TTC #1, cycle 13 and fed up! Whose with me?

Hello. So AF arrived yesterday which means I'm officially on cycle 13 of TTC. I'm a healthy 28 year old with husband whose 33. We've had 2 chemical pregnancies in the time we've been actively trying. We are just waiting on our dates for blood tests and SA for husband.

Needless to say I'm bloody fed up! Had 3 friends announce pregnancy news in the last week, and one friend is due in 4 weeks. TTC is definitely starting to take its toll on both of us and the realisation that something may be wrong is starting to sink in.
Who else is having similar? Please feel free to share/rant!

@Rosie189 how you doing hun? What days your appointment? X
@Theawkwardblonde how are you hun? Hope works calmed a bit?
@SunnySide1992 we've all experienced what you're going through too. It truly sucks that some ppl get all the luck. We just have to hope that our time will come eventually and just think what fantastic mothers we'll all be because of the struggle to get there ♥️

Rosie189 · 16/03/2021 19:53

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m doing ok. Going between not feeling like I can be pregnant, wanting to enjoy the fact I finally managed to get pregnant and being terrified I’m going to have a miscarriage. Appointments on Thursday. Feeling ok about it. Is your hycoscy soon?

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/03/2021 20:39

@Rosie189 the anxiety never stops does it! Hopefully Thursday will ease your mind a bit. I haven't booked it yet. Will wait for my period to come and book it in for the end of the month, it'll be private so hopefully I'll get the day I want and I won't miss a cycle.

Rosie189 · 16/03/2021 21:15

@notyetamumbuttrying So true! Fingers crossed the dates work out for you!

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/03/2021 21:31

Thanks @Rosie189 let us know how Thursday goes x

I’m thinking of booking a hycosy probably for my next cycle @notyetamumbuttrying. I’m on cd8 right now, I think you said to do it early before? I saw some info on the guys private arm and might get it done there.

I really don’t want it but I feel like getting to my NHS appointment and having had it might speed things up.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 13:17

@thislittlebird exactly my thinking too! You just need to do it before you ov otherwise you need to abstain. Can't have any swimmers lurking in there 👀 😂

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 13:48

@notyetamumbuttrying I’ll definitely call and enquire this month then, hoping to book it in at the start of next cycle.

Really hard not to ttc this month on the drugs I’m on tbh. I’m less worried by the steroids now because it seems lots of people go on them to get pregnant (with auto immune issues and nk cells etc) but one of my antibiotics I start soon doesn’t seem to be exactly recommended for ttc. Sigh. Will ask the doctor again when I see her.

We should have the next set of SA results soon too, I think. I’m so impatient but it takes so long and “lost” months just aren’t something I’m loving. They’re all lost months really lmaooo, not like I’ve had a bfp any month.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 14:09

@thislittlebird yeah good idea!
Defo check with the doc, you need to set your mind at ease.
Ha I know what you mean with the lost months and them all being bloody lost 😂 I've never had a bfp either!
So I'm just out of pre assessment appointment for my lap and they said it was just a blood test. It was swabs as well, much like the Covid swabs I would've thought. I also had to swab my perineum 🙈 that was fun with no pre-warning 😆

Theawkwardblonde · 17/03/2021 17:05

Hey lovelies. Halfway through a 84 hour week believe it or not 😂
Nothing exciting from me. I'm late for my period but not pregnant, so I'm still assuming it's my MC messing me up. I'm fed up. Work has been hellish too and I'm insanely exhausted.

@Theawkwardblonde wow that's insane! Is that even legal?! Sorry to hear you're still in limbo land with everything. Can you take some holiday days and relax? X

Theawkwardblonde · 17/03/2021 18:03

@notyetamumbuttrying it's overtime I've put in for tbf as I'm still paying off the private medical bills off before Xmas 😞 appointment with nhs consultant has been cancelled so god knows when I'll get seen.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 18:43

@Theawkwardblonde ah I see! Bummer the nhs appointment has been cancelled! Hopefully not too long to wait for another one 💐

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 22:37

Such a long week 😩 @Theawkwardblonde

Sorry your cycles are messing around still, fingers crossed they go back to normal soon. Do you know why your appointment was cancelled?

@notyetamumbuttrying let’s call them practice months, make ourselves feel better.

Did you book a private lap? I can’t remember. Or was it one the nhs offered? SURPRISE! perineum swab, lucky you Confused

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 22:42

@thislittlebird practice months it is! I am very well practiced in the art of ttc sex now 🥱 😂
No the lap is on the nhs! I'm astounded at the speed! They told me a year wait a few weeks ago and now it's mere weeks away, madness! Haha it was such a surprise considering I was just told it was blood tests! Got bloody weighed as well, wouldn't have had lunch if I'd known 😂

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 22:53

@notyetamumbuttrying my god I’m so over all the practice, send help lmao.

That’s great that it was arranged so fast. I’m glad they sorted it for you. I am a little concerned about what possible road blocks they might throw my way in the shape of tests when I get to see them (all being well and not cancelled).

Oh no not the weigh-in, that’s the worst 🙈

Rosie189 · 18/03/2021 11:25

Had my consultant appointment think it was definitely a bit shorter than normal given I’m pregnant. He did suggest hycosy may have been worthwhile considering, but given at least one of tubes works, probably not necessary. Then he said could probably try ovulation induction and timed intercourse first given our results he would have advised that for a few cycles before ivf. He said if all works out and we try for a second. He’d advise to contact them at the start cause of there waiting lists just now but he’d advise 6 months trying before any treatment. Also said he wouldn’t give me a diagnosis of pcos. Definitely interesting.
