Discussions typically include:

• Baffling temp charts
• Absent or oddly timed EWCM

• AF gone AWOL (current high score is 141 days post pill)

Which BBT thermometer do people use? I may start temping seen as its the only way to confirm ovulation....OPKS are still stark white

@Sarahp2308 - I got a thermometer with my app (Natural cycles). I think any is good but it needs to go to 2 decimal places

Also...I know what none of the shorthand terms are I want to say DPO is days past ovulation but the rest I have no idea!

I'm not temp tracking do you find it helps?

I am really trying to not get engulfed in this and let it control my life...I want to be very if it happens it happens...

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople I am not temping at the mo but I an considering it as i am not 100% sure im am ovulating & temping is the only way to confirm ovulation ...I am the same im don’t want it to take over my life once I can see I am ovulating I’m happy just let what happens be.

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople love your username 😀 Of course, more than welcome to join! What kind of pill were you on? If the combined pill then you're withdrawal bleed should come around 3-5 days after you took your last pill, just like it would when on your break. Think it might be different with the mini pill though x

In brief:
DPO - Days post ovulation
OPK - ovulation predictor kit, urine tests that flag LH rises which CAN signal impending ovulation
LMP - last menstrual period
O - Ovulation, you'll see people say O -1 meaning the day before ovulation
BD - baby dance aka sex. I prefer just writing sex
AF - Auntie Flow (period)

On mumsnet in general DH is dear husband, DP dear partner, DS dear son etc etc

@Sarahp2308 that makes sense really about temping I just thought if I jump the husband every day I'm not on that might work too! its the not knowing that gets me...if someone had told me in Jan I would be off the pill and trying for a baby i would have called them insane!

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you very much! Baby dance cracked me up!! I might mention it to DH instead of asking if he has 5 mins asking him if he wants to do the baby dance and watch him run.

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople - fyi, theres no additional benefit of sex every day vs sex every 2nd day over your fertile period. If you fancy it every day, you do you, but every second day will work just as well

@MintGreenLife I was on the combined pill Yasmin and came off on the 6th September and have had nothing going on since then.

@TheDaydreamBelievers funnily enough I am finding that my sex drive has increased now but its good to know it doesn't really matter i don't want it to become a chore!

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople hmm, did you bleed every time you had your 7 day break? Your first bleed off the pill either way will be your withdrawal bleed x

@MintGreenLife yep everytime I was on my break towards the end of my 7 days I came on for 3 days like clockwork. I have been off it now since the 6th September and nothing has been happening x

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople sorry if you've already said but did you stop the pill mid cycle or at the end? Normally with the combined pill if you finish at the end of your 21 days then you will have your withdrawal bleed as normal? Obviously your body doesn't know you're not planning to restart the tablets 7 days later! Hopefully it all settles for you soon though 🤞I stopped start of May and had 2 normal length cycles (I'm sure anovulatory) and then the next was 6 weeks and I'm now on cd34 of this cycle. Never seen anything on opk though so I've just totally guessed based on cm that I ovulate around cd28!

Morning ladies. I took a FRER but nothing... stark white. At 15DPO I would imagine it would show something, even a shadow, if I was producing any HCG, but my whiter than white test, and my complete lack of any symptoms assures my I am not pregnant. I just wish AF would turn up now so I can start my next cycle.

@Juno231 If you are taking a Vit B Complex too, do you stop for a few days to allow AF to arrive? Or do you continue to take it throughout your cycle?

@kay00 I just take it right the way through. It's a normally occuring vitamin and is part of the pregnacare pills too so I don't think it would prevent AF from showing?

@Kay00 sorry to hear about the BFN, totally know what you mean about AF arriving so you can just start again!

@Juno231 forgot to tell you - my post-pill acne has properly set in now! I was just getting little under the skin bumps on my forehead and temple to start, but now they are bigger and all over my chin and between my eyebrows too, plus I have a few proper spots on the go at the same time too, sigh.

I've taken the plunge and ordered Agnus Castus. The more I read about it the more I think it might help me out. It's arriving today, and I was expecting to speak to the GP today so thought I would wait to take it, but they've pushed it back to Thursday (must have decided it's not urgent/important) so I think I'll just get started as I'm getting seriously frustrated and just want to do something to take action!

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet. I’ve been keeping up with everything, it’s just CD9 for me so not a lot going on!

Am hoping to ovulate earlier this cycle but am still happy to know that I definitely did ovulate last cycle. Have started taking Lloyd’s Pharmacy Mum to Be tablets. I liked the look of them because they were 100% of your RDA for many vitamins including B vitamins, iron, folic avid and vitamins D, E, K and C. Whereas as some of the more expensive ones are an excessive 500% of your RDA so I’m hoping these ones will not be to excessive and will just support my natural cycle rather than alter it too much!

I plan to start OPKs soon but I worry as soon as I do I’ll start getting frustrated at them being white even though I don’t expect to ovulate for probably another 22days! I just want to keep an eye in case it does come earlier 🤞

@TheDaydreamBelievers amazing news has given me hope though! I’m not going to stress too much about cycle length etc and just focus on being healthy.

Sorry you are feeling fed up @MintGreenLife 🙁 I think your funny cycle could definitely be linked to your wedding though. Like you said you potentially did restrict your food in the build up, add that to the stress of wedding, honeymoon and TTC. No wonder your body thought it wouldn’t bother this month 😂 crossing my fingers for you that this month is better!

I've just taken my first Agnus Castus. I've read loooaddss of threads about it over the last day or so and am feeling positive that it will help. Wish me luck! x

@MintGreenLife Ah thats exciting, good luck ☺️ any idea how long they say to notice changes?

@Flowerkm thanks :) well supplement packaging says to take for 3 months to see changes, but that's for PMS. From threads I've read others seem to have found it helped with long cycles fairly promptly, with some even ovulating within a week or so from starting.

I did notice a tiny bit of EWCM this afternoon and had CM in my underwear this morning (sorry, totally TMI) for the first time this cycle, so hopefully things are heading in the right direction anyway. When I say I noticed EWCM, I mean literally the teeniest bit and only because I went looking for it on the toilet paper, but that seems to be what I get for a few days before I start to get it properly, although last cycle I had it for two weeks and it amounted to nothing in the end. We shall see :)

Ooh thats also good news though, hopefully it turns into more! sounds as if things are doing what they should. Hope the temps rise soon for you.

Im ok today, thank you :) CD28 today and 12DPO. Still no AF, no more cramps either so just hoping she does appear soon as still negative tests.
I also had lots of CM in my underwear yesterday (TMI but as you're sharing, Ill share lol) guess its a sign that AF is coming but never had that much before. Hope my cycles don't become long, not after 2 nice ones...xx
