 (11 or 12 DPO) and have been using One Step tests and so far all negative! I feel sooooo sick though, even as I type this I feel like I’m about to run off and heave Confused! I’m trying to test now under after my period is due on Thursday but it’s so hard and I feel like I’m clinging to false hope haha

Good luck to everyone Star and congrats to all of the new mummies to be!! Fingers crossed that will be me in a few days Grin

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 16:09

Hi, please can I join too?

I’m TTC first baby, 12dpo today and have got a BFN. Feeling so sick last few days, really sore boobs and a headache today. Trying to be positive that there is still a chance this month but I’m also really hormonal so struggling not to feel upset about it. Not been trying long at all so feel ridiculous that I’m getting upset.

Congratulations to everyone who already has their BFP this month 💕

SparkyLauz · 19/10/2020 17:13

@gracie2307 Haha, I'm very much like a Monica too 😂 I have to have a plan for literally everything and get upset when things don't go the way I want it. So yes I agree this TTC business is a challenge 😂
The wedding is in April but it might be postponed now as they want to wait and have a big wedding rather than a small wedding and a party at a later date.

I will look into that. Thanks! Xx
