Evening all, just had a massive catch up on the thread! Sorry I have been incredibly shit, get ready for a massive post with my replies haha!
@Rainbowhope11 Bella has been okay, every morning she walks past the hutch she says that Milo is in the ground but she doesn't really understand it obviously. How was your scan?! Have you started the Clomid what dosage are you on? 50mg? I hope you don't get too many side effects ! xx
@Runnergirl1 That's brilliant that you got your static smiley face yesterday, sorry that I've replied so late. Did you end up having sex again? Sending you lots of luck x
@Northernsoul90 Sorry I just saw this, but I think that Soy Isoflavones help with egg maturity it helps boost the estrogen which does something to the hormones so the eggs are ready to be released. Get her to look into them! They are £4 in Tesco and definitely not harmful to try. They are a natural version of Clomid which is something that maybe the clinic would put her on anyway if she isn't ovulating? xx
@MinnieMouse4 if you are bookmarking you can't get rid of it until you bookmark another post, and it will keep going back it is a good way to track where you last read from! In terms of your question regarding cycle length, then yes typically on luteal phase (second part of the cycle) doesn't vary much. Do you know what yours is/was? It ranges normally from 10-16 days from your ovulation date which determines the length of your cycle, if this makes sense? xx
@Wishingfornumber2 So, because my cycles are irregular too my doctor has been saying to me to book my "CD 21" days for 7 days after I identify ovulation OR if no ovulation detected then roughly about 5/6 days before a period but they are normally aware that it is a bit of a shot in the dark. If you aren't ovulating then it won't make too much difference if it is a few days out, but if you do get an ovulation test then book it for & days after your first peak test.
@Firevie thank you so much your well wishes sent me lots of luck this month. It will be your fertile week again before you know it and at least you know that your cycles are all OK so that is another less thing to worry about. Hopefully it isn't too bad going into the office. x
@familybythesea I am so sorry about your losses. So they day 2 tests are just to test LH/FSH and to check if there is an imbalance apparently to rule out any issues there so normally once you start spotting/bleeding then they should be back to the levels they would look at so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I hope this helps, try not to worry too much. Is there a reason they won't give you the progesterone test? Day 2 tests are basically useless without the day 21 so that is a bit confusing definitely ring them back and ask them for it. xx
@chloedancer897 I really hope you are okay, I know you are protecting yourself with the headspace that you are in but I can't help but feel the sadness when you post. Please be kind to yourself and try and be positive where you can you really never know what each cycle may bring although I know how hard it is when it has been such a long long time for you. Just wanted to let you know I ams sending you so much love x
@BEESY90 wow, I am so so pleased for you that your little one is all okay! Brilliant that you saw lots of growth too. Look after yourself massively. I think @DBTJ also had a bleed similar to what you are describing? xx
@MrsK21 I am really sorry that you got a negative test today and then AF came but as you said massive positive that you had a fairly normal cycle and you ovulated which is the biggest hurdle. Lots of luck for your next cycle which I am sure will be a winner xx
@Lollol86 I hope you are okay? Thinking of you for your scan tomorrow. What time is it booked for? xx
@HappyVibes I am sorry it was a negative for you today hun, but definitely like you said keep to the positive vibes and testing again in a couple of days is the right thing to do! Sending you a massive virtual hug. Great that you also have your appt on Monday that is good timing. Also like one of the others said, I think the digi tests always have a test on. Little tip - the week indicator tests are 10miu and the ones that come in the early testing packs are 25miu so always better to get the weeks indicator ones if you are going to use them to test early. It's so backwards!xx
@MichT4 I really hope you get your period soon so that you can completely have a fresh start - obviously would massively prefer that the news was that of BFP but you know what I mean with having a complete clean slate so that you know that you don't have to worry about anything. xxx
@Bl0ndi3 some people do experience ovulation cramping post ovulation, which is why they say cramping isn't a reliable way of predicting ovulation as it can happen a few days before/during/after! REally annoying answer I know, but hopefully you have a lucky cycle xx
@Sully84 I would definitely contact the GP about it and see if they can re-scan and make sure that everything is okay. If there is a massive waiting list or he refuses then a lot of the ultrasound clinics do something called a wellbeing/fertility scan where it is normally about £130 (if this is something you can do) and they check the wellbeing of the uterus/surrounding areas/ovaries etc which is so so useful. Also if you are getting irregular bleeding maybe push for Day 2/21 bloods xx
Okay little update on me!
I am CD 15 today and I had my scan, and guess what..
I've actually OVULATED!! For the first time since April, couldn't believe it. She said probably within the last 24-36hrs so hopefully we caught it. Lining was all good at 10mm (in case any of you were wondering haha) so I am really pleased.
I am not going to temp and stress myself, so fingers crossed it is a lucky cycle.
