Welcome @Forest27 and @Lemongrass9 ! Fingers crossed for you both this week girls xx

Dogmum13 · 19/10/2020 17:21

@SparkyLauz I'm on the November bus with you! AF showed up today 3 days early, only a 25 day cycle this month so don't know what is going on with my cycles atm. Mine would be a first grandchild and great grandchild too

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 17:29

Hi @Dogmum13 hope you are well! Snap, I am also on the November bus with you too 😊. How are you finding things? Xx

Idreamof2more · 19/10/2020 17:31

Hi. I suffered my third early loss on my last cycle and hoping to have a sticky baby soon. Good luck all xxx

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 17:36

@SparkyLauz Nothing wrong with us Monicas 😂but I know deep down I need to be more relaxed like Phoebe!

Its such a shame about all these weddings that are cancelled/postponed 😔 I was supposed to be an Usherette in May for a wedding but the wedding was already rescheduled once to 2021 but now its looking more like 2022.... xx

Dogmum13 · 19/10/2020 17:37

@gracie2307 I'm just concerned we aren't going to be able to have kids and concerned about all the pains I keep having tbh. We are heading into cycle #12 now. What cycle are you on? I'm considering private initial consultations in the New Year as I'm sure NHS is a long wait

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 17:43

I think I’m a bit of a Monica too @SparkyLauz @gracie2307 think that’s why I’ve found today’s BFN so upsetting 😬. Hadn’t planned on telling DH about test today but glad I did as we’ve had a good chat since he got home from work and I’m feeling lots better. Hoping AF shows up soon if that’s her plan so I can have some wine and get set for next cycle.

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 18:00

Hi @Dogmum13 I am sorry you feel that way, its such a horrible place to be in limbo and feel like your dreams are on hold. Is it pains that happen throughout your cycle? The important thing is not to give up hope and that you will be a mummy one day Smile Thats a good idea to see if you can get a private consultation, have you found somewhere that you can contact? I'm on cycle 5 so I'm still trying to get my head around things. I am tracking my cycles and for the last couple of cycles, Ive managed to find my peaks with OPKs and thought I had timing right but nothing so far. Xx

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 18:05

Hi @Lemongrass9 aka fellow Monica Grin

I am sorry that you had a BFN ☹ its always upsetting to see. Thats the worst part feeling so out of control with everything. But I am glad to hear you feel a bit better and your DH is supporting you 😊 Dont rule anything out until AF shows up so maybe test again tomorrow or the next day if she is a no show? Xx

Dogmum13 · 19/10/2020 18:08

@gracie2307 yes pains throughout my cycle, I'm in constant pain low down in abdomin, mainly right hand side worse with ovulation and af. Sometimes ovulation is so bad I can't even stand up straight although not had it that bad for a couple of months now. I know I'm definitely ovulating because I get the pains and very obvious peaks on the tests but haven't had a single bfp in almost a year now. I'm going to look into the prices at my local private hospital and see how much it will cost us

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 18:13

@Dogmum13 Im so sorry... the pain sounds awful! Yes definetley book in with a private hospital or ask your GP for scans if the wait isnt too long and check everything is okay. I had some internal scans about 18 months ago before we TTC as I was getting random bleeding but nothing conclusive came back. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞 xxx

Dogmum13 · 19/10/2020 18:43

Thanks, I've been referred a couple of months ago but haven't even had a letter to say I'm on the list yet so no idea how long the list is unfortunately. Just hoping our supervitamins help lol

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 18:43

Does anyone else stare at a BFN for so long they convince themselves there is a shadow of a line?! ☹️ I know there isn’t and it’s just my mind playing tricks on me. Going to test in another 2-4 days..

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 18:53

Thanks for your reply @gracie2307...would like to say I’ll hold off testing for a few days but I’ll probably just allow myself one early morning test a day until AF shows up.

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 18:55

@Farfaraway1 I definitely do! Find myself taking it into different rooms to see it in different lighting 😂. Well done for planning to wait a few days before testing again. I find that once I let myself do one test I can’t stop.

SunnydazeQ · 19/10/2020 18:57

@gracie2307 loved the Nun (everything in the Conjuring universe) and yes agreed Hill House was much better and scarier!! Will definitely check out The Third Day.

Day 1 of no caffeine and I am struggling but really going to try this month. I cut down to 1 coffee and 1 decaff last month and thought this was OK but after my MMC, I just want to see if this might help in any way as we're on cycle 6 now. Fertile window starts tomorrow so giving it a go until either AF or BFP LOL

Here's to BFP's in Nov and to July babies :) Hope you are having a lovely autumn evening. xx

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 18:58

@Lemongrass9 😂 that is exactly me too, walking around finding different lighting, holding it up to the light etc etc 🤪 i say I’m going to try and wait a few days before testing.. reality is I’ll be testing again in the next day or two.. just can’t stop myself either.. and in a way it kind of helps me mentally prepare that it’s another no and AF will arrive.

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 19:13

@SunnydazeQ well done on making some changes and trying so hard. It’s not easy I know. I’ve done the same although I’ve stopped drinking - pretty much at all - because I would have at least a small glass every night. And apart from running the 2 kids around and going to work I actually did no other exercise so now every night I take the dog for a decent walk.. hoping these small changes might help me be a bit healthier and help conception.. 💖

Kg87 · 19/10/2020 19:39

@Farfaraway1 I do this 😂 I hold it up the window and convince myself there’s a line, then my husband kindly brings me back to reality 🙈

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 20:22

@Lemongrass9 I know the feeling, I am guilty of testing pretty much daily from 10dpo 🙈 luckily I bought a bag of hcg test sticks from amazon for next to nothing to satisfy my testing urges. Good luck keeping everything crossed for you 🤞😊 xxx

Forest27 · 19/10/2020 20:28

Thanks @SparkyLauz!

I also take my test to various rooms of the house and even shine my phone underneath it to try and see a line... like I did today Grin We’ve just moved into a new house and we don’t have blinds yet so I hope no one was looking at me reappearing in various windows 😂

I think AF is on her way sadly!! Pink spotting returned and I have some light cramping pains. I’ve had them for a couple of days now and usually only get them a couple of hours before she arrives so it’s all very strange!! Hmm

Fingers crossed the spotting has stopped in the morning Sad I feel sorry for my partner as he arrived home from work and I was a mess over the spotting haha why are pregnancy symptoms and PMS the same 😂🙈

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 20:28

@SunnydazeQ Its a weird show I will give you that but very intriguing watch!

Well done on perservering with the no caffeine. I might encourage myself to do the same. The problem is I hate traditional tea (I know, I dont know how Im British!) and woud like to swap it for something. Maybe try a green or a fruit tea but any suggestions most welcome!

Good luck with your FW and hope you are having a lovely evening too! And yes, fingers crossed for November and July babies all round! 😊😊😊 I am a July baby and I personally think its the best anyway Grin xx

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 20:53

@Kg87 😂 why do we do it to ourselves.. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sounds like you’ve got a lovely sensitive husband. My fiancé doesn’t really know how cray cray I am about the testing 😁 although I think he may have an inkling but doesn’t truely know the full extent! 🙊

redpeppersoup · 19/10/2020 22:08

@SarahMumof1DS thank you, still no sign of AF so going to test again in the morning!

@gracie2307 @SparkyLauz hi from another 29 year old Monica 😂 I keep telling myself I should NOT be this obsessive when it’s only our second month TTC but I can’t stand the not knowing!

BuildingThings · 20/10/2020 00:59

@Waiting2BeaMama welcome! It is quite an exciting (but also scary!) time! x

@Lemongrass9 welcome and fingers crossed! When is your AF due?

Huge congratulations @kimberley94! 🎉

For the ladies who are trying to quit coffee, it’s easier if you taper yourself off gradually, rather than quitting cold turkey. Over time you can introduce more and more decaf to replace caffeinated coffee. This is particularly easy to do if you use a scale to make drip coffee (tip for all the Monica’s out there! Grin
