Come one, come all ! A thread for those TTC after coming off hormonal contraceptive pills.

Discussions typically include:

• Baffling temp charts
• Absent or oddly timed EWCM
• Whacky cycle lengths
• AF gone AWOL (current high score is 141 days post pill)

@PumpkinEverything Im CD12 today and i had some EWCM last night but shrugged it off but had lots this morning so guessing Im ovulating soon. App predicts CD15 but I have ovulated sooner in previous cycles so probably not far off.

DTD Saturday and Sunday and going to try and push the OH for tonight just in case Im ovulating earlier (stepping away from OPKS this month) 🤞🏻

@Sperr I managed to convince myself I was pregnant in my first cycle off the pill. I think your hormones go crazy and create a lot of 'symptoms' - it could totally be your month, but don't feel too blue if it's not :)

@Flowerkm thank you, just really hope it carries on going up, as I've had some false starts on temp shifts before!

Checked my cervix this morn though and it's back to low and hard after being very high yesterday, still feels open though. Hopefully that's also a good sign! x

@PumpkinEverything I should technically be 1DPO, so not far behind you then :) I expect your cycle will extend if you've had a normal LP in the past. Fingers crossed for you! x

@PumpkinEverything I am pretty sure bloating is literally just caused by eating haha, intolerances or no! Everyone gets bloated to different degrees throughout the day.

Currently on CD 17, perhaps about 3 DPO (but not totally sure). We dtd every other day all cycle and twice this weekend just because we felt like it so fingers crossed. Also finally got a scan date for end of October (2 months since request was put in omg)!

@PumpkinEverything I’m CD28 & 10DPO, got the usual cramping, boobs that feel like they are made of concrete, hot flashes! Going to try hold out for a few days and see if AF shows up, if not I’ll test

@MintGreenLife can’t believe we are nearly at the end of the thread, that didn’t take long 😂 I’m not very creative so I would of just done ‘post pill ttc party #2’ 😂😂 rubbish i know!

@Flowerkm are you trying to just listen to your body this month? Hopefully you’ve timed DTD well and you ovulate soon!
@MintGreenLife yes I thought we were somewhere around the same! Hopefully we have a good month I’m trying not to symptom spot, but that’s hard as I usually do this anyway trying to figure out when AF will arrive once it reaches this sort of time!

@PumpkinEverything I think I'll find it hard too, as this is actually the first time in 6 months I feel like we've actually got a shot at it! Although who knows what my luteal phase will be like...going to be a nervy couple of weeks!

@Sperr the OPKs can only detect when you are having an LH surge, but cannot confirm ovulation has happened. And it is also possible to get sever LH surges before you ovulate. In my first cycle of the pill I have 2 x LH surges before I finally ovulated on CD32. Its possible you are getting your real peak now and that blood in your CM is ovulation bleeding (some women get this too). In which case it might be worth DTD!

@PumpkinEverything Yep, trying to listen to my body. Used OPKs for 3 cycles and all were quite regular and similar so putting them away :)

Yay @AnonymousXXIX glad there’s a few of us around the same sort of place. Hopefully the next few weeks go quickly while waiting for your scan. Time seems to go so fast at the moment anyway I think.

@Sarahp2308 I love that you mentioned hot flashes. I never knew they existed until I stopped the pill and the first time it happened I was wondering what was wrong with me! I think I want to do the same as you. I know I’d be so tempted to test sooner, but I think if AF hasn’t turned up within the next two weeks if she’s early, I’m going to wait until it’s technically ‘missed’ instead of trying to find out early. That’s the plan anyway...

@PumpkinEverything nor did I, mine are unbelievable but its just my face, it literally burns up but the rest of me is fine...I’m actually having one right now 🤣🤣 it is soo tempting to test early but I don’t want to be disappointed! I think that’s a good plan you’ve got!

Hey hope everyone is ok. I did a cheapie this morning and got a BFN. That should have stopped me testing for the day but as it isn't sensitive. I decided to a CB and I got my BFP 😍 I really want expecting it. Even did a FRER to double check.

I use Clue + PreMom but neither of them predict at all accurately when I ovulate. I really just use it to track dtd & symptoms like cm, cramps & acne.

I use premom as well and it works for me. If you upload LH test results to the app, the prediction would be much accurate.
