@Jazper I've been exactly the same. Every month I was getting more and more obsessed and I definitely took a step back this month although it didn't work. But I'm ready to move on to next cycle with this new outlook on things. When my DH went for analysis they said to leave it 2 days but no more than 3 so I always assume that's prime sperm time!lol I usually ovulate CD14 but was doing SMEP which meant I'd only DTD maybe 3 times before I ovulated then loads when I got my peak. I think I need to focus on DTD a bit more on the lead up to it. I'll try it anyway! Thanks x

Pugprincess · 02/10/2020 19:46

@Jazper awwwww huge congratulations and no need to apologise ❤️ I’m reading every day but a bit quieter too as I just offer advice or thoughts when I feel it’s helpful.

@Tink20058 aw I hope it all settles down for you and she stays in there as long as she can! ❤️

@Runnergirl1 aw with the longer cycle and different stuff coming out it does sound like it’s still having some clear out to get back to normal. Hopefully this one will do the trick so it’s all good for next FW 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hope everyone else is ok xx

VP91x · 02/10/2020 20:32

Oh @Jazper I am so happy to read this wonderful news from you ❤️❤️

Congratulations! I done a little squeal when I saw. I think you echo how quite a few of us have been feeling and how I have been over the last few weeks. Just dipping in and out but feeling overwhelmed and emotional.

Wishing you such a happy and healthy pregnancy. Time will start flying by hopefully. Will you retest? Sending you a massive hug! 💜

Congratulations @Jazper! Wow that’s super interesting that you bought your window forward. I was about to shorten my FT this cycle as we found DTD for a week before ovulation was just too much, and by the time I ovulated we Were knackered. Thinking of changing my mind now I’ve read your story!

Like @chloedancer897 I’d too like to know if you DTD every other day? What were you advised? Congrats again and sorry for all the questions. X

MinnieMouse4 · 02/10/2020 21:14

Hi All

I’m so happy to hear of all the BFPs in the group! It’s so uplifting and gives me some hope that will be me soon! Congratulations ladies!

I went a bit quiet for a few days (I have still been reading and following everyone’s journeys) as I had a little bit of a meltdown if I’m honest. I continued with OPKs for a few days which kept decreasing with each test I did and I was quite gutted that I didn’t catch the proper peak. OH and me fell out as he was the one who suggested we ttc straight away and then lost interest halfway through my cycle (literally around ovulation) and I just felt a bit overwhelmed and let down. So we didn’t end up dtd at any point after the smiley on that pink CBD. I started out so optimistic as well!

I also am wondering if I did even ovulate as there was no O pains or EWCM as usual. I really think I’ve missed it either way and am in 2 minds whether to just write this month off or be optimistic about the TWW.

Sorry this post is so long. Just struggling a bit at the mo xxx

HappyVibes · 02/10/2020 21:51

Ah @MinnieMouse4 you were in a situation that was inevitably going to cause emotions & confusion. I think sometimes we focus a lot on ourselves as the women with it being our bodies, but sometimes we don’t acknowledge as much how it must be emotionally impacting on our Oh’s too. Hopefully you and your OH have had chance to talk it through & work out what you feel most comfortable with going forward? It may be a good thing that this happened, to maybe give an insight into the balance or cycle approach that would best work for both of you? It’s so hard because it’s soooooo pressurising for both sides because it’s so wanted. I hope you find your equilibrium lovely. You never know, the approach where it’s not been too forced has worked wonders for lots of ladies in here so you may well have a lovely surprise 💓💓💓

chloedancer897 · 02/10/2020 21:55

@MinnieMouse4 we have ALL been here. It's such a stress focusing so much on peaks and fertile windows and then our OHs end up feeling like robots who are expected to perform as soon as we tell them. I actually stopped telling my OH when I was testing and just pounced on him. I found the stress of TTC made it so unromantic and I'm sure he felt used. Don't worry about your peak this month and just enjoy the rest of the month. Are your cycles normally regular? I've found that I know roughly when I'm going to ovulate now so try not to rely too much on the OPKs. Also I don't know if you saw but I never got a peak on OPKs this month but did get my CBD smiley and a temp rise. So I think it depends on when you take them. The CBD is more fool proof IMO. Don't be too disheartened xx

Jazper · 02/10/2020 22:00

Oh @VP91x I've been waiting for you to see and comment, thank you so so much 🥰 I'm cautiously hopeful but not allowing myself to get carried away. I'm nervous to retest but I will and will pop the pic on here so you can all compare. The camera didn't pick up the colour well but the line is definitely faint pink (I know because I can't stop looking at it 😍😂) You keep this group going, always supporting us and starting new threads, you're like the mummy of the group and I can't wait to see you get your long awaited bfp too ❤️

@chloedancer897 we tried SMEP a couple of cycles and it was exhausting 🥵 I do wonder if I was perhaps timing dtd too close to ov all those cycles and not giving the swimmers enough time to get there and hang around to meet the egg. But then who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you @Pugprincess and I'm so pleased your pregnancy has progressed as it should, you really deserve this after 5 years of ttc!

@RichmondLady1981 thank you lovely 😊 we were advised every 2-3 days between days 10 and 16. We dtd cd 10,11,12 and 14. I previously wasn't opening my FW until about cd12 x

MinnieMouse4 · 02/10/2020 22:04

Thanks so much @HappyVibes and @chloedancer897
We have talked about it and he still wants to go ahead with the same next cycle but I’m apprehensive as I don’t want him to get bored again at the most vital time! I suppose I have a few weeks to mull it over and make a proper decision. At least it’s Friday hey! Xxx

Lollol86 · 02/10/2020 22:21

@Jazper wow such lovely news, congratulations 🥳 wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xx

Pugprincess · 03/10/2020 06:09

@Jazper thank you ❤️ I’m nearing 12 weeks now! Had a scan yesterday and baby was jumping around literally. Join us on the pregnancy after mmc thread when you feel ready. If you need the link let me know and I will send it to you. X

Regarding how often to dtd I was told to keep DH sperm fresh by doing once every few days. Then right before ovulation (day before) we started doing it twice a day to get a good build up in there. Did that until day or two after ovulation. DH did run out in the end so it’s not easy on them. But defo once a day for those 4/5 days I would. X

@MinnieMouse4 sorry to hear you’re feeling 😔 maybe your bodies still sorting itself out this cycle? X

Pugprincess · 03/10/2020 06:12

Don’t think sperm take long to travel up, like less than an hour, but if partner has slower sperm or less count maybe allow more days before to get a good supply up there ready and waiting?

Firevie · 03/10/2020 06:35

Morning ladies, I think I’m going to join those who have been feeling meh
My BBT dropped today and now I’m willing myself not to think the obvious bit it’s hard. Every morning I pray my BBT stays elevated and today it dropped dammit! I did take it 15mins earlier than usual and it was 36.35. I didn’t move and waited 15mins and re too and it was 36.44. Not much of a difference I guess. Cover line is 36.50. For those who BBT - ant advice? Currently 5dpo xx

RichmondLady1981 · 03/10/2020 07:11

@Firevie5DPO is early for a dip! When are you due on AF. Could be implantation dip?

Firevie · 03/10/2020 07:34

@RichmondLady1981 thank you and sorry for disturbing everyone so early! AF is due next Saturday so in one week. I did google implantation dip but that said it’s usually from 6dpo onwards? OH is worried about me because he’s saying I just get stressed too much about these things and it will happen when it does. I know he’s right but I can’t help get worked up about it though I tell myself I shouldn’t 😒

RichmondLady1981 · 03/10/2020 10:13

@Firevie I have a 16 month old so I’m used to be up early! 🤣 don’t worry! It impossible to not get involved. 6dpo would be right for an implantation dip. I read about this and the dip has more recently been put down to our second surge of oestrogen. The second is after ovulation. Implantation dips were seen in both women who were and were not pregnant in many studies but were observed in more pregnant cycles than non pregnant. This could be good!

Will867 · 03/10/2020 10:29

Hi ladies I was on here a while ago I need your advice. I’m now just over 6 weeks pregnant but I started spotting last night like I did In my first miscarriage, I’m trying 111 and can’t get through and I’ve tried epau and they’ve said I need to get a gp referral I’m not sure what to do I just know it’s happening again coz I’ve had very little symptoms please can you advise?

Firevie · 03/10/2020 10:38

@RichmondLady1981 aw a cute little 16month old. I want to be woken up by a baby too! Thanks for the research. I’m only 5dpo though?! Maybe an early implantation? Because as you mentioned it’s still prob too early for AF dip right? Ahhh clutching at straws. I do feel super bloated as well. I have a lower bulging tummy but been running so not sure why I’m putting on weight. Maybe a side effect of the progesterone. Xxx

Firevie · 03/10/2020 10:39

@Will867 I’m sure you’ll be fine but perhaps try ringing your gp ? Or just go to A&E? Anything that will help put your mind to rest xxx

Will867 · 03/10/2020 11:34

Thanks @Firevie I managed to get through to 111 and the nurse practitioner advised me to go to a and e so here I am. Just feel like it’s here we go again. I seem to have a problem keeping my little ones I’m gutted

Pugprincess · 03/10/2020 11:48

@Will867 aw I really hope it turns out to be ok. What’s the spotting like? Red or brown? Much? Is it mixed with discharge? It could be a haematoma outside the uterus as I’ve had that this time and I goy bright red then brown with that. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Will867 · 03/10/2020 12:02

@pugprincess last night it was little bit of red now it’s turned to brown stringy and in cm, I’m not holding out much hope because it started brown last time and I haven’t had many pregnancy symptoms and I’m getting like what I can describe as mild period cramps. I just don’t think it’s looking good just got bad feeling

Will867 · 03/10/2020 12:03

@pugprincess atm it’s not much at all it’s not even on paper when I wipe just inside

Runnergirl1 · 03/10/2020 12:03

@Will867 I hope all turns out ok. Sending lots of love your way x

Jazper · 03/10/2020 12:27

Thank you @Lollol86 ❤️

And thanks also to you @Pugprincess , I'll come and join you when I feel secure enough too 🙈
I need to retest again first and see how dark my line is. Thinking of doing so tomorrow and I'm really nervous 😩 i'll carry on loitering in here for now...
I can't believe you are almost 12 weeks, that has flown by! Xx
