@RichmondLady1981 sorry to butt in but thank you for sharing that pic. I have just downloaded that app as I started using OPKS today. I wasn’t aware you had to test twice daily. I’m only CD10 today and LH is very low (recorded as 0.2 on that app). I wouldn’t need to test twice daily at the moment would I? Xx

VP91x · 19/09/2020 06:18

Morning all x

I've been away for quite a few days and I had my week away in Somerset, got back yesterday. (@Lollol86 it was fab! But I'm even more tired now than I was before I left 🤣).

I'm going to catch up on the thread properly later and reply to everyone who's tagged me.

Update on me I'm on CD3 now - it was really shit getting AF this month, but what can you do. Hope everyone is okay x

@RichmondLady1981 when you do morning and night tests...does it matter how much water etc you’ve drank before the evening one?

Your phot has made me realise how helpful that would be doing two cheapies per day - in addition to my CBD. I love for CBD but I think the cheapies would help too with pin pointing a teeny bit more the actual peak.

This is the only reason I only test in a morning because I drink approx 5litres per day so am just always thinking that my evening would be so diluted? Or do you try not to drink for a certain length of time in the run up? Xxx

HappyVibes · 19/09/2020 08:11

Aww good morning @VP91x Glad you has a lovely time in Somerset. Aww lovely it’s not ever easy is it saying hi to AF! Blurrrh! Let yourself go through the motions of whatever you feel, and then dust yourself off when the time is right & back with lots of might girl.

Hopefully you can continue with your vits etc from last cycle & you will ovulate again this month 💫 💓

MrsK21 · 19/09/2020 10:04

@HappyVibes I was using the CB digis and supplementing with twice daily cheapies too. This month my CB only gave me flashy smileys and I didn't get a solid face peak on them. If I didn't do the cheapies too I potentially could've missed my peak!

I use it at 1pm and then again in evening.
Your wee shouldn't be too diluted to get an accurate reading, I drink a lot of water too but for 2-3 days a month I sacrifice that to get my peak as it's a very quick one.
Attached a photo of my cheapies so you can see rough timings

According to my CBs I didn't get a peak but I know I ovulated as I had a pelvic scan which showed I did.

Next month, I'm ditching the CB digis as for me I've found they're not as accurate as the cheapies xxx

@VP91x I thought you were away. I bet Bella loves Butlins didn't she? How was is with social distancing? Xx

I've just had my 12 weeks scan letter through the post, just over 3 weeks away!

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 10:32

Hi @Bellabubble. Sounds manic for you! I take my hat off to you being an EYFS specialist. Come and work for my school! We need more of those! My temp went up a little this morning. No idea what’s going on. Had a bit of brown on 10DPO and currently 13DPO. One app said period yesterday and other app said to expect it Monday. So going to wait to Monday before thinking about testing. Temp went up but not to anything terrifically high so not getting my hopes up. Since the mmc I’ve noticed my luteal is much longer (which is good!) but means my AF is just a little later than expected which can get ones hopes up! So not going to let that happen this time. Am prepped mentally for AF Monday. 😊

@daisyorange what’s your temp saying? How was the wine? My temp went slightly up today but nothing significant.

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 10:34

@HappyVibes morning! That makes sense. I don’t drink that much as I’d be weeing all day! 🤣 (pelvic floor not what it used to be!).

It’s weird as I’ve always had my peak OPKs and even my BFP with afternoon wee! Never morning wee!

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 10:35

@HappyVibes forgot to mention, when I see the line getting darker that’s when I start two a day as in the past I’ve missed my peak. Good trick someone taught me. X

Runnergirl1 · 19/09/2020 10:44

No sign of af for me cd31. Looks like they are back to being irregular 😢. Feel like crying just want a normal 28 day cycle so I can get back on it and try again. Ovulated cd 14/15 so don’t know why she isn’t here, unless I didn’t actually ovulate this month. Oh and I’ve been getting bfn’s so not pregnant either. Ahhhhhhh x

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 11:05

@Runnergirl1. Same happened to me I used to have 28 days on the dot and now mine are averaging 32/33. I think you’ll see AF in the next day or two. Hang in there!

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 11:08

@MinnieMouse4 no probs. I didn’t know either until recently. Really helps find a peak. That’s why I love the PreMom app as you can keep a good track automatically with the app cycle. It’s does all the work for you.... well except It obviously Doesn’t pee on a stick 🤣. Wouldn’t that be clever!

I notice that when there’s a surge it happens so quickly, so when I notice a slight darkening I test twice daily otherwise I’d miss it for sure. Glad you’ve found this helpful. Good luck! 😘

Runnergirl1 · 19/09/2020 11:52

@RichmondLady1981 thank you lovely. Just feeling abit crappy about it all tbh. I just want to get my rainbow baby and yes it hasn’t been long since my mmc but I’m just struggling today x

daisyorange · 19/09/2020 11:59

@RichmondLady1981 woke up with a hangover and my period 🤣!

Looking forward to my next FW as going on trip in the UK with my husband.

I didn’t use OPKs this month as we decided to have a more relaxed approach but according to temps my cycle is always 30 days with ovulation around CD 18/19. It’s funny, the month of my BFP we only DTD once in that week, and I had the longest and most strange cycle before that. Now I am regular as clockwork, but just not happening!

Starting to think it’s pure bloody luck and I’m trying too hard!!!

Keeping my chin up as it’s only cycle 3 TTC baby #1 for us - I’m excited for what the future holds 😊

Fingers crossed for you as the spotting is positive!!

Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 16:23

Hi @daisyorange. Me too !!! Wicked witch AF showed her bitchy face this afternoon so we are in this together! I’m feeling disappointed but ok really. What CD do you usually ovulate?

Good luck to all the other ladies testing soon 😘

RichmondLady1981 · 19/09/2020 16:27

@Runnergirl1 I understand. It’s totally crappy what we’ve all been though, but it will happen. Just give it some time. We are all here to support you x

AutumnDays90 · 19/09/2020 17:10

Sorry AF showed @RichmondLady1981 and @daisyorange Sad fingers crossed for next cycle!

@Runnergirl1 sorry you are in limbo waiting for AF, that must be frustrating!

I think I may have ovulated so now entering the 2ww. I really don't think we would ever be so fortunate to conceive so quickly but the tracking of my cycle is distracting me from feeling too down.

I am due a smear test now anyway, so gonna phone the GP and book in for the week when AF is due.

Pugprincess · 20/09/2020 01:21

Hi ladies. Just thought I’d give you an update. Had a right scare on Friday. I started bleeding 😩 like red blood. Really panicked and got my Saturday morning scan brought forward to Friday night. Turns out baby was fine and it’s a hematoma which after googling looks to be a subchorionic bleed which I think I’ve read quite a lot on these forums. Mines only small at the moment (1cm) but still having brown which is never great to see. It was strange as it came out the blue and I had no pain but you still worry it’s a miscarriage starting. The sonographer/midwife was great though she searched and searched until she found it and she showed me my cervix is still closed. Just got to hope it stops now and sorts itself out, apparently they usually reabsorb as they are like a bruise on the outside of the uterus. I think the fact I’m still having brown now might mean it’s still bleeding just slowly at the moment. Il attach a scan picture, the baby gave us a wave as it’s hit arms and legs etc and wriggling about ❤️ Measuring 9+1 on Friday and I’m 9+4 today. One day at a time...

Also I’m negative for covid so it was just a bad cold. Back to school tomorrow but there’s been 6 cases and 5 of those in staff so il be wearing full ppe-mask visor gloves and apron. We keeps doors and windows open for fresh air and I will be limiting my time in class eg if doing jobs for teacher il sit outside classroom to do them. Also not going to spend lunch in staffroom I will sit outside when dry or go to my car if raining. They are preparing home learning so it may not be long till we close with the way things are going here. I personally think schools with no cases should stay open and continue but obviously something is going very wrong where I am so that should be looked at. These 6 cases have all been within one week! I’m taking my own hand soap and anti Bac wipes too. Sorry if I sound OTT but not taking any chances with baby.

Sorry to those who are feeling frustrated 😔 I can only sympathise with you after 5 years of TTC and nothing happening. Don’t give up, it can and will happen ❤️

Hi all, I hope everyone is getting on okay. I've been quietly reading along whilst taking a step back a bit this month from all things ttc but just wanted to say @Pugprincess what's a gorgeous scan pic!! So pleased for you 💕 I bet you were terrified but I'm really glad you know the cause of the bleed.

Sending lots of well wishes and baby dust to you all ladies 💕🌈

Bellabubble · 20/09/2020 12:35

@RichmondLady1981 lol - I love early years! It is totally my passion! I was moved to year 3 last year, and the children were awesome (biased as they were some of my old class lol!) but I didn’t get the same buzz from the teaching! I still enjoyed being with the children though, and it was great to have really decent conversations woth the children too!

Random question! I haven’t been opk’ing recently to be a bit more relaxed, but yesterday I had the stretchy cm (I thought that was supper fertile and ovulation is imminent!) so I did an opk as it’s a bit esrlier than expected, but it’s still really low! I know I oeak quick, but it then comes down slowly so even if I had my surge, it would still be high - this was pretty non-existent lol! Ly temps haven’t gone up either, they are still jn the 35.80s - so I know I haven’t ovulated, but why the stretchy stuff then?! Obviously we dtd anyways 😂 but just found it a bit weird!

susiebluebell · 20/09/2020 12:41

@Pugprincess You gave me a right scare the way you started that post! 😱 But I'm delighted for you that you've found the cause and it was nothing to worry about. Great to hear about a good midwife too 👍🏻

Yeah it does sound like they are making overtures that another lockdown could be possible - I've just started my studies and it was all quite up in the air. The literal only upside I can see is that we will be at home doing the baby dance more! 🙈 Trying to see the lighter side of it as I really don't want a repeat of the spring..

Hope everyone's having a nice Sunday. My AF has finished and I've been down the beach with the dog so feeling good!

RichmondLady1981 · 20/09/2020 16:15

@Pugprincess that must have been so petrifying. I remember I had a bleed at 6wks with my DS and had convinced myself it was all over. It’s so terrifying. Thank goodness all is ok and what a wonderful scan. All the best for the next 9 months!!!

@Northernsoul90 that’s a great idea and I’m going to be doing the same. It’s lovely to have such amazing support from all you ladies but there has to be a balance in our lives doesn’t there! Looking to push my running on and get outside as much as possible even if the weather is bad. Love getting out for a sweaty muddy run in the rain. Makes me feel alive when work is getting too much! We all have to find that thing that takes us away from the stress.

@susiebluebell the beach sounds amazing. Enjoy!

@Bellabubble you guys are so hard to find! I wish we had staff who were as enthusiastic as you are. I love years 1 and 2. They are my favourite. I just got the deputy head position at my school but still teach certain lessons. So important for SLT to keep in touch with what’s going on in the classroom. Even the Head!

I have the same re EWCM. I read a lot about this and sometimes your body can gear up for ovulation but it doesn’t happen. This happened to me a couple of times and I immediately got a static smiley on the CB ov kit. I was using cheapies alongside thank god so I could see whT was happening. I was having a LH surge that was high... so my body started producing EWCM but it wasn’t actually my peak. Even though I got my static something told me to keep using the cheapies. I couldn’t use the CB as it stays static for 3 days afterwards and you can’t use it. The next day the line on the cheapie went lighter and then the following days bam... I hit my peak... much darker than two days ago when CB said I was ovulating. Yes it did it’s job in picking up a surge in LH but it wasn’t my peak... I had a higher surge 2 days later. That’s why sometimes we produce EWCM at different times in the month. I spoke to a gp about this. Sometimes our body tries to ovulate And gears up early some cycles and produces LH but then your body doesn’t actually ovulate, and then gears up and happens a few days later. I’d urge EVERYONE to use cheapies alongside the CB as sometimes it can indicate ovulation too early. I hope this makes sense.

RichmondLady1981 · 20/09/2020 16:25

@MinnieMouse4 no I don’t test twice daily until it starts to get higher. Let me know how it goes x you’ll notice once it starts to get higher you’ll get your peak really quickly! Don’t blink! 🤣

MinnieMouse4 · 20/09/2020 18:52

@RichmondLady1981 thank you for the tip! At what point would you recommend using 2 per day (going from the numerical reading Premom gives you)? I’m currently on a reading of 0.18 so think I have a long way to go yet! I started on a 0.2 two days ago so it is creeping up! Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 20/09/2020 19:20

@MinnieMouse4 I’d start doing twice a day above .5! It stays low for ages but once it starts moving it’s fast!
