@PinkFizz19 welcome to the group and so sorry for your loss- you’ve been through a lot! Hopefully you’ll get some support here. I agree with you, Mc was always something that happened to other people, not me. When it did happen I was aback by how many people had been through the same thing. Awful in one respect but it was good to know I wasn’t alone. And to find this group was such a great support network. X

RichmondLady1981 · 06/10/2020 17:15

@MinnieMouse4 @KatiePlus3 @northerngal20 Good luck with the next week or so. Sending LOADS of baby dust your way! 💫

RichmondLady1981 · 06/10/2020 17:20

@Furbsies just informed my husband the good news that I’ll be ‘requiring his company’ when I get home. I think he’s about to collapse in a heap! 🤣 🤦🏼‍♀️. That might have to be it I think this FW. Don’t think we can manage the day after ovulation as well. Hopefully there’s some healthy swimmers hanging out waiting for the big moment!

Furbsies · 06/10/2020 17:24

I have had some very very very light brown discharge. Not sure if this is AF turning up or something else entirely.

@susiebluebell thank you so much. Hoping I get some answers too

@RichmondLady1981 DH has been feeling the same way, the long working hours are not in our favour.

HappyVibes · 06/10/2020 18:06

@MinnieMouse4 your ‘non symptom spotting’ signs seem very hopeful!!! 7DPO eeek! Good luck!

@RichmondLady1981 I think that’s very common through FW. We are the exact same in our FW. The things we blooming do eh?!

Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 06/10/2020 18:48

@Furbsies what DPO are you? And how many days till predicted AF?

RichmondLady1981 · 06/10/2020 18:50

@HappyVibes I know! Running out of ideas! 🤣

Sully84 · 06/10/2020 21:23

Evening all, welcome @PinkFizz19, sorry for what you have been through.

I am currently CD25, I never got a smiley face on my pink CB ovulation sticks so no idea if I even ovulated. Had 21 day bloods done and waiting results. Up until probably yesterday had been nonchalant about it as I thought I don’t even know if I am in the TWW, then yesterday and today have been in overdrive symptom spotting and day dreaming. So frustrating as before all this my cycle was 28 days. Last month it was over 40 days. I’m trying to hold out for testing until at least the weekend of AF hasn’t shown by then.

Sallyjo27 · 06/10/2020 21:31

Hi all, hope you’ve all had a good day, sorry to those who have joined x

Just letting you all know incase this will be helpful to others. I messaged clear blue about their ovulation test saying “ Hi I’ve got the clearblue advanced ovulation test kit. I was wondering would I still get a flashing smilie after I’ve ovulated as I’m not sure if I used it after I’ve ovulated (it didn’t arrive in time for me to use it as recommended)” and their reply was “ Yes this is normal but it's not useful information as there is a second estrogen rise after ovulation. We recommend that you stop testing and save the Holder and remaining test sticks for next cycle, if needed.” so I think it’s really important to you use a while before you ovulate just incase you miss it (like I did) x

susiebluebell · 06/10/2020 22:37

That's very good to know @Sallyjo27 and shows how with any tracking you need to do it for at least a couple of cycles to get reliable data. I'm personally so much more knowledgeable and interested in all things biology since getting into TTC! Never thought I'd be googling different hormone names but there you go!

I think we're done for this cycle, DTD twice in the last 24hrs and ovulation predicted tomorrow. Family birthday season is in full swing so what with celebrating various people, I'm hoping to be busy enough not to tie myself in knots during the TWW!

Hope everyone else is well tonight x

RichmondLady1981 · 06/10/2020 22:59

Thanks @Sallyjo27. Good info. Yes I read about that second surge of oestrogen. Apparently that’s what causes the so called ‘implantation dip’ after ovulation. Progesterone causes a rise in temp and oestrogen lowers temp.

Always good to start those clear blue things on the specific date stated in the pack. They can get quite pricey!
Thanks again x

Furbsies · 06/10/2020 23:17

@RichmondLady1981 I thought I was approaching ovulation after skipping a cycle. But perhaps not as I still haven't seen a static smiley. It's still flashing and as I read in this thread that may be because of estrogen rise... Not necessarily linked to ovulation

Also been told my bloods came back with my FSH was slightly raised compared to my LH , oestradiol and progesterone levels. With normal SHBG and testosterone.
Basically was told the ratio was off and different hormones suggested different stages in the cycle.

Have been told to get a repeat and come in for an assessment as well with an US in November.

RichmondLady1981 · 07/10/2020 07:36

Hi @Furbsies

Yes that’s right. The flashing smiley is the detection of oestrogen (that comes before LH). When it’s a static, that’s the detection of LH. The issue is, LH surges can be quick and easily missed! Some ladies gal pregnant and say they never got a static! So flipping tricky.

It might sound a bit frustrating to get those results but you’re on track to getting it sorted. Especially if they are seeing you next cycle! You will soon have answers and who knows, you may not need to go if you get a BFP before then. Somethings happening for you to get the flashing smileys. Not sure what the FSH tells you but I’m sure some of the lovely ladies on here will have some info.

What’s SHBG?

Ultrasounds are quite good as they can see what’s going on with Ovaries and follicles.

RichmondLady1981 · 07/10/2020 07:41

@HappyVibes @MinnieMouse4 @KatiePlus3 @Firevie @Bellabubble

Any symptoms from you ladies? 😁

Firevie · 07/10/2020 07:45

@RichmondLady1981 no symptoms here other than BBT staying elevated - pic attached. 9dpo today xxx

Furbsies · 07/10/2020 08:02

@RichmondLady1981
AF seems to be here finally. Think I'm more relieved to know I can actually start tracking from the start of the cycle again..

From what I understand high FSH tells me exactly what I do have which is PCOS

SHBG regulates the amount of testosterone in the blood I think it binds to it so there isn't too much free testosterone in the blood. And so has an effect on it

It's so weird going through this. When I had my MC they said ovaries, uterus everything looked healthy and here I am with cysts, polyps and other problems trying to get to the other side.

RichmondLady1981 · 07/10/2020 10:24

@Firevie wow it’s really elevating. This is sooo exciting

@Furbsies sorry you’re going through all of this. I totally understand it must be a relief to know where you’re at with your cycle. Just think hopefully this time next month after you’ve had the scan, you’ll have so much more of an idea what’s going on. 💕

susiebluebell · 07/10/2020 14:57

Woo @Firevie that is an amazing trend of temp rises! Hope they continue for all the right reasons 😉

Firevie · 07/10/2020 15:38

@susiebluebell aww thank you and haha yes hopefully I buy for the right reasons xxx

KatiePlus3 · 07/10/2020 16:57

I've had a positive FRER today! I'm roughly 9dpo and it's pretty clear :) will test to make sure it gets darker but I think I'm a little in denial, also I still have 6 days until AF due so praying I dont have another chemical, is anyone else testing? Xx

northerngal20 · 07/10/2020 17:22

omg @KatiePlus3 congratulations!!! so exciting!! so pleased for you!!! work is crazy this week for me so i'm actually managing to get through the tww without going too crazy, i'm gonna hold off until early next week to test

RichmondLady1981 · 07/10/2020 17:50

@KatiePlus3 this is amazing news!!!! Everything crossed!! Whoop whoop!

RichmondLady1981 · 07/10/2020 17:53

Please would anyone mind looking at my charts.

Predicted ovulation yesterday
peak LH on cheapie was Monday
static Smile on CB Sunday

My question is, should I dtd tonight? not sure I can face it! 😭 Or am I done?

@RichmondLady1981 no other symptoms..just what I get jormally before af these days (also annoyingly what I experienced when i was pg..so it’s hard to distinguish lol!) currently cd29..apart from the cycle after the miscarriage which was 31 days, 29 has been my longest! So tomorrow is D-Day..or p-day lol! I did to a clear blue test I got off of amazon (they arrived earlier than expected!) but nothing happened - the control line was blank! So I took that as a sign to leave it a few more days lol!

HappyVibes · 07/10/2020 18:22

@RichmondLady1981 I would say you’re covered as your peak on cheapie and you static from CB would both suggest ovulation approx Mon/Tues. i do think one more this evening would perhaps be in the FW still if you did want to, but IMO you’re either at the very very end of your FW, if not already finished. So i wouldn’t put too much pressure on yourselves lovely if you don’t feel up to it. You sound like you have all bases covered already.
