@Welliedays i have 2 house cats, had them for 12 years! Would love a puppy but think they are too old to tolerate it 🤣

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 12:01

@NamechangeTTC aww its OK. well done on SMEP whoohoo.

@Boc86 your temps already rising before O?

@Elakiya yes I would prefer that as then we know oooh this is fixed so we should conceive now.
Yeah I always thought 3 rounds would certainly have one success in it.
I also hope it does not come to that.
ooooh so exciting!!! I am really hoping this will work for you xx

@Welliedays thanks hun, yeah I know its like only 30% chance but I guess I always believed it will work within 3 tries. Especially since the NHS now does ICSI which has like a 70% success rate you know.

@Kaybobx if they gave maternity leave for puppies I would adopt a litter LOL!!!!
Yeah your cats I think wouldn't like newcomers now LOL
@Welliedays LOL me too my dog is my child I love her too bits LOL.

Mail man has just dropped off hubby's repeat letter he has to do another SA on the 17th December - sometimes I hate it when I am right.

OP posts:
Elakiya · 28/09/2020 12:13

@candycrush2298 I think I missed the conversation, why does Hubby have to repeat the SA?

Kaybobx · 28/09/2020 12:14

@candycrush2298 whattt no way! Did they say why?

Did AF arrive today?

Elakiya · 28/09/2020 12:15

@Kaybobx I'm scared of all things that aren't human and move lol! (actually scared of some humans too hahaha)

Kaybobx · 28/09/2020 12:18

@elakiya haha I'm with you on the humans!

Where are you at with your cycle? We're usually quite close, im CD10 today. Think ov will be a few days for me yet

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 12:20

@Elakiya they said sometimes they just ask for a repeat SA in 3 months and @Kaybobx said they only ask for it again when they aren't happy with the result.
So they must have found something a miss or they wouldn't have requested a second sample.

@Kaybobx not yet but can feel it hahah.

OP posts:
candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 12:23

@Kaybobx no they didn't say why. It literally says this

"The results of your recent seminal analysis are not entirely satisfactory. Please be aware however that one unsatisfactory result does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your sperm sample. There are many factors that can affect the quality of the sample. If you have been asked for to return to an appointment in 12 weeks this is to allow for a new cycle of spermatozoa formation to be completed."

OP posts:
Boc86 · 28/09/2020 13:11

Ahh hope is all ok with the SA or something fixable anyway @candycrush2298
Yes my temp starts to creep up before ov is that normal? Did last month too x

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 13:59

@Boc86 fluctuations are normal. Thought you meant like significantly rising as if progesterone had already kicked in xx

OP posts:
Elakiya · 28/09/2020 14:00

@candycrush2298 awww I'm sorry! But lets not think the worst here. Hubby's taking his supplements right. You have about 2.5 months to improve this unknown issue. Therefore lets see if we can find some natural things to improve sperm quality/motility/count whatever sperm related stuff come. I'll have a google and get back to you on what I find. We're going to get through this. Stay strong!

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 14:05

@Elakiya I am not worried if its count or motility as that can be fixed. I am concerned about morphology because if he has weirdly shaped sperm that's basically male infertility. There's a less than 1% chance of pregnancy.

OP posts:
candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 14:06

And I am mad because its now another 3 months before we get referred to the fertility clinic which currently has an 8 month waiting list meaning that our first appointment with the clinic will be around this time next year 😭😭😭😭

OP posts:
Elakiya · 28/09/2020 14:23

@candycrush2298 I was going to say go private. But it sounds like you need to wait 12 weeks for them to spot anything.

You still have a right to the results that have been produced. I think they'd be sent to your GP. I'd call and say you want a copy (Well hubby call and say he wants a copy). Once you get a copy we'll see if we can work out what's wrong. I can send it to my GP friend and ask what it means... or we could see if we can find anything on google.

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 14:58

@Elakiya yeah will try calling them. Hubby doesn't seem perturbed and doesn't really want to know. He says its just standard procedure and it's not a surprise as the doc told him in his meeting with him that most times they request a second sample for comparison and its nothing to be alarmed by. So he says just wait it out. Nothing to worry about. I mean he does remember who is wife is??? The biggest worrier in history. So hoping the doc will give me the results 🤣 or even email it to hubbys address I am OK with that lol!!

OP posts:
Elakiya · 28/09/2020 16:51

@candycrush2298 Hmm maybe you might be able to get them to post it out. Unsure though as I feel like the patient probably has to request it themselves. Maybe tell him sex is off the table until he requests it lol!

"This is where a sample of semen is analysed to check the quality and quantity of the sperm. The results are usually available within a week.

If the results are not normal, the test should be repeated to ensure it was accurate. This will normally be performed after 3 months."

I found the above here: www.nhs.uk/conditions/low-sperm-count/

Really hoping it's something easily solved.

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 17:08

@Elakiya I think he is nervous to know the truth so he is in denial he is such a softie that this would be a huge blow to his self esteem and I don't want to add that kind of pressure onto him. So I would rather try myself.

Yeah they definitely found an abnormality. Its just now to see if that abnormality is irreversible or reversible

OP posts:
NamechangeTTC · 28/09/2020 17:19

Sorry @candycrush2298

@Elakiya do you need me to post soy?

Boc86 · 28/09/2020 17:39

Do you reckon my progesterone has risen from this chart?
I won’t be ovulating tomorrow/next day like it thinks, it’ll definitely be Thursday/Friday x

CSG (Thread 4)
candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 17:46

@NamechangeTTC that's OK I actually feel alright which is weird hahah

@Boc86 I am no expert in temps but judging by how flatlined your temps were and now they rising it does look like it i think tomorrow if your temps rise again you will get a coverline which confirms ovulation. In the event that it is its great that you have already BD'd if it drops a bit then it may still just be normal fluctuations. Are you using a BBT thermometer?

OP posts:
NamechangeTTC · 28/09/2020 18:14

I’m on cd11 and my LH is the same as cd15 last month. Think I may ovulate earlier!!

Elakiya · 28/09/2020 19:19

@NamechangeTTC I'll let you know if I can't find any around me. Thank you so much! Every ovulation is good this might be your soy month.

@candycrush2298 At least you're finally going to get some answers. You know that home kit thing does that check for the same things a sperm analysis does, or were some additional things checked. I know nothing about male fertility.

@Kaybobx Sorry I completely missed your previous message. I am CD 13. I haven't been taking my metformin properly and not checking OPK's so I think ovulation might be delayed this month. Also eating wise I am being soo bad as I am on the final stretch to exams.

Boc86 · 28/09/2020 19:36

Ahh @candycrush2298 I really hope it’s some easily fixable issue

Oh sorry ignore the ones before I just inputted 36.36 for days beforehand to get a cover line after it starts to go up lol
I just couldn’t be bothered to temp for ages 🙈
I’ve definitely not ovulated and definitely not going to get my positive tomorrow
My tests are definitely getting a teensy bit darker and I’m sure I’ll get my positive around Thursday x

candycrush2298 · 28/09/2020 19:52

@NamechangeTTC whoop whoop for ovulation.

@Elakiya yeah like I said before though it was more about getting my hubbys ego up it was an American test and in the USA the minimum count is 6million and the tedt literally just said normal above 6 millipn but doesn't say what the count was. where as UK is 15million. So his count still could be a problem. And the home test said the motility was good. But it does not check morphology only a lab can do that as it needs to be seen under a microscope.

@Boc86 lol then your temps aren't rising whahahahaha so they are not on the rise they are just follicular phase temps whahahahaha.
