Right SMEP.. determined. Anyone else?

Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

Worked for me. 2nd month of trying. First month didn't follow any particular plan and 2nd month did SMEP and am now 6 weeks pregnant with baby No 2. Also used conceive plus in the 2nd month. 1st month used pre seed. Not sure if it helped but also used Conceive plus the month we got pregnant with our first

Congratulations @Cocomelons good to know about the conceive plus. We have just got the fertility check stuff that comes in those small tubes. But it's very watery and not ideal at all tbf. Think I'll give the conceive plus a go next month of no luck this month x

@Mich2020 af is due any time from the 11th with ovulation due sometime this weekend

@Cocomelons maddive congratulations, did you use the conceive plus once you had your peak opks? Or did you use before?

Luckily for me dp shifts finish on friday so i can take advantage when he has had a drink ha he is more willing to dtd then

Hi everyone, we did the smep this month trying it for the first time. We have been ttc #1 since November 2019. We did every other day and during fertile week every day for 7 days. Just waiting to see if AF shows up in a few days

@Muda have everything crossed for you do you have any symptoms? Keep us updated

@Bbdm1984 just done a cheap opk and it's still not positive but it's getting there 🤞🏻
Also sorry if tmi when I went to the loo to do the test I wiped and am spotting. It's pink but I'm sure last month I had this around ovulation time too. Does anyone else have spotting??
@Muda eek good luck, how did you find dtd every day for 7 days.. reckon I might be able to manage it but sounds tiring 🙄🙄 lol x

@Bbdm1984 no real symptoms- I have an extremely gargley stomach but not sure that’s a symptom or not!

@Mich2020 Af is meant to be due tomorrow, am going to try my very best and wait until Saturday if AF hasn’t shown up as it will then be late. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much but we’ve really tried our hardest this month so it’s hard not to!

@Mich2020 the spotting is a good sign I get it 2 days before ovulation...... I've not done SMEP but I used opk and am 6 wks pregnant.... Good luck xx

Ahh that's good then I have never had it until last cycle where I randomly spotted around ovulation time and now it's happening again, thank you and congratulations @Furbabymum15 x

Think I'll test around 6th september, 🤞 for lots of BFPs on this thread.

@Mich2020 i am away and havent brought my ic opks with me just the cb so still on empty circle but when i eject the test there is a second line getting darker. I have never had spotting half way through cycle sorry. @Mudaso i am no help with that one, hopefully like @Furbabymum15 (congratulations on your bfp) says it is a good sign. @Muda i wish i could have your willpower id have caved and tested by now, i have everything crossed you get your bfp im excited for you

@Bbdm1984 thank you. I didn’t have any IC so I actually peed on a opk stick just to see what happens 🤨 and got quite dark lines so I’m hoping that’s a good sign -Although I did read you can get an LH surge just before AF comes! But it helped curb my poas craving just a little!!

That's a better line than I got this morning with a opk. Still flashy face for me today 😫 feels like it's going on forever this x

Well smiley face has arrived early for me poor dp is going to be fuming im going to be pouncing on him tonight. Quick question thouhh last night when we dtd i had a little bit of pain in right ovary area do you think it was my body telling me i was about to ovulate?

@Muda i have also heard about the positive opks when pregnant i hope this is a good sign for you.. @Mich2020 are your lines getting darker? Im sure it will only be a day or so for you know are you still testing 2 times a day?

@Mich2020 I know a flashy smiley isn’t as good as a static but doesn’t it mean your LH levels are getting higher and still a good time to dtd.

@Bbdm1984 have you checked your cm to see what it’s like?

@Muda i dont tend to get much cm or never usually notice as cant decide if it is cm or left over from dtd, hence me using the preseed, although yesterday i did get a lot of clear cm at teatime last night didnt check to see if it was sticky though as thought it was too early to ovulate maybe i did ovulate overnight as the pain when dtd was quite sharp and one sided

I have tested this morning with fmu on cheap opk and it was slightly darker I know your not meant to use fmu for cheapies though.
I will test again this evening with both and see if there's any difference, a few months ago got static on cb about 10pm so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 xx
