Been lurking a few days on here. Good to see BFPs!
Where is everyone at re fertility investigations/TTC. I'm going for bloods again as they bother mine last month. Husband is awaiting date from private referral.
I'm getting so stressed in case something is wrong and concerned how I'll handle any news if there is a problem.

Originalusername6432762 · 29/10/2020 13:50

Anyone had a transvaginal ultrasound? Will I want to go into work afterwards??

Hello to new people! Hope you get your good news soon 😊

Originalusername6432762 · 29/10/2020 13:50

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying

Whilstwewait · 29/10/2020 17:17

@notyetamumbuttrying its good that you're in a position to go private. I'd do the same if I was you. Its going well thanks. Had my 12 week scan so starting to relax a little now

@Jilly1988 when will you test again? I'm good thanks. 12w4 now and had my scan. The first trimester is such an anxious time. Even more so if you've been trying for ages x

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/10/2020 19:07

@SS123456 course you can! Sorry to hear about the MC. We're 14 months next week but never had a bfp. We've got male factor which we found out about in August. Dh has had an urologist appointment so far who's done a blood test and wants to scan his testicles to see if they're any blockages I guess. So waiting on that now.
@Theawkwardblonde heya! We chat on the other thread I think so you know my situ. You'll be fine, you'll be thankful to know what's what (if anything), it gives you a way forward and calms the rollercoaster each month, has for me anyway. I don't think I'm pregnant each month now as our chances are just so slim right now.
@Originalusername6432762 yep me! Was fine, I was worried but it was a breeze in the end. I went to work afterwards, i wfh at mo but I woulda been fine in the office too.
@Whilstwewait yeah we're lucky in that respect! Omg 12 weeks already, amazing! So glad it went well Smile

@notyetamumbuttrying
Thanks that's good to know :)

I'm going crazy at the moment, slowest 2ww ever 🤪

Narwhal88 · 29/10/2020 20:46

Looks like there's more congratulations on the way @Jilly1988 🤞🏼

@Originalusername6432762 ive had one recently as well and it was fine. I was so nervous but didn't hurt, I worked from home after but could have gone in.

@Theawkwardblonde welcome, this thread isn't a nice place to be but it's supportive! I'm 17 months TTC, cycle god only knows maybe 22ish. Very similar situation to @notyetamumbuttrying with fairly severe male factor, awaiting next appointment for IVF referral.

Originalusername6432762 · 30/10/2020 08:07

@Narwhal88
Thanks 😊

So I've only ever used a cheap test before but what are you guys opinions on testing early? I mean if it's positive I definitely want to know, but if it's negative is it better to wait for af?? And not get your hopes up?

Jilly1988 · 30/10/2020 08:34

So taken another test this morning and the line is slightly darker. Just not sure how much darker it should be each day. I know I should be excited but finding that difficult after August.

Congratulations @Jilly1988 ! 😁

If it helps this was my progression this month (ended in a mc at 5 weeks though sadly 💔)

Jilly1988 · 30/10/2020 09:22

Oh I’m so sorry for your loss @SS123456 thanks for the picture. I was the exact same as you I had my first bfp in August after over a year of trying and lost it at 4+5 so I do very very nervous.

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 09:44

I'm really sorry to hear that @Jilly1988 , it is devastating after trying for so long isn't it. It was our 13 month trying too so that did make it so much harder when it didn't stick. I really hope this is it for you!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻😁

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 09:45

@Jilly1988 did you do anything in particular this month to fall?

Jilly1988 · 30/10/2020 09:49

@SS123456 it really is horrible. You start planning everything in your head but this month we are both so cautious. I had a private appointment at the end of September as wasn’t getting anywhere and he put me on clomid even though it looked like I was ovulation but he said it could give my ovaries a boost and that’s the main difference. He also gave me progesterone pessaries as I used to get some mid cycle bleeding after ovulation.

Originalusername6432762 · 30/10/2020 10:00

@Jilly1988 @SS123456
Sorry to hear about your previous bad news, hope it all works out for you both soon x

Those first response early tests, does it say what level of hcg it detects??

Jilly1988 · 30/10/2020 10:14

Thanks @Originalusername6432762

I read that they detect 6.5ml. What stage are you at?

Originalusername6432762 · 30/10/2020 10:22

@Jilly1988
I'm cd18, 5/6dpo I think. I'm going crazy!! My cycle has been 26 days on average lately but last month was 30.

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 10:43

@Jilly1988 was that through a private gp appointment? I am sure I need progesterone too as I have a short LP

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 10:44

@Originalusername6432762 thank you, and for you too! It says they detect 6.3 mIU/mL

Originalusername6432762 · 30/10/2020 14:27

@SS123456 @Jilly1988
My ones are only 25 I think, but I'm trying my best to be good and wait till af is due!

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 15:24

@Originalusername6432762 you have more will power than me 🙌🏻😂

I have managed to get my gp to agree to me having a 21 day blood test for progesterone today which is a small step forward. Apparently I shouldn't need any tests because I fell pregnant on month 13 and the mc is irrelevant 🙄

Originalusername6432762 · 31/10/2020 08:11

I've got my usual spotting today so I think that's a no from me. Cd 19 ☹️

Hayley19835 · 31/10/2020 08:24

Morning all been checking in every so often to keep up. so 2 years since my last pregnancy which resulted in mc AF decides to make an appearance 2 days early this cycle

claireb7rg · 31/10/2020 21:06

Wasn't expecting to come back to this so soon but had a massive kick to the belly yesterday and can't talk to anyone else.😢

Our closest friends came round yesterday for a cuppa, were going to come over the weekend but we've gone into tier 2 overnight so they came last night instead.

She's pregnant 😢 I'm really happy for them, like really happy, she had breast cancer 6 years ago so didn't know if she would be able to have kids but it's just made me feel worse.

To top if off Im fairly sure I ovulated yesterday, haven't done any opks but am still temping (not sure why - possibly to check for covid). Had horrendous ovulation pain from 6pm till about 10 (thought at first it was wind, but then twigged I was cd13) and had ewcm yesterday too.

Amazingly enough we have managed to dtd 3 times in the last week so here's hoping.

Felt like shite last night due to friends news and the ovulation pain, think we were both upset about it to be honest. Still thinking of adoption though unless a miracle happens

Hope everyone is ok, haven't read the updates since my last post xx

Narwhal88 · 01/11/2020 07:29

@Hayley19835 sorry about AF, it always has the worst timing to make you feel shit :(

@claireb7rg that's tough. It's perfectly normal and ok to feel happy for her but really sad for yourself. Be extra nice to yourself today ❤️ this is such a tough and shit place to be but you will get through it. We all have to deal with people close to us getting pregnant and it really cuts deep doesn't it. Like rubbing salt into a wound.
