@stepmumSw5 aww massive congrats!! So pleased everything is going well and wishing you all the luck on your scan.

@dobzyj definitely have the cake and wine! Sorry about AF! We are all here for you though

dobzyj · 02/11/2020 08:27

@ReiRiko fx for today. Let us know 😃

LT103 · 02/11/2020 08:27

@stepmumSW5 so glad everything is going well and you get to see your little baby again soon on the scan!!

@upschittscreek welcome!! I would definitely recommend starting it easy and not jumping straight into all the stressful monitoring. Someone told me once and I completely ignored it haha. Wishing I hadn’t now.
You will get a million different answers to that question. I just use the cheaper monitoring strips. I buy Femometer ones and use the free app to take pics of the strip and it interprets them for you. Can get a box with like 50 ovulation strips and 20 pregnancy strips from Amazon for about £15. Ive never had any issues with using them (other than this month where I have the craziest cycle). I attached my results a couple of pages back so you could have a look. A lot of people use the clear blue which I think is more reliable but way more expensive.
The best pregnancy tests are pink dye ones usually first response. They do an early one that can detect pregnancy 5-6 days before period. I have a couple of these but would only use them if I was sure I was pregnant. If I’m just wanting to satisfy my urge to test, I just use the cheap femometer ones saving the frer for confirming any like I get on the cheap ones.

LT103 · 02/11/2020 08:28

@dobzyj sorry af arrived. Lots of cake and wine for sure and fingers crossed for this cycle.

Omg I'm so sorry about AF. It's so frustrating! Have as much cake and wine as you like, you deserve it 😅

I did an FRER today (estimated 12dpo) which came out negative... I'm just waiting for AF to arrive at this point. Will keep testing daily with cheapies until then. Sore boobs are still present so I don't know what to think 🤷‍♀️

stepmumSW5 · 02/11/2020 11:43

Thank you @LT103 and @CAG14 😘

ReiRiko · 02/11/2020 15:06

I can see the slightest tint of brown or dark yellow.... AF is on her way 😩😩😩 pls don't come

LT103 · 03/11/2020 06:46

@ReiRiko hoping af stays away for you!!!

I def think either my opk are incorrect this cycle or I haven’t ovulated
If I remove the fact I got a positive opk on cd25 and 26 then I have a pretty convincing cover line and temp rise following my ewcm on day21. But I didn’t get a peak opk then??? So confusing. My chart def looks like that’s when I ovulated. It doesn’t make sense. Think I’ll just assume I’m out this month and wait on next cycle 🙈

@LT103 hmm yeah judging by your temps last couple of days I'd agree with you. Sorry lovely. Don't let the onset of another lockdown put you off contacting your GP. Did you say you were going to after this cycle?

AF hasn't shown her face yet which is a relief. I was sure I was out. Ok so today bfn again on cheapies, 13dpo. I'm thinking maybe I should use my other FRER tomorrow since I thinkkkkkkk I've seen a whisper of a line on the first one I used yesterday. I might just be imagining things though. If it was a line then it should be darker tomorrow.

@LT103 I'm not quite sure what's going on the, I don't temp so these charts have always been a puzzle to me! Hopefully AF won't show her face any time soon!

CAG14 · 03/11/2020 13:50

@lt103 that is really confusing! Everything is such a head fcuk isn't it!

@reiriko fingers crossed for a BFP on your FRER tomorrow then!!!

How is everyone feeling about lockdown 2.0? As im sure everyone is im just hoping it doesn't last longer. Was meant to have my driving test on Friday which has now been cancelled. We've been in tier 3 so not much change for us, but im just trying to focus on the positives and be grateful for my home/job and being able to afford dinner on the table.

Stabal · 03/11/2020 14:36

@ReiRiko let us know how the frer goes, post a picture so we can inspect 😂

@LT103 your chart has me at a loss honestly. So odd. It's annoying that you won't be able to make some sense until AF arrives.. but obviously hoping she doesn't!

@CAG14 we're into week 3 of our lockdown here in N.I. It's not really been much of a change for us. We've kept ourselves to ourselves even when everything was opened again. Our schools were closed for 2 weeks but started back again yesterday so I've had some time off which was nice but I feel like I need more. OH is on furlough again until the 13th but I think they'll probably make it longer. I hate that it kind of feels 'normal' now but yeah, totally fed up with it lol

LT103 · 03/11/2020 15:36

@stabal @CAG14 I know. I have no idea so will just patiently await af or hopefully lack of. If I go with first dates then tomorrow is 10dpo so I might test 🤦🏻‍♀️ But then I may only be 4dpo haha. Oh dear. It’s going to be a long month!

Im in Scotland so avoiding lockdown so far but we are tier 3 with threat of tier 4 so we might as well be in lockdown. Haven’t really been doing much for months now so not much difference for me!

QFT123 · 03/11/2020 15:56

Hello all,

I'm currently 8dpo and due AF on Sunday. I feel different this month and have also had a dip in temp this morning which is out of character for me (I've been temping for years as was using it to avoid pregnancy originally). I've read it could be an implantation dip but I also really don't want to put any hope on that.

I know I should just wait to see if AF comes but I don't think I can. I am planning on doing a test on Thursday to see.

I have run out of my testing stock and so before I go out and buy a few more, please can I ask which you think are the best for early testing? I know lots of people use FRER but wondered if they are the best?

Thank you ladies! As always, sending baby dust your way Star

LT103 · 03/11/2020 17:44

@QFT123 I think the pink dye tests are more reliable. The frer are prob the best for early testing I just use the cheap Femometer ones and have frer there if I get a line on the cheap ones just to confirm. Saves me spending a fortune on test strips since I like to poas!

Stabal · 03/11/2020 19:33

@QFT123 hi! Mid luteal phase dips can appear on both pregnant and non pregnant charts so I know it's easy to feel excited but just be cautious. They're usually from an estrogen surge. Frer are the most sensitive so the best to go with but make sure they're proper ones and not cheap ones from amazon as they've been known to cause indent lines recently. Good luck!

QFT123 · 03/11/2020 21:40

@Stabal thank you, yes I'm fulling not expecting to get a BFP when I test, I never do expect to now. Our minds and bodies are wonderful at playing tricks on us!

@LT103 thank you, I will pop out to get more FRER Smile

ReiRiko · 04/11/2020 07:16

Got bfn on the test and woke up to brown spotting. I think AF is here 😩 breasts are noticeably less sore this morning so I'm guess my progesterone dipped and body is starting a period. Next time to save my sanity I won't start testing till after 13dpo or 14dpo.

I might have been delusional with that faint line on the first FRER... I can see the faintest line on this 2nd one too but it won't show on the camera. I'm probably just imagining things 🙄 the fact that it didn't get stronger is indicative of true bfn.

LT103 · 04/11/2020 08:00

@ReiRiko sorry af is here. I gave up on early testing. I still do the occasional one but never get ott excited about them. I had a false positive before and that completely put me off testing early!!
This month I’m def not testing early as I have no idea where I am in my cycle. Going by temp alone and first lot of ewcm I’m 10dpo and spike in temp today. However I’m so confused this month so who knows!!!

Originalusername6432762 · 04/11/2020 08:28

@ReiRiko
Sorry to hear ☹️
I'm trying to wait as last month I tested and it was negative but for some reason it got my hopes up even more and then my period arrived late. I guess maybe just one disappointment is enough each month!

Stabal · 04/11/2020 18:20

@ReiRiko I'm sorry. Will you do another round of clomid next cycle?

ReiRiko · 04/11/2020 19:46

@LT103 I would say to start testing in a couple of days and if unsure what dpo you are just test when your period is due. It will save you not only money but mental energy as well. Jesus, I was going mental the last few days thinking about my fmu and faint lines.

@Originalusername6432762 it really sucks doesn't it!! I had my hopes up too when my nipples started to hurt and then my boobs started to hurt more than usual... like anything that brushed them caused me pain. Oh well. Good luck to you my lovely!

@Stabal Yes, I will start my clomid (50mg 4th cycle) tomorrow hopefully. At least now I know what to expect with clomid cycles... late ovulation, longer cycles and achey boobies 🙃🙃🙃
