Hi girls,
Im currently in the tww and wondering if anyone is too and wants to share their journey. Im currently 8DPO and am doing my best to NOT poas though its so hard! Im literally an addict...but so far so good. Im determined this time to not test before 12DPO!
Bit about me: im 37, Have been ttc for just over a year now and in that time sadly had a MMC x 2 and more recently an ectopic requiring tube removal. So afraid that I wont be able to concieve on the side of my existing tube but ya gota have hope, right?! Hoping for a rainbow baby on this our fourth attempt.

Symptoms so far:
-Bigger boobs but not sore (yet)

  • loads of rumblings going on low down
  • sleepy after food
  • weight loss ( though im on the large side so no harm there!)
  • odd lower back pain
  • VERY emotional (poor hubbie!)

Would love to chat to ladies in a similar boat to symptom share and have a laugh with in this horrible tww fiasco! Fingers crossed for baby dust for all hoping for their BFP ✨🤰🤗❤

Hello!

I'm in the same boat as you! Currently 8dpo! This is my first month TTC so the urge to test is unreal! AF is due on 6th Sept 😳

I'm 26 and today I've been really tired, having hot flushes and headaches! Yesterday I had about half an hour of being nauseous - but I'm sure my mind is playing tricks on me!! Going to try and hold off testing until Sunday at least, although it's driving me crazy!!

Sending you lots of luck and baby dust. Glad to have found someone on the same DPO as me 😊 xx

DontFadeAway · 31/08/2020 19:04

Forgot to add, I'm so sorry to hear about your MMC's and ectopic. I've got my fingers crossed for you and wishing you lots of baby dust for your rainbow baby 🌈🌈

Glad I've found someone to talk to!

mouldygrapes · 31/08/2020 19:26

Hi both! I’ll join you.
I’m 4 dpo and this is cycle 4 since I came off the Mirena. TTC our first. It took a couple of months for periods to return properly so think there’s only been 1 cycle where we could have been in with a good chance. I’ll be 37 in November.
I’m trying acupuncture and if nothing else it seems to have chilled me out a bit. Helps to stop some of the chatter in the brain. I ovulated on d11 this month which is the first month I’ve properly tracked BBTs, but also felt it and had lots of ewcm. Felt a bit early for me, but still getting to grips with my cycles.
Going to try to take it easy during this 2ww as I’ve definitely stressed myself out before and it’s not worth it. If this month isn’t the one, I have 2 weeks of holiday in Sept and intend to enjoy it, relax, walk lots, de-stress and get myself into the best position for when it eventually (hopefully) happens.

Sorry about your MMCs and ectopic @ChasingRainbow. I hope this cycle is lucky for you.

Jadeb1995 · 31/08/2020 19:31

Heyyy, I'm 5 DPO, 5th month of trying, we had a chemical and then took a month off so technically 4th month.

This month we gave it our all, DTD the 5 days in a row around ovulation. Been taking coq10, folic acid, DHA & B complex. Partner has been taking vitamin c.

I also used the clearblue advanced this month and had 10 high days before my peak! Also been temping for the first time which I find really useful.

My boobs are super swollen recently and falling out of my bra, also had some cramps but I know it's too early for symptoms. So hard not to read into everything!!

Jadeb1995 · 31/08/2020 19:32

Forgot to add, I'm 25 partner is 30 and we're ttc baby number 1

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 19:42

Hey, I'm 8DPO too!

So sorry for your losses. Here's hoping this is your month! 🌈

Only symptoms I have so far are increased appetite & slight cramping! Trying to hold off testing until 12DPO at the earliest...

We are trying for our first child... but it will be our second pregnancy 💔

GanderousGoose · 31/08/2020 20:00

Hi I'm 40, TTC no. 2. Currently somewhere between 7-9dpo, I think, and have already tested like a crazy woman. Trying to make myself stop until Weds at least. AF due 6 Sept as well!

ChasingRainbow · 31/08/2020 20:13

Wow, that was quick lol!
Hi girls 👋... this is fantastic to have so many of us at almost the same stage!

@DontFadeAway im also due the dreaded witch on 6th Sept. Hopefully she finds neither of us, with some luck! I totally forgot to say that I too am really really nauseous, especially if I havent eaten. And dizzy, that too. The symptom spotting is so hard not to do!!

@mouldygrapes I have to say im loving your outlook. Keep meaning to get around to trying accupuncture. You have just reminded me!

@Jadeb1995 hi 👋 & sorry to read of your chemical. Im also taking coq10, methylfolate, omega, zinc & vit D. After reading up a bit and talking to my friend who is majorly into all things holistic, she said selenium is important also because its thought to assist with implantation somehow? Hoping this is your little 🌈 xx

@bellaashley delighted to have another 8DPOer on board! And wishing you the best of luck and lots of baby dust.

So, I think im gonna test on Friday morn.
Have been eyeing up that Frer like a trophy for the past few days!! Hoping I can hold out.
Any of you girls aiming for then (will be 12 dpo)?
So so delighted we have our little group up and going. Baby dust to all of us x x x x ✨

This is so nice that we're all at the same stage of our cycles! I'm due AF on 9th but I ovulated 2 days earlier so it could be 7th. Hoping it never shows itself!

Ive been making pineapple smoothies since ovulation as I read online that it helps with implantation. Has anyone else tried it?

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 20:28

@ChasingRainbow thanks lovely.

I'm excited to follow each everyone's journey 🌟

Would everyone recommend FRER as best early response test? I have ClearBlue 6 days early here at home but thinking of purchasing a FRER after seeing it widely used on here!

Jadeb1995 oh no I've never tried pineapple? I'll have to give it a go! 🍍

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 20:30

Sorry @Jadeb1995 the tag didn't work on above post! I'm new to this commenting malarkey 😂

ChasingRainbow · 31/08/2020 20:43

@Jadeb1995 im with youWink Actually close to turning into a pineapple at this stage! In fairness i love it alot luckily. Im not sure exactly how its thought to help but I think the enzyme in it acts as an anti-inflammatory (like baby aspirin I guess?)

@bellaashley dont worry! Im not great either at using mumsnet, quite new to it also. We'l get there 🤗
I saw something on Dr goggle during one of my trawls where someone compared all Hpts and documented their sensitivity.
Frer is meant to be the most sensitive at 12miu I think. For reference clear blue digital is 25miu as far as I remember. Iv never used tescos own or superdrug, both meant to be pretty good. Though I guess if you are patient and SANE you will wait it out as long as possible, then you should have enough HCG for any test to pick up.

On another note...is anyone taking baby aspirin? Im in Ireland so it has to be prescribed here. A lot of people talk about it as helpful, especially (and only) if had past losses though 🤔

ChasingRainbow · 31/08/2020 20:45

Ps just joking with the 'Sane' comment!
No offence intended X

Ahh that's good @ChasingRainbow, I bloody hate it!! Forcing it down each day, I planned to do it up to 8dpo, what about you?

@Bellaashley not sure whether it does much but thought I'd give it ago!! It has to be the core though so I blend it up.

In regards to tests, I just use the cheap amazon ones to be honest.

When is everyone thinking about testing?

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 20:55

@ChasingRainbow is sanity a thing during a TWW? 🤣

That's really helpful thanks - I'll be purchasing FRER now then ☺️

I've not heard of baby aspirin sorry but hopefully someone else on here has xx

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 20:57

@Jadeb1995 I'm going to try and hold out until Friday (12DPO) 🤞 what about you?

LT103 · 31/08/2020 21:01

Hi there! I’ll join in! I’m currently 7/8 dpo (depending on which app).

I’m 38, ttc #1 and on cycle 4. I’ve been tracking with opk and temp for last couple of months. Ovulated a week late this month for some reason at cd21.
Had cramps/back pain 2 days ago and temp fallen last 3 days but no signs of af coming yet. I usually spot few days before so will see what happens. Not holding out lots of hope this month.

Stopped taking pregnacare this month and changed back to folic acid. Took evening primrose oil up until ovulation which helped ewcm. Tried pineapple core and brazilnuts too. I’ll try anything 🤣

Jadeb1995 · 31/08/2020 21:02

@Bellaashley I'm tempted to do Saturday which will be 10dpo as we're away for the night to celebrate anniversary so would be amazing to tell other half then.

If not I'll probably hold out until AF next Wednesday

babblebeee · 31/08/2020 21:02

Hi, I'm 2 DPO TTC baby no. 2. 1st cycle so hoping luck is on my side but prepared for a long wait. I'm already counting down the days though!

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 21:11

Welcome @LT103 ☺️

I'm taking folic acid, DHA & COQ10. I also track using OPKs - it was a minefield at first but now I feel like I've got a system. I can usually feel when I'm about to ovulate (pain on my left side), so I use cheap OPKs to check and then ClearBlue digital to confirm.

Have you planned on when you'll test or are you holding out?

X

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 21:13

@Jadeb1995 oh how lovely! That would be amazing 🤞🙌

LT103 · 31/08/2020 21:18

@Bellaashley I was planning to test on Wednesday at 10dpo

I’ve had a false positive before so I’m a bit wary of early testing. I had a really obvious pink line but followed up by negatives.

Bellaashley · 31/08/2020 21:27

@LT103 sorry to hear that 😔 that must of been difficult!

Fingers crossed this time for you 🤞

DontFadeAway · 31/08/2020 21:29

Welcome everyone! Hope you're all well 😊

@Bellaashley amazing - we seem to have an identical cycle! 🎉

Sending you all lots of love and baby dust - really glad there's a platform

DontFadeAway · 31/08/2020 21:30

** pressed post too early!!

I'm so glad there's a platform we can all use to talk and share advice. It's pretty daunting as a first time TTC! Good luck everyone and fingers crossed for lots of BFP's over the next few weeks 😘😘
