@moocher90 definitely not too late. Depends at what time you dtd and when you ovulate in that day which is near impossible to know other than it happened on that day. Good luck . I can't help with the pill as when I came off we weren't ttc so didn't pay much attention to how long it took for my period to come back . It did become regular fairly quickly though and has been since then and that is about a year now.

I had a positive opk and CB smiley yesterday. Normally CB detects 2 days with a smiley but that would knock ovulation off in my app. The IC showed instantly yesterday and was darker than control line so I assume I ovulate today. I haven't tested today yet and only use the CB once I have a positive IC as they are so expensive. I am planning to test this morning and then again later on as we can't dtd until night as oh is working.

Good luck to anyone due to test this week.

@galatea098 thank you. I am due AF the 27th so will test around then. I try not to test early. Also wait till a weekend to test as hate the idea of going to work after seeing a blank screen. Good luck in your tww. Fingers crossed we will have our BFP and AF will stay away x

Queenie193 · 13/09/2020 10:16

@SadieMcdadie1 all those symptoms sound good for a BFP! When is AF due? When will you test?

@1992EM I know what you mean about testing at a weekend but honestly not sure I'll be able to wait!

1992EM · 13/09/2020 13:21

@queenie193 I've been lucky since being back at work I have always been due at a weekend. Prior to that I was working at home so didn't matter.

So opk was negative today so ovulation must be today like i thought. Now on to the 2ww.

AnnaPosie · 13/09/2020 15:02

Just did a cheap pregnancy test and no luck today, I knew I would cave 😂 period is about 4/5 days away so feel like I'm out already, I will test if period is late, still no AF symptoms so that's the only thing I'm hanging onto. I ovulated on the 3/4 of this month .

@AnnaPosie sorry about the negative. You are still early and even Frer early aren't as reliable 5 or 6 days out. I would wait until you are due and test then. You are not out until AF shows. Good luck 💕

AnnaPosie · 13/09/2020 15:13

@1992EM yeah you are right I'm probably being a bit hasty! Just so used to negatives 😂🙈
Best of luck with your tww.

Does anyone know actually if the thing about testing with first pee of the day makes any difference? Or is it just a myth ?

@AnnaPosie thanks
I think first morning urine is more concentrated so the hormone won't be diluted and will show . I think as you progress in pregnancy it won't matter as much .

PileofToss · 13/09/2020 17:04

Hi everyone! My DH are currently trying for our 1st as well Smile

I'm still trying to get my head around everything but my last injection was in December, so I was free of contraception by March this year. AF came along a couple of months later and has been pretty regular each month.

This is the first month where I've really started taking folic acid and tracking my ovulation etc. which I believe was last week. Now just keeping my fingers crossed that we managed to make it work!

I keep second guessing every single feeling I've got in my stomach (had a few stabbing pains in my stomach and today I've got a kind of nauseous feeling - could be in my head though!)

Really excited to be on this journey with everyone and hopefully learn some tips from you all - I feel so clueless!

AnnaPosie · 13/09/2020 17:10

@pileoftoss welcome 😊 your username gave me a good laugh! Love it 😊

It's definitely very overwhelming and I do the same, I Google symptoms or read into everything, it's hard not to ! It's a very testing time no matter how relaxed you are normally .
I find this forum a great help, I'm a few months in and still learning .

Wow so many of you in this thread have such good willpower 😂 I don't think I could ever wait until AF to test!!
When I had my chemical in July, I got a very clear BFP at 11dpo, so I'm pretty sure that had I tested at 9dpo I would've got a faint line. But I don't like the guessing game, so I think 11/12 dpo is a good time to start testing and a BFP should show by then! I think I will test on the 23rd this month as I will be 12 dpo, and I want a couple days notice to know if I'm pregnant or not before the wedding 😂

1992EM · 13/09/2020 19:23

@kalecat good luck i really hope you get an early wedding present 💕 I'm going to test around 13dpo which is only 1 day before AF . X

JeanieJ · 13/09/2020 19:47

Joining! AF is due on 26th.
@Kalecat I'm also getting married soon in October -the exact date my Oct AF is due. Really hoping I have some goods new this month. I get terrible pains on day 1.

x

Kalecat · 13/09/2020 21:01

@JeanieJ ooh good luck!! I also get terrible cramping on day 1 & heavy flow. Would be awful on wedding day.

SadieMcdadie1 · 14/09/2020 08:55

@Queenie193 AF is ‘due’ to arrive in about five days, but i think after having the implant in my cycle is neither here nor there right now and I don’t think it’ll arrive due to not being the right time. I did test a couple of days ago, I will test if it doesn’t come, but I’m not feeling very hopeful x

Queenie193 · 15/09/2020 00:31

Hey ladies, all quiet on here today (or should that read yesterday? 🤔) Hope everyone is ok!

@SadieMcdadie1 I know exactly what you mean about AF, I have no idea when I'm due as my last AF was my first off BC for 13 years. I'm thinking I'll just test between 12-14 DPO and go from there? As how would I know AF is late?

AnnaPosie · 15/09/2020 23:55

@JeanieJ

Good luck with your wedding, hope AF stays away !

My AF is due tomorrow, always get bad cramps on the first day especially if I haven't been exercising enough in the days before. No AF symtoms as of yet but did a test today and still negative, no hint of a line at all so I would be very surprised .

OP posts:
SadieMcdadie1 · 16/09/2020 12:36

@Queenie193 exactly!! I’m due for AF in a couple of days now and I still haven’t had any indication. Normally I feel slight cramping a couple of days before but nothing. This is probably the worst part about contraception messing up your body. I’m going to wait until about a week after when my AF is due if I do want to test. Not thinking about it anymore as I don’t want to stress.

SadieMcdadie1 · 16/09/2020 12:37

Sending baby dust to you. Some people don’t get a positive until 12-14 dpo, depending on your cycle length and such.

AnnaPosie · 18/09/2020 11:20

Hope you are all keeping well ?

I'm waiting on AF to arrive , she's two days late but I think I can feel her on the way, I'm putting the delay down to multivitamins again ! Second time has happened , two different brands so not sure what I should do 😂
I have taken about 4 tests all bfn so definitely not pregnant.

My best friend is due any day now so it's been a hard week for me I won't lie, her pregnancy was accidental and she got pregnant around the time we first decided to try so it's been a tough nine months , I've not told her we are trying so it's been hard not telling my friends how I am feeling so that's why having this group is a God send !

Hopefully we will all have a lucky month and if you are having a hard day/week, just remember it will be worth it in the end.

Have we anyone testing in the next week or so ? Can't believe how fast September is flying by.
