@Elakiya have you tried femfresh? That's meant to be a good wash for sensitive areas and doesn't upset the ph balance of the vagina.

Elakiya · 26/09/2020 19:11

@Kaybobx Lol!
@ReginaaPhalange I had a sample so just used some. I think I was under the false belief that you can just wipe it and then go to sleep and you won't wake up smelling awful lol!

NamechangeTTC · 26/09/2020 19:55

I smell it all day too even after a shower. Thank fuck it isn’t just me.

candycrush2298 · 26/09/2020 20:12

@ReginaaPhalange sounds like a fab idea to hold off until 10dpo if you can. I know that's easier said than done lol!!!

@Kaybobx lol sounds like a fab excuse whahahah. How was your lunch with your friend? Are you feeling better today?

@Elakiya yeah showering does take the smell away but it doesnt take away the stuff as the next day my cm is still laced with semen so gross lol!!!

@candycrush2298 yeah had a good day thanks, how was yours?

Feeling better today 🙂

candycrush2298 · 26/09/2020 20:33

@Kaybobx was fab, got to have a full moan and vent and have a laugh. Was good hahahha.

Thats great I am also feeling better. Was pissed my temp dropped lower today so was livid this morning hahahaha.

Had a good chat with hubby about our next steps and we have come to the following agreement, if something comes back wrong with him that means he is completely infertile and can't be fixed we stop, same thing for me if there is something completely wrong with me and I am infertile we stop. We not doing IVF with donor sperm or donor eggs. Its 100% biolgically ours or not biological at all. So I am going to do my scan then I will pay for the HSG and AMH (when I can find a clinic that checks AMH think Nuffield might do a full endo blood work) and if nothing is wrong with either of us we will push on with the fertility clinic but if something is irreversibly wrong with either of us we stop there and then and go the adoption route. Sounds like a good plan on paper lets hope I can survive the wait🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@candycrush2298 glad you had a nice time. You can't beat a goss and trip out with friends.

My friend has just posted a pic on insta with her new bestie on a night out haha.

Ah thats a good plan and nice you have thought of it together 😊 I'm hoping everything will be fine for you both though.

candycrush2298 · 26/09/2020 20:45

@Kaybobx aww thank you.. glad yours was too.

Ooooh definitely no shame lol!!

Let's hope we can find an issue so it can be fixed because not finding anything will be worse to me.

@candycrush2298 what’s AMH?

NamechangeTTC · 26/09/2020 21:54

Reflexology again today.
Two sessions this month. It’s skinting me!

I relax well at it at least

candycrush2298 · 26/09/2020 21:54

@Elakiya its to check your egg count and quality and if I understand it correctly. Basically I think its to see how much you have left and if they good enough. Think thats one of the tests on the NHS and then they also check things like thyroid and other things by blood.

So was thinking of asking Nuffield if I can do this Endocrine investigation or if I need a GO referral for that as well as it seems to include AMH if I understand this page correctly.

@candycrush2298 Awww I am gutted for you. I'm really sorry. I really hope you get some answers from this Ultrasound.
Dw hun this will happen for you guys, hang in there until all the tests are done.

I remember us discussing IVF abroad (it's going to be my last resort but I think that's what I am going to do). I read that you can get it done in the Serum clinic in Athens and it costs about 4k in total. A lot of people I know went to India to do it, so I'd probably go there. But I've begun to set some money aside each month just in case I have no choice. I decided if it doesn't happen by the time I am 32 I am going to pay for IVF myself.

Kaybobx · 27/09/2020 10:07

@candycrush2298 that sucks ass! I'm so sorry hunni. I hope you're ok. X

candycrush2298 · 27/09/2020 10:27

@Elakiya I know I hope something is wrong obviously not hoping for irreversible problems but something to be fixable so we can actually know once its fixed theres a real chance of falling pregnant.
This limbo and trying for nothing is so annoying.
Just found out my husbands cousin who has just turned 40 finally fell pregnant in South Africa they started trying when she was 26 remortgaged their house a couple of times to pay for IVF which all failed. So 14 years and only now is she pregnant. I am so so happy for them they deserve it. I certainly wouldn't have lasted that long.

That sounds like a brilliant plan, how expensive will it be for you to do in India? My concern is the amount of time you need to be abroad to spend a couple of weeks taking the meds, the egg collection, semen, the drugs to bring on your ovulation. Do you have loads of leave to do it? Or can you fly there often?

I joined an Adoption group on Facebook to get the real feeling of what's in adoption you know to learn about the ugly and the real side not the nice side that adoption websites portray and instead of scaring me it fills me with such hope and love. I know hubby and I decided to keep trying and he wants to do everything we can to have our own so I respect that because its his decision as well. But anyway the reason I am mentioning it is because one woman asked after how many failed attempts of IVF did you decide on adoption and the comments are crazy. One woman did 3 IUIs private, 3 rounds of IVF on the NHS, 4 rounds of IVF and ICSI before giving up and she said no one prepares for the ugly of IVF the meds, the testing the amount of Dr appointments the utter pain when it fails. And that just freaken broke my heart. I guess I was putting IVF on a pedestal thinking of it like this golden egg and not really considering all 3 NHS rounds failing.

@Kaybobx aww thanks hun, its OK started getting AF pains yesterday already and I've been in total bitch mode for like 4 days so I knew it was coming. Without testing I am getting pretty good and listening to my body for AF.

Woo my temps on the up
Ovulating this week, tests not very dark but it does just suddenly get quite a bit darker
Collecting my progesterone tomorrow 🤗🤗 so excited!

Elakiya · 28/09/2020 08:54

@candycrush2298 I know what you mean. Just want them to spot something so that they can fix it rather than just say we have no idea.

14 years is a hell of a long time. Good on them for continuing to be so strong. I also don’t think I’d last that long.

I was under the false impression that IVF means your definitely getting pregnant. Quite disappointed to hear that’s not the case.

I didn’t really think about the time I need to spend abroad. I don’t get loads of leave. Maybe I should consider Athens then as I can fly out there regularly. I really hope it doesn’t come to that.

I need to go to Tesco and find myself some Soy.

Welliedays · 28/09/2020 10:16

Oh no @candycrush2298 @elakiya, IVF is definitely not the golden ticket. I know people who have gone through it and it's so tough both physically and mentally, even if you do end up pregnant at the end (which doesn't happen all that often - I think the success rate for women under 35 is less than 30% on each attempt) and if you don't, it's obvs so much worse. I know people who have had to have counselling because of it. I'm obvs not trying to put you off, I just want to be honest about what I know about it so you can be prepared if you do down that route.

Kaybobx · 28/09/2020 10:39

Shall we all just get a puppy instead? 🤣🤣

Welliedays · 28/09/2020 11:05

@kaybobx definitely get a puppy ahaha I'd be totally lost without my dog, she's like my child!!
