@Juno231 don't know what happened with that message! Meant I'm so glad you didn't ovulate CD10 in the end.

I'm CD11 now and not much happening. Think I'll get on to the GP this week and see if they are up for helping me out at all 🤞🏼

Flowerkm · 20/09/2020 20:29

@MintGreenLife Oh wow, bet thats nice to be home, very busy few weeks :)
Im ok thank you, 10DPO today. Ive been feeling a bit under the weather the past week, just feel like Im due on, i thought I had a sickness bug but without being ill but seem ok now. I don't think its a sign of anything as feeling sicky isn't uncommon this time of the month, just hope my hormones aren't playing tricks on me. Feel a bit crampy today and sooo moody so probably due AF any day. Don't want to look into signs to much as i know its still so early xx

MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 20:35

@Flowerkm well you never know ☺️ When do you think you'll test? Or are you waiting to see if AF arrives? Really hoping I ovulate this cycle as don't think I did last cycle. Think (now) DH and I have decided we're not going to stop TTC for next year's 'wedding' and just reasess come early next year as to whether we might need to push it back again another 6 months or whatever. Just thought there's every chance it won't be able to go ahead next year anyway so why stop TTC, and then if we do catch at a time that means I'll be heavily pregnant or due around then we will just push it back. Think the idea of doing it 6 months later just makes everything simpler as hopefully at a minimum we will have a 6 month old and won't be worrying about trying for the second or fitting a bump into my dress! Feel better for working things out x

Flowerkm · 20/09/2020 20:43

@MintGreenLife Will try and hold out for Tuesday so 12DPO if AF doesn't show :)

Aw thats really good you've decided and at least now you know what you're doing and you're right, you don't even know how next year looks and right now its not looking great. My sister is probably going to postpone her wedding and thats in April :(
Such a shame and crappy time for everyone.

Kay00 · 20/09/2020 20:49

@Juno231 😂😂😂

Thanks both xx

MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 20:49

@Flowerkm ohh not long to go now! At least if it's a BFN it's only your first proper try ☺️ But you never know. Ahh yeah it is so rubbish, it's so hard to plan for anything at all, let alone huge milestones! I'm glad we decided to go ahead with a small ceremony this year as makes me feel better about the decision to push back next year again should we need, the main thing is we got married this year I guess, even if it wasn't what we originally planned. At least now I'm not going to stress (too much 😂) if my cycle is still rubbish this time, as it would probably have been our last try before we had to stop for a while, but now we won't be stopping ☺️ Xx

Kay00 · 20/09/2020 20:55

@MintGreenLife I hope it feels good to return home with your husband and to life as a married couple. Congratulations again. I think you have made the right decision to continue to TTC, who knows what the covid situation will be next year?!

@Flowerkm I really have my fingers crossed for you... im pretty sure I'm out so if anyone is going to succeed in their 1st attempt it could be you! 🤞🤞🤞

MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 20:59

Awh thanks @Kay00 ☺️ I don't know why I didn't think of it before, it just came to me one day on honeymoon - we can push it back again if needs be, and to be honest I'm not sure I want all the 'are we, aren't we?' Again! How are you getting on? X

Kay00 · 20/09/2020 21:04

@mintgreenlife im good thanks. 13DPO, no AF, but also BFN on a cheapie. I had spotting for a couple of days (11-12DPO) but then nothing. At least AF didn't arrive whilst I was camping 😁

Flowerkm · 20/09/2020 21:06

@MintGreenLife Exactly, but i think thats why I already feel out as its the first go lol trying not to put pressure on our selves. (Hard not too)

Ah, so true though, at least you're married and now you don't have the pressure of one cycle left, you both can relax (try too hehe) and let it happen which i think will really help ☺️

@Kay00 Ah bless you, thank you! I feel as if AF is coming but keeping everything crossed as well :) xx

Juno231 · 20/09/2020 21:14

@MintGreenLife ah that's so exciting! I was hoping you'd continue :)

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/09/2020 21:14

Hahaha @Juno231 that is so spot on (ps - is this the bad place?!)

Also I was all "look on the bright side" today about AF coming and now it hasn't showed at all... going to give until wed (15/16DPO) then use a FRER.

@TheHotelCalifornia woooo! My high score survives! / glad to hear AF is back in town for you

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:16

@Kay00 well that's a positive! I did see you were going camping and thinking AF was going to arrive, glad it didn't ☺️

@Flowerkm well you've got a 20-30% ish chance each cycle, so no reason why you wouldn't be within a chance ☺️ Haha, I'll try and take a slightly more relaxed approach, maybe 🤔 I wasn't doing OPKs while we were away, so was nice to have a break as I just get endless faint lines anyway! I'll start again tomorrow though. I carried on temping, think I would have found it too frustrating not having a clear picture of what was going on, so felt charting my BBT was worth continuing with. Safe to say I really relaxed, enjoyed my food and wine, so you never know, that may have helped my body along in a weird roundabout way! Xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/09/2020 21:16

@Kay00 in a way good your camp trip wasnt ruined by a red wave!

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:17

@Juno231 awh thanks ☺️ I would have been gutted if we stopped, even if only for a few months. How are you getting on? Need to catch up with you all properly! X

MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers how many DPO are you at the mo? Interesting you had some spotting but it's stopped now! I think I'm going to get on to the GP this week as I'm 6 months off the pill now and I'm fairly certain I've only had one ovulatory cycle, or at least only one cycle where I've ovulated and had a normal LP!

lawandgin · 20/09/2020 21:19

@TheHotelCalifornia at last, I bet you were so relieved! Fingers crossed this is the start of everything getting back to normal for you 😊

I think it helps that my consultant is also a fertility consultant at the London Women's Clinic. Helpfully this is where we have DH's sperm stored which was taken during his reversal op. It does throw a bit of a spanner in the works in that if I wanted to stay with this consultant, I would be paying a lot more than the clinic I was thinking we'd go to. But he's so lovely and seems very good so far, it might be enough to sway me... anyway, last tablet tonight so expecting AF in the next few days. I've read some horror stories about these pills and although I've felt fine on them, I'm worried the drop in progesterone is going to turn me into a PMT mess. We'll find out soon 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/09/2020 21:23

Ovulation was CD 33 or 34 and this is CD46 so 13/14DPO @MintGreenLife

I think I jumped the gun calling it spotting, I had one tiny brownish stain this morning on toilet paper then nothing since

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:29

@TheDaydreamBelievers hmm well you're definitely not out then! My AF was weird this time, but I definitely had bright red flow from day one. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Have you asked the GP at all about the reason for late ovulation? We're in the same boat with that x

Flowerkm · 20/09/2020 21:30

@MintGreenLife Thank you :)
Haha! I say it like 'relax, its fine' but I wouldn't take my own advice, Im already planning next cycle 🤣 I do believe relaxing helps though, so many stories of when people stopped trying they fell pregnant so you never know, its nice to treat yourself nevertheless.

@lawandgin I can imagine its nice to have someone you feel comfortable with though, that will help a lot. Also hope your PMT isn't to bad! Xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/09/2020 21:33

@MintGreenLife the GP has referred me to a gynaecology wait list and unless we hit a year with no baby I dont think is interested in seeing me again. Their explanation for slow ovulation is "came off the pill within last year ". They dont seem keen to be more detailed. If this AF does not show and I am not getting a BFP either I will chase again

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:34

@Flowerkm I'm just hoping that it might bring on ovulation a bit earlier! One reason for not ovulating is not eating enough, and I was being very careful before the wedding, so maybe that hasn't helped things. We shall see! All I want is to just ovulate before CD21 which is considered 'normal' surely that's not too much to ask 😂

MintGreenLife · 20/09/2020 21:36

@TheDaydreamBelievers so unhelpful 🤦🏻‍♀️ Do you know how long the wait list is? See I feel like they can't use that as an excuse, as it actually says on the NHS website that your cycle should fall back to its natural pattern within three months off the pill

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/09/2020 21:38

@MintGreenLife that's really good to know! Gynaecology refused point blank to tell me. GP estimated at approximately 6 months +

@TheDaydreamBelievers here's the link in case you ever need to reference it! www.nhs.uk/conditions/contraception/when-periods-after-stopping-pill/

I'm hoping it'll help back me up if they try and fob me off with the whole '12 months' thing!
