@KatiePlus3 as with everything, these sre just the general rules of BBT but anything can always happen. Generally, you will see a drop a couple of days before AF or at least a downwards trend back down to your pre ovulation temps if you haven't conceived. If you have the theory is your temperature stays in the higher range. They don't need to keep escalating but just in general be in the higher range if that makes sense. Most people if they still have a high temperature at 14/15dpo will test because you are likely to have conceived xx

@MinnieMouse4 ah I'm glad you got an answer either way and you can move onto a new month/cycle. What cycle day do you normally ovulate? Do you know? Xx

Hope everyone else is okay too! My temp went back up this morning so still in the game.. 8dpo now. Time is going so slowly, haha.

Morning! Had done FRER with FMU and have a bfn! I'm not testing anymore, with my other children I always showed on a test a week before my period was due I know deep down it hasnt happened so will sit back and wait patiently for AF and try again next month :( Have a lovely day guys xx

Dizzy201 · 10/09/2020 08:01

Good luck to everyone testing 🤞 sorry yours wasn't a line @KatiePlus3, hoping for some summer babies over the next few months xx

I'm gonna test again over the weekend and see if my line has gotten any darker 🙃

Sully84 · 10/09/2020 08:02

@KatiePlus3 sorry for the BFN, have a few days of spoiling yourself x

I’m on day 38 and still no AF Confused, agreed with husband if no change by next week then get a scan sorted. Heard some news yesterday that made me feel so grateful for what I do have that I’m going to try not to be so focused on getting pregnant (but do want to know what is going on with my body!)

Wishingfornumber2 · 10/09/2020 09:14

Sorry to the ladies that have had a BFN recently. Really hoping your next cycle is the one!

@VP91x your temps are looking promising 🤞.

Just had text from drs to give them a call so I did and they said my progesterone levels from my bt on Monday have come back as unknown and they have booked me in to have a call with a dr tomorrow morning. I did say I guessed when 7 days before my next period would be as they have been irregular recently. Does anyone think this is why it has come back as unknown?

VP91x · 10/09/2020 09:36

@Wishingfornumber2 thank you.

Oh I'm not sure when I had mine they came back as 0.5 but not unknown. Regardless of where in your cycle there should be a level of progesterone. Maybe they just didn't do test it properly? X

@VP91x the girl on the phone did say something about problems with ice online? She was just reading from a screen and could tell she didn’t know what it was all about really bless her. But perhaps the bloods weren’t packed in ice properly or something? Will see what the dr says tomorrow. X

VP91x · 10/09/2020 10:18

@Wishingfornumber2 that sounds like what would have been the issue. You woukd have some sort of reading even if it was 0.5 like me where I hadn't ovulated that cycle xx

OP posts:
MinnieMouse4 · 10/09/2020 12:35

@VP91x yes I feel so much better today now that I know where I am - although I must admit that first AF post MC is not very pleasant 👎🏻
I don’t actually know what day I usually ovulate as I only really started tracking after the MC and I didn’t use the OPKs long enough to get a peak so I will be starting from the beginning this cycle. However, going from the cycle I fell pregnant, I must have ovulated around CD19 as that was the only day in that cycle we managed BD so at least I have that to use my basis.
Do you think that is late considering I only usually have a 27 day cycle? Xx

@KatiePlus3 sorry to hear about your BFN. You’re still not out of the game until AF arrives so I have everything crossed for you! Xx

@Dizzy201 I have my fingers crossed for line progression for you 🤞🏻 Xx

@Sully84 I’m so sorry that nothing has changed yet. I know how much that was stressing me out so I really do sympathise with you and hope you get an answer soon. Is this the first AF post MC? Xx

chloedancer897 · 10/09/2020 13:01

@KatiePlus3 I know it's expensive but I 100% recommend the Ava. It does your temp while you sleep and was so accurate for me. I feel like I know my cycle so well now. So sorry for BFN, I hope you're ok x

@VP91x look at that chart! It's perfect!

@MichT4 how are you? Any sign of AF?

@Dizzy201 fingers crossed for some line progression for you!x

Firevie · 10/09/2020 13:45

Ladies, update from me - I just wiped and had some light red blood on it. So means, af is Here. Af was predicted for 12sept so I’m happy that I’ve got my AF early because pre MMC I used to have very long cycles often up to 45 days so this seems quite good now actually as I’m cd30 BUT it looks like my LP is shorter than it was pre MMC. Pre MMC it used to be 14days. Last cycle ie first cycle post MMC my luteal phase was 10days. And today is the 11th day of my luteal phase. What do you ladies think? I think some of you were talking about shorter LP so perhaps one of you can offer advice? I will also call my OBGYN in Vienna tmr and tell her in case she has some insight too. Xx

Firevie · 10/09/2020 13:54

Also I should just mention that maybe I’ve just always gotten it wrong ie I’ve always marked the day I see red when I wipe as the day of my period but maybe that’s just spotting and period actually only starts when you have a flow and need to put in a pad or use a tampon. So today it’s just red when I wipe so does that mean for purposes of inputting data into the apps that I should just put spotting. And then when it’s full flow tmr or day after day period day one and then that would mean my luteal phase would be 12/13?! Sorry I m not sure if I’m making sense.xxx

familybythesea · 10/09/2020 14:14

@Firevie Hello! I was waffling on about the same thing a few days ago. I'm not sure I'm much help as I have the same concern - I'm not sure what to class as CD1 because I have what seems like the start of my AF, only for it to deteriorate to spotting for a couple of days, then full flow on what would be 13/14dpo. I've been counting CD1 as the first day of bleeding because it was more than just a little bit of blood, but unsure now too. I'd be interested to hear what your obgyn has to say as I was stressing about whether I had my hormone tests on the right day (still don't know about that).
If it helps, I had a short LP with my DS - so it doesn't always cause an issue.

Firevie · 10/09/2020 14:43

@familybythesea ah thanks for sharing that’s very re assuring that you had your DS with a short LP. How short was it then do you remember? So, I def don’t have full flow as yet and I think Fertility Friend only marks it as a period once it’s not spotting or light but I’m a newbie to FF so learning as I go along. I’m 11dpo today and I think they only say to be cautious when you have a LP of 10days or shorter? No expert though so would be interested what the experts on here have to say xxx

familybythesea · 10/09/2020 14:56

@Firevie It was 10 days when I successfully conceived my DS - as I understand it 11+ days is fine, whereas 9/10 can be seen by some as borderline. Some seem to think it can be problematic because of implantation, but as long as implantation can happen before the lining starts coming away then the progesterone it then creates should sort everything out. That's my understanding from what I've read anyway. I am hoping that will be the case for me again in the future, but with one mmc and two chemicals I'm a bit worried my progesterone isn't high enough. Who knows though! I'm hoping testing may shed some light, but not convinced it will give me answers.
I would say it doesn't sound like you should be too worried though.

Firevie · 10/09/2020 15:07

@familybythesea many thanks for this insight! Wishing you all the best and hopefully you’ll have a fertilised egg implant soon!!! I have progesterone tablets from my OBGYN which she said I should start using on the day of ovulation but I didn’t this time as I hadn’t dtd with OH in my FW anyway but will take them next time xxx

Sully84 · 10/09/2020 16:45

@MinnieMouse4 i had my MC in November (surgery December), since then my cycles have varied between 26 and 31 days (pre MC they were always 28 days). My last period was really light bleeding for 10 days that I thought was an anovulatory cycle (never had a period like it before). So a bit confusing at the moment.

@Dizzy201 fingers crossed for the next test Smile

Pugprincess · 10/09/2020 17:06

@Firevie yes I always waited for the full flow to count day 1 XX

Update from me-risk assessment done ✅ xxx

Hope you are all well xx

Bl0ndi3 · 10/09/2020 18:21

Quick update from me

9dpo and cramps but I've had cramps more or less everyday since ovulation day 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
When I got BFP last cycle I had slightly tender boobs at 9dpo which was odd for
me as normally get them later in cycle and I've been having a good old grope today hahaha and no tenderness so I'm a little disheartened.

Will test on Sunday with IC not wasting my money on anything more expensive until I've seen a line on a cheapie first haha I've got 5 so I will keep testing until AF due date as well.

@VP91x ah okay I'm rubbish at temping but your chart looks very perfect to me so fingers crossed!! Tests tomorrow still?

Bl0ndi3 · 10/09/2020 18:24

I should also add I am exhausted today I could've napped on my lunch!

However I wake up at 3:30-4:30 most nights needing a wee so I never get a full night of unbroken sleep - been this way since I was pregnant last cycle 👀🤷🏼‍♀️🙄 so it's could be that but I feel completely drained and it could be a symptom

Lollol86 · 10/09/2020 18:29

Hey how is everyone getting on? Anyone testing in the next few days?

I have my first midwife appointment next week. Feeling very anxious xx

Bl0ndi3 · 10/09/2020 18:34

@Lollol86 aww how exciting 🥰 how far along are you?

I think there's a few testing this weekend, myself included (9dpo today)
😘

Peblet · 10/09/2020 18:47

Evening guys,

Am I okay to join this thread? Had a missed miscarriage on 17/8 at 11 weeks, decided to wait for AF before trying again which should be next week if my body is doing it’s thing, but who knows! 🤞🏻

Best of luck to all those testing 😘
