Right SMEP.. determined. Anyone else?

Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

Morning ladies. Haven't tested this morning. Fed up of squinting and looking at all different angles 😐 will leave it until later or the morning now. If I can 😂 working today so have no temptation. Very achy in my pelvic area, last month my period came cd27 but I think that was due to the lap and dye. I'm cd26 now, period should be due any time from 28-31 so I think if I was pregnant then something would have shown up clear by now. 11dpo I think. Hope everyone is okay xx

Two stark white BFN on two different ICs this morning. I'm so so fed up of waking up with quite strong pre menstrual symptoms and sitting bleary eyed on the loo waiting to read the BFN results. I'm not sure how many more months I can do this

Oh @1940s i know exactly how you feel dont lose hope though. My dp and i have bought a new car so we can have what was his main car as our family car (i currently have a corsa limited addition so very much not a family car more like a chavvy joyboy car haha) and have decided no more methods or opks or preseed just leave it to chance like we did this time last year when we got pregnant so i feel like a massive weight has been lifted and somehow feel less stressed even though i didnt realise i was. I did sneakily check when ovulation would be around for the next few months rhough but he is away working for the next 2 times so looks like hopefully next year will be our year.

I still have everything crossed that those still in the 2ww get their bfp's and i hope we can all stay in touch no matter what the outcome of this month xx

Think I'm going to be at the point of relaxing a bit soon and not looking too much into things. It's becoming obsessive and expensive ☹️ and very disheartening every single month x

So I done a IC again after a 2.5 hour hold. Another silly faint line. I mean this must be a bad batch. It's not getting anymore obvious at all. It's staying the same faint line. But it's coming up within the time frame. Think I should just count myself out. I have another frer but I'm afraid to dip it in my same urine I hate seeing stark white frers!!!

Hey @Bbdm1984 still keep getting those stupid faint lines. Nothings progressing. I'm not testing again until Monday now. I hate the BFN at the end of it. Especially on the frers. I can cope with silly lines on the ICs but frer breaks my heart to see it white ☹️☹️ period due between now and Monday I think so we will see. How are you? X

AF today! CD one again... bloods on Monday hopefully for more information

Oh @Mich2020 really seems like a bad batch of tests. Maybe it's picking up levels of LH or something instead?

Yep 😩 haven't taken another today. But if no AF by tomorrow morning I might try the last one then. CD29 today. X

Oh that sounds torturous Mich. I've had a few Evaps in my time but usually quick quickly confirmed by other tests that day or the day after so I've never been in limbo for more than a couple of hours. I do recall with my first pregnancy vowing never to use ICs again as I never really trust them, despite FRERs being an expense habit I do trust them.

Usually with ICs I get stark white. No squinting no nothing. These seem different. Maybe it's a chemical. Maybe I don't know. I woke up this morning with what I thought was af cramps. But they have gone and no bleeding whatsoever 😐 wish I had a clear answer x

This is so bizarre. Even a chemical would be picked up on a FRER for at least one day. I really think these ICs are picking up LH or another protein in your urine.

It's a guess.... I just think a FRER would pick up pregnancy hormone even on a chemical. I've never seen ICs to produce such such faint faint lines consistently whilst FReRs stay stark white

@1940s yes guess your right. I will see how the clearblue go. The frers ive been using are from amazon. I've heard a lot of bad things about them lately. The shops close to me don't sell them. Only clearblue so thought amazon best bet for them instead x

In The meantime I will keep using these cheapies. My period will officially be late tomorrow. Unless I ovulated later but I did use opks so I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ late implantation maybe. So confusing. Or nothing. Maybe AF is just late x

Another faint line this evening. I'm off to my local shop soon to grab one if there own tests to see if I get anything on them instead.x

This was a 25mui one. Definitely something there. I'm worried this is going to end badly. Been reading up about slow rising hcg. Usually indicates bad news x
