@Flowerkm thanks, I really hope so :)

Hmm well CM at this stage could be a positive sign, although I totally get you won't want to read too much into things, especially with getting BFN. When is AF due? xx

Flowerkm · 22/09/2020 16:00

AF is due Thursday so would expect to see a line I think..who knows lol Im probably being impatient 🙈 but i did think it was a good sign but not so sure now xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 16:40

@Flowerkm fingers crossed for you. Will you test if AF does not show on thursday?

OP posts:
Sarahp2308 · 22/09/2020 16:44

Maybe test again Thursday @Flowerkm

I’m on cycle day 15 OPKS still showing negative 🙄

Flowerkm · 22/09/2020 16:54

@TheDaydreamBelievers Thank you, how are you feeling? Ill test Thursday as should be something by then :)

@Sarahp2308 Theres still time, its such a waiting game isn't it? You testing once or twice a day? Xx

Sarahp2308 · 22/09/2020 16:58

@Flowerkm I’m only testing once a day at the moment, I’ve been back in the office this week so I just haven’t had time to test more than once, I could of missed it but there are so stark white I’m pretty sure it hasn’t happened

lawandgin · 22/09/2020 19:02

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I love catching up with this thread every day, always silently stalking if not saying much 🤣

My gynaecologist advised DH have a repeat semen analysis done to confirm vasectomy reversal was unsuccessful. Had it done today and it was confirmed no sperm. Completely expected, but still feel gutted about it for some stupid reason 🙄

@MintGreenLife fingers crossed for your GP consult on Thursday and the agnus castas - let us know how you get on!

MintGreenLife · 22/09/2020 19:11

@lawandgin thanks ☺️ Really hope this might be a turning point for me 🤞🏼

So sorry to hear that. What does that mean for you guys? Is the sperm that he has stored OK? Or will that be the same? X

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 20:49

@Flowerkm I feel more normal today than anything... quite tired but then I always am. And way belchy over the last 2 days. Did a test again this morning and still positive so... it's so weird that literally all you can do till week 12 is test occasionally and wait.

lawandgin · 22/09/2020 22:10

@MintGreenLife sperm stored is still good to use and they can always surgically extract more from the testicles 😬 so I think we have decided to do another surgical retrieval, compare to the last one and go with whatever looks the best. So definitely IVF, just not sure on the form yet! If you girls don't mind, I'd love to stick around and see how you all get on 😊 you never know, I might be able to provide some useful insight with my own issues 😂

Flowerkm · 23/09/2020 07:50

@TheDaydreamBelievers Aw glad you're not feeing to bad, you're right though, 12 weeks seems like such a long time! Would you consider an early scan?

@lawandgin Of course, stick around :) Sounds like you have a good plan and some options. Would love to hear how you get on Smile xx

Flowerkm · 23/09/2020 07:55

Also pretty sure AF is coming today as woke up with period cramps just waiting for her to show..yippee

But going to do some positives from this cycle as @TheDaydreamBelievers did as think thats really important:

  • First cycle of TTC so don't be hard on myself
  • Found my peak LH surges along with ovulation pain without temping Im as sure as i can be I ovulated
  • Managed a 12 day LP
  • 28 day cycle

Next Cycle:

  • Continue tracking LH from day 11
  • Try not to overthink...(who am I kidding)
  • Try and DTD a tad more...
Smile

Morning ladies!

My AR arrived late last night... and today she is here with a vengeance! I'm curled up in front of my laptop in comfy PJ bottoms, a hot water bottle, a cuppa tea and some choccy biscuits Brew.

@Flowerkm @TheDaydreamBelievers I love you post cycle summary, so here is mine:

  • Also my 1st cycle TTC
  • I am elated that my use of B Complex vitamins has helped bring my cycle to within 'normal' limits:
- 32/33 day long - Ov CD17 - LP 14/15 days - Managed to DTD all over fertile period

Next Cycle

  • Continue B Complex
  • Aim to catch LH peak with OPKs
  • Try to DTD every other day until after fertile period

@Flowerkm and @Kay00 those are brilliant summaries and huge congrats on normalising periods a bit post pill! Hope this AF isnt too awful Kay!

OP posts:
Flowerkm · 23/09/2020 08:40

@Kay00 Aww bless you, I hope it eases for you, horrible isn't it :( Im thinking a cuppa soon and catching up with GBBO and will try and get some work done lol Im also now fancying some choccy biccys!!

Great summary and so glad the vitamins have worked for you, thats a lovely cycle :)
Im probably a day behind you as haven't come on just yet but Im sure by the evening she'll be here as the cramps are ramping up a bit.

MrsBtobe2020 · 23/09/2020 08:46

@Kay00 hope you feel better soon, this was always my worry about coming off the pill! I used to love a) knowing exactly when it would turn up and B) not having a bad one!
I've read post pill you can expect an extra long follicular phase, did the vit b complex reduce this for you or just extend LP? I think my LP is OK but yesterday it really hit me that I only get one opportunity every 6 weeks and that's a very long time 😢 especially if it is only 20/25% per each time as well!

Kay00 · 23/09/2020 09:12

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks. The biscuits help!!

MintGreenLife · 23/09/2020 09:17

@lawandgin well that sounds positive :) hope it all works out for you, keep us up to date, and of course stick around!

Those are excellent positives @Flowerkm - I would say that's a great first go at TTC :)

@Kay00 sorry to hear about AF, you've made me want chocolate biscuits now too! Your chart looks brilliant, it's so lovely and clear :) and fab about your good LP!

@MrsBtobe2020 we're in the same boat with the super long follicular phase, although I think maybe my LP isn't up to much either...feel like I haven't got a great chance at the mo ha.

I'm not sure I can take any positives from last cycle, but here's my plan for this cycle...

  • Taking agnus castus in hope it helps regulate my hormones
  • Carry on taking my very expensive prenatals until the run out (not far off), then switch to vitamin b complex, folic acid and vitamin D as well as ubiquinol which I've been taking a few months now
  • Chart BBT, use OPKs and check cervix daily
  • Seed cycle
  • Drink Raspberry Leaf tea every day up until ovulation

Phew!

Kay00 · 23/09/2020 09:20

@Flowerkm oh yes, crack out the choccy biscuits! I hope your cramps aren't too bad too xx

@MrsBtobe2020 thank you also. My follicular phases in my first two cyles off the pill were both really long (32 and 26 days). I used the B-Complex to help shorten it. I took the B-complex from CD1 to 10, then stopped until Ov happened on CD17, then started again until the end of the cycle. I was surprised how well it worked! The B-Complex I use has 100mg B6 and 500ug of B12.

Juno231 · 23/09/2020 10:19

@MintGreenLife ah I'm sorry to hear about the acne! Mine seems to have been a bit better the last month so I'm hopeful that it's on its way back to normal. Glad to hear you got started on agnus castus though, can't wait to see how it works!

@kay00 @Flowerkm love your summaries! I'll jump on that bandwagon at the end of this cycle.

5DPO here and today's temp was 36.80 so nice and high. I'm weirdly feeling zero hope atm (albeit not in a gloomy way!), just waiting for AF as I'm convinced there's no reason why this cycle would work when all the others didn't lol.

Life wise it's all very stressful atm - we're moving on the 30th and our boiler broke this week and will cost £2k to replace. Not what you need when bleeding money due to a house purchase. Work is really busy too and I'm falling behind which gives me a lot of anxiety. PLUS my carpal tunnel flared up so I've been in a fair bit of pain. Got a physio app for that tomorrow at least...

MintGreenLife · 23/09/2020 10:24

@Juno231 that's great yours is looking better now :) from what I've read it usually flares up around 6 months off the pill, which is where I'm at now, hoping I won't have it too long, but that probably all rests on regulating my hormones! Will keep you posted on the agnus castus. I'm feeling positive, but I also think I'm hoping it will make me ovulate sooner rather than later - best try and get a grip on my expectations so that I'm not disappointed when it doesn't happen!

Oh no that is stressful! I've been meaning to ask you how things are going with the move. That's great that it's finally happening and you're going to be in your new house soon, not so great about the boiler. That really sucks, but hopefully once you're in your new home it will be long forgotten about. Sorry to hear about the flare up, everything always comes it once doesn't it! x

Flowerkm · 23/09/2020 10:36

@Juno231 Fingers crossed though! You never know Smile

Oh no! That sounds stressful, not what you need at all. Hope the move goes ok on the 30th :)

Sarahp2308 · 23/09/2020 10:53

@Juno231 sorry to hear things are stressful for you at the moment, the broken boiler happened to us a month after we moved it (in November bloody freezing) it cost us £3k as all the pipework was not to new standard...absolutely nightmare!

I’m the same at work, mega busy and been pulled in every direction at the moment, also been roped into the covid marshall stuff as I work for a local authority that is under a local lockdown so have just kissed goobye to my weekends!

On the brightside I finally have some EWCM so will test for ovulation when I get home!

@Flowerkm GBBO was fab, watched it last night definitely a moment where I gasped at one point, I think you’ll know when I mean when you watch it 🤣

Flowerkm · 23/09/2020 10:59

@Sarahp2308 Haha! Yes i know where you mean Blush loved it, so glad its back on.

Work sounds very busy for you, hope it goes ok with the marshalling and sorry to hear you're on a stricter lockdown :(

Woo! Hope the ovulation tests go ok

MintGreenLife · 23/09/2020 11:22

I've just spotted I have some EWCM today :) that's after I noticed a teeny tiny bit yesterday. For me EWCM doesn't always seem to mean much as I had it for several weeks last cycle and don't think I ovulated. Can't be the Agnus Castus already, but may be a good sign as this is the earliest I've had it so far (CD14), although it did start on CD16 last time and didn't really stop until AF arrived!
