@MinnieMouse4 mine was certainly a different AF after Mc and has been quite different in terms of symptoms before etc. Use this next cycle to track what's normal for you in terms of length of cycle etc and then you'll get a better understanding of when to expect AF xx

chloedancer897 · 04/09/2020 16:18

@MichT4 I'm really enjoying it. It's like a little hour to myself where I can just vent and talk about TTC without boring people lol. I laugh and cry during it and sometimes we just sit in silence but I find it very therapeutic. I highly recommend it. I had to contact a few people before I stumbled across this girl who does it and she's fab.

It's my daughters birthday on Tuesday so she wants to go shopping with a friend tomorrow so I'm escorting then in and then leaving them to it. I can't believe I have a teenager now!

MinnieMouse4 · 04/09/2020 16:27

@MichT4 unfortunately no, but I stopped testing on the day I went camping (Also slipped in a cheeky dtd for good luck before we left) as I forgot to take them with me! I did notice some EWCM the day I left and possibly the day before so I am pretty sure I would have ovulated in the day or so after that.

@chloedancer897 that’s a good idea and when AF does arrive I’ll hopefully have a better understanding of what to expect next month. I’m already stocked up on OPKs ready for my FW too 😁. I didn’t want to wait for my first cycle to TTC again as I think I was blinded by wanting to be pregnant again ASAP xx

Jadem83 · 04/09/2020 16:48

Hi ladies sorry that I haven’t been a very active poster since hopping onboard with you all . I have however been reading through the posts nightly and silently wishing the near future testers the very best of luck 🤞🏼🌈 just haven’t quite gotten round to typing till now . Not much of an update from me as yet currently on cd 12 so hopefully heading towards ovulation 🙏 I’ve typically had a 28 day cycle post mmc in April although last month threw me a curve ball with a 32 day cycle so not quite sure what il be looking at this month in terms of when af is due. First month using cb digital and enjoying dtd as and when we fancy while we wait for those smiley faces 😊 best of luck to everyone testing over the weekend I’ve everything crossed for you that you will get your bfp x

Bl0ndi3 · 04/09/2020 17:17

@MichT4 thank you lovely I've made a separate post about it as I'm very curious why I'm constantly cramping 🥺🤔 xxx

susiebluebell · 04/09/2020 17:32

Yay @Jadem83 good to read an update from you, I was wondering how you were doing!

Sully84 · 04/09/2020 17:35

@BEESY90 amazing news and so lovely to hear a positive outcome.

HappyVibes · 04/09/2020 17:36

Right ladies don’t judge me hahaha but I’ve been a freak! I’ve dismantled my digital test that said negative this morning lmao. See pic attached....thoughts? Genuine and honest thoughts (open to all kinds of insane lady names hahahahaha). I think I’m loosing my mind xxx

HappyVibes · 04/09/2020 17:42

@Bl0ndi3 how did you confirm ovulation? Could you maybe have ovulated a little sooner than you thought & the cramps are implantation crampings maybe lovely? Xxx

HappyVibes · 04/09/2020 17:45

@Jadem83 sometimes it’s nice to sit back and not be overly consumed by the TTC journey. How nice that you’ve been enjoy DTD naturally instead of because of the smileys. Good luck lovely 💓💓

MrsK21 · 04/09/2020 17:50

@HappyVibes there's definitely something there! I only slightly hesitate because on my screen I can't see any colour to you. Maybe in a day or two your levels will increase and it'll turn into a BFP?!
Do you have an early detection one you can check with? Best of luck, hope AF stays away for you! X

MrsK21 · 04/09/2020 17:52

@chloedancer897 I definitely feel more in tune with my body but also going forwards, won't take anything as a potential pg symptom. I had nausea, cramping, nipple pain and sore boobs during this TWW, so I know now that all of these things could mean AF for me.
It's helpful to know what's normal AF now so I can happily ignore it all next cycle 🤪
Really hope your temps stay high! Got a good feeling this month for you xxx

Not insane - intrepid! 😄 I can see a faint line to the right of the control line - is that what you're pointing out?
Bl0ndi3 · 04/09/2020 18:11

@HappyVibes clearblue digital and a positive OPK they started then and have carried on ever since xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 04/09/2020 18:16

@HappyVibes also I do see something on your test. CBDs aren't super sensitive so best not to use those until after missed period try a different test tomorrow? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Wishingfornumber2 · 04/09/2020 18:21

@HappyVibes I did the exact same thing last month!! I saw two lines too. I read up on it online and people were saying there are always two lines. I got excited as at first I read people saying they had two lines when they opened a negative test and later went on to get a bfp. But then found others where they said there are always two lines and sometimes three. A week after doing mine AF arrived. Sorry don’t want to dash your hopes and I really hope you do get a bfp in the next few days 🤞. But just wanted to chip in with my experience. Seems like everything you read about TTC, one woman can have a success story and the next not. X

MinnieMouse4 · 04/09/2020 18:26

@HappyVibes I didn’t even know you could take apart the digital tests but it’s good to know for future reference. I also see a very faint second line! Fingers crossed for a BFP in the next few days for you.

Does anyone check the stick after using a CB OPK and does it mean anything? I think I read on here that people check the digital results but they also check the stick to see if the LH line is there xx

HappyVibes · 04/09/2020 18:46

@Bl0ndi3 @Wishingfornumber2 @MinnieMouse4 @MrsK21 thanks ladies. It is an early detection CB one but digital. Anyhow I’ve gone out and bought more CB early and hcg strips to keep me going for a few days haha. It’s lifted me massively and given me my optimism back at the very least xxx

MinnieMouse4 · 04/09/2020 18:52

@HappyVibes when will you test again? I think I’m having AF pains but can’t be sure xx

Lollol86 · 04/09/2020 18:54

@HappyVibes I can definitely see something there but don't they say the test becomes invalid once you break it open? Xx

Sully84 · 04/09/2020 19:00

Hey all, I’m feeling stuck in limbo.

The month before this one I don’t think I ovulated then when my period was due just had really light bleeding for ten days...so put this down to anovulatory (spelling?) cycle, never had a period like it. Didn’t track for ovulation going into the next month as was on holiday and didn’t take any opks but did get some natural signs Ovulation was on its way (around 13 days after light bleed had started). If I take the first day of that bleed as my last period my period should have been Monday just gone (five or take a couple of days as has been a bit varied since MC). Had all the period type cramps but no spot outbreak. Had lots of CM too just before my period was possibly due (took some ovulation tests just in case and all negative). So now it’s Friday, no period and four BFN tests. I just find it really confusing.

Plan to wait until Monday and if still no show will do one more test then call the doctor.

Separate to this (sorry this is turning into a novel), back in December I had to have the surgical procedure and at a scan just before they had on my notes that I had a ‘hypoechoic cyst’ in my right ovary suggestive of a ‘haemorrhagic cyst’...I asked the surgeon about it but he told me not to worry (but in hindsight I assume he meant it would be an issue in the surgery). I often feel a stabbing pain on my right side and have felt it a lot in past week or so and wonder if it is a/this cyst. Just wondered if anyone has had something similar? It is something I want to ask the doctor about (but have left it so far on account of Covid and having to ring and tell receptionist what issues are and to wait for someone to call you back to let you know in how many weeks the doctor will call you for a phone consultation).

And breathe Grin

chloedancer897 · 04/09/2020 19:00

@MrsK21 I don't read into symptoms at all anymore. The symptoms are caused by a rise in progesterone which you get anyway leading up to AF and I've had them all. I vomited last month, had shortness of breath, gums randomly started bleeding, metallic taste, sore boobs and cramping. Now I'm getting sore boobs and cramping so I'm figuring AF is on her way. I think we are also really looking out for things so maybe picking up potential symptoms thinking they're new but we are just noticing them now? My temps are rising but I've been on night shift so I'm not really trusting them and I'm just waiting to wake up to a big temp drop in the next few days

VP91x · 04/09/2020 19:33

Evening all, just had a massive catch up on the thread! Sorry I have been incredibly shit, get ready for a massive post with my replies haha!

@Rainbowhope11 Bella has been okay, every morning she walks past the hutch she says that Milo is in the ground but she doesn't really understand it obviously. How was your scan?! Have you started the Clomid what dosage are you on? 50mg? I hope you don't get too many side effects ! xx

@Runnergirl1 That's brilliant that you got your static smiley face yesterday, sorry that I've replied so late. Did you end up having sex again? Sending you lots of luck x

@Northernsoul90 Sorry I just saw this, but I think that Soy Isoflavones help with egg maturity it helps boost the estrogen which does something to the hormones so the eggs are ready to be released. Get her to look into them! They are £4 in Tesco and definitely not harmful to try. They are a natural version of Clomid which is something that maybe the clinic would put her on anyway if she isn't ovulating? xx

@MinnieMouse4 if you are bookmarking you can't get rid of it until you bookmark another post, and it will keep going back it is a good way to track where you last read from! In terms of your question regarding cycle length, then yes typically on luteal phase (second part of the cycle) doesn't vary much. Do you know what yours is/was? It ranges normally from 10-16 days from your ovulation date which determines the length of your cycle, if this makes sense? xx

@Wishingfornumber2 So, because my cycles are irregular too my doctor has been saying to me to book my "CD 21" days for 7 days after I identify ovulation OR if no ovulation detected then roughly about 5/6 days before a period but they are normally aware that it is a bit of a shot in the dark. If you aren't ovulating then it won't make too much difference if it is a few days out, but if you do get an ovulation test then book it for & days after your first peak test.

@Firevie thank you so much your well wishes sent me lots of luck this month. It will be your fertile week again before you know it and at least you know that your cycles are all OK so that is another less thing to worry about. Hopefully it isn't too bad going into the office. x

@familybythesea I am so sorry about your losses. So they day 2 tests are just to test LH/FSH and to check if there is an imbalance apparently to rule out any issues there so normally once you start spotting/bleeding then they should be back to the levels they would look at so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I hope this helps, try not to worry too much. Is there a reason they won't give you the progesterone test? Day 2 tests are basically useless without the day 21 so that is a bit confusing definitely ring them back and ask them for it. xx

@chloedancer897 I really hope you are okay, I know you are protecting yourself with the headspace that you are in but I can't help but feel the sadness when you post. Please be kind to yourself and try and be positive where you can you really never know what each cycle may bring although I know how hard it is when it has been such a long long time for you. Just wanted to let you know I ams sending you so much love x

@BEESY90 wow, I am so so pleased for you that your little one is all okay! Brilliant that you saw lots of growth too. Look after yourself massively. I think @DBTJ also had a bleed similar to what you are describing? xx

@MrsK21 I am really sorry that you got a negative test today and then AF came but as you said massive positive that you had a fairly normal cycle and you ovulated which is the biggest hurdle. Lots of luck for your next cycle which I am sure will be a winner xx

@Lollol86 I hope you are okay? Thinking of you for your scan tomorrow. What time is it booked for? xx

@HappyVibes I am sorry it was a negative for you today hun, but definitely like you said keep to the positive vibes and testing again in a couple of days is the right thing to do! Sending you a massive virtual hug. Great that you also have your appt on Monday that is good timing. Also like one of the others said, I think the digi tests always have a test on. Little tip - the week indicator tests are 10miu and the ones that come in the early testing packs are 25miu so always better to get the weeks indicator ones if you are going to use them to test early. It's so backwards!xx

@MichT4 I really hope you get your period soon so that you can completely have a fresh start - obviously would massively prefer that the news was that of BFP but you know what I mean with having a complete clean slate so that you know that you don't have to worry about anything. xxx

@Bl0ndi3 some people do experience ovulation cramping post ovulation, which is why they say cramping isn't a reliable way of predicting ovulation as it can happen a few days before/during/after! REally annoying answer I know, but hopefully you have a lucky cycle xx

@Sully84 I would definitely contact the GP about it and see if they can re-scan and make sure that everything is okay. If there is a massive waiting list or he refuses then a lot of the ultrasound clinics do something called a wellbeing/fertility scan where it is normally about £130 (if this is something you can do) and they check the wellbeing of the uterus/surrounding areas/ovaries etc which is so so useful. Also if you are getting irregular bleeding maybe push for Day 2/21 bloods xx

Okay little update on me!

I am CD 15 today and I had my scan, and guess what..

I've actually OVULATED!! For the first time since April, couldn't believe it. She said probably within the last 24-36hrs so hopefully we caught it. Lining was all good at 10mm (in case any of you were wondering haha) so I am really pleased.

I am not going to temp and stress myself, so fingers crossed it is a lucky cycle.

xxx

@VP91x thanks lovely, it's booked 3.45. I'm so nervous. I dreamt last night that I had a miscarriage 😭😭
I'm so happy that you have ovulated. Such a relief. I'm praying you have caught too 🤞🏻
When do you go to Butlins? Xx

Runnergirl1 · 04/09/2020 19:55

@VP91x. We did manage to get another session in last night which wasn’t easy going to be honest, very hard work but we did it. I instigated sex and he was like are you ovulating and I was casual and just said yeah and think so and that was enough haha. Maybe why we struggled too, too much pressure. But can’t do anymore now so 🤞🏻 What amazing news for you, have everything crossed for you that you caught on the right days. It’s amazing how they know, if only we all had an ultrasound machine at home it would make all our lives much simpler. Honest wish you all the luck for this cycle, hopefully we get our bfp’s this month X
